839.
The women-focused ranking was created by giving each country an equally weighted score across nine attributes. As expected, Scandinavian countries dominated the list. Remarkably, some of the worst countries for women are making progress, while some of the best are lagging behind in key areas. Researchers at CEOWORLD magazine determined nine factors to determine the ranking: gender equality, proportion of seats held by women, sense of security for women over 15 walking alone at night, income equality, and social consideration. We analyzed and compared 150 countries on key attributes. Human rights, women’s empowerment, average years of education for women, women over 25 in paid work, and women’s social participation. These attributes are combined into a common scale to produce an overall ranking.

 840.
Each indicator was given equal weight within each of the nine categories. To be on this year’s list, countries must not only rank among the top 190 countries in the world on the United Nations Human Development Index, but also among the top 190 countries in terms of GDP, foreign direct investment inflows, and international tourism receipts. there were. According to World Bank data. Countries that did not meet these four criteria or did not report this data were excluded.

 841.
CEOWORLD magazine has assembled a panel of experts who examine carefully selected data points from sources including the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), World Economic Forum, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), US News & World Report, and the Index of Economic Freedom. Did. , the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and the World Bank. Based on consensus from these sources, the final selection of countries and position on the list was determined editorially. Some countries and regions were not included in official statistics for various reasons, mainly due to lack of necessary data. Countries and regions with low initial scores were also excluded from the list, as comparisons could yield misleading results. All data is for the most recent period available.

 842.
CEOWORLD magazine sent out a survey to participants who would be “broadly representative of the world’s population.” Participants came from 190 countries in the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

 843.
With a sample size of 250,000 respondents, the survey has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 1.2 percentage points. When interpreting the results, it is important to recognize that there may be other sources of error that can affect the results, such as coverage, nonresponse, and measurement error. Each country is assigned a decimal rank for each indicator’s score compared to all countries for which data is available, with 100 being the highest rank and 1 being the lowest rank.

 1692.
Bill Alameda, production manager at Washington-based Astra Manufacturing Co., spent much of a Saturday afternoon standing next to his company’s espresso maker, scouting other companies’ products and discovering their innovations. 1756.
Tottenham Hotspur had no way of stopping Alexander Isak. Mickey van de Ven certainly wasn’t. The Dutch centre-back was embarrassed by the Magpies’ emphatic 4-0 win as the Newcastle United striker twisted his opponent and scored twice. This was a look back at Newcastle’s play last season.

 1757.
The 2023/24 campaign has been a challenging one for the St James Park side. Newcastle were eliminated from the Champions League at the exit stage and failed to make it past the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.at the premiere<fbs-ticker data-name="PINC" data-href="https://www.forbes.com/companies/premier" data-type="stock">
1759. </fbs-ticker> In the league, Eddie Howe’s side are nowhere near the top four they finished last season.

 1760.
Still, Isaac Newcastle boasts one of the best young centre-forwards in European football. He has the talent to turn around the Magpies’ fortunes between now and the end of May. Isak’s performance in Saturday’s win over Tottenham proved he can be a top-class striker.

 1765.
“For me, he’s a lot of fun to work with. There’s a lot of aspects to his game that we can explore and improve on,” Howe said. “First and foremost, he has the undeniable quality of wanting to score, needing to score. That’s a great trait for any striker. But he also plays for the team, he plays for himself. It’s rare that he doesn’t. You see him connecting plays and doing not only what he needs to do, but what the team needs.”

 1766.
Signed from Real Sociedad in August 2022 for £60m, Isak embodies the transfer strategy that has propelled Newcastle United up the Premier League table over the past two seasons. His potential was clear in La Liga, but the Magpies gave him the platform to reach the next level of development. Newcastle did the same with Sven Botman, Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimarães.

 1770.
Newcastle United are at a crossroads this summer. Sporting director Dan Ashworth has been put on gardening duty and wants to leave for Manchester United. Howe, meanwhile, has some doubts after a difficult season and Newcastle are likely to finish outside of the European qualification spots.

 1771.
Newcastle’s owners may feel a change of direction is needed, but the club would be foolish to deviate from the strategy that led to signing Isak. He is the magpies’ guiding light. He’s the kind of player Newcastle need to find more of, but that could be difficult. Isaac could become one of the best players in the world.

