47.
As students at Fuqua, we embrace what makes us unique. The “25 Random Things” essay is an opportunity to step back from interviews, test scores, and resumes and reflect on our authentic selves. Beyond becoming a well-known piece of Fuqua’s admission process, the “random things” essay is an essential step in helping the Admissions team get to know us better.

227.
My decision to pursue an MBA came with a lot of uncertainty. While I knew that I wanted to continue my education, I wasn’t sure what that education would look like. I did not know anyone who had recently graduated from an MBA program, and I had read that B-school culture revolved around drinking alcohol, lavish vacations to far-off destinations, and a myopic focus on profit. The elements of life that bring me the most joy—from time in the mountains to my faith and making music with others—seemed at odds with the B-school norm. As I explained in my last blog, I was attracted to the versatility of an MBA, but I would need to attend a university whose mission aligned with my values and one where I could bring my whole self.

230.
231.
Deciding Where To Go

232.
233.
234.
235.
There is so much information available about universities and MBA programs that it can be a bit overwhelming. I spent hours poring over school websites, to understand whether the values of the school aligned with mine. If the school passed this values test, I dove deeper into their cost of attendance, curriculum, student clubs and organizations, faculty, employment reports and alumni networks, experiential learning opportunities, and processes for taking courses across the university. I spoke with current students and alumni, used university and program rankings as external proxies for quality, and asked trusted colleagues at work and in my network for their perceptions and/or experiences with the programs. I even made an Excel spreadsheet rating each program on ten metrics and weighing scores based on their relative importance.

236.
237.
238.
239.
This process whittled a list of more than twenty programs down to the six in which I submitted applications. They all had one thing in common—a mission of educating decent future business leaders to collaborate with all stakeholders to solve complex global challenges.

240.

242.
243.
Knowing Fuqua Was Right for Me

244.
245.
246.
247.
My decision came to two programs, one of which was Duke Fuqua. Duke had risen to the top of my rankings (using the methodology above), and I jumped at the opportunity to attend Blue Devil Weekend. I went in with two main questions on affordability and cultural fit and left the weekend feeling assured that this would be a good place to be.

Perhaps most importantly, I met several great people who demonstrated such warmth and courage to find their own fit at Fuqua. Knowing that they chose an MBA at Fuqua and seeing how students treated each other in the hallways offered evidence that this would be a place where I fit in.

263.
By now, it’s clear how the story ended: I accepted the offer to attend Duke University and Fuqua. From time to time, I am still surprised that I am pursuing an MBA. Yet I could not be prouder about being a graduate student at Duke University.

268.
269.
270.
271.
I took away three key lessons from this process that I hope are helpful for others in my position.

272.
273.
274.
275.

276.
Take a Leap

277.

278.
279.
280.
281.
I have found that I grow the most when I put myself in environments and situations where positive outcomes are not always assured. Pursuing an MBA is one of those leaps, and even though there have been challenges, I do know that there will be positive outcomes.

282.
283.
284.
285.

286.
“To Thine Own Self Be True”

287.

288.
289.
290.
291.
It is easy to move through life and not actively contemplate what you stand for, what you believe in, and what you will do with what you are given. I hope that the graduate school application process allows others to dig into what motivates them and gives them purpose.

292.
293.
294.
295.

296.
Identify Your Priorities

297.

298.
299.
300.
301.
Each of the top 10-15 MBA programs offer similar core curriculums and emphasis on “traditional career paths” into consulting, tech, and finance. Knowing the 5-10 most important attributes about a program, a university, a place to live, and the people you will be surrounded by—and then ranking each option by these attributes—revealed which programs align with what mattered most to me.

302.
303.
304.
305.
Graduate school is a costly endeavor, and getting it right matters even more.

325.
Reactions to my decision to attend business school were not what I expected. Upon telling friends and colleagues who knew me well, they offered a resounding, “Really? You, business school?” It was a shock to them, but it was also a shock to me!

326.
327.
328.
329.
I did not have a grand life strategy where getting an MBA was one piece to the larger puzzle, and I had not felt like I fit in with the business students I knew from my undergraduate experience. Coming from a background as a professional musician and management consultant with a faith-driven mission to use my life in service to others, business school did not appear to be the glove that fit. Yet, as I journeyed through the graduate school application process, I came to find that an MBA was what I needed to continue living out that mission by scaling climate resilience and adaptation solutions.

