36.
You’ve been preparing for months – training your booth staff, racing deadlines, and scheduling meetings with clients at the trade show. You’ve invested time, energy and resources to draw attendees to your booth. The show starts and you have good traffic flow and maybe, what seems like a decent amount of engagement. About a month later, you’re excited to see the fruit of your labor – when your sales team reports that the leads gathered from the show are not converting. Even more surprising, several of those leads are reflecting low brand awareness or an understanding of your company’s offerings. As important as having a great exhibit design and knowledgeable, approachable staff are – it’s crucial that how you’re engaging attendees is memorable, and even more so, makes sense.

 37.
No matter your main goal at the show, creating an engaging experience that is equally appealing as it is clearly related to your brand will help you to achieve awareness – and conversions – well after the event. Here are 4 steps you should consider when determining the best way to engage attendees at your booth: Know Your Ideal Attendees Before you can create the right engagement strategy, you need to be aware of who you are engaging. This doesn’t just mean knowing who goes to the trade show you’re exhibiting at – but who in the crowd is your ideal client. Whose problems can be solved with your company’s solutions? Who are the decision-makers? What are they looking for? What are their concerns? And how will your brand’s presence at the show bring them peace of mind in the weeks, months, and possibly years to follow? Once you’ve determined your ideal attendees at the show, you can then prepare how to best engage them in a way that doesn’t just capture their attention but creates a connection. Determine One Focus Establish ONE big idea you want your attendees to leave your exhibit knowing about you, whether that’s a key differentiator, a new product launching, or how to use your company’s services. Having one focus not only clears your exhibit of too many messages that tend to leave attendees overwhelmed and worse, confused about your brand, it also helps your engagement element to be memorable. The more exhibitors at the show, the more important it is that you make a lasting impression. This doesn’t mean you can’t elaborate on the many other features of your company in conversation, but in order to draw in your ideal attendees and help them remember you afterward, it’s easier to have them remember one big thing than a million little things. Make the Client the Focus Once you have determined whom you’re targeting and the most important takeaway for them, arrange your engagement to keep them at the focus. For example, maybe you’re an IT company with a unique training system for new hires. You’re engaging attendees by allowing them to interact with the system through a tablet or touchscreen. Instead of trying to draw them in with messaging like “Try our new training system,” consider focusing on their needs by using messaging like “train your new hires in HALF the time.” Feel the difference? As a consumer, you want to know the company you’re investing in pays off for YOU.

 38.
It’s common that companies could be offering the same product or service, but the one clearly focused on the client’s best interest instead of their company’s gain will have higher conversions – and quite possibly longer retention rates. Any engagement, from demos, games, giveaways, or conversations, should be focused on the good and growth of the attendee. Stay on Theme Above all – stay on theme. If your engagement does not align with your brand, the interaction will fall flat. Creating a photo opportunity with bright colors and fun props is great, but what did the client capture about your brand? Having attendees enter a raffle for an Alexa or Google Home is exciting, but did they discover how your brand finds them solutions? Creating an over-the-top themed space or interaction that has no correlation to your brand, offerings or relevancy to your attendance can be “show-stopping” but leaves attendees clueless to what you really bring to the table. Creating an exhibit that reflects your brand, speaks to your ideal attendees and meets your specific needs is all part of the experience we create at Rockway. Helping you to create a lasting impression and meaningful engagement is our goal. If you need consulting or ideas on more than just your exhibit design – we offer our team’s marketing-centric minds to help you create the best strategy to make meaningful connections on the show floor. Contact us today and let us know what you want your attendees to remember you for – we’ll provide the exhibit and strategy to make it happen.

Here are three short humorous reasons why custom creations might be just what you’re looking for.

 79.
#3 – That coworker who always steals your mug

 80.
It never fails. You start a new job, bring your own nice things, and somebody starts using them all willy nilly. Not fair! This time catch them in the act! If they call you out on it, just point to the classy engraving you had put on the mug, and they’ll never bug you again. Sweet victory!

 81.
#2 – You’re never getting that dish back

 82.
It’s summer– the season of pot lucks. You’ve taken the time to prepare your favorite hot dish, but uh oh, the picnic table is lined with 17 other identical dishes! You’ve got nothing to worry about if you’ve taken the time to customize your dish.