 1791.
</fbs-accordion>Photo illustration: Brad Jaffe

 1792.
The London Spirits Competition recently published its annual results on the best booze to buy across all major categories. The competition, now in its seventh year, evaluates participants based on quality, value, and value. and exterior. According to the company’s website, the company selects and spotlights “brands that consumers really want to buy and that have clear market value for buyers,” a hallmark of the competitive industrial complex. It is said to be a clear departure from the crowded situation.

 1793.
Considering this rubric, it’s nothing short of amazing that LSC’s professional taste experts chose a $250 bottle as the best tequila on show in that particular category. This is the suggested retail price for the Grand Prize winning Reserve Collection Añejo by Cielto.the fact that it constitutes value, the fact that you can find so much great anejo for a fifth of the price speaks volumes about how sensational the judges found it. So let’s pour a little from that gorgeous faceted decanter and see what makes the actual liquid inside so special.

 1794.
To summarize, Añejo Tequila must spend 1-3 years in barrels before being bottled. The overwhelming majority of wines on shelves today are aged in former bourbon barrels. Sielto instead opted to age it in French Limousin oak for 18 months. It’s an expensive container by comparison, but you pay for the added complexity of the final product. Instead of the usual one-dimensional caramel notes, this is a sophisticated composition with hints of toffee, toasted wood spice, and hazelnut.

 1795.
This release has won numerous awards over the past few years in contests from San Diego to continental Europe. Overall, the judges noted the impressive placement of warming aromatics that help emphasize the delicate elements on the palate. It remains familiar, yet complex. It’s a difficult balancing act to pull off.

 1796.
<fbs-ad position="inread" progressive="" ad-id="article-0-inread" aria-hidden="true" role="presentation"/>

 1797.
According to its website, Cielto is the most awarded tequila on the planet. Given the sheer volume of recent awards, it would be virtually impossible to substantiate such a claim. But what? we What we can say for sure is that this liquid comes from NOM 1146, a well-respected tequila operation in the lowlands of Jalisco. Spirits from this particular appellation tend to have more herbal and peppery aromas than spirits from the highlands, which are mineral, fruity and floral.

 1798.
And this may be the real secret sauce of this famous expression. The grassy elements of the underlying spirit are expertly expressed in the hands of a skilled tequillero, finding the ideal complement in the rich raw material of French barrels. It is difficult to determine where the distillate influence ends and the barrel increase begins.

 1799.
The snug fit of these gloves gives off an unmistakable sense of elegance. At least if you ask the judges at the London Spirits Competition, even $250 per bottle would be considered good value. There’s still plenty to say about other spirits, across a total of 29 different categories. You can see the complete list here.

 1823.
The results of the 2024 London Spirits Competition have been announced, and they contain some major surprises. One of Europe’s most prestigious tasting events, his annual judging brings together 40 of his distinguished palates from all sectors of the alcohol industry. Across a total of 29 different categories, what they certify as the best of the best can provide a huge boost for brands, especially emerging craft suppliers.

 1824.
Today we’re taking a closer look at what they named the Best Straight Bourbon of the Year: Charles Goodnight Bourbon, produced by Foley Family Wines.

 1825.
If you were expecting something from Kentucky, it’s understandable. After all, the Bluegrass State do It accounts for almost 95% of total bourbon production. But hold on to your cowboy hats, folks. Because this one comes from the heart of Texas.A private distillery (or distillery) Charles Goodnight is a high rye expression, aged for six years and bottled at a flavorful 115 proof.

 1826.
It’s an unapologetically aggressive pour, but with that heat comes great flavor. namely dark roast coffee, s’mores, and molasses. There’s also a complex finish to ponder, a long adventure in which the aforementioned sweet elements are resolved with oak spice.

 1827.
<fbs-ad position="inread" progressive="" ad-id="article-0-inread" aria-hidden="true" role="presentation"/>

 1828.
Apparently, the London judges were fascinated by this complexity. And you’ve probably even added a drop or two of room temperature water to your glass to accentuate everything. In my experience, this is the drum that benefits from such manipulation.

 1829.