337.
Pursuing a Graduate Education

338.
339.
340.
341.
I knew from an early age that graduate school was in the cards for me. Growing up around a university, I loved the college environment and the intellectual curiosity it fosters. I took this to heart, completing my undergraduate studies of two majors and three minors in disparate fields—music performance, international studies, economics, and African studies.

342.
343.
344.
345.
I knew that graduate school would offer an ability to receive specialized training. As an aspiring leader at the intersection of climate and international development, I wanted to deepen my content knowledge, technical skills, and grow as a leader.

346.
347.
348.
349.
Deciding on the Degree

350.
351.
352.
353.
I struggled throughout the application process in how to pursue these goals and interests in a graduate education. On one hand, very specialized programs in climate and/or development offer a depth of subject matter expertise unmatched by a generalist program. On the other hand, professional degrees like an MPA or MBA offer fundamentals and leadership development and subject matter expertise if one searches for it. I found the tightest fit with professional degrees because I’m a practical, hands-on problem-solver with leadership aspirations.

354.
355.
356.
357.
A policy nerd by heart, I grew up around policy schools and intimately understood graduate policy programs. I applied to both graduate policy and business programs because both would have offered opportunities to meet my core objectives. Of particular importance was an ability to work across sectors throughout my career, serving in governments, as much as business or nonprofit organizations.

362.
363.
364.
365.
The more that I spoke to alumni of both types of programs in my discernment process, the more I came to understand the ways an MBA degree is versatile.

366.
367.
368.
369.

370.
Even though MBA programs tend to focus exclusively on the private sector, I could still pursue my broader interests.

371.
372.
373.
374.
The value of an MBA is understood by all sectors and offered the type of legitimacy needed to serve at the highest levels of organizations during my post-MBA career.

375.
376.
377.
378.
The MBA also offered an ability to build and practice skills I did not learn in consulting and dive deeper into areas of interest like climate and development finance, a subset of impact investing.

379.

380.
381.
382.
383.
Just determining an MBA fit my aspirations was not the end of my journey; instead, it launched an entirely new endeavor—finding the right program for me. I had hesitations about the culture of business school. I’m happy to say that I found the right fit with Team Fuqua.

404.

405.
Being on the Fuqua Daytime MBA waitlist is a tricky place to be. Even trickier still is figuring out how to interact with the admissions office while you are awaiting a final decision! As a member of the admissions committee, I have been working with waitlisted applicants since 2015 and can attest to some of the most meaningful ways I’ve engaged with students on their waitlist journeys.

406.
407.
408.
409.
Applicants can (and should) interact with the admissions office in a variety of ways. Having two to three touchpoints with us during each round is a great level of engagement—it’s just enough to show interest without overdoing it. Some of the most popular ways to stay in touch are highlighted below.

410.
411.
412.
413.
1. Attend a virtual event for students on the waitlist.

414.
415.
416.
417.
I know, many of us attended virtual events in the past and probably spend a good portion of our work day in Zoom meetings. I promise this is worth the effort! With an admissions decision in hand, attending one of our virtual sessions is a great way to learn about how we evaluate waitlisted candidates, what they should consider when reflecting on their application, and to ask admissions committee members questions in real-time.

418.
419.
420.
421.
2. Come to a group of individual office hours session and be ready to chat.

422.
423.
424.
425.
Our team enjoys getting to know more about applicants on the waitlist. We want to hear about their interest in Fuqua and answer questions that they may have! While Fuqua admissions committee members are unable to give specific feedback on applications, waitlisted applicants should come ready to share updates they are considering for their applications and more information about why the Duke MBA is the right fit.

426.
427.
428.
429.
3. Submit official waitlist updates.

430.
431.
432.
433.
Our waitlist update form is a way to communicate with all members of the Fuqua admissions committee. As soon as a waitlist applicant submits this, the information will be accessible to the entire admissions committee. Any updates can be shared through this form!

434.
435.
436.
437.
Here are some of the most common updates we want to know about:

438.
439.
440.
441.

442.
A new test score

443.
444.
445.
446.
A promotion or new responsibility at work

447.
448.
449.
450.
A new reason why Fuqua is the right fit

451.

452.
453.
454.
455.
Notice the pattern? Each interaction and update from a waitlisted applicant is a touchpoint with the admissions committee and adds more information to their candidacy. Again, two to three touchpoints per round that an applicant is on the waitlist is enough to show their interest, but they should not hesitate to share meaningful updates with us!

