In fact, while he spoke of many &#8216;out of this world&#8217; topics, he didn&#8217;t have photos, videos, or any other hard evidence to support the claims.</p>

  236. <p>It&#8217;s also worth noting that Maj. Grusch didn&#8217;t actually see any of the things he testified to; his claims were limited to interviews he allegedly had with real witnesses.</p>

  240. <p>Now, there was also a classified meeting to which some of these things may have been addressed, but we don&#8217;t know and can&#8217;t speculate with any confidence as to what was said or shown behind a closed-door session.</p>

Throughout history, countless brave individuals from various branches of the military have risked their careers and reputations to shed light on their extraordinary encounters with unidentified flying objects. However, amidst this well-known narrative, there are some striking and noteworthy distinctions that set this account apart, making it more compelling and thought-provoking.</p>

  262. <p>First of all, the fact that this happened in a House Oversight subcommittee tells me there&#8217;s gotta be some element of truth to this&#8230; unless of course, it&#8217;s a complex misinformation campaign and we&#8217;re expected to get hooked on the story. But in general, crazy people don&#8217;t just get an entire afternoon to take up the time of a congressional house unless there&#8217;s something tangible to the matter. There isn&#8217;t any evidence of that either way, so I&#8217;m going to go with my gut that Maj. Grusch really did find people who told him some pretty fantastic stories. The legitimacy of those stories is up in the air because until we know <em>who</em>&nbsp;he talked to, we cannot automatically assume they&#8217;re as credible as he is.</p>

  266. <p>In addition to that, I found his hesitance to use the term &#8220;alien&#8221; or &#8220;extraterrestrial&#8221; to be telling in the idea that he&#8217;s really trying to not make assumptions about things he doesn&#8217;t know with a 100% certainty. That in and of itself, is a mark of a credible witness.</p>

  270. <p>Finally, like most highly credible personalities, Maj. Grusch really stand nothing to gain by making up such a story. In fact, he stands much more to lose and it seems that his whistleblowing might actually be a bid to protect himself from harm. A similar claim was made by Robert Lazar, that the reason he went public was because he thought the government would kill him, and going public might offer up some protection.</p>

  278. <p>I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;ve heard the last of David Grusch, in fact I hope we hear quite a bit more in the coming months &amp; years. That being said, I&#8217;m very cautious about the fact that all of his statements about what the U.S. is doing and what they&#8217;ve found were second-hand. It could be as simple as a bunch of people playing a joke on him and telling him outlandish stories to see how far it will go. Or&#8230; it could be that all the claims are true and the United States has been involved in studying non-human technology and even working with non-human entities.</p>

When the military shoots down unknown objects over US Airspace, it&#8217;s because a threat to National Security has been determined. That threat cannot be assessed if you have no clue what the objects are.</p>

I also don&#8217;t believe that we have the technology to shoot down alien spacecraft &#8211; given how advanced they&#8217;d have to be in order to get here over such vast distances, there&#8217;s no reason to think we have any weapons fast enough to take one down.</p>

  493. <p>AOIMSG is the acronym for the new group charged with researching UFOs, the <strong>Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group</strong>. This group was spun up in 2017 and its job is to determine if unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) are a threat and whether or not they are a representation of adversarial technology from the likes of Russia or <a href="https://alienufoblog.com/no-china-did-not-admit-that-aliens-are-real/">China</a> which would be currently unknown to the US.</p>

  505. <p>So, according to the US Congress, the point of the hearing is to remove some of the mystique behind the group. However, since the entire hearing was also followed up by an additional closed-door hearing that was classified, there&#8217;s no real way for the average person to know what&#8217;s really going on.</p>

After all, if it turned out some UAPs were adversarial nation states testing unknown aircraft over US air space, this would be of obvious concern and probably discussed better behind closed doors. Even if we did, we don&#8217;t know the capabilities of the technology involved. It could be the equivalent of the invention of nuclear weapons, but we don&#8217;t know that either.</p>

We know there is a large number of incidents with no obvious physical explanation. They are unexplained.   1004. <p>I don&#8217;t have a lot of ideas for this one. The shape doesn&#8217;t match any typical aircraft, but bright lights can mask an object&#8217;s true shape. My first thought was that this could be a high-flying airplane that&#8217;s being illuminated from beneath by the sun which was already set beyond view at ground-level. But when I got more information towards the time of day and direction the image was shot from, that explanation simply didn&#8217;t make sense.</p>

  1016. <p>While I had originally had this one filed away as unexplained, I recently found that others have investigated this sighting. <a href="https://www.metabunk.org/members/mick-west.1/" data-schema-attribute="mentions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mick West</a> of <a href="https://www.metabunk.org/threads/explained-homesteadhow-ufo-photos-helicopter.11854/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Metabunk.org</a> looked into this one and discovered it was likely a helicopter &#8211; specifically, a med flight helicopter. Given that it was a night-shot, the camera&#8217;s long exposure is why it looks like such an out of this world shape.</p>

