44.

Malik Monk had a solid individual campaign with the Sacramento Kings this season. As a result, he will command some attention this offseason during free agency. However, there is mutual interest between Monk and the Kings staying together. The cap situation for the Kings is where details get a bit murky. They are expected to be one of the over-the-cap teams this summer which will limit their ability to re-sign the Sixth Man of the Year candidate. At most, Sacramento can offer a deal that caps out at $78 million over four years. However, Malik Monk expressed heavy interest in returning to Sacramento next year. This is a promising sign for the Kings, but as we have seen so many times in this league, money also talks.

 45.
Malik Monk Would Like to Stay With Kings

 46.
His Sixth Man of the Year Campaign

 47.
Monk solidified himself as a solid scorer and playmaker off the bench this season. He is a Sixth Man of the Year finalist and revitalized his career in Sacramento. This season, he tallied 15.4 points, 5.1 assists per game, and shot 35.0 percent from three-point range. Monk also had career-highs in assist percentage (28.9 percent), block percentage (1.9 percent), and defensive win-share (1.6).

 48.
He also averaged a true shooting percentage of 56.4 percent, an offensive rating of 113, and a box plus/minus rating of 0.6. While the Sacramento Kings failed the make the playoffs this year, Malik Monk was at least a bright spot for them on their second unit. Losing him would be a big blow to their bench. Considering all of this, he will garner plenty of interest this offseason and many teams could his firepower coming off the bench.

 49.
Teams Who Could Use Malik Monk

 50.
Reliable sixth men who can pack a scoring punch are more sought after than ever in today’s NBA. Malik Monk fits that bill, especially after the season he had with Sacramento. One team who could his firepower coming off the bench is the Detroit Pistons. Detroit was the worst team in the league this past season and could use all the help they can get, and Monk would be nice veteran presence in their locker room.

 51.
Another team who could target the Sixth Man of the Year candidate is the Orlando Magic. Orlando could use an offensive weapon in their backcourt. Their current personnel consists of scrappy, glue guys like Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony who are solid, but limited offensively. As a result, Monk would be a solid fit for Orlando. All in all, expect Malik Monk to potentially receive a pay raise this coming summer, especially if he wins Sixth Man of the Year honors.

 69.

 70.

San Francisco 49ers general manager, John Lynch, recently shared an update on the contract talks with wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk.

 71.

“I’ve communicated on many occasions: our wish is that he’s here and part of the Niners for the rest of his career,” Lynch said. “We’re working through that … I can say we’re having good talks, and I’m just going to leave it at that.”

 72.
Aiyuk is coming off a terrific year where he solidified himself as quarterback, Brock Purdy’s favorite target. A season that saw him record 75 catches for 1,342 yards, and seven touchdowns.

 73.
Talks Progressing Between Brandon Aiyuk and San Francisco 49ers

 74.
Brandon Aiyuk’s Career Numbers

 75.
Aiyuk has been one of the most underrated receivers in the entire league. Throughout his career, he has logged 25 receiving touchdowns, 3,931 receiving yards, 14.6 receiving yards per reception, 4.3 receptions per game, and 63.4 receiving yards per game. On top of this, Brandon Aiyuk also possesses a career catch percentage of 67.4 percent, has caught 269 career passes on 399 targets, and a receiving success rate of 62.2 percent. It is only a matter of time before Aiyuk breaks onto the scene as a top receiver in today’s NFL and makes a Pro Bowl. It makes sense why the San Francisco 49ers are adamant about getting him a new deal. Especially when one considers the other All-Pro players on their roster they are paying or will eventually have to pay or let walk in free agency.

 76.
Can the 49ers Eventually Break Through and Win the Super Bowl?

 77.
The 49ers arguably have the most talented roster in the entire league. There is a reason they have made it to the Super Bowl twice in the past four years. However, they always seem to fall just short of the end goal. Many have criticized head coach, Kyle Shanahan, for his coaching in the biggest stages of huge games.

 78.
However, the 49ers have also had plenty of talent in the past few seasons to overcome certain disadvantages. Needless to say, they have underachieved. However, if the San Francisco 49ers can retain most of their offensive core along with their talented defense, they may have one more chance at a title before their Super Bowl window officially closes. That starts with retaining Brandon Aiyuk, a receiver who is one of the most underrated players in the NFL. After the update shared by John Lynch, it seems as if this is close to becoming a reality.