<fbs-accordion class="expandable" current="-1">

 1832.
The London Spirits honor marks another major victory for brand founder Bill Foley. He named the whiskey after his great-uncle, a prominent 19th century Texas rancher. He also happens to be the owner of his NHL team, the Vegas Golden Knights, who won the Stanley Cup last June, just six years after breaking into the league.

 1833.
Foley owns award-winning wineries in Oregon, California and Martinborough, New Zealand. And not far from the wine region, the famous Kiwi also runs a country estate, Wharekauhau, famous for Relais & Chateaux Lodge. Therefore, he is used to receiving praise for his achievements. In fact, in his next project he will probably want to build a bigger trophy room.

 1834.
But he’s not the only big winner here. This marks another notable moment in Texas whiskey’s meteoric rise. This subcategory, which was virtually non-existent 15 years ago, has risen through the ranks and established itself as one of the most admired producing regions in the United States. This liquid has gained fans with a flavor profile as big and bold as its state representative. So pay attention to your space. And keep an eye out for my column in the coming days about more big winners of the 2024 London Spirits Competition.

 2056.
The best 360 degree cameras help you capture unique shots that are not possible with other cameras, including mobile phones. And now, some Insta360 leaks (and an official announcement event) suggest that our favorite all-rounder’s 8K successor could be coming soon. , Insta360 One X3.

 2057.
Insta360 announced on its blog that it will hold an event in New York City on April 16th at 9am ET (2pm ET/11pm AEST). The tagline for the event is “The 8K era has arrived – our next camera.” You can watch the trailer below.

 2059.
The announcement doesn’t give us much else, but there are always some new leaks from reliable sources. @Quadro_News on X (formerly Twitter) has filled some of the gaps. The images suggest that the Insta360 One X4 is coming with a slightly larger design and some useful spec upgrades.

 2060.
According to @Quadro_News, the One X4 will be able to shoot 360-degree videos at 8K/30p or 5.7K/60p resolution. This is a very useful upgrade on the One X3, whose highest resolution was his 5.7K/30p, as it gives you more resolution to give the best parts of the frame more punch.

 2067.
If the leaks are accurate, the One X4 may pack a larger battery (1,800mAh to 2,290mAh) and retain a convenient tripod mount on the bottom of the camera. Another detail from the leak is that the One X4 will likely cost around $530 (approximately £425 / AU$820), similar to its predecessor.

 2068.
The One X3 launched in September 2022 for $449/£459/AU$799, but it’s now available for much less. If the Insta360 One X3 continues to be available at lower prices, the question for many will be whether the current model offers better value than its successor. That will definitely be answered once the One X4 actually goes on sale. Several days.

 2069.
Should I wait for the GoPro Max 2?

 2070.
The Insta360 has been the dominant 360 camera for the past few years, but last year GoPro announced that the GoPro Max 2 (at least the successor to the Max) was finally “in development.” It’s been a tumbleweed since then, so it remains to be seen when GoPro’s One X3 (or rumored X4) rival will arrive.

 2081.
Insta360 has steadily improved its 360-degree camera and software since the original One arrived in 2017, so that could be an advantage. One of the disadvantages of cropping footage from a 360-degree camera is the loss of image quality, so the One X4’s rumored 8K resolution will also be a big advantage.

 2082.
However, while Insta360’s Studio desktop and mobile software has improved significantly and now offers a very user-friendly experience, editing 360-degree videos can still be time-consuming. The advantage of 360-degree cameras is that you can capture everything around you so you don’t miss any of the action, but the flip side of that is that you need to point the camera at the highlights in post-production.

 2083.
It’s not yet clear if GoPro has made any progress toward fixing this issue with the Max 2 (if it’s called that), but part of a 2022 GoPro patent application states that it analyzes scenes and “displays” them accordingly. window” and the final framing of the video.

 2084.
No real conclusions can be drawn from the patent filing, but considering it’s been almost five years since the original Max, it’s interesting to see what kind of 360 camera innovation GoPro can come up with. would certainly be interesting. As it stands, Insta360 remains the king of his 360-degree cameras, and the rumored One X4 is an exciting new option, so we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on his Insta360 launch on April 16th.
