31.

Upon getting information about an upcoming school science fair and the need to consider a topic of interest, many students will typically have no idea where to get started. While the science fair is typically a common occurrence in any school at any grade level, there are different types of topics that should be taken a look at depending on the age of the student. After first taking a look at the many different categories of science projects, you will be able to locate a suitable choice of topic to take to the next level. There is a wide variety of categories that fall under the types of science projects that can be chosen for a school science fair. These include biology, chemistry, physics, microbiology, biochemistry, medicine, environmental, mathematics, engineering, and earth science. While you may not have yet learned very much in any of these categories, don’t be afraid to see what each one entails. Taking a good look at your interests will allow you to focus on the right direction to take. Many resources are also available for those who are unsure as to the topic they are wanting to use to create their science projects. If you take a look at the topics that fall under the biology category, you will likely notice that there are topics that deal with plants, animals, and humans. For those who are in 2nd grade or 3rd grade, an interesting topic may be to determine if ants are picky over what type of food they eat. While this topic might not be of interest to an 8th grader, it is certainly something in the biology category that an elementary school student would enjoy.Along with the biology category, a high school student may want to take a look at diffusion and osmosis in animal cells as this would be a more appropriate topic for the grade level. A student in 6th grade would be more advanced than an elementary school student, but not as advanced as a high school student. At this middle school grade level, a topic of how pH levels effect the lifespan of a tadpole may be of interest.Whichever resource is used to locate a topic for science projects, it is always a good idea to consider the grade level of the student prior to making a selection. It is always assumed to be best to have a project at an appropriate level in order to keep the attention of the student and provide a fun and enjoyable learning experience.

  46.

One of the best ways to make the most of your valuable working time is to use outsourcing as a means of completing some of the essential tasks of your E-Commerce business. Whether you are buying or selling office supplies, performing services, or are running a clothing business, you are sure to need vendors who can fulfill your orders in a timely, professional and exceptional manner. Choosing a fulfillment company is just as important as choosing managers to help run your company. They will be the backbone of your E-commerce business. If your E-commerce has grown to a point where you are spending too much time fulfilling orders and packing and shipping, it is likely time to invest in an order fulfillment company. Not only can they help in the shipping process, but they can also assist in liquidating inventory in your office space, making for more room and organization for your business. Not only will they do the packing and shipping for you, but fulfillment companies will often take care to monitor your inventory as well as keep you up to date on your Internet sales. Many Internet fulfillment companies feature top notch service and 24 hour guarantees. When you decide to take the next step in business with the E-commerce company you have successfully set up, you should choose which vendors for your E-commerce order fulfillment will best fulfill your needs.Since order fulfillment is a fundamental aspect of running a successful and respected E-commerce business, you should choose a well developed and widely respected order fulfillment company. Start by making a list of the features that you want your fulfillment center to incorporate. Once you determine which companies will meet your business’ needs today and in the future, do research on the companies that you find. Many companies which want your business will gladly offer testimonials from other clients. Do the follow up work and contact these customers yourself for an unbiased opinion of the order fulfillment company. Choose a company with an exceptionally short turnover time. It should never take longer than 24 hours, in most cases, for orders to be fulfilled. Many reputable order fulfillment companies will guarantee their processing times, ensuring your customer satisfaction. 3Always opt for a company that will allow you to store all of your merchandise on their property. For small business owners, being able to store inventory offsite means more availability and more products since there are no storage space limitations. Make sure that the fulfillment vendor you choose offers real-time tracking of your orders. Both you and the vendor should be able to view the status of the order through the Internet at all times. When you choose the best vendor possible for your E-commerce order fulfillment, you are creating more time to spend on the nuts and bolts of your Internet based business. You can spend your time enhancing your website, promoting your product or service or even adding valuable products to your inventory. If you choose the right one, your order fulfillment company will enable you in more ways than you can imagine!
kalipakem.com<a style="display:none;" target="_blank" 61.