 108.

Entering Turn 4 on the final lap of Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR Cup Series champion Michael McDowell led the field after receiving pushes from fellow Ford drivers Brad Keselowski and Noah Gragson.

 109.
Within view of the start/finish line, McDowell, who started on the pole, attempted to block Keselowski and he lost control of his machine, crashing out and placing P31. Tyler Reddick took advantage of the mele and earned the checkered flag.

 110.
McDowell, who has just two wins in 475 career Cup starts, suffered another setback.

 111.
“Heartbroken, man,” McDowell said, as reported by NASCAR.com. “It’s super unfortunate. So disappointed. Yeah, you just want to get to the finish line there, and we had an opportunity to win the race. And I haven’t seen the replay and I’m just going off of what I felt and saw. I’ve moved up to block Brad’s run, and when I pulled back down, I just, just wasn’t clear, you know? Barely got my bumper and turned me, you know, but just unfortunate because we had a good chance of getting the Dark Horse Mustang in Victory Lane.”

 112.
Below, we’ll preview the top storylines heading into Sunday’s Würth 400, go over the odds, and give our best bets for the 11th race on the 2024 NASCAR schedule.

 121.
Anthony Alfredo is coming off a career-best weekend, placing P6 in the Cup event and equaling his top Xfinity Series finish (P3). How close is the fourth-year driver to finally earning his first national series win?

 327.
Würth 400 Predictions and Picks

 328.
Here are our best NASCAR bets for the Würth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway:

 329.
Kyle Larson (+450)

 330.
The regular-season points leader started from the rear at Talladega because of a qualifying snafu. With one win and 11 top-10s in 15 career outings at Dover, it’s a good place for Larson, the odds-on favorite, to rebound.

 331.
Tyler Reddick (+1800)

 332.
Reddick has proven he can win on road course and now superspeedways. With five consecutive top-10s, his team looks primed to conquer the Monster Mile.

 333.
Brad Keselowski (+2200)

 334.
With back-to-back P2s, Keselowski appears close to ending his prolonged winless skid. Ford, which has yet to record a win in its newly designed Mustang Dark Horse, needs the owner/driver to come through – fast.

 356.

The Chicago White Sox are having all sorts of problems scoring runs at the moment. When they were shutout 7-0 by the Minnesota Twins on Monday, the White Sox set a record that they would simply not want. Chicago became the first team in Major League Baseball history to be shutout eight times in their first 22 games.

 357.
Monday’s shutout loss

 358.
The White Sox had eight hits (all singles) against Twins pitching, but were unable to bring a single base runner home. Twins starting pitcher Chris Paddack of Austin, Texas struck out 10 White Sox batters and saw his earned run average drop from 8.36 to 5.57.

 359.
When were the other seven shutouts?

 360.
The White Sox were shutout the first time this season on March 28 in a 1-0 loss to the Detroit Tigers. That was followed by a 9-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves on April 1, 3-0 loss to the Kansas City Royals on April 6, 4-0 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on April 8, 5-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on April 13, 2-0 loss to the Royals on April 15, and 7-0 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on April 19.

 361.
Individual Statistics

 362.
Yoan Moncada of Abreus, Cuba is leading the White Sox with a .282 batting average this season. However, he is on the 60-day injury list with a leg injury suffered running the bases. In the White Sox batting order on Monday, there were three starting White Sox batters who were hitting below the Mendoza Line to start the 2024 MLB regular season. Robbie Grossman was at .182, designated hitter Eloy Jimenez was at .176, and first baseman Andrew Vaughn was at .158.

 363.
Worst in the Major Leagues

 364.
The White Sox have a record of three wins and 19 losses for a winning percentage of .136. They are already 13 games back of the American League Central Division leading Guardians. The White Sox have a Major League least 45 runs this year. That is an average of just over two runs per game.

 380.

 381.

One night after the Vancouver Canucks made franchise history by scoring the fastest two goals in playoff history, the Carolina Hurricanes did the same. However, what we saw from Sebastian Aho of Rauma, Finland, and Jordan Martinook of Brandon, Manitoba of the Hurricanes on Monday was marginally more spectacular than what Pius Suter of Zurich, Switzerland and Dakota Joshua of Dearborn, Michigan achieved for the Canucks on Sunday. See, Aho and Martinook scored nine seconds apart in a 5-3 Carolina win over the New York Islanders, while Suter and Joshua scored a dozen seconds apart in a 4-2 Vancouver win over Nashville.

