<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>How to convert a hard disk partition to NTFS format in windows 7?</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-s8X-3qMQAec/UDk429yZxNI/AAAAAAAAAE0/Swo_tE1OMzs/s1600/NTFS.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-s8X-3qMQAec/UDk429yZxNI/AAAAAAAAAE0/Swo_tE1OMzs/s320/NTFS.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>NTFS:</b> NTFS is a short form for 'New Technology File System'.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The earlier file system in windows operating system was the FAT (file allocation table). The NTFS file system is the latest of the file system which has better performance than the old FAT system. Windows Operating System Has some File system which system convert your hard disk into partition.NTFS is one of the latest file system used by Windows operating systems. The NTFS file system has better performance compared to old FAT file system. If your hard disk partition is formatted for either <a name='more'></a>FAT16 or FAT32 file system, it is possible to convert that partition to NTFS file system. Even if you convert your partition to NTFS file system from FAT file system, the data in that hard disk partition does not get affected. Let us now see how we can convert a hard disk partition to NTFS file system.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b>To Convert A Hard Disk Partition To NTFS &nbsp;Follow This Steps:</b><div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Click Start and then All programs.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click Accessories.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click Command prompt&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click on the option 'Run as Administrator'.
</li>
<li>At the command prompt, type convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>If you want to convert G drive. type" convert G:/fs:ntfs"
<li>Now press Enter&nbsp;</li>
<li>your drive will be converted to NTFS.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
You can convert a partition to NTFS by using the Convert command. But once you cpnvert to NTFS, it cannot be converted back to the FAT file system. If you once again decided to convert back to FAT file system, you need to format the complete hard disk partition which will erase all the data in the partition.<br />You have to close all the applications or programs running on the partition thaqt needs to be converted to NTFS file system.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="color: red;">What are the system recovery options in Windows 7 And How To Use It?</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pZuL8AwvTJY/UDkvdzWQN5I/AAAAAAAAAEU/KmFxHfSpWvQ/s1600/Windows+7+System-Recovery+Options.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pZuL8AwvTJY/UDkvdzWQN5I/AAAAAAAAAEU/KmFxHfSpWvQ/s320/Windows+7+System-Recovery+Options.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The System Recovery Options menu is on the Windows 7 installation disc. If your computer manufacturer (OEM) has preinstalled recovery options, the menu might also be installed on your hard disk as a recovery partition. If your computer does not include the System Recovery Options menu, your computer manufacturer (OEM) might have customized or replaced the tool. Check the information that came with your computer or go to the manufacturer's website.The System Recovery Options menu contains several tools, such as Startup Repair, that can help you recover Windows from a serious error. This set of tools is on your computer's<a name='more'></a> hard disk and on the Windows installation disc.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can also create a system repair disc that contains the System Recovery Options menu.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="font-weight: bold;"><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" />Startup Repair:&nbsp;</b>Fixes certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files, that might prevent Windows from starting correctly.&nbsp;to scan your computer and fix missing or damaged system files that prevent Windows from starting correctly. You can use this tool if you have modified Windows system files or if you installed applications which have modified Windows system files in such a way that the operating system doesn't start anymore.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="font-weight: bold;">System Restore :</b>Restores your computer's system files to an earlier point in time without affecting your files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos. You can use System Restore when you want to revert to an earlier configuration which you know it worked properly.<span style="text-align: justify;">If you use System Restore from the System Recovery Options menu, you cannot undo the restore operation. However, you can run System Restore again and choose a different restore point, if one exists.&nbsp;</span></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Windows Memory Diagnostic</b>:&nbsp;scans your computer's memory for errors. If your computer randomly freezes after you upgraded or changed the RAM modules, it is a good idea to use the Windows Memory Diagnostic to check them for errors.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="font-weight: bold;">System Image Recovery </b><b style="font-weight: bold;">: </b>Can be used to restore a system image. When everything else fails, this can be the solution to your problems. When Startup Repair and System Restore are not helping, try to use the System Image Recovery tool. The only drawback is that you will revert only to the files, folders and applications that were present at the time you created the system image.You need to have created a system image beforehand to use this option. A system image is a personalized backup of the partition that contains Windows, and includes programs and user data, like documents, pictures, and music.&nbsp;</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="display: inline !important;">
<b style="font-weight: bold;">Command Prompt :</b>Advanced users can use Command Prompt to perform recovery-related operations and also run other command line tools for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems.&nbsp;</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>How to open the System Recovery Options menu on a computer ?</b></div>
</b><ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Then restart your computer using the computer's power button.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Do one of the following:&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<li style="text-align: justify;">On the System Recovery Options menu,&nbsp;</li>

</ul>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" />&nbsp;How To open the System Recovery Options menu using a system repair disc or a Windows 7 installation disc ?</b></div>
</b><div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To use this , you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disc.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>

<li style="text-align: justify;">If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If your computer isn't configured to start from a CD or DVD, check the information that came with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Choose your language settings, and then click Next.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If you are using the Windows installation disc,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click Repair your computer.&nbsp;</li>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows Updates helps to keep your Windows 7 computer up to date with all the security fixes and improvements. It is highly recommended to Turn this On in automatic mode for a smooth Windows use.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In Windows 7, the Windows Update tool can be found by opening the Windows Start Orb (Hotkey: Win Key Or CTRL+ESC) on the Toolbar and Type windows update. You can then Press Enter or Click the Program link to open it up.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To enable Windows 7 / Vista from downloading automatic updates, follow these simple steps.<a name='more'></a></div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Open Start menu, right-click on Computer and click Properties.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">This will open System dialog box that will show basic information about your computer.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">On the left sidebar, under See also heading,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You will find Windows Update.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Clicking it will bring you to the Windows Update dialog box,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">On the left sidebar click on Change Settings.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You will notice that Windows has enabled option as default,</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With automatic updating, you don't have to search for updates online or worry that critical fixes for Windows might be missing from your computer. Windows automatically checks for the latest updates for your computer. Depending on the Windows Update settings you choose, Windows can install updates automatically or just let you know they're available.&nbsp;</div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> How do I start updating Windows automatically?&nbsp;</b></div>
</b></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you didn't turn on automatic updates when you first started using your computer,&nbsp;</div>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Open Start menu, right-click on Computer and click Properties.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">This will open System dialog box that will show basic information about your computer.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;On the left sidebar, under See also heading, you will find Windows Update.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">To disable it,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;simply select Never check for updates and you are done.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can use Windows Update service free of coast . It only depands on how you are billed for your Internet connection, standard local and long distance phone charges and Internet service charges might apply for the time required to download an update.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It depends on the type of Internet connection you have and the size and number of updates your computer needs. Updates are automatically downloaded behind the scenes when you're online and don't interfere with other downloads. If you disconnect, updates will continue to download in the background the next time you go online.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows Update contains software tools that detect information about your computer, such as the make and model and the version of Windows and other Microsoft software that your computer is running. Microsoft uses that information to install only the updates your computer needs. For more information, read the Windows Update privacy statement online.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
&nbsp;Windows will automatically install updates for your computer as they become available.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To find out how to get updates for Windows and your other Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Office, go to the Microsoft Update website. If you're already using Microsoft Update to get updates for your computer, Windows Update in Control Panel will automatically open and display your update status.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Updates are downloaded behind the scenes when you're online and don't interfere with other downloads. If you disconnect from the Internet before an update is fully downloaded, the download process will continue the next time you're online.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can choose to install important updates only, or important and recommended updates. Optional updates are not installed automatically. Instead, you can choose to install them by reviewing available updates when you check for updates using Windows Update in Control Panel. For more information, see Turn automatic updating on or off and Change how Windows installs or notifies you about updates. &nbsp;Windows Update will notify you if security and other important updates cannot be installed.</div>