Over the past 20 years, many small businesses have begun to insure their own risks through a product called “Captive Insurance.” Small captives (also known as single-parent captives) are insurance companies established by the owners of closely held businesses looking to insure risks that are either too costly or too difficult to insure through the traditional insurance marketplace. Brad Barros, an expert in the field of captive insurance, explains how “all captives are treated as corporations and must be managed in a method consistent with rules established with both the IRS and the appropriate insurance regulator.”According to Barros, often single parent captives are owned by a trust, partnership or other structure established by the premium payer or his family. When properly designed and administered, a business can make tax-deductible premium payments to their related-party insurance company. Depending on circumstances, underwriting profits, if any, can be paid out to the owners as dividends, and profits from liquidation of the company may be taxed at capital gains.Premium payers and their captives may garner tax benefits only when the captive operates as a real insurance company. Alternatively, advisers and business owners who use captives as estate planning tools, asset protection vehicles, tax deferral or other benefits not related to the true business purpose of an insurance company may face grave regulatory and tax consequences. Many captive insurance companies are often formed by US businesses in jurisdictions outside of the United States. The reason for this is that foreign jurisdictions offer lower costs and greater flexibility than their US counterparts. As a rule, US businesses can use foreign-based insurance companies so long as the jurisdiction meets the insurance regulatory standards required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).There are several notable foreign jurisdictions whose insurance regulations are recognized as safe and effective. These include Bermuda and St. Lucia. Bermuda, while more expensive than other jurisdictions, is home to many of the largest insurance companies in the world. St. Lucia, a more reasonably priced location for smaller captives, is noteworthy for statutes that are both progressive and compliant. St. Lucia is also acclaimed for recently passing “Incorporated Cell” legislation, modeled after similar statutes in Washington, DC.Common Captive Insurance Abuses; While captives remain highly beneficial to many businesses, some industry professionals have begun to improperly market and misuse these structures for purposes other than those intended by Congress. The abuses include the following:1. Improper risk shifting and risk distribution, aka “Bogus Risk Pools”2. High deductibles in captive-pooled arrangements; Re insuring captives through private placement variable life insurance schemes3. Improper marketing4. Inappropriate life insurance integrationMeeting the high standards imposed by the IRS and local insurance regulators can be a complex and expensive proposition and should only be done with the assistance of competent and experienced counsel. The ramifications of failing to be an insurance company can be devastating and may include the following penalties:1. Loss of all deductions on premiums received by the insurance company2. Loss of all deductions from the premium payer3. Forced distribution or liquidation of all assets from the insurance company effectuating additional taxes for capital gains or dividends4. Potential adverse tax treatment as a Controlled Foreign Corporation5. Potential adverse tax treatment as a Personal Foreign Holding Company (PFHC)6. Potential regulatory penalties imposed by the insuring jurisdiction7. Potential penalties and interest imposed by the IRS.All in all, the tax consequences may be greater than 100% of the premiums paid to the captive. In addition, attorneys, CPA’s wealth advisors and their clients may be treated as tax shelter promoters by the IRS, causing fines as great as $100,000 or more per transaction.Clearly, establishing a captive insurance company is not something that should be taken lightly. It is critical that businesses seeking to establish a captive work with competent attorneys and accountants who have the requisite knowledge and experience necessary to avoid the pitfalls associated with abusive or poorly designed insurance structures. A general rule of thumb is that a captive insurance product should have a legal opinion covering the essential elements of the program. It is well recognized that the opinion should be provided by an independent, regional or national law firm.Risk Shifting and Risk Distribution Abuses; Two key elements of insurance are those of shifting risk from the insured party to others (risk shifting) and subsequently allocating risk amongst a large pool of insured’s (risk distribution). After many years of litigation, in 2005 the IRS released a Revenue Ruling (2005-40) describing the essential elements required in order to meet risk shifting and distribution requirements. For those who are self-insured, the use of the captive structure approved in Rev. Ruling 2005-40 has two advantages. First, the parent does not have to share risks with any other parties. In Ruling 2005-40, the IRS announced that the risks can be shared within the same economic family as long as the separate subsidiary companies ( a minimum of 7 are required) are formed for non-tax business reasons, and that the separateness of these subsidiaries also has a business reason. Furthermore, “risk distribution” is afforded so long as no insured subsidiary has provided more than 15% or less than 5% of the premiums held by the captive. Second, the special provisions of insurance law allowing captives to take a current deduction for an estimate of future losses, and in some circumstances shelter the income earned on the investment of the reserves, reduces the cash flow needed to fund future claims from about 25% to nearly 50%. In other words, a well-designed captive that meets the requirements of 2005-40 can bring about a cost savings of 25% or more. While some businesses can meet the requirements of 2005-40 within their own pool of related entities, most privately held companies cannot. Therefore, it is common for captives to purchase “third party risk” from other insurance companies, often spending 4% to 8% per year on the amount of coverage necessary to meet the IRS requirements. One of the essential elements of the purchased risk is that there is a reasonable likelihood of loss. Because of this exposure, some promoters have attempted to circumvent the intention of Revenue Ruling 2005-40 by directing their clients into “bogus risk pools.” In this somewhat common scenario, an attorney or other promoter will have 10 or more of their clients’ captives enter into a collective risk-sharing agreement. Included in the agreement is a written or unwritten agreement not to make claims on the pool. The clients like this arrangement because they get all of the tax benefits of owning a captive insurance company without the risk associated with insurance. Unfortunately for these businesses, the IRS views these types of arrangements as something other than insurance.Risk sharing agreements such as these are considered without merit and should be avoided at all costs. They amount to nothing more than a glorified pretax savings account. If it can be shown that a risk pool is bogus, the protective tax status of the captive can be denied and the severe tax ramifications described above will be enforced. It is well known that the IRS looks at arrangements between owners of captives with great suspicion. The gold standard in the industry is to purchase third party risk from an insurance company. Anything less opens the door to potentially catastrophic consequences.Abusively High Deductibles; Some promoters sell captives, and then have their captives participate in a large risk pool with a high deductible. Most losses fall within the deductible and are paid by the captive, not the risk pool. These promoters may advise their clients that since the deductible is so high, there is no real likelihood of third party claims. The problem with this type of arrangement is that the deductible is so high that the captive fails to meet the standards set forth by the IRS. The captive looks more like a sophisticated pre tax savings account: not an insurance company.A separate concern is that the clients may be advised that they can deduct all their premiums paid into the risk pool. In the case where the risk pool has few or no claims (compared to the losses retained by the participating captives using a high deductible), the premiums allocated to the risk pool are simply too high. If claims don’t occur, then premiums should be