 382.
In-depth look at the two Hurricane goals

 383.
With the Islanders leading 3-2, Aho scored a dramatic game-tying goal with two minutes and 15 seconds left in the third period to tie the game at three. Andrei Svechnikov of Barnaul, Russia, and Seth Jarvis of Winnipeg, Manitoba picked up the assists. Then with two minutes and six seconds left in the game, Martinook scored the game-winning goal from Jack Drury of New York, New York. The Hurricanes went up 4-3, and would get an empty-netter from Jake Guentzel of Omaha, Nebraska to close out the scoring. Guentzel scored from Aho and Svechnikov with 56 seconds left. When Guentzel scored, the Hurricanes also set a franchise record for the fastest three goals in playoff franchise history of one minute and 19 seconds. With the win, the Hurricanes took a two games to none lead in the best out of seven series.

 384.
Who had the old records?

 385.
The previous Hurricanes record for the two fastest playoff goals came on May 19, 2021. That is when Aho and Warren Foegele of Markham, Ontario scored 25 seconds apart in a 3-0 Carolina win over the Nashville Predators in game two of the first round of the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

 386.
The previous Hurricanes record for the fastest three playoff goals came on May 9, 2023. That is when defenseman Brett Pesce of Tarrytown, New York, Jesper Fast of Nassjo, Sweden, and Brent Burns of Barrie, Ontario scored two minutes and 55 seconds apart in a 6-1 Hurricanes win over the New Jersey Devils in game four of the second round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

 415.
In nine circuit starts, the 19-year-old rookie has secured three top-five finishes, six top-10s and three poles. His average start has been 6.7 and has compiled four stage wins. 519.

NASCAR Cup Series driver Tyler Reddick discovered something about himself Sunday.

 520.
“Guess I’m a superspeedway racer now,” Riddick joked, as reported by NASCAR.com, following his opportunistic trip to Victory Lane following the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

 521.
Known for his road course skills, Reddick said he didn’t think he had much of a chance Sunday as the lead pack entered Turn 4 of the last lap at the 2.66-mile, high-banked track. Trailing Michael McDowell and Brad Keselowski, Reddick noticed the leaders “started to fan out … and then Michael got turned by Brad.”

 522.
With an opening, “I was just put the pedal to the metal,” Reddick said.

 523.
With 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan in attendance, McDowell crashed out as Reddick passed Keselowski and cruised to his first win of the season and sixth in 156 Cup starts. It was also Jordan’s first win he experienced in person, proving he’s no longer a team jinx.

 524.
“(Co-owner) Denny (Hamlin) kept saying I was bad luck when I come to the racetrack,” Jordan told Fox Sports. “Today I proved him wrong.”

 525.
Will he, again, next Sunday at Dover Motor Speedway?

 619.

Denver Broncos wide receiver, Courtland Sutton, is in the news yet again. Just days after reports saying that he is holding out for a new deal, the team is not entertaining any trade offers for the wideout despite many teams gauging interest. Sutton has not attended Denver’s voluntary offseason program as he angles for a new contract. He currently has two years left on his current deal. Sutton was the Broncos’ most reliable receiving target last season and had a bit of a bounce-back year. With the team most likely set to draft a quarterback and usher in a new era, it makes sense why they do not want to part ways with the big-bodied, veteran receiver who would be a perfect security blanket for a rookie quarterback.

 620.
Denver Broncos Not Interested in Trading Wide Receiver, Courtland Sutton

 621.
Courtland Sutton’s Tenure With Denver

 622.
In Sutton’s defense, he has had to become accustomed to multiple quarterbacks throughout his six-year career. Something that is difficult for any receiver in the league to adapt to, regardless of talent. The one-time Pro-Bowler has logged 298 receptions, 4,259 receiving yards, 14.3 receiving yards per reception, 24 receiving touchdowns, and 52.6 receiving yards per game. Last season, Sutton solidified himself as Denver’s top target.