<b><span style="color: red;">What is the Difference &nbsp;32-bit Version &nbsp;and 64-bit Version Windows?</span></b><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nMMvN5voKOc/UDkgTDWw6hI/AAAAAAAAAD0/6qwAKrkvE0Q/s1600/32-Bit+and+64-Bit+Versions64.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="283" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nMMvN5voKOc/UDkgTDWw6hI/AAAAAAAAAD0/6qwAKrkvE0Q/s320/32-Bit+and+64-Bit+Versions64.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /><div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows 7 has done an enormous amount to increase the popularity of 64-bit computing among home users but many people are unclear on what exactly it means (and may not even realize they’re already running it). Today we’re taking a look at the history of 32-bit and 64-bit computing, whether or not your computer can handle it, and the benefits and shortcomings of using a 64-bit Windows environment.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you are running 32 bit version of Windows then you can’t upgrade it to 64-bit version. If you want to install 64-bit version OS then you have to backup your Windows files before installing new version of the OS.Here are answers to some common <a name='more'></a>questions about the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. What is the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows?&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">To check the current version, press the Start button .</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Right click on Computer and select Properties.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
HowTo Know That computer is running a 32-bit or a 64-bit version of Windows?&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Under “System” check “System type”.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">The screenshot given below indicates that my computer has 32-bit operating system.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click on “View and print details”.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">It will display all the details of your computer.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Under system field you can see the details of currently running version and weather your system is capable for 64-bit or not (In mine case it is capable).&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>How to check if your computer can run 64 bit of Windows?</b></div>
</b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To check if your computer has 64 bit capable processor you have to perform following this easy &nbsp;steps.</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click on start button .</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Type “Performance information and tool” inside the search box provided.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click on the result.</li>
</ul>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Advantages of 64 bit computer:</b></div>
</b><div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Using 64-bit version of Windows is that it offers better memory accessibility and management.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Enhanced security features like Kernel Patch Protection,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">upport for hardware-backed data execution protection,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Mandatory driver signing,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Removal of support for 32-bit drivers and removal of the 16-bit subsystem available.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Performance of those programs that are specially written for 64 bit operating system is great.</li>
</ul>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>To see if your computer is running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, do the following:&nbsp;</b></div>
</b><ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click to open System.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Under System, you can view the system type.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Can my computer run a 64-bit version of Windows?&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To run a 64-bit version of Windows, your computer must have a 64-bit-capable processor. If you are unsure whether your processor is 64-bit-capable, do the following:&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click to open Performance Information and Tools.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click View and print detailed performance and system information.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the System section, you can see what type of operating system you're currently running under System type, and whether or not you can run a 64-bit version of Windows under 64-bit capable. (If your computer is already running a 64-bit version of Windows, you won't see the 64-bit capable listing.)&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>How to upgrade from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows?&nbsp;</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You Can't Upgrade from 32 bit version to 64 version. If you are currently running a 32-bit version of Windows, you can only perform an upgrade to another 32-bit version of Windows. Similarly, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows, you can only perform an upgrade to another 64-bit version of Windows.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll need to back up your files and then perform a custom installation of the 64-bit version of Windows. For more information, see Installing and reinstalling Windows.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>How Can run 32-bit programs on a 64-bit computer?&nbsp;</b></div>
</b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Most programs designed for a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows will work on a computer running 64-bit versions of Windows. Notable exceptions are many antivirus programs, and some hardware drivers.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows do not work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. If you're trying to install a printer or other device that only has 32-bit drivers available, it won't work correctly on a 64-bit version of Windows. For information about updating drivers and troubleshooting issues with device drivers for 64-bit versions of Windows, contact the manufacturer of the device or program.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Benefit of using a 64-bit computer?&nbsp;</b></div>
</b><div style="text-align: justify;">
The benefits are most apparent when you have a large amount of random access memory (RAM) installed on your computer, typically 4 GB of RAM or more. In such cases, because a 64-bit operating system can handle large amounts of memory more efficiently than a 32-bit operating system can, a 64-bit system can be more responsive when running several programs at the same time and switching between them frequently.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All hardware devices need 64-bit drivers to work on a 64-bit version of Windows. Drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows don't work on computers running 64-bit versions of Windows.&nbsp;</div>
</div>

If you want to reinstall Windows 7 by performing a custom installation—possibly to restore the default Windows settings—here's how to do it. <br /><br />If Windows is able to run, you can reinstall Windows using Recovery in Control Panel, under Advanced recovery methods. This method reinstalls Windows, either from a recovery image provided by your computer manufacturer, or from the original Windows installation files. You need to reinstall all of the programs that you added, and restore all of your files from a backup.<br />If Windows cannot run at all, you can reinstall Windows using the original installation disc. <br /><br />Warning <br /><br />Back up your files before you begin reinstalling Windows if possible, even if you're reinstalling Windows on a hard disk partition, and you have personal files on a separate partition. For example, if you have encrypted files, you might not be able to access them after reinstalling Windows. A custom installation replaces the current version of Windows and all personal files. <br /><br />Turn on your computer and insert the Windows 7 DVD or CD. <br />On the Install Windows page, follow any instructions that might appear, and then click Install now. <br />On the Get important updates for installation page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You need an Internet connection to get installation updates. <br />On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms. <br /><br />Follow the instructions on each page. On the Which type of installation do you want? page, click Custom. <br /><br />On the Where do you want to install Windows? page, select the partition where you want to install Windows. <br /><br />Click Next to begin the installation. <br /><br />Follow the instructions.</div>

<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Laptops ("notebooks") have a Function key ("FN"). It usually has a blue color. Find it cause we may need to use it later<span style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: sans-serif, arial, 'Arial Unicode MS', 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana; font-size: 13px; line-height: 26px; text-align: justify; text-indent: 53px;">.</span>&nbsp;The keyboard functions on a laptop are similar to keys on a standard keyboard. The difference comes in the use of the “F” keys, or functions keys. The actual activity and icons of these keys may vary by the design of computer. The “FN” key works as a modifier. It changes or modifies the function of another key, like a fancy “shift” key. When pressing this modifier key in conjunction with <a name='more'></a>a function key from the top row of your laptop computer keyboard, you can control some of the processes of the computer.Here Are Some Short Describe About This Function Keys....</div>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</b>Certain laptop keys can act as numeric keypad. Look at photo to see what keys I'm talking about. I highlighted ones that create numeric part of keypad. You can see numbers on them. If you enable "NumLk", those keys will act as keypad keys when you press the "FN" button.<br /><br />Keypad keys are "7", "8", "9", "u", "i", "o", "j", "k", "l" and "m" buttons. If on your laptop you can't find keys with tiny numbers - try them. <br />From user:<br />For those of you that don't have Key Pad, try [FN] + [F11] it may open a calculator-like keypad.<div>
<ul>
<li><b>Colored Hot Keys</b></li>
</ul>
The following defines the colored hot keys on the Notebook PC’s keyboard. The colored commands can only be accessed by first pressing and holding the function key while pressing a key with a colored command.<br /><br />The Hot Key locations on the function keys may vary depending on model but the functions should remain the same. Follow the icons instead of the function keys.<br /><ul>