reduced. In this scenario, if challenged, the IRS will disallow the deduction made by the captive for unnecessary premiums ceded to the risk pool. The IRS may also treat the captive as something other than an insurance company because it did not meet the standards set forth in 2005-40 and previous related rulings.Private Placement Variable Life Reinsurance Schemes; Over the years promoters have attempted to create captive solutions designed to provide abusive tax free benefits or “exit strategies” from captives. One of the more popular schemes is where a business establishes or works with a captive insurance company, and then remits to a Reinsurance Company that portion of the premium commensurate with the portion of the risk re-insured.Typically, the Reinsurance Company is wholly-owned by a foreign life insurance company. The legal owner of the reinsurance cell is a foreign property and casualty insurance company that is not subject to U.S. income taxation. Practically, ownership of the Reinsurance Company can be traced to the cash value of a life insurance policy a foreign life insurance company issued to the principal owner of the Business, or a related party, and which insures the principle owner or a related party.1. The IRS may apply the sham-transaction doctrine.2. The IRS may challenge the use of a reinsurance agreement as an improper attempt to divert income from a taxable entity to a tax-exempt entity and will reallocate income.3. The life insurance policy issued to the Company may not qualify as life insurance for U.S. Federal income tax purposes because it violates the investor control restrictions.Investor Control; The IRS has reiterated in its published revenue rulings, its private letter rulings, and its other administrative pronouncements, that the owner of a life insurance policy will be considered the income tax owner of the assets legally owned by the life insurance policy if the policy owner possesses “incidents of ownership” in those assets. Generally, in order for the life insurance company to be considered the owner of the assets in a separate account, control over individual investment decisions must not be in the hands of the policy owner. The IRS prohibits the policy owner, or a party related to the policy holder, from having any right, either directly or indirectly, to require the insurance company, or the separate account, to acquire any particular asset with the funds in the separate account. In effect, the policy owner cannot tell the life insurance company what particular assets to invest in. And, the IRS has announced that there cannot be any prearranged plan or oral understanding as to what specific assets can be invested in by the separate account (commonly referred to as “indirect investor control”). And, in a continuing series of private letter rulings, the IRS consistently applies a look-through approach with respect to investments made by separate accounts of life insurance policies to find indirect investor control. Recently, the IRS issued published guidelines on when the investor control restriction is violated. This guidance discusses reasonable and unreasonable levels of policy owner participation, thereby establishing safe harbors and impermissible levels of investor control. The ultimate factual determination is straight-forward. Any court will ask whether there was an understanding, be it orally communicated or tacitly understood, that the separate account of the life insurance policy will invest its funds in a reinsurance company that issued reinsurance for a property and casualty policy that insured the risks of a business where the life insurance policy owner and the person insured under the life insurance policy are related to or are the same person as the owner of the business deducting the payment of the property and casualty insurance premiums? If this can be answered in the affirmative, then the IRS should be able to successfully convince the Tax Court that the investor control restriction is violated. It then follows that the income earned by the life insurance policy is taxable to the life insurance policy owner as it is earned. The investor control restriction is violated in the structure described above as these schemes generally provide that the Reinsurance Company will be owned by the segregated account of a life insurance policy insuring the life of the owner of the Business of a person related to the owner of the Business. If one draws a circle, all of the monies paid as premiums by the Business cannot become available for unrelated, third-parties. Therefore, any court looking at this structure could easily conclude that each step in the structure was prearranged, and that the investor control restriction is violated.Suffice it to say that the IRS announced in Notice 2002-70, 2002-2 C.B. 765, that it would apply both the sham transaction doctrine and ยงยง 482 or 845 to reallocate income from a non-taxable entity to a taxable entity to situations involving property and casualty reinsurance arrangements similar to the described reinsurance structure.Even if the property and casualty premiums are reasonable and satisfy the risk sharing and risk distribution requirements so that the payment of these premiums is deductible in full for U.S. income tax purposes, the ability of the Business to currently deduct its premium payments on its U.S. income tax returns is entirely separate from the question of whether the life insurance policy qualifies as life insurance for U.S. income tax purposes.Inappropriate Marketing; One of the ways in which captives are sold is through aggressive marketing designed to highlight benefits other than real business purpose. Captives are corporations. As such, they can offer valuable planning opportunities to shareholders. However, any potential benefits, including asset protection, estate planning, tax advantaged investing, etc., must be secondary to the real business purpose of the insurance company.Recently, a large regional bank began offering “business and estate planning captives” to customers of their trust department. Again, a rule of thumb with captives is that they must operate as real insurance companies. Real insurance companies sell insurance, not “estate planning” benefits. The IRS may use abusive sales promotion materials from a promoter to deny the compliance and subsequent deductions related to a captive. Given the substantial risks associated with improper promotion, a safe bet is to only work with captive promoters whose sales materials focus on captive insurance company ownership; not estate, asset protection and investment planning benefits. Better still would be for a promoter to have a large and independent regional or national law firm review their materials for compliance and confirm in writing that the materials meet the standards set forth by the IRS.The IRS can look back several years to abusive materials, and then suspecting that a promoter is marketing an abusive tax shelter, begin a costly and potentially devastating examination of the insured’s and marketers.Abusive Life Insurance Arrangements; A recent concern is the integration of small captives with life insurance policies. Small captives treated under section 831(b) have no statutory authority to deduct life premiums. Also, if a small captive uses life insurance as an investment, the cash value of the life policy can be taxable to the captive, and then be taxable again when distributed to the ultimate beneficial owner. The consequence of this double taxation is to devastate the efficacy of the life insurance and, it extends serious levels of liability to any accountant recommends the plan or even signs the tax return of the business that pays premiums to the captive. The IRS is aware that several large insurance companies are promoting their life insurance policies as investments with small captives. The outcome looks eerily like that of the thousands of 419 and 412(I) plans that are currently under audit. All in all Captive insurance arrangements can be tremendously beneficial. Unlike in the past, there are now clear rules and case histories defining what constitutes a properly designed, marketed and managed insurance company. Unfortunately, some promoters abuse, bend and twist the rules in order to sell more captives. Often, the business owner who is purchasing a captive is unaware of the enormous risk he or she faces because the promoter acted improperly. Sadly, it is the insured and the beneficial owner of the captive who face painful consequences when their insurance company is deemed to be abusive or non-compliant. The captive industry has skilled professionals providing compliant services. Better to use an expert supported by a major law firm than a slick promoter who sells something that sounds too good to be true.