476.
When applying to business schools last year, it seemed like most of the schools were very similar. However, after I attended Fuqua’s Pride Weekend, a mock class visit, and an admissions information session, I noticed how Fuqua and its students had unique values that aligned with my own. Now, as a Daytime MBA Student Ambassador, I help prospective students understand how they will fit into the Team Fuqua culture. As I’ve talked with prospective students, they’ve shared the fruitful events that helped them choose Fuqua. I recommend prospective students take advantage of campus visits to help provide context for the Fuqua MBA application.

488.
Mock Class Visit

489.
490.
491.
492.
The mock class visit will help you understand the dynamics within a Fuqua classroom. Here, you will understand the culture of the classroom, where participation is highly encouraged and all students share their unique perspectives on certain topics or industries. Although you may not know which classes will be available on the day of your visit, I recommend signing up for a class that is outside your comfort zone. When I did my mock class, I took Digital Landscape in FinTech. As someone who has no interest or background in financial technology, I realized that if I could enjoy that class, then the faculty at Fuqua must be special.

496.
Information Session with an Admissions Counselor

497.
498.
499.
500.
You should attend this information session if you are currently working on your application. They take place in the Admissions lounge with a small group of prospective students, and you will be able to ask an admissions counselor any questions you have prior to submitting your application. I recommend coming prepared with questions, specifically anything around essay prompts, resume, or general programming of the Daytime MBA.

504.
Fuqua Tour & Lunch in the Fox Center

505.
506.
507.
508.
A Fuqua tour will be led by a current Daytime MBA student, and they will show you the classrooms, study rooms, library, main entrance, and auditoriums. You will most likely see current Fuqua students occupying the team rooms with their C-Leads and witness Team Fuqua in action! The tour culminates with a lunch in the Fox Center, where current MBA students will be having lunch during the daily free-time period from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. During lunch, you will have another chance to talk to a first-year MBA student and other prospective students. I recommend asking any questions you have about classes, adjusting to an MBA, job recruiting, and clubs so you can get a better understanding of how you fit in at Fuqua.

511.
512.
Conversations in the Admissions Lounge with Fuqua Students

513.
514.
515.
516.
I am a little biased here since I work in the Admissions lounge and front desk, but another way to get great insights on the Team Fuqua culture is by chatting with the Daytime MBA Student Ambassadors in the Admissions lounge. We love answering all your questions and want to ensure you leave Fuqua knowing whether you see yourself here. These chats will be informal and don’t even have to be about Fuqua. Use this time to make yourself more comfortable before all the events, build a rapport with current students and showcase your authentic personality. This is the perfect time to ask about the clubs or initiatives you are interested in joining and how you can add value to these clubs, which will help add substance to your essays!

520.
Fuqua Friday

521.
522.
523.
524.
If you are visiting Fuqua on a Friday, you should absolutely stay until 4 p.m. to attend the weekly Fuqua Friday with free food and drinks. Personally, Fuqua Friday is the highlight of my week. It is one of the few times all your classmates will be in the same area. My favorite Fuqua Friday was when Argentina was playing the Netherlands in the World Cup. Hundreds of Fuqua students were crowding around the TVs in the Fox Center—the energy in the room was palpable! I recommend using this event to casually learn about Fuqua student culture and determine if you can picture yourself hanging out with these students every day, which is what I determined when I visited!

533.
534.
535.
536.
Another great way to take advantage of Fuqua’s campus visits is to attend one of our four Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Weekends. I attended Fuqua’s Pride Weekend in 2021 and it was one of the main reasons I choose Fuqua. I realized that there is a supportive and caring community for me at Fuqua where I am encouraged to be my authentic self. These weekends contain mock classes, information sessions, social events, and so many other great opportunities to chat with students and alumni. If you identify with one of these affinity groups below, I recommend you schedule them into your application process. They will provide you with great experiences to mention in your interviews!

589.

590.

591.
In Admissions, our goal every year is to find new ways to make the MBA application process less stressful and more straightforward. We want to ensure that our application allows applicants to feel comfortable being fully themselves by highlighting their unique strengths, skills, and aspirations. In that spirit, we have made the following updates to the 2023-2024 Daytime MBA application.

