<h7>Course Objectives:</h7>

ESSKA-EKA Course "All about TKA"  
This is a comprehensive 1½-day course covering principles and technique of knee arthroplasty for surgeons who would like to improve their skills and keep up with the advances in knee arthroplasty. All aspects of primary TKA, including exposure, alignment, ligament balancing, robotics, difficult knees, complications and postoperative
care are covered in a state of the art surgical training facility. Didactic lectures, sawbone workshops and one-on-one training on cadaveric specimens are provided by renowned ESSKA-EKA Faculty. Pre-course
on-line educational material is provided to all delegates. This course will be submitted for accreditation to the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) for European CME credits (ECMECs). The course is limited to 24 places.

The ESSKA Shoulder Instability Module Team will independently evaluate and score the applications. Based on their CV, the top 24 candidates will be selected for the module. In the case of equally strong candidates, the 'first-come first-served' principal

The purpose of this Certification Module is to equip participants with the background knowledge and practical skills required to undertake various Primary Arthroplasty procedures using state-of-the-art surgical techniques. This module is assessment
focused, as opposed to instructional. Whilst there are preparatory materials, the in-person assessment will not be instructional, rather it is a benchmarking assessment to certify the participant's current standards.

Orthopaedic specialists with an interest in Primary Arthroplasty surgery who have completed their speciality training, and who conduct arthroscopic and open shoulder surgeries on a regular basis. This module is not for novice specialists, nor is it
for residents.

The Primary Arthroplasty Module Team will independently evaluate and score the applications. Based on their CV, the top 24 candidates will be selected for the module. In the case of equally strong candidates, the 'first-come first-served' principal

Course Information  
This meticulously designed meeting, led by renowned European experts in the field of partial knee arthroplasty will foster extensive discussions and interactions between faculty members and participants. Participants will have the opportunity to learn surgical techniques, gain hands-on experience, and exchange valuable insights through workshops and presentations. The course will consist of two distinct parts:


Day 1: Theoretical part
Immerse yourself in the latest advancements and perspectives on partial knee arthroplasty through thought-provoking presentations and engaging discussions.
Day 2: Hands-on Cadaver Course
Gain practical experience in partial knee arthroplasty using a variety of tools and materials including human specimens, sawbones, and various systems, including robotics. Enhance your surgical techniques and refine your patient management strategies.
This course will be submitted for accreditation to the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) for European CME credits (ECMECs). The full cadaver course is limited to 25 places.

The three chosen Fellows, accompanied by a ‘godfather’, will travel extensively in the US and Canada for three weeks. 

They take part in scientific symposia with their hosts, become familiar with their research facilities and surgical procedures, attend a national sports medicine meeting, and enjoy the local culture. 

The Fellowship covers travel, accommodation and minor expenses. 

It is sponsored by ENOVIS, whom we thank for their loyal support.

<h7>Do you qualify for this fellowship?</h7>
To qualify, you must: 
<ul>
<li>be a certified orthopaedic in your own country</li>
<li>be under 45 at point of application</li>
<li>speak English fluently</li>
<li>be a European citizen</li>
<li>make yourself available for the duration of the Fellowship</li>
<li>submit a written report at the end of the programme</li>
<li>not have held this fellowship before</li>
<li>be an ESSKA member for at least one year before applying</li>