 83.
#1 – Encouragement comes in many forms

 84.
Whether you’re starting your own bar like Eric here, or you just need a reminder that you are the best you out there, a custom etched mirror can tell you whatever you need to hear.
85. If you can dream it, we can make the dream become a reality. Get started today with a thorough search on our website or better yet, stop by! Happy dreaming.

 105. COVID-19 Impact
106. In the first half of 2020, CBD companies are experiencing a loss in revenue due to store closures and consumer concerns about Coronavirus and their finances. Shelter-at-home policies paused hemp-derived CBD (cannabidiol) sales through many brick-and-mortar retailers that were temporarily shuttered in March. While grocery, drug, and health food stores remained open as essential businesses during this time, other retailers selling CBD products such as vape shops and CBD specialist retailers either closed temporarily during the crisis or only offered curbside pickup and delivery. While most states and cities reopened by the end of June, a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the Sunbelt, consumer worries about contracting the coronavirus, and social distancing guidelines are reducing foot traffic to stores. Another challenge for CBD consumers is the rise in unemployment that limits consumers’ ability to buy CBD products. The US is experiencing the highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression in the 1930s, with an 11.1% unemployment rate in June, up from 3.8% in February.

 107.
The US hemp-derived CBD market is projected to reach $4.7 billion in sales in 2020, with 14% growth over 2019 sales of $4.1 billion. Full year 2020 retail sales are not expected to reach levels anticipated prior to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the economic pressures faced by consumers and temporary store closures, inaction by the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) is constraining growth of the US CBD market.
108. As Americans stay at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, CBD companies are facing both challenges and opportunities. A major challenge is the loss of revenue from store closures as many retailers selling CBD products had either closed temporarily or only offered curbside pickup and delivery when shelter in place orders were enforced. Even for CBD specialist retailers and smoke shops that remained open, they are experiencing steep declines in sales as social distancing guidelines and consumer worries about contracting the coronavirus keep shoppers at home.

 109.
A strong e-commerce presence is especially important for CBD companies during this time as early stay-at-home orders shuttered retailers and sent many consumers to e-commerce. Many consumers reduced visits to stores when stay at home policies were in effect and are still wary of visiting physical stores. Nearly half (45%) of CBD consumers surveyed in June 2020 have moved their CBD purchases online as a result of the coronavirus crisis. Millennial shoppers are the most likely to have switched to e-commerce for their CBD needs, with 54% reporting switching from brick and mortar stores to online as they also increase their usage and spending during this stressful time. CBD market leaders have seen online sales increase dramatically in the first half of 2020 but are still making efforts to expand in brick and mortar retailers to set up for future success and broader brand awareness. CBD companies with extensive DTC (direct-to-consumer) experience, databases of e-newsletter subscribers, and large social media followings have been able to reach out to their consumers and sell through their brand websites.
110. Growth Drivers
111. • Extensive media coverage and natural health and wellness trends: Growing awareness of CBD’s health benefits, combined with a movement toward natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals, is driving consumer demand for CBD products.
112. • Expanded distribution channels: CBD products went mainstream in 2019 as CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Albertsons, and other national retail chains began to sell CBD products in their stores. Supermarket chain Publix, beauty specialist Bluemercury, and QVC home shopping channel have begun selling CBD products in 2020.
113. • Strategic marketing: CBD companies are using multiple methods including social media, podcasts, radio ads, print media, and infomercials to reach consumers.
114. • Product variety and evolution: The growing diversification and sophistication of CBD products appeals to a much broader consumer audience beyond cannabis users and natural food store consumers.
115. Companies Continue to Focus on Innovation (2nd gen of CBD products)
116. Innovation in CBD continues to be active despite many employees working remotely and meetings with retailers and distributors taking place on Zoom instead of in-person. Companies are going beyond adding new flavors and are investing in research & development to introduce new products that contain botanical ingredients and minor cannabinoids CBG and CBN alongside CBD to offer additional benefits.