592.
593.
594.
595.
New Testing Options

596.
597.
598.
599.
GMAC and ETS, which administer the GMAT and GRE exams, respectively, announced updated versions of their standardized tests. The new GMAT Focus and the revised GRE exam will both offer shorter formats with different options for score reporting, feedback, and question formats. Fuqua will accept both of the new test format scores and also continue to accept the standard GMAT and GRE exams, as well as the Executive Assessment. As always, we have no preference for which test score a candidate submits. They should choose the test that is the best fit for them. Applicants are welcome to submit more than one test score and/or test format, and our Admissions team will consider the score that is most beneficial to the applicant. We will continue to require at least one valid test score for all applicants.

600.
601.
602.
603.
New Optional Section to Share More

604.
605.
606.
607.
We can’t get enough of the stories we hear in our “25 Things” essay, so we are leaving our essay questions the same as in previous years. However, we have added a new optional section within the biographical pages of our application that allow applicants to share a little bit more about their personal stories if they wish. Applicants who may be the first in their family to attend college, those who grew up facing financial hardship, or any other unique lived experience may now use this section of the application to help our Admissions team understand how that background has influenced their life, education, or career.

608.
609.
610.
611.
Additional Application Round Remains

612.
613.
614.
615.
One of the most important lessons learned during the past few rather tumultuous years is that the future is always uncertain. Between a lengthy pandemic, global economic uncertainty, and mass layoffs, we have all felt the effects of a rapidly changing world. In the 2022-2023 year, we made the decision to add an application deadline to help applicants who may have made the decision to apply to business school a little later in the application cycle, and we had a very positive response to the new round. We have decided to keep the round for the upcoming year. In addition to our Early Action deadline in September, we are offering application deadlines in September, January, February, and April.

616.
617.
618.
619.
Indicate Interest in Fuqua Impact Scholarships

620.
621.
622.
623.
Two years ago, we introduced a new scholarship program called the Fuqua Impact Scholars. Aligned with our five centers of excellence in social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, leadership, energy and the environment, and health care, the Fuqua Impact Scholars program matches highly qualified students with a center based on their interests and potential to contribute and grow. This year, we have added a short answer question to allow applicants to indicate an interest in the Fuqua Impact Scholars program, to choose up to two centers they are interested in, and a short answer response to share how they might engage as an Impact Scholar.

624.
625.
626.
627.
We have several different merit scholarship opportunities as well, and all applicants are considered for all merit-based scholarships for which they qualify.

628.
629.
630.
631.
We hope these changes will make it even easier for candidates to provide their strongest application and we look forward to getting to know each of them.

632.
The post New Testing Options and Application Updates appeared first on Duke Daytime MBA Student Blog.

656.

657.

658.
When I was accepted to Fuqua, I was very excited, but I also had a big decision to make. Aside from knowing all of the important dates (deposit due dates, when school would start, and when I should move to Durham), I also had a real desire to understand what life would be like at Fuqua—what was the schedule really like, how busy was the fall, when did recruiting start, etc.

659.
660.
661.
662.
Attending an admitted students’ weekend, like Blue Devil Weekend (BDW), was critical to helping finalize my decision to attend Fuqua. Now, as a Blue Devil Weekend Co-Chair, I have worked alongside a team to create a weekend packed with events that will help admitted students picture life at Fuqua. I have created this BDW guide on what to expect and how to prepare:

663.
664.
665.
666.
1. First things first—be ready to bring the ENERGY!

667.
668.
669.
670.
All of the students, admissions team, faculty and staff are so excited to welcome admitted students to Fuqua and we have a PACKED schedule prepared for the weekend. We want to give people the most complete picture of life at Fuqua by exposing them to all that Duke has to offer, including top-level academics, the Team Fuqua culture, future classmates, the classroom experience, our Career Management Center (CMC) resources, and more. It is a lot to fit into just a couple of days, but do not fear, we will have plenty of snacks and meals to keep everyone going. Be sure to get rest and be prepared for a fun and informative weekend.

671.
672.
673.
674.
2. Be prepared for spring weather.

675.
676.
677.
678.
The weather in Durham, while usually nice, has a chance to be a bit volatile day-to-day in the spring. Check the weather forecast and it never hurts to have some clothes on hand in case of unforeseen warmth, cold, or rain showers.

679.
680.
681.
682.
3. Think about which optional events to attend.