  76.

Transition from a JOB to Network Marketing Can Be ChallengingIf you ask a large number of people to create their ultimate business or career in detail, listing the specific things they would like to have and things they would like to avoid, they would most likely have lists that look similar to the ones below:LikesPositive atmosphere – Great product/service – Unlimited income – Residual income – Enjoy the people with whom you work – Time freedom – Work is something meaningful – Room for personal growth – Lots of perks – International opportunities – Contribution to worthy causes – Low risk – Low start-up costs – Economy-proof – Tax benefits – Fun!DislikesBoss – Commuting – Alarm clocks – Work schedules – Other employees – Politics, cliques, & compromises – Discrimination – Educational requirements – Lack of benefits – Lack of training – Lack of advancement – Lack of appreciation/respect – Lack of challenge – Lack of support – Not enough pay – Don’t enjoy work duties – No fun!Since most of us already know what a JOB is, I would also like to explain what Network Marketing is (and isn’t), so we are absolutely clear about our subject. We will begin this overview with a definition of some of the basic marketing terms:Marketing:Simply means the moving of a product/service from the manufacturer or provider to the consumer.Retail Sales:This is what most people think of as ‘selling’. This is includes product sales from retail stores, groceries, department stores, drug stores, etc.Direct Sales:This usually includes product or service demonstrations or door-to-door sales for items such as insurance, cookware, encyclopedias, Fuller Brush, Avon products, as well as home parties for things such as Tupperware, jewelry, scrapbooking, etc. Direct sales may also be done by mail order. With direct selling companies, you work for that company. If you decide to quit and move to another area, you have to start all over.Network Marketing:This type of marketing is sometimes referred to as ‘Multi-level Marketing’ (MLM). It is all about moving products and services by building relationships with others (networking). The main difference in Network Marketing and the other types of sales above is that in Network Marketing, you are in business for yourself… not by yourself… providing products and/or services to others. If you choose to build this type of business with the company who sponsored you, in most cases if you move to another area you can resume building your network without losing the volume of the group that you left behind. In most Network Marketing companies, you are either buying products and/or services from the company you represent at wholesale prices and then providing them to your customers at a retail price (the difference being your profit), OR you are personally trying the products/services yourself and then sharing their benefits with others. Then they can purchase them through your company… usually at a lower price than they are currently paying. You are then paid a percentage on your use as well as on their continued use of those products/services.When you build your own business by sponsoring and training other motivated persons like yourself, you build a ‘network’ through which to channel the movement of your products and/or services. The money made in this type of opportunity can be life-changing and is primarily made through the network-building activities. But large bonuses and outstanding residual income also comes from the product and service offerings. You get paid over and over for products/services you only had to provide once! Note: if you are operating out of your home, there can also be substantial tax breaks.Multi-level Marketing (MLM):This is the older term previously used for what is now referred to as Network Marketing above. It refers to a system of compensation provided to persons on more than one level who are causing the product to move or the service to be provided. (Some of the illegal ‘pyramid schemes’ discussed below and chain distribution schemes/letters have tried to pass themselves off as MLM companies, which has created a great amount of confusion and incorrect assumptions.)Pyramid Scheme:Most Network Marketing opportunities are NOT ‘pyramid schemes’. Pyramid schemes are illegal and do not include the movement of either products or services. If a product doesn’t move, you can’t call it ‘marketing’.View of Pyramid vs. Network Marketing:PyramidMost companies who manufacture a product or provide a service are built and organized in the pyramid shape. The manufacturer/provider is at the top of the pyramid, the sales force is in the middle, and customers are at the bottom. The difference in Pyramid Marketing is not so much that it is built from the top down, as the fact that there is no manufacturing or service at the top and no customer base at the bottom. There is only the person who started the company at the top, and those who are under that person are hired and paid only to recruit other recruiters. Since there are no products and/or services, there are no customers and no value received (other than recruiting bonuses).Network Marketing (or MLM):Network Marketing/MLM companies have the same shape and functions as most of those companies above, but in Network Marketing, there is always the movement of either products, services (or both) to the customer, who receives the value of those products/services. Network Marketing is all about moving products and services by building relationships with other people (networking). Network Marketing is a huge business opportunity and has been in our midst for about 35 years. They wouldn’t have been around at all if they were illegal! Some companies that have been around for twenty years or so earned $2 million to $15 million in their first year or two and are planning to do a billion dollars per year in the future. You can begin to see how the right opportunity with the right company could be the road to financial independence!I do feel that it’s only fair to tell you that opportunities such as these are NOT ‘get rich quick’ schemes. These opportunities require that you have the following traits, at a minimum:- Motivation – You must have a very large motivator or goalWhat is your ‘Why’? Why do you want to succeed? What do you want out of life?… and out of this opportunity? Are your reasons strong enough to keep those spirits up when you get discouraged… as we all do from time to time?- A desire to make a difference by helping others make a difference- You must be ‘coachable’ with a desire and willingness to learn. Your sponsors will always be there to help you whenever you need help, but you must also help yourself by listening and learning daily- You must have confidence and believe in yourself, your company, your sponsor, and your services and products. (Everybody knows that ‘if you think you can’t do it, you can’t')- You must maintain a positive helpful attitude… that shows from the inside out… in order to be truly helpful to your customers and those you are teaching (‘Negative Nellies’ don’t do very well in this business… especially since your business is built on a foundation of relationships!Doctors, lawyers, and attorneys (to name a few) spend years & years after graduating from college to learn their professions. Though the profession of Network Marketing does not take as much time and effort to learn, you must realize that it cannot be learned overnight. You can’t get discouraged after only a few weeks! You will have sponsors helping you every step of the way, but you must study both the network marketing concept and study your company’s products/services to be able to succeed in this business. To be truly successful, you must also be able to teach someone else the same things that you learned in order to help them be more successful. Previous teachers and educators have, in some cases, been more successful in Network Marketing than previous sales professionals. Most of the people in typical jobs can relate to the amount of freedom that being in Network Marketing could provide on a full-time basis (see the ‘Likes’ list at the beginning of this article), but most are only able to start part-time. The quicker you make the move, the faster you eliminate the ‘Dislikes’ items and begin to achieve the freedoms you deserve. The best way to not just survive, but to thrive in this economy, is through Network Marketing. Companies still must move their products and services. They either have to hire a large, expensive sales force and pay for massive, costly advertising, or utilize Network Marketing to tell their story by word-of-mouth. They can provide support and pay distributors/representatives on a purely performance basis