If allowed to proceed, anyone who becomes pregnant in the state of Texas and takes steps to end that pregnancy—whether by using pills obtained through the mail, or by traveling out of state—could be effectively stalked and forced into court by their sexual partner to explain their actions. </p>

Before the 2020 election, Trump predicted that electing Biden would leave the U.S. a hellscape in which the government and stock markets had collapsed, crime ran rampant, the Constitution was shredded, and what remained of the economy was sunk into a bleak depression. </span></p>

Lawmakers allocated no money for the change, which would remove computer-readable QR codes and other barcodes that the state’s voting system relies on to accurately tabulate ballots.</p>

If lawmakers wanted to proceed, Sterling told them, they should write the legislation to make the changes contingent on appropriating enough money to pay for them, and move the effective date back to give election officials more time.</p>

Needless to say, Noem never met Kim Jong Un—there’s a reason why they call it the hermit kingdom. So how did this passage make it into her biography?</p>

This has been communicated to the ghostwriter and editor,” <a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/south-dakota-gov-kristi-noem-erroneously-describes-meeting-with-kim-jong-un-in-new-book" target="_blank">said a Noem spokesperson</a> somehow named Ian Fury earlier this week.</p>