<li><b>“ZZ” Icon (F1):</b>&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Places the Notebook PC in suspend mode (either Save-to-RAM or Save-to-Disk depending on sleep button setting in power management setup).<br /><ul>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>How to Add Shortcuts in Windows 8 for Shutdown and Restart?</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lqwJjIACI78/UDd785yNPgI/AAAAAAAAACU/WANgJiux1mc/s1600/windows-8-power-button.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lqwJjIACI78/UDd785yNPgI/AAAAAAAAACU/WANgJiux1mc/s320/windows-8-power-button.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows 8 designed with tablets, like the iPad, in mind, so it has a different concept about certain features. You generally don’t shut down tablets completely. They just go into low power mode when you press the power button. That’s why the shut down feature is hidden. It’s not meant to be used a lot. However, adding shut down and restart shortcuts to the Win+X menu, or the Start screen, makes it easier for those of us using desktop computers or laptops we shut down to transport often.If you are new user to windows 8 and want to <a name='more'></a>create a shortcut to restart or shutdown then it is very easy . you can do this using Windows 8 various UI improvements. The Metro Tiles interface is primarily designed for the touch screen but it’s equally easy to navigate with a mouse and keyboard.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
They got rid of the Start Menu in Windows 8 and as a side-result, there’s no dedicated menu option available to quickly shut-down or restart your Windows 8 computer.</div>
<br /><b>How to Shutdown, Restart or Log Off in Windows 8:</b><br /> Press Win + I and Windows 8 will open up the system menu from the right side of the screen There you will see a power button, left click it once and you are shown options to shutdown, hibernate or restart your computer. Pretty easy but if you are like me and unaware of the keyboard shortcut in the first place, it will seem impossible to find this option. <br /><b>To create dedicated shutdown and restart buttons in Windows 8, follow these steps:</b><br /><ul>
<li>Right click on an empty area in the desktop,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Choose “New&gt;Shortcut” and enter the value as C:\windows\system32\shutdown /s /t 0.&nbsp;</li>
<li>This will create a simple system shutdown shortcut on your desktop,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Double clicking which will forcibly</li>
<li>Close all running programs and shut down Windows 8.</li>
</ul>
To make the icon more visually appealing, it makes sense to associate a shutdown image to the icon. To do this, right click the icon, choose properties, switch to the “shortcut” tab and hit the “change icon” button.<br /><br />Next,&nbsp;<div>
<ul>
<li>Choose the red “Turn Off computer” icon (or any other icon you would like)&nbsp;</li>
<li>Press &nbsp;“OK”.</li>
<li>Move this shortcut to this location: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs</li>
</ul>
That's all, now you should see the custom shutdown tile on Windows 8 Metro start screen . Drag the icon and place it on a suitable location on the Metro UI, I would prefer the top right corner. <br /><br />
<div style="background-color: white; margin-bottom: 0.8em;">
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0.8em;">
</div>
<div style="color: black; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;">
There are several shutdown and power down commands that you can make into shortcuts. Creating shortcuts for these commands works exactly the same as our example shutdown shortcut.</div>
<br /><b>Restart Computer shutdown.exe -r -t 00</b><br /><b>Lock Workstation rundll32.exe User32.dll,LockWorkStation</b><br /><b>Hibernate Computer rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll,SetSuspendState</b><br /><b>Sleep Computer rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b>The regular approach I this. As there are no “shutdown” buttons in Windows 8, you can switch to the desktop view and press Alt+F4 to bring the Shut Down menu or the other option is that you press the shortcut key Win+C, go to Settings –&gt; Power –&gt; Shut down.<br />
That’s too many steps especially when you are in a dual-boot environment and need to switch from one OS to another.Wouldn’t it more convenient if you could create simple tiles – like any other metro app – and place them on the Windows 8 desktop so that you can Shut down, Log off or Restart your Windows 8 computer with a simple click (or tap).<br />
<br />
Enter createButtons.vbs – this is a simple utility (or rather a script) that will automatically add Shut Down and other related buttons to your Windows 8 screen. There’s no installation required – just download the file to your desktop and double-click to create the various buttons.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Parental Controls Of &nbsp;Windows Media Center In Windows 7:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K3mcmxj6QKM/UDd3gtEGvEI/AAAAAAAAACE/68NMlCv4TCA/s1600/parental+controls+windows+7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="190" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K3mcmxj6QKM/UDd3gtEGvEI/AAAAAAAAACE/68NMlCv4TCA/s320/parental+controls+windows+7.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft windows 7 has some new features. It is more reliable to use and very easy to configure. You can lock some your documents,music video using windows media centre parental contril.You can use Parental Controls in Windows Media Center to prevent children from watching objectionable TV shows and movies. &nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With parental controls enabled, every time you start playing content, that has a rating higher than the specified threshold, you will get prompted for the <a name='more'></a>PIN. This happens even if you press stop, and then play on the same show. (I like TiVo’s implementation, where once you enter the PIN, parental controls will be disabled for a time, or until the DVR is turned off.)While in the PIN entry screen, content is playing in the background. So if you take a while to enter the PIN, you will have to rewind to not miss any of the content.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When you turn on Parental Controls, you'll be asked to create an access code that you can use later to access restricted content or to change parental control settings. Only TV shows and movies that don't exceed the maximum allowed rating can be viewed without the access code. Not all TV shows and movies are rated, so you can also configure Parental Controls to block unrated content.</div>
<b><img src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> To set Parental Controls :</b><br />On the Windows Media Center start screen, scroll to Tasks, click Settings, click General, and then click Parental Controls. <br />If this is the first time you've accessed Parental Controls, you'll be asked to type and confirm a 4-digit number to use as your access code. We recommend that you write this code down for future reference. <br /><br /><b>Do one of the following:</b><br /><ul>
<li>To set Parental Controls for TV programs</li>
<li>Click TV Ratings, select the Turn on TV blocking check box,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to select a maximum allowed rating.&nbsp;</li>
<li>If you want to restrict content that's not rated,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Select the Block unrated TV programs check box (this is optional).&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click Save.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<b>To adjust the settings by content in addition to rating,&nbsp;</b><div>
<ul>
<li>Click Advanced.&nbsp;</li>
<li>There are five areas that you can set restrictions for: fantasy violence,</li>
<li>Suggestive dialogue, offensive language, sexual content, and violence.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
To set Parental Controls for DVDs and movies</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Click Movie/DVD Ratings,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Select the Turn on movie blocking check box,</li>
<li>Use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to select a rating.&nbsp;</li>
<li>If you want to restrict content that's not rated,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Select the Block unrated movies check box (this is optional).&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click Save.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<img src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> To change the access code <br /><br />On the Windows Media Center start screen, scroll to Tasks,&nbsp;</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Click Settings, click General, click Parental Controls</li>
<li>Type your current access code.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
Click Change Access Code. <br /><br />Type and confirm a new 4-digit access code, and then click OK. <br /><br /><img src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> To reset Parental Controls <br />On the Windows Media Center start screen, scroll to Tasks</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Cick Settings, click General</li>
<li>Click Parental Controls,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Type your current access code.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
Click Reset Parental Controls. <br />Click Yes to remove the access code and disable all restrictions. <br /><b>Important&nbsp;</b><br />Parental Controls aren't available in some countries or regions. <br />Media Center uses the ratings from the TV broadcast signal to determine which shows to block. In rare cases, the Guide rating might not match the rating information received from the TV broadcast signal.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Microsoft Windows New File Systems ReFS for &nbsp;Windows Server 8</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7nOsU7OfvRI/UDdyy7mjVnI/AAAAAAAAABs/HC1e2XBqiAw/s1600/Windows8+new.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="228" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7nOsU7OfvRI/UDdyy7mjVnI/AAAAAAAAABs/HC1e2XBqiAw/s320/Windows8+new.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
ReFS, short for Resilient File System, will initially debut with Windows 8 Server, but is expected to make its way through to Windows 8 client system to support the full feature set of Storage Spaces, which will allow users to create storage pools from multiple physical and virtual storage devices.In Windows 8 there is no way to convert data in place. Data can be copied. This was an intentional design decision given the size of data sets that we see today and how impractical it would be to do this conversion in place, in addition to the likely change in architected approach before and after conversion.Although it is designed to be better in many dimensions, resiliency stands out as one of its most prominent features.&nbsp;<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
According to Microsoft, ReFS will be an always-online file system "for the next decade or more" that is architected for "extreme scale" with large volume, file and directory sizes, as well as data verification and auto-correction via checksums while maintaining compatibility with a "wide subset of widely adopted" NTFS features.In Windows 8 there is no way to convert data in place. Data can be copied. This was an intentional design decision given the size of data sets that we see today and how impractical it would be to do this conversion in place, in addition to the likely change in architected approach before and after conversion.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C-AEeYk2AkE/UDdy8NdZ7WI/AAAAAAAAAB0/pjyAzInEk3E/s1600/Windows-Server-8-Beta.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C-AEeYk2AkE/UDdy8NdZ7WI/AAAAAAAAAB0/pjyAzInEk3E/s400/Windows-Server-8-Beta.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Along with Storage Spaces coming in Windows 8, ReFS forms the foundation of storage on Windows for the next decade or more. Key features of the two when used together include: metadata integrity with checksums; integrity streams providing optional user data integrity; allocate on write transactional model for robust disk updates; large volume, file and directory sizes; storage pooling and virtualization making file system creation and management easy; data striping for performance and redundancy for fault tolerance; disk scrubbing for protection against latent disk errors; resiliency to corruptions with "salvage" for maximum volume availability in all cases; and shared storage pools across machines for additional failure tolerance and load balancing.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