to promote their products. In this economy, word-of-mouth advertising continues to work better than any other form of promotion. The ‘Catch’ to Network Marketing is learning to accept a temporary loss of social esteem from uninformed people who don’t fully understand the relatively new concept of relationship marketing. People will think less of you not only because they are ‘stuck’ in the old way of doing business, but because of what they have heard from their friends/acquaintances to be true about ‘Network Marketing’ or ‘MLM opportunities’. These pre-conceived beliefs have taught them to think of Network Marketing as a sort of glorified lottery ticket with scratch off numbers representing the friends & family that they think ‘might be good at this sort of thing’. When their numbers don’t win, they give up, and end with nothing… just like a lottery ticket. Those who didn’t take this opportunity seriously usually have told their friends: ‘Look, I’ve been there. I’ve done it. I talked to every person I know, and Network Marketing just doesn’t work. Save your money!” This becomes another lost opportunity probably because they didn’t look at it as though they were learning a new profession or starting a new business. They were just hoping to ‘get lucky’.The other objection you will likely hear is: ‘Don’t get involved with that. It’s a ‘Pyramid Scheme’.” They may or may not know that pyramid schemes are illegal. They probably are not aware that Network Marketing would not have been flourishing for the last 35 years if it were illegal. They also probably don’t realize that the pyramid’s shape and framework can describe most all businesses. Only the companies with no products, services, or customers, where the distributors/representatives of that company receive income only for recruiting other recruiters are typically in the category of ‘Pyramid Schemes’.If you can deal with (and learn to welcome the challenge of) the rejection from the people who have these misconception of Network Marketing, then companies will pay you an unlimited amount of money if you can learn to help the blind people see. If you decide to embrace Network Marketing, along with its inherent problems, then you need to learn to be a professional in the field. Below are some of the phases of Network Marketing.Posers – those who treat this profession as a lottery ticket… hoping to ‘hit it big’ with as little effort as possible. You may start in this position, but if you are still there after 90 days, you had better ‘make a new plan, Stan!’Amateurs – they focus on different things, though still a lot of focus is on ‘luck’ – looking for that one sign-up that will make you rich. The other focus is on timing, positioning, training, and shortcuts. Basically, all quick marketing tactics are learned and utilized.Professionals – Wikipedia definition: A person who is paid to undertake a specialized set of tasks and to complete them for a fee. The possible definition of a Network Marketing Professional is: A person who is an expert at the skills required to build a large and successful Network Marketing organization.Excitement & passion are wonderful and very necessary, but so is professional knowledge and skill. You must know all aspects of not only the products/services you represent, the industry of your products/services, but how to best operate in the Network Marketing profession as well.It has been said that there are 3 elements to a Network Marketing business:1. Company’s products and/or services2. Company’s compensation plan, training, & support3. YOUThe first two elements remain the same for everyone, so the only variable that can cause either success or failure is the third element – YOU! Becoming a professional means deciding to never blame anyone or anything else for your failures. Accept responsibility for what only YOU create. Use your company as a resource… never as an excuse. When starting in Network Marketing, according to Eric Worre’s “Go Pro’, there are seven skills necessary to build a huge business:1. Finding prospects2. Inviting prospects to understand your opportunity and/or product3. Presenting your opportunity/product to your prospects4. Following up with your prospects5. Helping your prospects become individual business owners/representatives (or to become customers, if they are not interested in the opportunity)6. Helping your new IBO/Rep get started right by mentoring them7. Promoting eventsEveryone has heard the saying: ‘Anything worthwhile takes time’. This is true in Network Marketing just as it is in any other business. This is not a ‘get rich quick’ scheme. If a person starts a traditional business, they expect to break even in their first few years and possibly pay back their initial investment over the first 5 years. When a person starts a Network Marketing business, they expect to get their money back in the first month, make a profit in the second month, and get rich by the third month. When that doesn’t happen, which is quite often the case, they blame Network Marketing. We DO have a better way to build a business, but it does not have a ‘magic formula’. Anything of value takes time to develop. You have to personally grow to the level you want to achieve. Watch those who have succeeded, learn from them whenever possible, and model their behavior. To earn more, you need to become more. Work on your skills and quit depending on luck, timing, or positioning. Don’t try to re-invent the wheel. The training and systems that your company has in place & uses daily are there for a reason: they have been proven to work. Find people in your company who have mastered the skills that you are lacking and watch them or ask for help directly. Study the many audio and video programs dealing with being successful in Network Marketing (try some Jim Rohn tapes). With all of the information available on this subject, it is very difficult not to get distracted and forget your main mission of finding prospects, inviting, presenting, following up, closing, getting people started right, and promoting events. Find a balance between the learning and doing… if you spend all of your time learning, no prospects get added, no product/services are moved, and you make no money! If you want to learn how to talk to people on the phone, then talk to more people on the phone. Don’t wait until you have complete knowledge of something before you attempt it. Action should be the center of your focus. Focus on how MANY learning experiences you can have, rather than focusing on whether they were ‘good’ or ‘bad’ experiences. The more experiences you have, the more you learn.Choose a skill you want to develop, make a plan, do your plan, then review your results for future improvement. As luck would have it, teaching a subject is the best way to learn it, so start by teaching all you have learned to your new individual business owners/representatives, and see how fast you can help bring them get up to speed in this new profession. It will help them while it helps you!Watch the type of people with whom you associate – especially in the beginning phases of learning the business. Jim Rohn teaches the ‘Law of Association’, which basically says that you will become the average of the 5 people with whom you spend the most time. You think, act, talk, dress, and even earn as they do. This can be scary… but it is true! Get away from toxic people around you or they will permanently try to keep you down. Spend more time with positive people who have similar dreams and goals and those who have the skills and knowledge that you feel are necessary for you to learn. In summary, we all ultimately have the choice of staying in a JOB and fulfilling someone else’s dreams, or accepting the challenges of learning a new way to achieve our dreams (and some of us have put that off for far too long!). Don’t let anyone kid you… this is not a decision to be taken lightly! The emotional experiences of Network Marketing can be challenging. It requires HARD work, consistency, focus, and patience to achieve and maintain long-term success, rather than luck, timing, positioning, or signing that ‘magic’ person. Though this may be hard work, it is good work that helps people achieve their dreams, and is the best way that I know for the average person to enjoy financial freedom. When you have a clear picture of what this freedom is like, you will find that the price you have to pay to achieve this freedom with Network Marketing is very low. When you help others achieve this kind of freedom, it is TRULY rewarding! You have the ability to help people see a bigger picture of themselves and help them change their lives. With Network Marketing you can really ‘make a difference’!

