33.
Dear Friends,

 34.
Yesterday, the most consequential abortion case since the overturn of Roe v. Wade was argued before the Supreme Court. The case is called Food and Drug Administration (FDA) v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (AHM). FPA joined many other pro-life organizations in a rally outside the Court to demand that the FDA protect American mothers.

 35.
Over the past 20 years, the FDA has progressively deregulated the abortion drug regimen. These are high-risk drugs, as the FDA itself admits: their own warning label on the drugs says that one in 25 women who take them will end up in the emergency room. The FDA removed safeguards such as required in-person examinations before the drug can be prescribed and after it is taken to ensure a woman’s safety.

 36.
As one of the speakers at the rally, I spoke about how the plaintiffs in this case are simply asking the FDA to follow their own science and reinstate these common-sense safeguards to protect American mothers from dangerous drugs. By deregulating the abortion drug regimen, the FDA has endangered American mothers, who deserve better from their government.

 37.
Thank you for partnering with us in our efforts to protect pregnant mothers and unborn life through our #AfterRoe campaign! We also encourage you to visit our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram to see the live videos we filmed with some of our state allies from the Court yesterday.

 38.
Finally, please join us in praying for the Justices on the Supreme Court: that they would follow the Constitution and ensure the administrative state protects mothers everywhere. The overturning of Roe was a historic victory for the pro-life movement, but there is still so much to do to create a culture of life in America. Thank you for continuing your partnership with us to see that vision become a reality!

 81.
Dear Friends,

 82.
We want to update you on some encouraging progress.

 83.
One of FPA’s major policy focuses this year has been legislation protecting children from pornography through age verification requirements. This effort is part of our broader Let Parents Parent campaign, because parents are the primary guardians of their children’s innocence. We’re seeing some great success in this effort so far this year, and your support is making it possible.

 84.
Recently, I traveled to Nebraska to join our friends at Nebraska Family Alliance in advocating for one of these bills. I testified in a committee hearing about the danger pornography poses to children, and how easy it is for them to unintentionally stumble upon it on the internet.

 85.
We also recorded a podcast with them talking about these dangers and how parents and churches can respond to them.

 86.
Family Policy Alliance has also convened a Coalition of allied organizations, legislators, and expert witnesses dedicated to getting these bills passed in the states. Armed with model legislation and advocacy materials, this coalition has gotten these bills introduced in more than 15 states, with many likely to pass. We are actively crippling the pornography industry with these bills, and your support is what makes it possible.

 87.
Stay tuned for more updates from us on the progress of this effort. We invite you to join us in prayer and in speaking up about the threat pornography poses to children.

 88.
Finally, if you are not already partnered with us in this effort, please consider doing so.

 89.
We will not stop until the pornography industry can no longer prey on our innocent children.

 90.
For our kids,
109.
One week from today, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a pivotal abortion case, the first to come before the high court since it struck down Roe v. Wade nearly two years ago.

 110.
On March 26th, the Court will take up the issue of abortion pills and the risk they pose to women. Available since 2000, the Food and Drug Administration and, more recently, the Biden Administration, have loosened access to abortion pills over the years.

 111.
Originally, abortion pills could only be administered by a doctor during an in-person visit to determine the gestational age of the baby and the health of the mother. In order to safeguard a woman’s health through the medical abortion, the regimen required a second visit 3 days later and a final examination 14 days after that.

 112.
In 2016, the FDA eliminated the requirement that doctors provide follow-up visits on the 3rd and 14th days. They also eliminated the requirement that only doctors could prescribe abortion pills.

 113.
In 2021, the FDA used COVID to justify radical change these rules again. Shockingly, they removed all in-person examination requirements, permitting abortion pills to be mailed to patients regardless of what state they lived in and what their state laws said about the legality of abortion.

 114.
All of these changes put women’s health at greater risk and also further empowered sex abusers and sex traffickers by allowing them to cover up the consequences of their crimes – consequences that are compounded for their victims through medical abortions they experience alone and often with great trauma.

 115.
The Court will examine these concerns next week in a lawsuit challenging the FDA rules, brought by a number of pro-life doctors and our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom.