ReFS does not itself offer deduplication. One side effect of its familiar, pluggable, file system architecture is that other deduplication products will be able to plug into ReFS the same way they do with NTFS.</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
ReFS does not explicitly implement a second-level cache, but customers can use third-party solutions for this.ReFS and VSS work together to provide snapshots in a manner consistent with NTFS in Windows environments. For now, they don’t support writable snapshots or snapshots larger than 64TB.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The table below shows the capacity limits of the on-disk format. Other concerns may determine some practical limits, such as the system configuration (for example, the amount of memory), limits set by various system components, as well as time taken to populate data sets, backup times, etc.Microsoft recently announced that they will be introducing a new file system, ReFS, with Windows 8, retaining some elements of NTFS file system while providing new features to improve performance, scalability, and resiliency.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Melio from Sanbolic provides high performance, availability, scalability, and resiliency for Windows deployments, and is available today!Melio file system is designed for large virtual and cloud environments. <b>Automatic Update Software Driver In Windows 7 Automatic Update Driver Tool:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x9mSvmn-OD0/UDduVBBt3AI/AAAAAAAAABc/sYl352mNiv0/s1600/Automatic+Driver+Update.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x9mSvmn-OD0/UDduVBBt3AI/AAAAAAAAABc/sYl352mNiv0/s200/Automatic+Driver+Update.png" width="176" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To manage the update process, Windows Update provides options that give you control over how you are notified about updates, as well as the ability to review and approve updates before they are downloaded or installed. At any time, you can also proactively check for, and install any available updates using the Windows Update control panel. You can scan for updates, review details about each one, access your updating history, and manage your updating preferences.</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A driver is software that allows your computer to communicate with hardware devices.Without drivers, the devices you connect to your computer—for example, a mouse or external hard drive won't work <a name='more'></a>properly. Windows can automatically check if there are drivers available for new devices you connect to your computer.<span style="text-align: justify;">Sometimes windows 7 new device is not install or not working properly.cause of bad cd or need updated driver .then windows 7 will automatically update driver and device is ready to work properly.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When you connect a new device to your computer, Windows automatically tries to install it for you and will notify you if a driver for the device can't be found.&nbsp;Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet and automatic updating is turned on Your computer must be connected to the Internet for Windows to be able to search online for a device driver. To see if your computer is connected to the Internet, open your web browser and try accessing a website. If you're temporarily disconnected, such as when you're traveling with a laptop, wait until you're online again, and then try reinstalling your device.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows can't check for the latest drivers unless automatic updating is turned on. Most people turn on automatic updating the first time they use Windows, but if you're not sure you did, you should check to make sure it's turned on. Be sure to select the option to include recommended updates, or Windows will install important updates only. Important updates provide significant benefits, such as improved security and reliability, but recommended updates might include drivers for some of your devices. For more information, see Turn automatic updating on or off and Automatically get drivers and updates for your devices .&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Manually check for drivers on Windows Update&nbsp;</b></div>
</b><div style="text-align: justify;">
If you didn't have automatic updating turned on, or you weren't connected to the Internet when you connected a new device to your computer, you should check to see if Windows can now find a driver for your device. Even if your computer is always connected to the Internet, you should still check Windows Updates for optional updates if some of your hardware isn't working properly. Optional updates often contain new driver updates. Windows Update does not install optional updates automatically, but it will notify you when it finds some and let you choose whether to install them.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> To check Windows Update for drivers :</b><ul>
<li><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" />Click to open Windows Update.&nbsp;</li>
<li>In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.&nbsp;</li>
<li>If there are any available updates,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click the link in the box under Windows Update to see more information about each update.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Each type of update might include drivers.</li>
<li>On the Select the updates you want to install page,</li>
<li>&nbsp;look for updates for your hardware devices,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Select the check box for each driver that you want to install,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click OK. There might not be any driver updates available.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
On the Windows Update page.&nbsp;<div>
<ul>
<li>Click Install updates .</li>
<li><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Type the password or provide confirmation.</li>
</ul>
<b>Important:</b><br />Windows Update tells you if an update is important, recommended, or optional.&nbsp;Some updates require you to restart your computer. Windows Update will tell you if the updates were successfully installed. <br /><br /><b>Install software for the device </b><br />If Windows Update can't find a driver for your device, try checking the manufacturer's website for a driver or other software for the device. If your device came with a software disc, that disc might contain software needed to make your device work properly, but first check the manufacturer's website for the latest software and drivers. <br />If you don't find any new software or drivers for your device on the manufacturer's website, try inserting the disc that came with the device, and then follow the instructions for installing the software. <br /><b>Remember</b>Many drivers come with software that installs the driver for you (often called a self-installing package), but you might have to install some drivers manually as well.&nbsp;If your device still doesn't work properly after trying these suggestions, a driver might not be available for your device. In this case, try contacting the device manufacturer. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Action Center is a new feature in Windows 7 that provides you with single point of entry to view issues with your Operating System (OS). If your OS has any kind of issue or problem, the Action Center icon in your system tray will display a message. At any point, you can click the Action Center (white flag) icon in your system tray to display any issues or warnings. Windows 7 has some Good Features.And if you have any proble don't worry windows 7 fix your computer problem.If you have internet connection it will automatic fix the problem.Action Center checks several security and maintenance-<br />
<a name='more'></a>related items of your computer that help indicate your computer's overall performance. When the status of a monitored item changes (for example, your antivirus software becomes out of date) Action Center notifies you with a message in the notification area on the taskbar, the status of the item in Action Center changes color to reflect the severity of the message, and an action is recommended.&nbsp;</div>
Windows Action Center helps keep your computer secure by checking the status of firewall settings, automatic updates, virus and spyware protection, Internet security settings, and User Account Control settings. Action Center also monitors maintenance tasks, such as file backup and Windows Update, to keep the computer running smoothly.<br />
<div>
If you're not feeling confident enough to turn everything off,&nbsp;</div>
<div>
<b>To change which items Action Center checks:&nbsp;</b><br />
<div>
<ul>
<li><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" />Click to open Action Center.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click Change Action Center settings.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Select a check box to make Action Center check an item for changes or problems,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Or clear a check box to stop checking the item.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Click OK.&nbsp;</li>
<li>If you don't want to get an annoying pop-up on your desktop for a particular area of security, such as Windows Update, uncheck the relevant box and click OK.&nbsp;
</li>
</ul>
If you prefer to keep track of an item yourself (for example, you use a backup program other than the one included in Windows, or you back up your files manually), and you don't want to see notifications about its status, you can turn off notifications for the item. <br />
When you clear the check box for an item on the Change Action Center settings page, you won’t receive any messages, and you won’t see the item's status in Action Center. We recommend checking the status of all items listed, since many can help warn you about security issues. However, if you decide to turn off messages for an item, you can always turn messages back on. On the Change Action Center settings page, select the check box for the item and then click OK. Or, click the appropriate Turn on messages link next to the item on the main page.<br />
<div>
<br />
<b>Remember That:</b><br />
To change how solutions to problems appear in Action Center,<br />
<div>
Click Change Action Center settings, and then click Problem reporting settings.&nbsp;</div>
<div>
On the Change problem reporting settings page,&nbsp;</div>
<div>
Choose how much information is sent,&nbsp;</div>
<div>
How often to check for new solutions,&nbsp;</div>
<div>
Click OK. </div>
</div>