  91.

Having just started to use internet marketing in our own business and trying to bring together all the different components to deliver a set of desired outcomes, we have discovered it is not a simple task. We have created a huge amount of online content from websites, blog sites, micro-blogging, and social media network participation. But and it is a big but, how do you convert all this activity (or lack of it) into a coherent message that brings visitors to your target online content and transcends to registrations and / or sales? To be honest we have been merrily creating web content, accounts on twitter, Facebook pages, blogs and regularly posting but without paying specific attention to the direction or the message. This has been a conscious choice on our part as we were not ready to join everything up yet, so we just started by increasing our online profile until we were set to go. I think this is one of the big hurdles for most people entering Internet Marketing at any level is… why am I doing this? Why am I posting content onto Blogs, twittering, when no one is visiting anyway? I’m not reading my other 1000 followers tweets, so I am sure they are not reading mine! If I’m the only one ready what I’m writing I’d sooner not bother! 2 Blog posts a day, why? for what? What am I going to say? What difference will it make?We expect those new to Internet Marketing to blindly accept that ‘you should get a blog, you should use Twitter and join Facebook… trust me… you will see the benefit, later on everything will be much clearer…’Here then is the issue… of course signing up to these services, Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Linked in or any other social media platform is not in itself going to make any difference to a business. Just the same as printing some leaflets for a mailshot and leaving them in the garage, or attending networking meetings and not talking to anyone, these won’t make much impact either. The facts are that Internet Marketing is a complex business. It performs the functions of building individual’s profiles and credibility, Brand awareness and product / service sales via one medium. Each of these areas requires different techniques, services and strategies online, but you can’t go about this in a half baked, apathetic manner. Internet Marketing has the ability to transform businesses, enable small companies to compete with the ‘big boys’ and build new enterprises from nothing but not by making one blog post a week, the odd twitter tweet now and then and complaining that sales haven’t increased yet!So what is the reality? The reality is this, that Internet marketing provides the ability to reach 100,000′s of people and quickly, but it won’t happen without effort… A LOT OF IT!Most Small Business’s are owned privately, very often by the entrepreneur who found a niche, designed a new product or took advantage of an opportunity. These individuals are often technical people and suffer from the old ‘Feast and Famine’ syndrome that finds refuge in Micro and small businesses. When we’re in Sales mode we are extremely busy, when servicing customers, prospects dry up… then we’re found scratching around for business again which happens, eventually, months after we needed it.Now typical business owners don’t think of themselves as sales people and will readily admit they don’t like this part of the business and yet without it the business can’t survive. I’ve heard many a business owner admit they are not sales people, ‘I’m basically too honest to be a sales person’ as if a sales person’s role was to somehow convince someone to buy a product they don’t need and don’t want. Well, let us now separate Marketing from Sales.Marketing is encouraging people to consider your products and services… visitors if you like, whereas Sales is the matching of the customers requirements to your offerings. At no point in this is there any persuasion or manipulation… better still, much of this sales process can be automated with Internet Marketing. Marketing requires an audience to market too… sales requires us to provide information, substantiate our offering and provide a method to engage with us.You will hear this time and time again with the Internet Marketing crowd… ‘the money is in the list!’ and if we are to market successfully then having a list to inform on a regular basis is absolutely essential. If we apply this to offline marketing, most of the hard work in sending out a mailshot was creating a quality list of people in the first place… our target audience! If we are to engage the services of a Direct Marketing company for a telephone campaign… at some point before this a list must be found, either from an existing database or bought from an organisation specialising in such Lists, the higher the quality the better. So let us now see what relevance our Online – Internet Marketing activities have in identifying a target market. Consider Facebook, Linked-in, Twitter, Blog subscribers and Registrations for an ezine or other regular communication… what are these? They are lists of course! lists of people who in some way have connected with you and are probably comfortable to receive correspondence from you or your business. Herein lies the secret then behind why we should bother at all to seek people out, follow and be followed. List building… and the good news is that it can be quite good fun too!Now in our business we have 5 main products offerings… some of these products have an overlapping potential audience, others do not. It may be necessary therefore to have multiple accounts for Twitter and / or a separate Facebook page for the different audience. Already you can see that if we are to manage, maintain and post for each product on a regular basis (desirable) then this is a substantial amount of work. One of the difficulties that some of my colleagues have with building a large list of friends or followers is, ‘How can you possibly keep in touch with all these people?, I struggle to stay in touch with my immediate relatives’ and for sure, personally corresponding with 60,000 people is not viable… but this is not the point. These social sites represent a massive network of interconnected people, you are not necessarily communicating on a 1-2-1 basis (although you can do this) but rather are broadcasting what you want to say to everyone who is connected and often to their immediate connections as well!! Suddenly we have the ability to get a message to a very large audience with a single post. Now… most people certainly with Twitter won’t see your post, and a good many won’t in Facebook or Linked-In either, however this is not an issue. It is not our problem to worry about who will see our posting or not, that is not our responsibility and we should avoid getting attached to the outcome. Our role is to provide the information (post), that is it… Now there is a magic number in marketing and sales this is 3%. This little number is very important. It is the recognised average response rate in a cold market… sometimes it can be more, often less. If we sent out 1000 mailshots then it would be acceptable to set a benchmark of 30 as the number of positive responses. This is about the same % that I have experienced in responses to click-through’s on Tweets and Facebook postings. Taking these numbers if we tweeted with a follower list of 30,000 then we could expect around 900 visits. We have absolutely no idea which ones will click the link… or tell a friend or retweet, however the figures can be quite staggering… Imagine if you worked with other ‘Big List’ owners and offered a percentage to tweet to their lists… and you did this 3 times per day… the number of visits could become very large indeed. The lists provide us with a ‘potential market’ for our products and the purpose of this article is not to go into the detailed techniques for building lists, only that it should be very high up on the list of priorities. So how much time, money and effort should be put into this exercise? The answer to this question depends on the nature of a business, the ideal customer profile and many other factors, clearly a restaurant has a different set of requirements to someone selling a digital product (such as an ebook) globally. The first thing is to decide an Internet Marketing strategy which is complimentary to the business, once this is defined then the activities required become much clearer.Once the basic Architecture of the marketing is defined then comes the work and the Investment. If I look at our business as an example, we have invested in three key areas, Colateral, People and services. Lets look at what is involved in each of these -:CollateralWe have 5 blogs, 6 websites (some complex, some a single page), 7 Twitter accounts, Facebook (4 Business Pages), Linked-In, Ecademy, Hub Pages, StumbleUpon, Squidoo and other online social networking accounts, all these had to be set up, populated, and now managed on an ongoing basis. This is not something which can be done in 20 minutes per day. We have to work all of these resources on a regular basis to keep ourselves in the ‘Public eye’.PeopleWe have invested in 1 full time person, plus both myself and another member of staff allocate 3 or 4 hours per day to Internet Marketing activities. Firstly staff require training to use the tools that enable us to work our internet marketing, including analyze results. These resources manage our social networking sites, engage with our contacts frequently, update profiles as things change and post new content constantly. This cost alone is over $3000 per calendar month, developing and building our online presence.ServicesWe utilise a number of ‘helper’ services which are online and rented monthly, these include subscriptions to some Business Networks, Shopping cart and checkout services, Databases that contain sign-ups for ezines and regular communication, Membership platforms, Blogging services and many many more. None of these services are hugely expensive month on month but vital to continue our Online Marketing activities. In ConclusionBusiness Internet Marketing – Taking an offline business and using Internet Marketing techniques to increase sales utilises many of the techniques and tools that conventional Internet Marketing has developed and built over the past 8-10 years. We have all heard the stories of individuals with no overheads generating large monthly incomes without setting foot outside their door, but Internet Marketing is moving into a new phase, one where Offline Businesses will seek to engage the Internet to work for them.I speak with many Micro and Small businesses on a regular basis and most are oblivious to Internet Marketing and what it could do for them, whether this is because no one has yet bothered to show them, or there is a fear and reluctance to dance with the unknown, or a bit of both perhaps. One thing is for sure, Business Internet Marketing will be deployed by every business over the coming 10-20 years and it is set to be one of the largest markets worldwide. As we saw with offline marketing in the past where we had PR, Advertising and Marketing agencies, so we shall see the emergence of similar businesses offering Business Internet Marketing services. Traditional companies in this marketing space will need to evolve and offer a completely new range of services The print industry went through a similar metamorphosis some years back, when pre-press production moved entirely to computers and revolutionized the marketplace. As the Internet Marketing industry matures and the ‘Get Rich Quick’ mentality fades, successful Internet Marketers will bring a wealth of experience and begin to offer professional Business Internet Marketing solutions to Small and Medium sized businesses. Not shackled with the conventional trappings of offices the Business Internet Marketers will manage a network of global outsourced resources to deliver high quality, low cost Internet Market solutions. The services will include the whole range of activities from setting up infrastructure services such as Blogs or Shopping carts to transactional activities such as managing Twitter accounts, searching and posting tweets, finding / posting suitable blog posts, even writing articles and sending email campaigns.Without doubt we are on the edge of yet another evolution with the Internet. Some larger companies, such as IBM and Dell have already woken up to the power of using the Internet and Social networking to engage with a global audience, small businesses have been busy surviving the recession… but as the recovery gathers pace, I am sure that Business Internet Marketing will become an attractive proposition for many.