 117.
Immunity support is a key area of focus in 2020 for CBD companies as consumers seek out ingredients that support immune health such as elderberry, echinacea, and vitamin C during the coronavirus pandemic. Bluebird Botanicals’ new Immune Support+ Vitamin D3 & CBD Oil combines a full-spectrum hemp extract blend with vitamin D3, which promotes a healthy immune response. Medterra’s new Immune Boost Drops combine elderberry, echinacea, vitamin D, ginger root, ashwagandha, vitamin C, reishi mushroom, and lemon balm to support immune health with the calming power of CBD.

 118.
CBD companies are also beginning to incorporate minor cannabinoids including CBG and CBN alongside CBD as combining cannabinoids and terpenes (found naturally in hemp) are believed to produce the “entourage effect” where the compounds work synergistically to enhance the effects of each component. The price of CBG has also come down recently as hemp farmers have found methods to cultivate hemp strains with higher CBG percentages. CBDfx’s new Wellness 2:1 CBD + CBG Tincture offers a 2:1 ratio of CBD to CBG along with 18 proprietary terpenes, Curcumin, and Coenzyme Q10 to boost the entourage effect. CBDistillery’s Relief + Relax CBD CBG 1:1 Oil combines the benefits of CBD and CBG. CBG (cannabigerol) is believed to have antimicrobial, analgesic or anti-inflammatory properties. CBD American Shaman’s CBNight Water Soluble CBN Oil is a blend of cannabinoids to promote better sleep, without the common side effects of sleep aids. CBN (cannabinol) may have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits but is best known for its sleep-enhancing benefits.

 119.
Product innovation is also occurring as consumer packaged goods and pharmaceuticals companies enter the CBD market. Church & Dwight introduced Vitafusion CBD Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Gummies in December 2019 as CBD gummies from America’s #1 gummy vitamin brand. The gummies are made with full spectrum hemp extract and come in three varieties – CBD Full Spectrum, CBD Sleep Well (with melatonin), and CBD Chill Mood (with L-Theanine to provide calm and relaxation). Hello Products (now owned by Colgate-Palmolive) introduced Hello CBD Soothing Mouthwash and Fluoride Free Toothpaste in February 2020, which are formulated with broad spectrum hemp oil and hemp extract and contain additional ingredients such as aloe vera, coconut oil (to soothe and moisturize) and tea tree oil or activated charcoal (to reduce bad breath). In the beauty and skincare arena, luxury beauty brand Chantecaille introduced its first CBD product – CBD 300 Face and Body Cream – that combines the soothing, calming benefits of broad-spectrum CBD with eggplant stem cell extract, Cannabis Sativa stem cell extract, and Cherimoya extract to visibly enhance skin’s moisture content and reduce visible redness. Tea company Brew Dr. launched its Tranquil Kombucha With CBD that merge herbs such as rosemary, mint, and sage with Oregon-grown hemp from East Fork Cultivars. GlaxoSmithKline ventured into CBD with its February 2020 launch of 36 Bushels topicals line that incorporate botanical ingredients. 36 Bushels promises triple tested ingredients and that they carry out over 36 quality checks, hence the 36 Bushels name. The line uses broad spectrum derived extracted from USA-grown hemp, is guaranteed 0.0% THC, and is crafted in small batches with consistent quality.
120. Many consumer packaged goods companies – especially food and beverage – are rationalizing their portfolios and focusing on core brands, rather than variety and innovation. This is to help streamline supply chains and reduce complexity in the uncertain environment created by the coronavirus. CBD companies and brands are doing the opposite and rolling out innovation at a high pace to draw in new consumers and keep existing CBD users interested in the industry. New functional ingredients can help bring new consumers to CBD, especially as natural ingredients complement the many uses of CBD and help consumers better understand how to incorporate these products into their daily or weekly wellness habits. Featuring these products that also offer accessible price points can help drive incremental CBD sales for convenience operators and encourage routine purchases. Major players such as CBDfx and Medterra who have rolled out innovation at a rapid pace in 2020 have been rewarded with increased brand awareness and sales in this challenging time.