So it&#8217;s pretty safe to say this one is just a helicopter that was misidentified. It doesn&#8217;t seem to make sense that he&#8217;d be willing to throw away his credibility that was built over decades so I&#8217;m willing to accept that he at least <em>believes these things to be true himself</em>.</p>

Perhaps in his old age, Eshed has become delusional or maybe after being retired for so long he is desperate to be back in the public eye. Eshed is currently promoting a book about UFOs so he definitely has a financial incentive to stir up some noise in this arena and maybe even hit the <a href="https://alienufoblog.com/difference-ufo-ufo-important/">UFO</a> convention circuit for even more financial gain. To be clear, I&#8217;m not saying this is the case, but these are common possibilities we must keep in mind when examining these types of claims.</p>

  1220. <p>In order to put people there to live long-term without having to be cooped up in special air-tight buildings, terraforming Mars to be more hospitable to human life. It doesn&#8217;t have to become a tropical paradise, just <em>livable</em>.</p>

  1224. <p>So how can we do that, and how long will it take? <em>Is it even possible?</em></p>

  1244. <p>The Martian atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide. Humans cannot live in such an environment without special breathing equipment.</p>

  1248. <p>In order for humans to be able to breathe unassisted in the Martian outdoors would require an oxygen-rich atmosphere. So how can we get that?</p>

  1252. <p>The easiest way to increase the oxygen on Mars would be to grow plants there. Plants require carbon dioxide to grow and in that process, they release oxygen. This process may actually be how Earth got much of its oxygen we breathe today.</p>

  1256. <p>One challenge would be growing plants in alien soil. It&#8217;s widely thought that at least some earthly plants could take root in Martian soil. We wouldn&#8217;t expect any plants to grow on Mars as well as they do in their native habitat on Earth, but they really just need to survive long enough to contribute to the oxygen content of the atmosphere and create enough organic material as they decompose to provide richer soil for additional plants.</p>

  1260. <p>Another challenge to growing plants on Mars is the sunlight. Mars is a lot further from the sun and so the photosynthetic processes most plans rely on to grow won&#8217;t work so well. Perhaps with some genetic manipulation or using plants already adapted to grow in low light, there may be some potential.</p>

  1264. <p>Finally another great challenge to growing plants on Mars would be providing adequate water for the plants to grow. While Mars likely has plenty of ice, humans won&#8217;t be there to melt it and tend to the fields. Any plants being grown would likely have to be kept in some type of greenhouse.</p>

  1268. <h3 class="wp-block-heading">2. Atmospheric Pressure</h3>

  1272. <p>One of the most damning problems with terraforming Mars has to do with the pressure of the atmosphere itself. The Martian atmosphere is incredibly thin, about 1% that of Earth.</p>

  1276. <p>According to a <a href="https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/goddard/2018/mars-terraforming/" class="rank-math-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2018 study</a>, it&#8217;s essentially impossible to increase the Martian atmospheric pressure to something humans could survive using current-day technology. This is due to the fact that even if all of the CO<sub>2</sub> and water vapor contained in the Martian ice caps and soil could be vaporized and put into the atmosphere, it still wouldn&#8217;t be enough to support human life. To put it simply, Mars itself just doesn&#8217;t have enough raw materials to thicken the atmosphere enough.</p>

  1280. <p>Well, that&#8217;s awfully depressing. But, remember we&#8217;re still talking about present-day technology. Creating technology that could carry the raw materials to Mars is still a possibility, even if lies in the far future.</p>

  1288. <p>There&#8217;s an obvious importance to a livable temperature. Without it, you have to spend energy to melt ice into liquid water and create warmth so humans don&#8217;t freeze to death on the planet&#8217;s surface. The easy part though is if you can take care of the first 2 items we&#8217;ve talked about, then temperature might just take care of itself.</p>

  1292. <p>A thicker atmosphere with plenty of oxygen, carbon dioxide, &amp; water vapor would cause a greenhouse effect that could warm the planet. It doesn&#8217;t have to be toasty, just enough so that humans can survive.</p>

  1304. <p>It&#8217;s really hard to say. But we might be able to start terraforming Mars in the next couple of hundred years if we don&#8217;t destroy ourselves first. It will all depend on us developing the needed technology to do so and it would still require a lot of luck. Unfortunately, it means none of us will be alive to see it happen because even if we begin terraforming Mars sooner, the process may take hundreds or thousands of years.</p>

  1308. <p>But there is some consolation. It is likely we&#8217;ll see humans on Mars in the next 30-50 years. With high tech pushes for a manned mission to Mars by private companies like <a href="https://alienufoblog.com/will-spacexs-starship-finally-take-humans-to-mars/" class="rank-math-link">Space X</a>, these will help pave the way for human colonization on the red planet.</p>