Would you like to have the latest technology when it comes to smartphones? Windows Phone 7 is turning a lot of heads as its new software has been 2 years in the making and hasn't failed to disappoint.<br /><br />Right now smartphones make up about 23% of the mobile phone market but this is continuing to grow are the costs are starting to drop and more people want to have internet access, email, facebook, and other apps right in their pocket.<br />The new software will make it's debut with AT&amp;T on November 9 and then it will become available for the rest of the wireless provides in 2011. The first phones to have the new technology will run about $200 each and so far there are about 3 phones that will be sold with more expected to come soon as 6 additional phones have already been announced. The phones are designed to offer variety based on the users preferences. Some of the phones will be touchscreen while other smartphones will feature keyboards.<br /><br />Windows Phone 7 is designed to be in competition with every other smartphone out there, notebaly the phones making a big impact like the Blackberry and iPhone. Microsoft has failed to impress mobile users as most of their designs have failed or been pulled off the market. Earlier in 2010 Microsoft sent the Kin to the stores but after dismal sales and embarrassment, it was pulled within a few weeks.<br />Microsoft is recovering from the embarrassment by placing more attention on the Windows Phone 7, which has seen its ups and downs as the iPhone was launched and caused some serious setbacks for Microsoft. The Windows Phone 7 is designed to be user friendly and made to satisfy the user in every possible way, giving the user full control over the look and feel of the phone. It allows for automatic updates to go on without taking away from the users other applications as they are using the phone.<br />The smartphone that will see the biggest competition from the windows Phone 7 is the Andriod. So what can you expect when you get the Windows Phone 7 in your hands? When you first turn it on you will see several icons that you can choose from that include music files, pictures, contacts, etc. Touch on the icon you want or you can choose to scroll from top to bottom to view the different apps that are available.<br />When you click on a program you will be directed to it but a top heading will stay at the top of each screen, telling you where you are at. This sub-menu is really unique and very clever and sure to wow a lot of people.<br />Like the Blackberry and Andriod it will collect the information provided by your friends on social networking sites. This allows you to gather information from facebook and twitter so you can continue fueling your social media addiction. With multitouch web-browsing and a smooth touch-screen, it is very easy to get around online and it was designed for the web.<br /><br />The apps work differently on Windows Phone 7 as they are integrated right into the operating system. This makes it so they aren't like having separate programs as you see with so many other smartphones. The screen is also much larger from other smartphones, making it very easy to read and you do have the option of using a keyboard that locks behind the phone if you aren't a fan of touchscreen.<br /><br />Windows Phone 7 doesn't sport the HotSpot technology like Andriod and other phones on the market but it is very impressive with other programs like Zune along with video content. There is even talk of video games that can be played on the Windows Phone 7 and integrated with your Xbox 360.</div>

<b>Blue Screen Of Death with white text appears after system boot:</b></h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k2t0xqY7tjQ/UDaA3mKhmxI/AAAAAAAAAA4/AA6DYf1NnAc/s1600/blue+screen+of+death.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k2t0xqY7tjQ/UDaA3mKhmxI/AAAAAAAAAA4/AA6DYf1NnAc/s320/blue+screen+of+death.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Blue Screen of Death” typically occurs when Windows encounters a critical problem which it is unable to recover without halting the computer. So it basically posts its diagnostics of the problem in the form of blue screen. Most of the time the diagnostic is pretty technical and it doesn’t make sense to a normal computer user. A technical person can typically analyze the system logs to find out what is causing the problem &amp; if it needs just a software fix or if it is due to a faulty or failing hardware component.&nbsp;If the computer is unable to read properly from the boot device or some recent change in its configuration has caused a driver to <a name='more'></a>become corrupt, then also a blue screen of death can be displayed. Another method to get rid of the blue screen for good is to make a recovery CD of your computer, and then using it to boot up your system and running the repair tool. If the error has appeared because of some serious error in the machine’s registry, then the safest bet for you to avoid losing data is to get professional help in repairing your computer or call the hardware vendor if you have recently installed a component, before you try to boot your system again.</div>
</div>
<span style="text-align: justify;"><ul>
<li>Remove additional memory. If additional memory was installed after purchase, power OFF,</li>
</ul>
</span>&nbsp;remove the additional memory, and power ON to see if the problem is due to incompatible memory. <br /><ul>
<li>Un-install software applications. If you have installed software applications recently, they may not be compatible with your system. Try to un-install them in Windows Safe Mode.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Check your system for viruses.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Update the BIOS to the latest version with Easy Flash in Windows or AFLASH in DOS mode.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
These utilities and BIOS files can be downloaded from the ASUS website. <br /><b>Remember</b>: Ensure your Notebook PC does not lose power during the BIOS flashing process. <br /><ul>
<li>If problem still cannot be solved, use the recovery process to reinstall your entire system.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<b>IMPORTANT!</b> You must backup all your data to another location before recovering. <br /><br /><b>CAUTION! DO NOT</b> connect to the Internet before you have installed an anti-virus software and Internet firewall to protect yourself from viruses. <br />Ensure that you install the “Intel INF Update” and “ATKACPI” drivers first so that hardware devices can be recognized. <br /><ul>
<li>If the problem still exist, contact your local service center and ask an engineer for assistance.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Blue screen of death is a colloquial phrase used by computer technicians to describe what is officially known as a Stop error in computers. A blue screen appears on the monitor with text in white when the system experiences a critical error and needs to shut down to protect damage to the memory. The appearance of a blue screen during a process means that the only solution to the error is to restart the computer; therefore the phrase ‘screen of death’ was coined to denote the finality of the situation.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A BSOD appears usually when a hardware or hardware driver is installed, which causes certain drivers to become incompatible. Trying to install softwares or hardware which is incompatible with your computer’s configuration can also cause the error to appear. If a hardware component has a buggy device driver, if there is a real time conflict between hardware or an installed application tries to divide by zero, you are likely to get this error. Sometimes this screen might also appear after a considerable time since installing something new, which means that a normal driver has become outdated now. The best solution to getting rid of the blue screen is to reinstall the hardware or software properly after booting the system in safe mode.</div>

Bluetooth, while it is certainly not the universal solution to all wireless needs, addresses many of the performance requirements specific to medical applications, and it is a particularly good fit in use models demanding high mobility, long battery life, and no infrastructure support. Bluetooth does more than simply eliminate cables; it provides access to a wide range of standard devices and communications options, including the formation of small networks. Bluetooth enables additional communications links by providing access to wide-area networking through cellular phone data communications as well as traditional Ethernet local-area networks.Bluetooth, the new technology named after the 10th Century Danish King Harold Bluetooth, is a hot topic among wireless developers. This article will provide an introduction to the technology&nbsp;<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bluetooth was designed to allow low bandwidth wireless connections to become so simple to use that they seamlessly integrate into your daily life. A simple example of a Bluetooth application is updating the phone directory of your mobile phone. Today, you would have to either manually enter the names and phone numbers of all your contacts or use a cable or IR link between your phone and your PC and start an application to synchronize the contact information. With Bluetooth, this could all happen automatically and without any user involvement as soon as the phone comes within range of the PC! Of course, you can easily see this expanding to include your calendar, to do list, memos, email, etc. This is just one of many exciting applications for this new technology! Can you imagine walking into a store and having all the sale items automatically available on your cell phone or PDA? It is a definite possibility with Bluetooth.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Bluetooth specification is an open specification that is governed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The Bluetooth SIG is lead by its five founding companies and four new member companies who were added in late 1999. These nine companies form the Promoter Group of the Bluetooth SIG:&nbsp;</div>

<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Features of Bluetooth and its Challenges :&nbsp;</b></div>
</b><ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Features:&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area network (PANs). Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, PCs, printers, digital cameras, and video game consoles over a secure, globally unlicensed short –range radio frequency. Bluetooth is a radio standard and communications protocol primarily designed for low power consumption, with a short range (power class dependent: 1 meter, 10 meters, 100 m) based on low- cost transceiver microchips in each device. Bluetooth lets these devices communicate with each other when they are in range. The devices use a radio communications system, so they do not have to be in line of sight of each other, and can even be in other rooms, as long as the received transmission is powerful enough.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Challenges :</b></li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bluetooth has several positive features and one would be extremely hard pressed to find downside when given the current competition. The only real downsides are the data rate and security. Infrared can have data rates up to 4MBps, which provides very fast rates for data transfer, while Bluetooth only offers 1 MBps.For this very reason, infrared has yet to be dispensed with completely and is considered by many to be the complimentary technology to that of Bluetooth. Infrared has inherent security due to its line of sight. The greater range and radio frequency (RF0 of Bluetooth makes it much more open to interception and attack. For this reason, security is a very key aspect to the Bluetooth specification.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Bluetooth &nbsp;Components :</b></div>
</b><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Any Bluetooth solution consists of four major components_&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ø Antenna/RF&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ø Bluetooth Radio and Baseband&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ø Bluetooth Software Protocol Stack&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ø The Application itself&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Each of these products in itself, and companies exist that have entire business models based around solving only one of these four areas.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
v Antenna/RF:&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The antenna and RF design portion is interesting in that it requires a unique solution for each device. When purchasing a Bluetooth module for Ericsson, for instance, the antenna is not provided. Bluetooth silicon manufacturers cannot effectively provide an antenna with the hardware. Even single chip solutions require specialized antenna design, depending on the device. Antenna design requires specialized skills to ensure that the Bluetooth radio will operate within its specification.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