  115.

When most new businesses go about setting their pricing model, they generally:1. Look at what competitors are charging and set their price somewhere near that price point (usually below, which is most often a mistake)2. Determine how much money they’d like to make over a particular time period, determine how many projects they can handle during this time period and calculate how much they need to charge to reach their desired income level3. Undercut every company in America to get the “pipeline” flowingWhat I’m about to tell you, because you’ve most likely never heard it before, may strike you as odd and it may even anger some of you.All 3 of these methods are a waste of time! There is really only one smart way to come up with a pricing model, and that is by asking this one simple question:What are my target customers willing to pay?You see, by answering this one simple question, you are shifting your mind out of its “Me, I, Mine” mode into the mode that every forward-thinking business person should be in, “What do they want and how much are they willing to pay for it?”To take a step back for a second, to realize how often we are in “I, Me, Mine” mode, lets take a look at the very nucleus of most businesses: deciding what products or services to offer. All too often, I see clients who have gone into business to provide a product or service that, for whatever reason, they really wanted to provide. Had these clients gone through the process of figuring out the demand for a particular product or service BEFORE they set out to provide it, some of them would be in much better (i.e. profitable) positions than they are now.So, back to pricing, if you can determine what people are willing to pay for your product or service, you will be much further ahead than everyone else in your field. When you price yourself near your competition, or heaven forbid at a price point LOWER than your competition, you’re assuming that your competition was smart enough to research their price points. Well, I can assure you, in most cases you are giving your competition way too much credit.Try testing alternative pricing methods on potential clients and keep raising prices until you hit severe resistance. However, do not forget to keep a running tally of overall revenue. Why? Because, as you raise your prices, at some point you will begin to see some drop off in clients who aren’t willing to pay, which may start to give you cold feet, but, what you must remember is that even if you lose some of those potential clients, the higher your price, the less clients you actually need to hire you to make the same amount of money.Lets look at a quick example:- If I provide auto-detailing services for $50.00 per car, and I get 100 new clients a month, I gross $5000.00 per month.- If instead of charging $50.00 per car, I charge $75.00 per car, I can gross the same $5000.00 per month by detailing only 67 cars.- Now, if I can get 50 people to pay $100.00 per car, then I now have to service only half of the clients that I had to at $50.00 per car, who I can undoubtedly give more attention to, and I can still make the same $5000.00 per month.I don’t know about you, but the third option makes me smile a lot more than the first or even the second option. So, before you make an arbitrary pricing decision, be sure to think it through. I’d be willing to bet that most of you aren’t charging nearly what the market will bare … trust me, or start raising your rates and see for yourself.

  145.

