I suoni saturi della steel guitar accompagnano ed intermezzano la voce in maniera consapevole.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">“La mmatine preste” è un perfetto conubium tra la cultura e la lingua abruzzese mescolata al Blues radicale da saloon. A Tratti rockeggiante, la saturazione della chitarra esplode in questa ballata sofferente fatta di vita “dura”.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Il lato A del disco si chiude con “Bucami il corpo” scritta a quattro mani con il bassista Roughmax.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Scarna ed essenziale, segna un netto confine con la B side del disco.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm"> </p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">La side B si apre con un sound tipico del delta blues “Voglio te”. Petricca riesce inesorabilmente a mescolare il suo vissuto trasferendolo alla chitarra slider.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">“Nessuno la vide partire” rientra a pieno titolo nelle ballads sofferenti e vissute.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">“Baricentro” scritta anch' essa a quattro mani con Maxrought aggiunge ritmo ad un disco quasi autobiografico dove la vita del bluesman viene riflessa nei riff “forti” della slider.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">“Nulla cambierà” altra ballads senza censure, senza “fregarsene” di quello che potrebbe pensare o dire la gente. “Perso nei ricordi cammino un po' più in la...seduto dentro un bar dietro le vetrine un vagabondo rutta e se ne va, vedo poi la gente intorno che come un fantasma si dissolve nel buio della notte”.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Il disco si chiude con “Baciami ancora” la ballad di chiusura con delle belle variazioni di accordi.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm"> </p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Nel disco hanno suonato Pierluigi Petricca (chitarra e voce), Gianluca Giannasso (batteria) e Roughmax al basso. Perché è importante la sua figura? Perché Giovanna Marini ha effettuato una ricerca meticolosa all' interno della musica popolare italiana. Non si è soffermata al fattore "musica", bensì ha indagato sul vissuto dei cantori, analizzando la loro figura sociale, umana e lavorativa. Oltre ad essere una etnomusicologa, la ritengo una grande sociologa. Lei con pochi altri ha ridato voce agli "ultimi" passando per la loro cultura e i loro sentimenti. Ha portato la musica popolare in Europa non fermandosi alle barriere culturali e politiche italiane del tempo stabilendo imprescindibilmente un confine tra cultura popolare e musica.
