In 1778, Mary Gregory married Edward Bright in Bedford County, VA and after Edward Bright died in 1784, Mary married James Duncan. William and Mary Moore. He died in Amherst County in 1766, and left property to his sons. I doubt he was a prisoner or one of those pushed out by the British. He must have had money or was given a grant to some land.