Every time you go for a loan, the bad credit trademark hits you where it should – your odds at finding a loan. For bad credit personal loan, it is necessary to discover your standing as a loan claimant. Loan borrowing is promoted as a much elementary process. And so is loan borrowing for bad credit. It is amazing that loan lending companies are willing to come forward for providing personal loans for bad credit. But you can never understand a dictum unless you heard to both sides of the version. The long queue of loan lender that you see standing in front of you is not standing there without a good reason. Bad credit personal loans implies higher rate of interest. There is money to be made from people with bad credit therefore these hoards of options. For getting personal loan approval, get a realistic view of your position in context of finding a bad credit personal loan. Your bad credit position will make it difficult for you to get a bad credit personal loan but you can still walk past the road blocks. You can still find your very own personal loans even with bad credit. Bad credit can impair your personal loan finding scenario. Bad credit can be indicted on various grounds. People get bad credit due to default in payments on credit cards, loans, or even, due to mortgage arrears. Having County Court Judgments (CCJs) held against your name also spells bad credit. A county court judgment is registered in your name not if you lose a case in the county court, but if you do not pay the fine that you have been ordered to pay within 28 days of the judgment. Any court case or any other legal impediment can cause bad credit label to attach to your credit report.A recent study found that more than 3 in 5 consumers have negative information in their credit report, and nearly half of the studied reports contained errors. Many of the errors were serious enough to prevent the individual from qualifying for credit. Sometimes while talking a bad credit personal loan, you don’t realize what you are getting into. Your loan lender will confirm you past record at repaying personal loans in order to certify your potential as a loan claimant. A credit checking company will have files on most of the adult population. So you can’t escape the aftermaths of bad credit. Not having a credit file is also not an encouraging phenomenon in respect of personal loans. Not having a credit file entails no credit history at all. This is often associated as worse as having a credit history.Anyway, CCJs and other financial problems will show up on your credit record. As a bad credit personal loan claimant you are required to know that the credit checking company will look at all of the people who live at your address before providing you with a personal loan. Now there is much more to it than being a regular credit check. This is done to discipline habitude of someone with good credit history borrowing money on behalf of someone with a bad credit history. The consequence of credit check is that if you are living with someone with a bad credit record then you could have a problem getting approval for any personal loan or financial products. Your relationship with that person is not of much consequence.Personal loans for bad credit can be taken for any purpose. The personal loans for bad credit is generally taken in small amounts and usually for non businesses purposes like home improvement and loans for financing other products. Bad credit personal loans can be either secured or unsecured and therefore can be secured on your property also. The time span for a bad credit personal loan is usually shorter than mortgage which is about 25 years. If you don’t want to go back without a bad credit personal loan gear yourself up with all the necessary information. Get your documents in order before you apply for bad credit personal loan. Also contemplate on how much you can afford to borrow your repayment plan and also inspect the current interest rates for bad credit personal loans. Before getting an approval for bad credit personal loans it is tremendously suggested that you understand the terms credit report and credit score. Perceiving these two terms will unquestionably connote financial compensations with regard to bad credit personal loans. A credit report is a report detailing an individual’s credit history. While a credit report is a statistical method of assessing an applicant’s credit worthiness. An applicant’s credit card history; amount of outstanding debt; the type of credit used; negative information such as bankruptcies or late payments; collection accounts and judgments; too little credit history, and too many credit lines with the maximum amount borrowed are all included in credit-scoring models to determine the credit score.Bad credit personal loan is not a loan for people with bad credit. Bad credit personal loan is more than often a way to reform negative credit score. May be those days of bad credit are over but still there are restructuring to be done. Bad credit personal loans promote credit repair by repaying debts and regain your stand in credit report. In spite of everything not getting approval for bad credit personal loans is a myth. So is having a perfect credit. You need to comprehend that being realistic about getting approval for a bad credit personal loan is the core of the whole procedure. There is no end to options for bad credit personal loans. The only impasse is finding the right one. Subjugate any temptations to borrow more amount than affordable for bad credit personal loans. And then you will realize the queue that you saw in the beginning, the one with all those loan lenders, is still for real.

  160.

People often ascribe to the misguided notion that once they agree to a loan’s terms they are trapped for the life of that loan. While it is true that one cannot simply walk away from a financial obligation easily, before making the ultimate choice to default or even file for bankruptcy, it is important to look for other options. Even with bad credit, lenders are willing to work with you to stay afloat. One such way to alleviate financial pressure is through refinancing your loans, and this includes auto loan refinancing.A Really Good Choice for Bad CreditWhile many people think refinancing is only for mortgages, auto loan refinancing is becoming more and more popular as more and more people are hitting financial walls. Through the process of refinancing your auto loan, you can lower your monthly payments and, hopefully, get the relief you need to secure your future. Lenders understand that those with bad credit are usually the ones in a position to need the help of a refinance loan, and many will sit down with you to work out the details. This is because the benefit of a refinance is mutual. Banks want to make sure that they get all the money you owe them on your loan. If refinancing that loan to get you a lower monthly payment is the only way to do that, they are willing to work with your bad credit.Auto Loan Refinancing: How Does It Work? The process of refinancing a loan is far simpler than many people think. However, in order to accomplish a refinance, you need to first have paid down the principle of your initial auto loan. Basically, say you bought a new car for $25,000 two years ago and took out a four year, or 48 month, loan. Over the course of the first 24 months, you likely paid about $550 per month, which has added up to $12,000 paid.During the refinance, you will look at how much you still owe ($13,000) and then take out a loan to cover that amount. However, rather than paying that $13,000 over the final two years of your loan, you will now pay it off over four years. This can lower your payment to less than $400 a month.Wait! There’s One More PerkIn addition to lowering your monthly payment, you can use your refinance loan to get some cash from your vehicle’s equity and still save on your monthly bills. If you want to take out an additional sum, say, $5,000 on top of that $13,000 by using your vehicle’s equity (basically in a secured loan) you will need to borrow a total of $18,000. However, that amount spread over four years will still only add up to about $425/month, which is still much lower than your initial $550/month payment.Securing Your FutureThrough the combination of a lower monthly payment and the money you get through the equity on your vehicle, you can make major strides in securing your financial future. The money you get from your refinance loan can go to paying other bills in a lump sum, and the $125 a month you have saved on your auto loan payments can go towards continuing to pay down debt or balance your budget.Clearly, the extra cash from auto loan refinancing, both at the front and each month, can help you manage your finances better. This, in turn, should help to improve your bad credit. Auto refinance loans are a very versatile tool that can make a great improvement in your financial health.

  175.

The 34 New Residential Estate Property Management RegulationsThere have been a staggering 34 new regulation changes introduced by the government in just 6 years affecting residential freehold and leasehold management agents and their estate management property services. And this list excludes any changes to employment law covering property services companies in employing their own staff. The main regulatory and statutory changes impacting on landlords, freeholders, resident property estate management companies and their agents are set out below.Whilst this list is not intended to be exhaustive, the extent of government interference in this sector is clear to see. It is granted that much of this legislation brings with it undoubted improvements however the scale and pace of the introduction of change is staggering. There must be few industry sectors which have been subjected to such radical and wholesale statutory amendment in such a short time frame. It is little wonder why so many freehold and leasehold management companies, landlords and their leaseholders have been turning to residential property block management agents for professional help and advice regarding service charges. Many residential freeholds, leaseholds, resident management companies, Right to Manage (RTM) and property management organisations are run by volunteers and others who may be relatively inexperienced in the property estate management field. It is understandable that these organizations along with landlords will wish to know that their freeholds and residential block management firms are professionally run, ensuring suitable protection under both new and existing legislation. There are 34 headings set out below which have been recently affected.