v Bluetooth Radio and Baseband&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Bluetooth radio is the hardware transceiver unit that implements the Bluetooth&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Radio specification. The purpose of the specification is to provide compatitibility&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
between Bluetooth devices that operate in the 2.4GHz ISM band, and to define the&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
quality of the system.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows 8 is much different from Windows 7. it has the start-bar-and-icon “Desktop” look that Windows users are familiar with, but it also has a new, touchscreen-optimized interface called ‘Metro,’ which looks more like the Windows Phone operating system and which looks like the future of <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/WINDOWS">Microsoft Windows</a> from here on out.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here are some screenshots of the new Windows 8 from Sinofsky and Larson-Green’s presentation, along with explanations of the newest features and interfaces that users can expect on their new tablets and PCs.</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Lock Screen&nbsp;<a name='more'></a></b></li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows 8 lock screen is a new features , which appears after you put your computer to sleep or restart or lock your computer. Notifications such as new email alerts, Wi-Fi availability and other essential, user-chosen information will be pushed to this screen.</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Start Screen&nbsp;</b></li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
start screen in the ‘Metro’ view (the classic start bar “desktop” view is still available). Users can scroll side-to-side, much as they would on an iOS or Android phone, for different groups of applications. Immediately to the right of this homescreen is the media hub (seen above). </div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Grouped Apps&nbsp;</b></li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows 8 Users have the option to categorize their apps into genre or function. Sinofsky and Green showed off a Media category, Games category and social networking category.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Windows 8 is new for everyone and it is difficult to use for someone. windows 8 aded some new features and it is very interesting also.you can sign in pictures password and you can run anything, can check weather report and much more options are here.</div>

<li><b>Credential Management interface</b></li>
<li><b>Tile groupings</b></li>
<li><b>Files Folders Search</b></li>
<li><b>Tiles</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
Here are some features describe to you.<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Lock screen:</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
Launch Windows 8 and you’ll first see the Lock screen, which appears whenever your system boots, resumes or you otherwise need to log on. If you have a touch screen, swipe up to clear it and enter your password; otherwise, drag up with the mouse, use the mouse scroll wheel, or just to tap the spacebar to clear it and move on.<br /><b>Windows 8 tips: mastering Metro</b><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Metro Internet Explorer</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
Click the Internet Explorer Metro pane and a full-screen version of the browser will appear. This is touch-friendly, and has some pluses for mouse users: right-clicking lets you pin a site to your Metro screen, for instance, or open a new browser tab or switch to an old one.But if you prefer the old-style IE interface, that’s available, too – open the desktop and launch it, or just hold down the Windows key and press 1.<br />
<a href="http://www.techfanas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/metro-internet-explorer.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img height="256" src="http://www.techfanas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/metro-internet-explorer.jpg" width="320" /></a><br />
<b>See more apps</b><br />
Metro apps normally run full-screen, but if you’re using a touch interface it’s possible to view two at once: just swipe from the left, drop the thumbnail onto the screen, and one app will display as a sidebar while the other takes the rest. (You can swap these by swiping again, but it’s not possible to have each app take half the screen.)<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Closing time</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
Metro apps don’t have a “Close” button, and this is intentional: apps are suspended when you switch to something else, and are automatically closed anyway if you need the resources.<br />If you’d like to keep your system clean, though, you can always close them manually. Press Ctrl+Alt+Esc to launch Task Manager, right-click the surplus application and select End Task.<br /><br />
<ul>
<li><b>How to shut down</b></li>
</ul>
To shut down your system from Metro, call up the Settings dialog (move the mouse cursor to the bottom-left corner of the screen and click Settings, or just hold down the Windows key and press I), click the Power icon, then Shut Down.<br /><br />Or, in the desktop, you can still press Alt+F4, and choose the Shut Down, Restart, Switch User or Log Off option.<br /><b>The Metro home screen</b><br />
<br />
Once you’ve logged on then the new Metro start screen will appear, packed with tiled apps. So packed you’ll probably need to scroll horizontally to see them all (scrolling the mouse wheel, if you have one, will do this for you).<br />
You don’t have to put up with this arrangement, though. Click on individual apps to see what they do; press the Windows key at any time to return to the Metro screen; right-click (or swipe down on) apps you don’t need and select Unpin to remove them; and drag and drop the other tiles around to organise them as you like.<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>Simplified Start menu</b><br />
Metro has its own Start menu containing just a few simple options; Settings, Devices, Share and Search. Swipe from the right side of a touch screen, or move the mouse cursor to the bottom left of the screen to view and explore this.<br />
<b>Run anything</b><br />
To run another app, just press the Windows key and start typing its name. The search window will appear (you can also launch this by press Win+F) with any hits, and clicking one will launch it.<br />
<br />
Alternatively, hold down the Windows key and press R to open the old Run box, enter notepad.exe (or whatever) and launch it just as before.<br />
<b>Task switching</b><br />
<br />
The Metro screen doesn’t have a taskbar, so you’ll soon lose track of the apps you’ve run. To see what’s running, though, just press Alt+Tab. Pressing Win+Tab will switch from one running app to the next, and on a touch screen, swiping repeatedly from the left also cycles through running apps.<br />
<br />
You could also simply launch an app again and, if there’s another copy running, that one will be displayed.<br />
If you have a keyboard, repeatedly pressing the Windows key will always toggle you between the Metro screen and the last app.<br />
And if you have a mouse, move its cursor to the far left of the screen (roughly in the centre, vertically) and a thumbnail of the last app you used should appear. Click this to relaunch it.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.techfanas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/task-switching.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="http://www.techfanas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/task-switching.jpg" /></a><br />
<b>Check the Weather</b><br />
<br />
Many of the bundled Metro apps can be reconfigured, and this usually starts with a right-click.<br />
By default the weather app will show the current conditions in Anaheim, California, for instance, but if you’d prefer to view conditions in your local city then click Weather to launch the app, right-click and select Add City, type the name of your nearest city, and choose it from the list, when it appears.<br />
<a href="http://www.techfanas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/check-the-weathet.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img src="http://www.techfanas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/check-the-weathet.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Spell check</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
Metro apps all have spellcheck where relevant, which looks and works much as it does in Microsoft Office. Make a mistake and a wavy red line will appear below the offending word; tap or right-click this to see suggested alternative words, or add the word to your own dictionary if you prefer.<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Run as Administrator</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
Some programs need you to run them with Administrator rights before they’ll work properly. The old context menu isn’t available for a pinned Metro app, but there’s something similar not far away: just right-click one of your pinned apps, click Advanced, and if it’s appropriate for this app, you’ll see a Run As Administrator option.<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Hibernate or Sleep</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
By default Hibernate or Sleep won’t appear in the Windows 8 shutdown dialogs, however you may be able to restore them.Launch the Power Options applet (powercfg.cpl) and click “Choose what the power buttons do” in the left-hand pane.<br />
<br />
If you see a “Change settings that are current unavailable” link, then click it, check the Sleep and Hibernate options, click Save Changes, and the new options should now appear in your shutdown dialogs.</div>

Protect Your Computer files Using BitLocker in windows 7 or windows 8:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
Windows 7 And Windows 8 Add Some New features and it is very useful and very easy to use also.you can protect your files folders,pictures and everything on your computer using BitLocker .You can use BitLocker Drive Encryption to help protect all files stored on the drive Windows is installed on (operating system drive) and on fixed data drives (such as internal hard drives). Your can use BitLocker To Go to help protect all files stored on removable data drives (such as external hard drives or USB flash drives).<br />
Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption is a new security <br />
<a name='more'></a>feature that provides better data protection for your computer, by encrypting all data stored on the Windows operating system volume. (In this version of Windows, a volume consists of one or more partitions on one or more hard disks. BitLocker works with simple volumes, where one volume is one partition. A volume usually has a drive letter assigned, such as "C.")BitLocker allows you to encrypt a USB drive and restrict access with a password. When you connect the USB drive to a Windows 8 computer, you are prompted for the password and upon entering it you can read and write to the drive as you normally would. Without entering correct password you can’t read or write data from USB drive.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you encrypt the operating system drive, BitLocker checks the computer during startup for any conditions that could represent a security risk (for example, a change to the BIOS or changes to any startup files). If a potential security risk is detected, BitLocker will lock the operating system drive and require a special BitLocker recovery key to unlock it. Make sure that you create this recovery key when you turn on BitLocker for the first time; otherwise, you could permanently lose access to your files. If your computer has the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip, BitLocker uses it to seal the keys that are used to unlock the encrypted operating system drive. When you start your computer, BitLocker asks the TPM for the keys to the drive and unlocks it.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<ul>
<li>How To secure your USB drive using BitLocker?</li>
