16.
Presenter: Tim May

  17.
Description: Over the past 10 months, the ACMP Innovation Lab has conducted experiments designed to test and apply the Standard for Change Management™. This session will highlight aggregated visual stories created by attendees from recent summits in Toronto and San Diego. Change challenges were created based on domains 5.1 and 5.2 of the Standard™. These challenges originated as discussions on ACMP connect. Concepts from the ACMP Connect posts were aggregated into challenge stories and visualized as short works of fan-fiction (like mini graphic-novels). These visual change stories were presented for attendees of the ACMP conferences in Toronto and San Diego, and attendees were invited to apply the Standard™ by creating their own visual stories to correct the fictitious scenarios depicted therein.

  18.
Skill Level: Beginner (0-3) & Intermediate (4-7)

Domain: Evaluating Change Impact and Organizational Readiness & Formulating Change Management Strategy

  20.
Bio: Tim May is the Creative Director and head alchemist at XPLANE's Portland headquarters (Powered by TiER1), with a 25-year career spanning various roles in Boston, Amsterdam, and the Pacific Northwest. He combines design, curiosity, caffeine, storytelling, and visual thinking to drive transformative change for individuals and organizations, specializing in resolving challenges related to culture, vision, strategy, process, and alignment. Tim leads co-creative workshops, develops visual tools, and offers learning courses such as "the Visual Thinking Boot Camp" and "Storytelling for Change." His fan-fiction work with the ACMP Innovation Lab has been showcased at the last two Summits, and his client portfolio includes Netflix, Red Bull, Intel, Nike, Disney, Mathematica Research, Rocket Software, Sikorsky, Microsoft, Berklee Music, and Astra Zeneca, establishing himself as a crafty conjurer in change design and innovation.”

Learning Objectives:

Acquire some creative skills for applying the Standard for Change Management™

See how ACMP members devised real time solutions to change challenges

Learn visual methods for change storytelling

  281.
Type of Event: Webinar

  282.
Speakers: Keely Middleton & Andrew Ferguson

  283.

  284.
Description: Since the release of ChatGPT, AI has consistently been in the news with promises of efficiency and productivity gains. However, it’s not a magical end-all solution, and as change leaders, we need to embrace
  285. AI as both a technology and mindset change. By understanding AI and its potential applications, we can incorporate it into our own work and empower our teams to drive positive change and better outcomes.

  286.

  287.
To prepare, change managers should understand AI, welcome it into their workflow, initiate early conversations, and address employee concerns. Preparation for AI should involve building a compelling case for change, comprehending AI’s organizational
  288. impacts, relentless communication, governance establishment, and employee education to mitigate risks and make sure that AI is being used effectively.

  289.

  290.
However, most importantly, truly integrating AI requires a shift in mindset, requiring holistic culture transformation. Change leaders should seize the current momentum to reshape perspectives and attitudes toward AI for enhanced business, people,
  291. and technological outcomes. With the right approach, AI can be a powerful ally in our efforts to navigate the evolving landscape of business and technology.
411. and sample agendas.

  412.

  413.
The Change Questions represent a new way of thinking and acting characterized by an investigative process that creates a situational and customized approach to change. Whether the reader is a professional, a student, or someone who has been asked
  414. to lead a significant organizational change for the first time, this framework is easily used to implement change that sustains.

  415.

  416.
About the Author:
Dr. Lynn Kelley has carved a path marked by leadership roles in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and continuous improvement across diverse industries at a global scale. Lynn served as Senior Vice

  420. graduate statistics courses. Prior to her foray into academia, Lynn's operational experience led her to serve as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Doctors Hospital in Detroit.

  421.

  422.
Throughout her career, Lynn has forged a trail of achievement by expertly guiding organizations through Change Management initiatives. From Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing to Engineering, Six Sigma, and Supply Chain optimization, Lynn's
  423. practical methodologies have consistently delivered operational excellence that engages employees and surpasses customer expectations. Lynn wrote the Amazon best-selling book, Change Questions with John Shook, which describes their proven change

  450.
Title: Data-driven? Data-informed? Just help me use my data!

  451.
Presenter: Jamie Champagne

  452.
Description: Data can help us answer so many questions, but only if we know how to successfully leverage the power of this creative beast! Yet, you do not need to be a technical expert with years of data analysis or be called a data scientist to obtain this superpower! You simply need to know some basics on how both your business and the data is setup. Then with a few good questions, you can pull together some powerful insights that help teams make informed decisions!

In this session Jamie will walk you through how to approach using data to help you make informed decision-making. We’ll discuss how you can figure out what data you need to present viable recommendations to leadership. And then we’ll take these approaches to help enable those decision-makers around you to be well informed. We’ll also list out the steps for working with the “data people” to get information that helps your decision-making processes. And have you leaving with techniques and even a few tricks you can immediately apply in all your business work!

The session will walk through common business scenarios and use cases where data can drive a more informed decision and therefore, a more strategic direction forward. And while everyone has more data at their fingertips than ever before, everyone needs to know how to sift through the noise and find the specific data relevant to their business work. That is the key here that we walk participants through in how to stay focused on business value and outcomes by using the data (and not letting the data drive you!). A step-by-step framework is presented for ease of use and immediate applicability in daily work.

When decisions are made using informed conclusions from the right data more of the right decisions in the right context for the right reason are made that drives greater business value. Yet systems are not necessarily connected or consolidate, and business owners are often so removed from the data itself, that understanding how to take business goals down to the detailed data and back again is a critical management skill set one needs today and especially tomorrow!

Skill Level: Intermediate (4-7 Years)

Domain: Execute the Change Management Plan

Category: Professional Growth & Leadership

  453.
Bio: Jamie is beyond her "passionate BA" title and truly embodies business analysis and adding value to those around her every day. An accomplished speaker, author, and trainer, she enjoys sharing with others ways to improve their analysis skill sets, unique ways to look at the world, and how to be more productive with measurable results. You can find her speaking around the world, both in-person and online, on topics on business analysis, process improvement, project and change management, and productivity and leadership. She is an accomplished author with her book Seven Steps to Mastering Business Analysis, 2nd edition, and published courses on LinkedIn and Pluralsight. When she's not collaborating with her business partners, you can find her collaborating with her friends and family on the Hawaiian waters on a surfboard.

  481.
Speakers: Robert Snyder

  482.

  483.
Description: After two decades of software-centric methodologies, innovation teamwork has some big problems. Communication traffic jams discourage companies from pursuing all the innovation work they could pursue. The congestion and friction discourage companies from hiring all the innovation workers they could use. An obsession with speed has caused meeting gridlock, messaging overload, and the communication traffic jams. This session shows how an obsession with synchronization is what companies need to achieve speed, improved project success rates, and an improved employee experience. An obsession with synchronization will improve companies’ confidence in their projects and their people. An obsession with synchronization will improve the job market. An obsession with synchronization is a people-centric methodology. This session shows how small changes to familiar concepts shapes innovation teams to be obsessed with synchronization. These changes raise a team’s discipline and empathy, simplify messy project plans, and convert your organization’s communication traffic jams into an orchestra.