683.
684.
685.
686.
For the Career Management sessions, I recommend attending a session that fits an admitted student’s interests. Some ways to determine which session to attend could include looking at who from the CMC will be leading those events so admitted students get a chance to know someone they will be working with during their time at Fuqua. Our student-led panels, like Allyship to Real Talk, are there to help participants hear from a variety of current students and gain a deeper understanding of life at Fuqua. Even if someone feels that an event’s title does not speak to them, pick one and I promise they will come away having learned something.

687.
688.
689.
690.
4. Take advantage of time with current students.

691.
692.
693.
694.
In addition to the BDW Chairs, there are hundreds of student volunteers that will be at each and every event. Chat them up, ask them that burning question, or share any fears. Remember that we all went through this experience not that long ago and all of the current students are there because they want to meet and get to know admitted students!

695.
696.
697.
698.
5. Meet future classmates!

699.
700.
701.
702.
I think that such an underrated part of BDW is all the time participants will be spending with other admitted students. BDW is often the first time people meet that will end up becoming lifelong friends. Believe me when I say that the connections people make at BDW will last through the summer and prepare admitted students for the move to Durham.

703.
704.
705.
706.
Perhaps the most important part of my experience was not something you can find on the weekend agenda—it was a gut feeling that Fuqua was a place I could make my home for the next two years of my life. A place where I could be supported and challenged while making lifelong friends and connections. Everyone at Fuqua is here to make sure that it is the best and most beneficial experience it could possibly be. Do not be afraid to ask questions and take advantage of everything that we have planned.

707.
708.
709.
710.
And remember—BRING THAT ENERGY! They don’t call us Cameron Crazies for nothing!

711.
712.
713.

737.

738.
The past three years have been some of the most unusual in my 17 years at Fuqua. The impact of COVID on our lives was significant. In addition to the pandemic, we face new challenges: geopolitical struggles, rising inflation, large scale layoffs, supply chain disruptions, and more. There’s a lot going on in the world, and a lot of what is happening can feel overwhelming.

739.
740.
741.
742.
Our Admissions team feels it is important to acknowledge that context. As a result, we are adding another admission round this year to better support Daytime or Accelerated Daytime MBA candidates who find themselves in circumstances beyond their control—whether it be caring for a sick family member or facing an unexpected layoff.

743.
744.
745.
746.
Even though we saw applications for our Round 2 deadline increase over last year, we know that many of the challenges applicants are facing are new, maybe only occurring within the last couple of weeks. And so rather than changing our admissions requirements in the middle of our application year, we made the decision to change the timing and number of our remaining application rounds. In this way, we can meet these candidates where they are in this process, which may be in the very early stages.

747.
748.
749.
750.
Here is how it will work:

751.
752.
753.
754.

755.
Our Round 3 application deadline will move to February 13, 2023

756.
757.
758.
759.
We are adding a Round 4 application deadline of March 28, 2023

760.

761.
762.
763.
764.
The application will be available by January 13th.

765.
766.
767.
768.
Additionally, to allow maximum prep time for applicants new to the process, we’ll also allow students to apply by February 13 as long as they have a standardized test (GMAT, GRE, or Executive Assessment) scheduled to be taken by February 28. Self-reported scores can be given to Fuqua after the student takes the test and before admissions decisions are made.

769.
770.
771.
772.
Students admitted in Round 3 will still have time to attend Blue Devil Weekend, our admitted student weekend. Round 3 admission will also give international students enough time to process visa paperwork. Admissions in Rounds 3 and 4 give everyone time to complete financial aid and loan paperwork, and to prepare to move to Durham.

773.
774.
775.
776.
Our Admissions team wants to make it as easy as possible to help you prepare your application. We have put together a series of virtual sessions covering each component of the application, a special session on the Executive Assessment exam and who should consider it, in-person fair events and essay workshops, and more. You can find more information in our event schedule.

777.
778.
779.
780.
We have also created a series of short videos with application tips. You can view them here.

781.
782.
783.

785.
786.
787.
788.
Wherever you are in the application journey, we look forward to getting to know you better.

903.

904.
The new application year is upon us at Fuqua, and we’re excited for what we hope will be a return to ‘normal’ after two years of disruption caused by the pandemic. When our Admissions team reviews the application each year, our goal is to ensure the process is as straightforward and stress-free for applicants as possible. We think you will see the results of those efforts this year. Additionally, we want the MBA experience to be accessible to everyone, so we are excited to share a new scholarship program as well! Read on to learn about the changes you’ll see when the updated Duke MBA application goes live on July 7, 2022.

