For example, Davidson recorded two pressures and two quarterback hurries while earning himself a season-high pass rush grade of 67.6 from <a href="https://go.redirectingat.com/?xcust=___sb__p_23782083__t_w__r_google.com__d_D&amp;id=66960X1641905&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/marlon-davidson/48741?season=2023&amp;referrer=sbnation.com&amp;sref=https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2023/12/28/24018042/have-titans-found-2024-contributor-in-marlon-davidson" rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Pro Football Focus</strong></a> in a Week 16 defeat to the <a href="https://www.fieldgulls.com/"><strong>Seattle Seahawks</strong></a>. Davidson played 45 snaps in that game, which accounted for 76.3% of all Titans defensive plays. Davidson played another 59 defensive snaps in Tennessee’s final two games. He recorded his only sack in a Week 15 loss to the <a href="https://www.battleredblog.com/"><strong>Houston Texans</strong></a>.</p><p id="Gs9ywG">The Titans lost Denico Autry to free agency earlier this offseason. Arden Key is viewed as a rotational rusher. The Titans don’t have currently have a straightforward answer opposite Harold Landry III on early downs. Davidson is a versatile defender with inside-outside capabilities. Sebastian Joseph-Day could get a look at that position as well. Other candidates include Rashad Weaver, rookie seventh-rounder Jaylen Harrell, and sophomore undrafted free agent Caleb Murphy.</p><p id="jJnVD9">It’s still not an ideal solution, but I’d take Davidson ahead of Murphy, Weaver, and Harrell as of right now. Davidson could end up playing roughly 30-35% of weekly defensive snaps if he takes advantage of his opportunity throughout training camp. New offensive coordinator Nick Holz was his OC with the Jaguars last season. Holz was also Jones’ assistant wide receivers coach with the <a href="https://www.silverandblackpride.com/"><strong>Las Vegas Raiders</strong></a>. Injury limited Jones to eight regular-season appearances last season. He totaled 34 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns. Familiarity would help Jones hit the ground running in Tennessee’s offense this offseason.</p><p id="WZMSE9">The Titans continue to do their homework on available veteran receivers that fit their offense. They hosted <a href="https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2024/5/1/24146786/report-titans-to-host-wr-tyler-boyd-on-free-agent-visit"><strong>Tyler Boyd</strong></a> on a free-agent visit last week. Many assumed signing Boyd was a foregone conclusion given his familiarity with new head coach Brian Callahan. Bringing in Jones for a visit indicates the Titans are looking at alternative options.</p><p id="wnePj1">Jones enjoyed a career-best season in 2022 before his 2023 campaign was cut short by aforementioned injury. Jones totaled personal-highs in receptions (82), and receiving yards (823) two seasons ago. He’d add another layer of veteran protection to Tennessee’s receiver room.</p><p id="6laY5k">The Titans are seemingly looking for a slot receiver to play alongside DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley in 11 personnel. Narveson showcased elite leg strength by making a season-high 57-yard kick. For his career, Narveson made 71-of-91 kicks (78%).</p><p id="cYR0RX">Narveson was a graduate student at NC State that previously played at Western Kentucky. That connection made him eligible to attend the Titans’ local pro day workout. Independent sources confirmed to Music City Miracles that Narveson put forth an impressive showing at the local day, which is where Tennessee’s interest in him was elevated. Titans special teams coach Colt Anderson was especially impressed with Narveson’s workout.</p><p id="TAxhBi">Narveson faces an uphill battle trying to dethrone Folk. It’s worth remembering many felt the same when Ryan Stonehouse entered a training camp battle with Brett Kern. You never know. General manager Ran Carthon will eventually require a succession plan for the aging Folk. At Temple’s Pro Day, he ran an outstanding 4.65 40-yard dash with an elite 10-yard split (1.54). Martin-Robinson also ran an elite 4.08 shuttle, leaped a 35.5 inch vertical, and 9-foot-10 broad jump. Martin-Robinson.’s 8.73 out of 10 Relative Athletic Score makes him the second-most athletic UDFA to sign in Tennessee, trailing just <a href="https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2024/4/30/24145459/titans-2024-udfa-primer-cole-spencer-is-tennessees-high-priced-addition"><strong>Cole Spencer</strong></a>.</p><p id="IkvLR6">The Titans are in the market for third (and maybe fourth) string tight ends. Chig Okonkwo and Josh Whyle are the only tight ends on the team guaranteed a roster spot, and Whyle ended the season on IR. The Farley experiment has been a huge bust. Who could have seen a player who had multiple back surgeries in college having trouble staying healthy in the NFL? Oh, everyone you say? Well, apparently everyone with the exception of Jon Robinson. </p><p id="OXttS9">I could be wrong, but I have always thought the success Jeffery Simmons had coming off a major injury made Robinson think he could get lightning to strike twice and hit with Farley. Spoiler alert: It did not.</p><p id="5R15uZ">Robinson’s hit rate of 5th-year options is a big part of the reason that he is no longer the general manager in Tennessee. He was the general manager for seven drafts with the Tennessee Titans and made eight first-round picks:</p><p id="ovGDzC">2016: Jack Conklin</p><p id="vjdjlD">2017: Corey Davis</p><p id="TIlr4I">2017: Adoree Jackson</p><p id="fnSOwQ">2018: Rashaan Evans</p><p id="AiepYC">2019: Jeffery Simmons</p><p id="JdSopf">2020: Isaiah Wilson</p><p id="x3aAfz">2021: Caleb Farley</p><p id="VEAEkv">2022: Treylon Burks</p><p id="W2mF2M">Only two of those guys, Jackson and Simmons, had their fifth-year options picked up, and they ended up cutting Jackson before he ever played on his.