 116.
We are asking you to join us in prayer over the coming week and on the 26th in particular.

 117.
We will be praying that:

 118.

 119.
Clear pro-life arguments would be made

 120.
The justices would understand the risks posed to women by abortion pills and would value every human life, and

 121.
Ultimately, the use of abortion pills would be reined in

 122.

 123.
Thank you for joining us in these prayers.

 124.
Sincerely,
145.
The shocking thing is that despite that disagreement, all attempts to have rational discussions about real concerns for children were dismissed internally. 167.
Dear Friends,

 168.
We have an encouraging update for you from the frontlines of the fight to protect children and families from radical gender ideology.

 169.
An organization called the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) has provided cover for healthcare professionals across the world by promulgating “standards of care” for children struggling with gender dysphoria. These so-called “standards” encouraged doctors to attempt to “transition” children from one sex to another (something that is impossible) as early as possible. They also allow doctors to hide behind the justification that they were simply following the “standard of care.”

 170.
The fatal flaw in WPATH’s perverse plan: it’s not backed by science.

 171.
Recently leaked internal WPATH files revealed that the organization engages in experimental, blatantly harmful treatments that violate the Hippocratic Oath and contradict their own public statements claiming their standards of care are based in evidence and science. Those public statements have allowed these barbaric procedures to be covered by insurance in hospitals across the world.

 172.
FPA has worked successfully in 21 states to protect these vulnerable children from harmful and irreversible procedures done in the name of transgender ideology.

 173.
This important leak discredits one of the world’s leading transgender activist organizations and takes us one important step further to ensuring children struggling with gender dysphoria are protected everywhere.

 174.

 177.
Every day approximately 115 children in the United States are diagnosed with gender dysphoria. 224.
It wasn’t a surprising night, but it was massive nonetheless. Last night, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump each overwhelmed their remaining opposition in Super Tuesday contests around the nation, adding hundreds of delegates in the quest for their parties’ nominations.

 225.
President Biden swept the Democratic contests in 15 states. On the Republican side, only a Nikki Haley win in Vermont kept former President Trump from a clean sweep. As a result, Ambassador Haley is suspending her campaign today.

 226.
All of this means that, apart from a dramatic development, the November election will offer a repeat of the 2020 race: Biden vs. Trump.

 227.
If you are a voter in one of the Super Tuesday states, you had the chance to make your voice heard. But wherever you are, you can make your voice heard now by participating in the Social Conservative Straw Poll.

 228.
The groundwork has been laid for the presidential race, but so much is still to happen this election year. Most states still have primary elections to determine nominees for thousands of races – from state legislatures to governorships to congressional seats.

 229.
Please continue to stand with Family Policy Alliance and our state allies as we mobilize social conservatives and illuminate voters on where the candidates really stand.

 308.
Dear Friend,

 309.
Along with our allies at Family Voice, we have an urgent request for your help.

 310.
House Bill (H.B.) 1257 would protect children from exposure to pornography by requiring any website publishing pornography to conduct industry standard age verification of its users, while maintaining user privacy.

 311.

 312.
Studies show that by the age of 17, 75% of children have been exposed to pornography. They also show that the average age children first view pornography is between 7 and 13 years old, and most of those exposures happen accidentally. Even more concerning, research proves that pornography is as harmful to your brain as a hard drug. Our children are being exposed to material that is harming them the way a hard drug would, and they’re stumbling upon it by accident. H.B. 1257 would put a stop to it while ensuring all user data remains protected.

 313.
Parents are the first guardians of their child’s innocence. Ensuring kids are protected from early exposure to pornography is a critical step to making sure parents are the ones providing their kids with age-appropriate sexual education when they know it is right.

 314.
H.B. 1257 was dead in committee, but on Monday, the legislature can “smoke it out” with a one third vote on the Senate floor. So, we need you to contact your state senator and ask him or her to support H.B. 1257 on Monday. Doing so is easy in our Action Center.

 315.

 316.
Along with our allies at Family Voice, who have worked tirelessly to get this bill passed, we urge you to partner with us to protect kids from early exposure to pornography.

 317.
Send a message to your state senator NOW and urge them to protect South Dakota kids!