<li>How to enable BitLocker?</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Setting up BitLocker on a USB drive is a simple procedure.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<ul>
<li>Once you insert a USB drive,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Right-click on it and select the Enable BitLocker command from the menu.</li>
<li>After clicking Enable Bitlocker, BitLocker will begin initializing your USB drive.</li>
<li>Once the initialization process is complete,&nbsp;</li>
<li>BitLocker will prompt you to set up a password that you will use to unlock the drive.&nbsp;</li>
<li>If you have a smart card, you can use its PIN to unlock the drive.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Here I have selected Password to protect USB instead of smart card.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After you set up a password or use a smart card, BitLocker will prompt you to store a recovery key. You can use the recovery key to unlock your drive in the event that you forget the password or lose your smart card.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When you create the password and save your recovery key, you’ll be prompted to begin the encryption process. Till now the above procedure is same for windows 7 as well. But in Windows 8 developer preview Microsoft enhance this mechanism. BitLocker will prompt you to select the method for encryption i.e. Encrypt used space only( Best for new PCs and drives) or Encrypt entire drive( Best for PCs and drives already in use)Bitlocker confirms that you want to encrypt the data. to begin encryption click on the button start encryption.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
During the Encryption process you will see a progress bar. The time taken in Encryption is depend on the size of the disk. There is a Pause button that will allow you to temporarily halt the process should you need to perform another task. Once the encryption is complete, BitLocker displays a confirmation dialog box and changes the icon associated with the encrypted drive.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now your USB drive is password protected and any unauthorized user can’t access your USB without knowing your password. When you later insert the BitLocker encrypted drive in the Windows 8 or Windows 7 system, you will immediately be prompted to enter the password. After Clicking More Options, you can select the Automatically Unlock on This Computer from Now On check box to store the password in Windows 8’s password cache. In case you forget your password you can enter the recovery key to access your data.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Once you click Unlock, you’ll see an AutoPlay dialog box that prompts you to view the files or use ReadyBoost. When you click the Open Folder to View Files button, you will be able to access the drive and its contents as you normally would.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In case you insert the BitLocker To Go encrypted drive in a Windows XP or Vista system, you will see an AutoPlay dialog box that prompts you to install the BitLocker To Go Reader. When you click this button, it will take just a moment to install and run the Reader. You’ll then see the BitLocker To Go Reader dialog box, which will prompt you to enter your password.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you encrypt data drives (fixed or removable), you can unlock an encrypted drive with a password or a smart card, or set the drive to automatically unlock when you log on to the computer.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can turn off BitLocker at any time, either temporarily by suspending it, or permanently by decrypting the drive.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Unlike Encrypting File System (EFS), which enables you to encrypt individual files, BitLocker encrypts the entire drive. You can log on and work with your files normally, but BitLocker can help block hackers from accessing the system files they rely on to discover your password, or from accessing your drive by removing it from your computer and installing it in a different computer.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When you add new files to a drive that is encrypted with BitLocker, BitLocker encrypts them automatically. Files remain encrypted only while they are stored in the encrypted drive. Files copied to another drive or computer are decrypted. If you share files with other users, such as through a network, these files are encrypted while stored on the encrypted drive, but they can be accessed normally by authorized users.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you encrypt data drives (fixed or removable), you can unlock an encrypted drive with a password or a smart card, or set the drive to automatically unlock when you log on to the computer.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can turn off BitLocker at any time, either temporarily by suspending it, or permanently by decrypting the drive.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you are still using Windows XP and want to switch directly to Windows 7,To upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7, you'll need to select the Custom option during windows 7 installation. A custom installation doesn't preserve your programs, files, or settings. It's sometimes called a "clean" installation for that reason.A custom installation is more complex, and it can sometimes take a couple of hours to complete. We created this five-step tutorial to help guide you through the entire process each step of the way. you might get disheartened knowing that there is no direct path to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7. However, with a bit of planning and with appropriate tools, you can move from XP to Windows 7 with minimal of fuss. If that is what you are looking for, this is the guide for you. Let’s set the ball rolling straight away.<br />First off, you would want to make sure your existing hardware can support Windows 7. Windows XP has been out for a long time and your hardware might not support the newer and comparatively more demanding versions of Windows like Windows 7.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><b>What you need</b></b><br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<b>
</b>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
An external hard disk. You'll need to move your files off of your PC before you install Windows 7. To make this easier, we recommend a free download called Windows Easy Transfer, which will require an external hard disk. They're readily available at electronics and office supply stores, and they provide an easy way to add additional storage space to your computer.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The original installation discs or setup files for the programs that you want to use withWindows 7. You'll need to reinstall your programs by hand after installing Windows 7. When you runWindows Easy Transfer you will get a report that lists the programs that you are currently using withWindows XP.</div>
<div>
<br />
<b>32-bit or 64-bit: Which version of Windows 7 to install?</b><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Both 32-bit and 64-bit installation discs are included in the Windows 7 package. 64-bit operating systems can handle large amounts of memory—typically 4 gigabytes (GB) of random access memory (RAM) or more—more efficiently than 32-bit operating systems. However, not all computers are 64-bit capable.</div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<div>
<b>These are the official system requirementsOf Windows 7:</b></div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">1 GHz processor (32- or 64-bit)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">1 GB of RAM (32-bit); 2 GB of RAM (64-bit)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">16 GB of available disk space (32-bit); 20 GB of available disk space (64-bit)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can use the Windows 7 Upgrade advisor to see if your computer will run Windows 7. Once you are sure that you are good to go, hop up to the next step.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When you upgrade to Windows 7, you keep your files, settings, and programs from your current version of Windows.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you use a fingerprint reader or other biometric device to log on to your computer, make sure you write down your password before upgrading. You must log on by typing your user name and password the first time that you use Windows after upgrading.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Turn on your computer so that Windows starts normally. (To perform an upgrade, you cannot start, or “boot,” your computer from the Windows 7 upgrade disc. )&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Insert the Windows installation disc into your computer's DVD or CD drive.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">On the Install Windows page, click Install now.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">On the Get important updates for installation page,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Microsoft &nbsp;recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;For That &nbsp;need an Internet connection to get installation updates.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Which type of installation do you want? page, click Upgrade to begin the upgrade. You might see a compatibility report.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" />Which type of installation do you want? page&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Follow the instructions.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> To install Windows by performing a custom installation&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">When you choose Custom, you install a new copy of Windows on the partition you select.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">This erases your programs and settings.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Back up any files and settings you want to keep so that you can restore them after the installation.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You must manually reinstall your programs when the installation is done.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;For information about how to restore your files after a clean installation.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Turn on your computer,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Insert the Windows installation disc into the computer's DVD or CD drive,</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now do one of the following:&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If your computer already has an operating system installed and you want to replace it with Windows 7, and you don't want to change any partitions,</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If your computer doesn't have an operating system installed or if you want to create, extend, delete, or format partitions,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You need to restart your computer with the installation disc inserted in your CD or DVD drive.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;This causes your computer to start (or "boot") from the installation CD or DVD.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;If you are asked to press a key to boot from DVD or CD, press any key.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;If the Install Windows page appears,</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If the Install Windows page doesn't appear and you're not asked to press a key to start from DVD or CD, you might have to specify that your computer use its DVD or CD drive as the startup device.</div>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;To do this, &nbsp;need to change settings in the computer's basic input/output system (BIOS).</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;After you select your DVD or CD drive as the startup device,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Restart your computer, and then start Windows from the installation DVD or CD as previously described.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Install Windows page, follow any instructions that are displayed, and then click Install now.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Get important updates for installation page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You need an Internet connection to get installation updates.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Which type of installation do you want? page, click Custom.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Where do you want to install Windows? page,&nbsp;</div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