906.
907.
908.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Concentration

909.
910.
911.
912.
We’ve launched a new academic concentration—Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion—that will join the 16 we have offered in the past. These optional concentrations allow students to specialize their education and further refine the business and leadership skills they feel are critical to their intended career path. The new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion concentration is relevant for any student who will need to effectively lead diverse teams towards common purpose. Applicants will have the option to select it under the other concentrations and certificates section of the application.

913.
914.
915.
916.
A Qualifying STEM Program

917.
918.
919.
920.
While Fuqua has offered a Management Science and Technology Management (MSTeM) track for several years, the Daytime MBA program itself is now considered STEM-qualifying by U.S. authorities, providing all international students the benefit of a two-year STEM optional practical training (OPT) extension.

921.
922.
923.
924.
Fuqua Impact Scholars

925.
926.
927.
928.
We’re really excited to introduce our Fuqua Impact Scholars program! It will be a set of named, merit-based scholarships for high-potential admitted students who intend to make an impact on the world through business with a focus area that is tied to one of our research centers. These scholars will have the opportunity to attend special events with faculty, staff, and distinguished speakers, and will have access to specific resources provided by the centers most closely affiliated with their focus area.

929.
930.
931.
932.
As with our other merit scholarships, everyone is considered upon applying to the Daytime or Accelerated Daytime MBA programs—a separate application is not required. Fuqua Impact Scholars will be awarded in the following categories:

933.
934.
935.
936.

Health Care, tied to the Center for Health Sector Management (HSM)

Entrepreneurship and Innovation, tied to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI)

Leadership, tied to the Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership & Ethics (COLE)

Energy and Sustainability, tied to the Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE)

Social Impact, tied to the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE)

937.
938.
939.
940.
Letter of Recommendation

941.
942.
943.
944.
We made a change a couple of years back to require only one letter of recommendation with the application, but we retained the option for applicants to provide a second one if they would like. We are removing the second optional recommendation this year, and will only accept one letter of recommendation. We think this will cause less confusion and angst for applicants who might be wondering if the optional one is really needed or not, and create a more level playing field for applicants since only one letter will accompany each application. If applicants would like to have additional endorsements submitted, we have other mechanisms for that including the student/alumni endorsement form, as well as an alumni referral form—both of which can be found in the alumni volunteers resources section of our website.

945.
946.
947.
948.
Reapplicant Interviews

949.
950.
951.
952.
To avoid confusion and to allow all applicants the opportunity to be fully prepared to interview, we will no longer offer a separate interview period if you’re reapplying from the previous year. Instead, reapplicants are encouraged to interview during our Open Interview Period. If you don’t opt for this, you’ll be included for consideration during the interviews by invitation period after each round. Additionally, we will continue to offer the ability to clone a previous application, and will provide an application fee waiver for reapplicants. We do encourage reapplicants to provide updates to essays and test scores to increase their competitiveness.

953.
954.
955.
956.
Interview Formats

957.
958.
959.
960.
The pandemic enabled us to create more opportunities to meet applicants where they are and to offer flexible and more economic options for interviewing. Therefore, we will offer both on-campus and virtual interview options during the Open Interview Period and for interviews by invitation after each round.

961.
962.
963.
964.
Application Fee Waivers

965.
966.
967.
968.
We value your time, and we recognize it’s an investment for you to take the time to get to know Fuqua. In recognition of that, we continue to offer application fee waivers for applicants who attend a Fuqua event in the year of application. This year, we have also added the opportunity for Duke alumni who are applying to any of our graduate business programs to receive an application fee waiver.

969.
970.
971.
972.
Additional Changes and Information

973.
974.
975.
976.
Our Admissions truly wants to get to know our applicants as well as we can, so in an effort to improve our understanding, this year we will be asking our applicants to record a video pronouncing their first and last names. Don’t worry, it’s not a trick question – we want to ensure that we pronounce our students’ names correctly throughout their journey with us as applicants and students.

977.
978.
979.
980.
Applicants to our one-year Accelerated Daytime MBA we are offering the ability to apply in Rounds 1, 2 and 3 this year. In prior years we only accepted applications in Rounds 2 and 3.

981.
982.
983.
