47.

According to the White House website, the past 57 months produced over 10.9 million new jobs. 2.9 million Jobs were in 2014. I think it could have been better if more homes could save money. One way that the average household could keep money in their pockets is to upgrade the furnace and air condition units. Over 70% of Americans still have outdated appliances zapping their wallets every month and one could assume that with debt steadily climbing, we all should be looking for ways to save. Utilities like Pepco are offering services to help spread the word about energy cost. They will come to your home and check for air leaks, give you low energy bulbs and make recommendation for improvements. It’s a great service to have when you are spending $150 a month or more.
48. How do I know if my home isn’t energy efficient?
49. • Your thermostat doesn’t cut the furnace off when the set temperature is reached
50. • You can feel a breeze coming from the front door
51. • The windows doesn’t close all the way
52. • Its colder in one of my room then the rest of the house
53. • I barely see any insulation in the attic

Are the kids going to stay inside under the cool A/C breeze or hang out at the pool? There are a couple of things that you can do to keep your energy bill from hitting the fan.
88.
AC & Furnace Systems Check

 89.
This is perhaps the most important thing you can do to ensure that your Heating and Air are running at its best. During this process a certified HVAC technician will thoroughly search every aspect of your system. Looking for leaks, cracks, and worn out parts. Don’t forget to change your air filter regularly. For more information you can visit Bernie’s HVAC.

 90.
Thermostat Setting Control

 91.
Increasing the temperature just a degree can add more cost to your bill overall but by maintaining a consistent temperature throughout the home you can save 10%-15%. It’s preferred that all homes use a programmable thermostat. This will save around $180 every year.

 114.

Just like your motor vehicle your HVAC system needs a check up regularly as well. Think of it like this, you pay a little now in routine maintenance or pay a lot later in major repairs all at once. Now that fall is upon us its best to get a license Heater and Air specialist to check your system. They will check for wear on the coil and breakage on the lines. It best to keep up with energy consumption too sense you are using energy anyway. The name of the game is to use less energy and get the same results as before.

 115.
Also the service should include checking the amp draw of the compressor, oiling the fan motors, checking that belts are well adjusted, and checking the system operating pressures and temperatures against the manufacturer’s specifications. One of the most important items to check is the coolant level (commonly known as Freon) in the air conditioner. A system that is only 10% low on coolant will cost about 20% more to operate! The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) recommends that coolant levels be checked every year.

 116.

 117.
Federal Government Wants you to have some money

 118.
Also, by investing in energy improvements to your home you may be eligible in receiving a federal tax credit. Not to mention the money you will be saving in energy cost month after month.