do one of the following:&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If you don't want to specify a specific partition to install Windows on,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Or create partitions on your hard disk, click Next to begin the installation.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If you already have another existing partition with enough free space and want to have more than one operating system on the same computer,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You can install Windows on that partition.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">This is called a dual-boot or multiboot configuration. (If you do this, be sure to install Windows on a different partition from the partition where your current version of Windows is installed.)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Select the partition you want to use,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Click Next to begin the installation.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you want to create, extend, delete, or format a partition, click Drive options (advanced), click the option you want, and then follow the instructions. Click Next to begin the installation. (If the Drive options (advanced) option is disabled, you need to start your computer using the installation disc.)&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Follow the instructions.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If you delete or format a partition that contains a version of Windows,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">All data on the partition is permanently deleted. However,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If there is an existing copy of Windows on the partition you selected,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If do not format or delete the partition, user files are saved to a Windows.old folder on the partition,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;which you can browse to after the installation completes.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">However, you should still back up your user files before performing a custom installation.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;If you’ve backed up your user files and then restored them after installing Windows, you can delete the Windows.old folder.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<b></b><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><b><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> To reinstall Windows 7&nbsp;</b></b></div>
<b>
</b>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you want to reinstall Windows 7 by performing a custom installation—possibly to restore the default Windows settings—here's how to do it.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If Windows is able to run, you can reinstall Windows using Recovery in Control Panel, under Advanced recovery methods.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">This method reinstalls Windows, either from a recovery image provided by your computer manufacturer, or from the original Windows installation files.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;You need to reinstall all of the programs that you added, and restore all of your files from a backup.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If Windows cannot run at all, you can reinstall Windows using the original installation disc.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Back up your files before you begin reinstalling Windows if possible, even if you're reinstalling Windows on a hard disk partition, and you have personal files on a separate partition. &nbsp;A custom installation replaces the current version of Windows and all personal files.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Turn on your computer and insert the Windows 7 DVD or CD.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">On the Install Windows page, follow any instructions that might appear,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Then click Install now.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Get important updates for installation page, Microsoft &nbsp;recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You need an Internet connection to get installation updates.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Follow the instructions on each page. On the Which type of installation do you want? page, click Custom.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the Where do you want to install Windows? page, select the partition where you want to install Windows.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Click Next to begin the installation.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Follow the instructions.</div>
</div>

<b><span style="color: red;">system recovery options in Windows 7 How To Use And What Is This Options:</span><br /> </b><br />The System Recovery Options menu is on the Windows 7 installation disc. If your computer manufacturer (OEM) has preinstalled recovery options, the menu might also be installed on your hard disk as a recovery partition. If your computer does not include the System Recovery Options menu, your computer manufacturer (OEM) might have customized or replaced the tool.The System Recovery Options menu contains several tools, such as Startup Repair, that can help you recover Windows from a serious error. This set of tools is on your computer's hard disk and on the Windows installation disc.The System Recovery Options menu is a group of Windows repair, restore, and diagnostic tools.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />System Recovery Options is also referred to as Windows Recovery Environment, or WinRE for short.<br />The tools available on the System Recovery Options menu can be used to repair Windows files, restore important settings to previous values, test your computer's memory, and much more.<br /><br /><b>How To Access the System Recovery Options Menu:</b><br />The System Recovery Options menu can be accessed three different ways:<br /> <br />The easiest way to access System Recovery Options is via the Repair Your Computer option on theAdvanced Boot Options menu.If for some reason you can't access the Advanced Boot Options menu, or the Repair Your Computeroption isn't available (as in some Windows Vista installations), you can also access System Recovery Options from a Windows Setup disc.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Finally, if neither above method works, you can create a system repair disc on a friend's computer and then start System Recovery Options using that system repair disc on yourcomputer. Unfortunately, this only works if both computers are running Windows 7.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To open the System Recovery Options menu on your computer</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer using the computer's power button.</div>
<b></b><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><b>Do one of the following:</b></b></div>
<b>
</b>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If your computer has a single operating system installed,&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears,</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Shutting down and restarting your computer.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If your computer has more than one operating system,&nbsp;</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to repair,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">And then press and hold F8.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">On the Advanced Boot Options screen,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer,&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">And then press Enter. (If Repair your computer isn't listed as an option, then your computer doesn't include preinstalled recovery options, or your network administrator has turned them off.)</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /> To open the System Recovery Options menu using a system repair disc or a Windows 7 installation disc</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If your computer's system is severely damaged and you cannot access the System Recovery Options menu on your computer, you can access it using the Windows 7 installation disc or a system repair disc you created earlier.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To do &nbsp;follw this Steps:</div>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Restart (boot) your computer using the disc.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Insert the disc.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Restart your computer using the computer's power button.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If your computer isn't configured to start from a CD or DVD, check the information that came with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.&nbsp;</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Choose your language settings, and then click Next.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">If you are using the Windows installation disc, click Repair your computer.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">On the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can also create a system repair disc that contains the System Recovery Options menu.</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" />The System Recovery Options menu&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">System recovery option&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Description&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Startup Repair&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Fixes certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files, that might prevent Windows from starting correctly.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
System Restore&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Restores your computer's system files to an earlier point in time without affecting your files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you use System Restore from the System Recovery Options menu, you cannot undo the restore operation. However, you can run System Restore again and choose a different restore point, if one exists.&nbsp;</div>
</div>
<div>
<b></b><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><b>System Image Recovery :</b></b></div>
<b>
</b>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You need to have created a system image beforehand to use this option. A system image is a personalized backup of the partition that contains Windows, and includes programs and user data, like documents, pictures, and music.</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Scans your computer's memory for errors.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Command Prompt&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Advanced users can use Command Prompt to perform recovery-related operations and also run other command line tools for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Important Note:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Some computer manufacturers might customize the menu by adding or removing recovery tools, or including their own tools. <img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /><img border="0" src="file:///C:/Users/Asus/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif" /></div>