 140.
WASHINGTON D.C. — U.S. Sen. Kamala D. Harris and nine other senators sent a letter to Congressional leadership Wednesday on behalf of state-legal cannabis small business and indirect cannabis small businesses, according to a press release.
141. In the letter, the senators called for forthcoming COVID-19 legislative relief packages to allow those businesses to access loan and emergency grant programs administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, a press release said.
142. The press release said senators highlighted the failings of current regulations that exclude small businesses with “direct” or “indirect” products or services that aid the use, growth, enhancement or other development of cannabis from SBA-backed financing, including the Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loans. These outdated regulations have left taxpaying, state-legal cannabis small businesses behind during this crisis, according to the press release.
143. “The cannabis industry supports more than 240,000 workers in the United States, spanning 33 states and the District of Columbia. Some of these jobs have already been lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic crisis, and there is significant risk of greater job loss in the coming months. Many cannabis businesses are small-to-medium size operators, and some have been ordered to close to comply with state public health safety measures without having access to the same support systems in place as other small businesses in different sectors,” senators said in the letter.
144. PUBLICIDAD
145. “Given the nature of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we must ensure that every American small business has the capacity to protect the health and economic well being of their community and workforce. Therefore, we ask Senate Leadership to include in any future relief package provisions to allow state-legal cannabis small businesses and the small businesses who work with this industry to access the critical SBA support they need during these challenging and unprecedented times,” senators said.
146. Harris was joined in writing and signing this letter by Senators Jacky Rosen, Ron Wyden, Catherine Cortez Masto, Jeff Merkley, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Ed Markey, Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bennet.

 166.
Las Vegas: ‘We Look Forward to Welcoming the SHOT Show Family in January’
167. The July cancellation of CES has some people questioning whether SHOT Show can and will move forward. We can and will move forward by working with all of our show partners to put into place the best practices that we have collectively gathered. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is one of those partners, and LVCVA CEO Steve Hill recently sent me this letter pledging his organization’s commitment to helping us host a safe and productive show in January. We genuinely appreciate LVCVA’s support.
168. — Chris Dolnack, NSSF

 169.
Vegas Hotels Offering Discounted Rates for SHOT Week
170. With the Las Vegas hotel community motivated to attract our industry this coming January, we are happy to announce the first of what we anticipate will be many cost reductions over the coming months. MGM Resorts has significantly reduced their nightly rates, and resort fees, for those that book their rooms in our block through onPeak. Always wanted to be like the gang from Oceans 11 and stay at the Bellagio? You can now stay there for only $135 a night during the week and a reduced resort fee of only $25. You’ll likewise find nightly midweek rates at MGM Grand, Park MGM and New York all under $90. Visit this link for rates at all our partner hotels through onPeak and stay tuned for more great opportunities over the coming weeks and months.
171. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx

 172.
LWRCI Talks SHOT Show and Its Upcoming Move to Caesars Forum
173. With the expansion to the new Caesars Forum, 2021 will be largest SHOT Show in history. LWRCI was one of the first companies signing on to exhibit in the new facility. Writer Kevin Tate recently spoke with David Golladay, LWRCI’s director of marketing, who has been managing the messaging of brands in our industry for the better part of three decades. In 2021, he’ll celebrate the attendance of his 30th SHOT Show. It’s a great read, and you can find it here. — Bill Dunn, NSSF

 174.
Sands, Venetian Offer Glimpse at Enhanced Safety Measures for Food and Beverage Service
175. The Venetian Resort and Sands Expo recently presented a review of food and beverage setups and how they would be operating under the state’s current guidelines. Above are some sample photos from the recent presentation. At the current time, all food and beverage items will be displayed and served by an attendant. This will also include coffee stations. All attendant-served buffets, bars and coffee break stations are installed with clear acrylic plexiglass shields.

 176.
Hand-sanitizing units are set outside each entrance door for all food and beverage locations. Hand-washing stations are set behind buffets for the service attendants, which you can see in the photo on the left. All social distancing will be followed based on Nevada’s guidelines at that time. This showcases just one of the many new protocols to welcome back guests in a safe manner.

For many, the process of trying to find the perfect display is always evolving.
195. There’s a wide range of possibilities for any company in search of the best trade show display for their particular needs. There’s no one best solution for everyone.
196. Much of this discussion is dependent on your particular company’s marketing needs and strategy behind a trade show display. While some businesses may need maximum visibilities, many others are viewing a perfect display through the lens of practical needs: portability, setup, weight, etc.
197. Our criteria in determining what may be the best display system is based on an average sized company with a modest budget in search of a solution that can be transported and installed by anyone without special equipment or the help of convention center staff.

 198.
With this criteria in mind, we know that the average trade show display order is approximately $2,000. And the most common trade show booth size is 10’ x 10’. Any trade show booth setup needs a backwall, and the average staff size sent to an event is only two people. For the sake of being conservative, we expect that one person is assigned to set up the display solo.

 199.
The challenge is to find a display that is $2,000 or less that can fit in a 10’ x 10’ booth and be setup by one person. The ideal display should also be durable and rigid, and able to be used heavily over the course of the year over numerous trade show displays without needing to replace graphics or parts due to wear.

 200.
While there are numerous options and certainly a variety of solutions can meet this list of criteria, we recommend to many companies tension fabric displays. This style of display checks many boxes on the list of needs for a variety of businesses.

 201.

 202.
Lightweight Materials: Approximately 50 Pounds
203. When a display is made out of aluminum tubing and polyester stretch fabric it offers many advantages: everything from easy to move and store, to easy to setup and takedown by one person, and loading it into a vehicle.

 204.
Easy to Transport & Setup
205. A highly portable display that is easy to transport and setup in under 30 minutes saves staff’s energy and time allowing them to focus attention on things that are more important about a trade show: making connections, networking, and building relationships.

 206.
Durable and Rigid Structure: Aluminum Frame
207. The 1-1/4″ cold-drawn anodized aluminum used in the vast majority of our tension fabric displays can support a lot of weight without warping, bending, or wearing out. Because of its strength, these frames are also perfect for supporting tv/monitors.

 208.
Machine Washable Fabric Graphics
209. Exhibiting at show after show and setting up and taking down over and over again, your display is sure to collect dust, dirt, or debri. The advantage to stretch polyester fabric graphics is they can be thrown into a home washing machine and they’ll be good as new.

 210.
Easy-to-Renew Graphics
211. The aluminum frame is sure to outlive the fabric graphic or at least your current marketing slogans. When the time comes to update your message or freshen your branding, it’s super-easy to replace the fabric graphics.

 212.
Affordable Price: $2,000 or less
213. Your company can get a professional-looking, easy-to-setup, durable trade show display for less than $2,000 with a case-to-counter for easy transportation and qualified graphic design services. Obviously, there will also be options above this price for added value.

 214.

 215.
When you’re ready for your next display and exploring trade show booth ideas, choose the system that is easily one of the best trade show display options available. Our display experts are available to talk by phone, chat or email with you at anytime about what’s ideal for your company’s budget, strategy, staff support, and overall needs.

Since it has wheels, they allow it to move and reorganized easily.

 235.
Carts are able to follow where the shoppers lead. Whether this is to different sporting events, fairs, or busy streets, a cart can be easily moved around. A cart is often smaller than a stationary kiosk, and usually has a lower start-up cost. To launch a cart business, you simply need to invest in your cart, merchandise, and any necessary selling permits, and presto, you’re ready to sell.

 236.
Mobile carts allow you to sell smaller batches of products and tailor your merchandise to specific events or groups. For example, many successful cart businesses offer fan merchandise at local sports events, seasonal and gift items at fairs, and crafty items at festivals.

 237.
Since you are in control of when and where your cart is open for business, you can work the space by yourself or with a partner.

 238.
Carts can be custom made, so you’ll get just what you need. They’re manufactured with high quality material, taking care of every little detail, and since you won’t need as much investment as if you set a conventional store it will allows you to increase your profits quickly.

 239.
If you want a customized cart, contact us, we can help you find the best one for you!

These are two ways to grab your shoppers’ attentions:

 295.
Displays

 296.
Setting up a display in your store can draw the attention of shoppers. Regardless of what your store sells, you should create visual displays throughout your store. This will break up the monotonous look of product lining the shelves, giving shoppers a fresh perspective on what you have to offer.

 297.
Sale Signs

 298.
Tossing up some promotional sale signs around certain products is sure to create a positive response among shoppers. A bright red “50% Off” sign is hard to ignore, leading to more sales. Don’t limit yourself to just a single sign, but instead place several up around the particular product area. Your goal is to drive as much attention to the area as possible.