 623.
He recorded a career-best 10 touchdowns, 772 receiving yards, 13.1 yards per reception, and 48.3 receiving yards per game. Courtland Sutton has dealt with some nagging injuries the past few years, so it has taken awhile for him to regain his Pro-Bowl form. However, he flashed some of his potential last season, especially during the Broncos’ six-game win-streak. A win-streak that saw Denver defeat the likes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, and the Buffalo Bills to name a few teams. The Denver Broncos’ future is in question though with the quarterback situation which could be a factor in Courtland Sutton holding out for a new contract.

 624.
Denver Looking for Another Quarterback of the Future Again

 625.
Most peers expect Sean Payton and company to select a quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft. Even with them trading for Zach Wilson. Some names that are being linked to the Broncos include Bo Nix, J.J. McCarthy, Spencer Rattler, and Michael Penix. Denver has been searching for a consistent signal caller under center since Peyton Manning retired. If the team can retain Courtland Sutton, then he could become a reliable target for a young quarterback and potentially have a 1,000-yard receiving season. Many questions will be answered come April 25th during the NFL Draft.

 644.

J.K. Dobbins officially has a new home in the NFL. He and the Los Angeles Chargers have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal. The former Baltimore Ravens running back is already familiar with Greg Roman, who spent some time with him and the Ravens as their former offensive coordinator. Not to mention, the Chargers hired Jim Harbaugh as their new head coach, someone who will certainly utilize Dobbins’ skillset plenty this coming season. Despite all the injuries Dobbins has dealt with over the years, the Los Angeles Chargers seem to be a good fit and could potentially revitalize his career.

 645.
J.K. Dobbins Agrees to One-Year Deal with Los Angeles Chargers

 646.
J.K. Dobbins’ Potential Impact

 647.
While J.K. Dobbins may not be in the same tier as Austin Ekeler, he is a solid replacement for him. Especially on a one-year deal. When healthy, he has shown spurts of greatness. Throughout his career, Dobbins has logged numbers of 12 rushing touchdowns, 1,347 rushing yards, 56.1 rushing yards per game, 27 catches, one receiving touchdown, and 2.0 receptions per game in 24 career games played. Last season, Dobbins was sidelined at the very start of the campaign with a season-ending injury and only participated in eight matchups the season before last year.

 648.
While the numbers may not jump off the page, one cannot deny the potential J.K. Dobbins possesses. There is a reason the Los Angeles Chargers are giving him a chance. Dobbins will also get plenty of opportunities as a passing threat in the backfield playing alongside quarterback, Justin Herbert. Remember, Austin Ekeler had a ton of success with the Chargers and Dobbins could have close to the same impact if he can remain healthy. Don’t be surprised if J.K. Dobbins is in the running for Comeback Player of the Year.

 649.
A New-Look Chargers Team Coming Into Next Season

 650.
The Los Angeles Chargers have done quite a bit of re-tooling this offseason. Many expect them to draft a wide receiver in the upcoming NFL Draft since they traded away Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Not to mention, they will have new leadership at head coach with Jim Harbaugh as alluded to already who has been known to get creative with offensive schemes. They have also made some moves defensively such as signing linebacker, Denzel Perryman and defensive back, Kristian Fulton. All in all, the Los Angeles Chargers could be a dangerous team next year. This could open the door to J.K. Dobbins officially living up to his potential as a running back.

They accomplished the feat by scoring two goals in 12 seconds in a 4-2 Canucks win over the Nashville Predators in game one of their first round playoff series of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

 669.
Who scored for the Canucks?

 670.
The Canucks were actually trailing 2-1 to the Predators early in the third period when Pius Suter of Zurich, Switzerland tipped a shot into the net to tie the game at two. Americans Quinn Hughes of Orlando, Florida and Brock Boeser of Burnsville, Minnesota picked up the assists on the Suter goal at 8:59 of the final frame. Then at 9:11 of the third period, Dakota Joshua of Dearborn, Michigan scored from Conor Garland of Scituate, Massachusetts and Hughes on an all-American goal. Both goals were even strength. It was the first of two goals scored by Joshua, as he closed out the scoring into an empty net.

 671.
When was the Canucks previous record?

 672.
The Canucks’s previous record for the fastest two playoff goals was 15 seconds and came on April 13, 1989 in game six of the Smythe Division Semifinals, a 6-3 Canucks win over the Calgary Flames. Rich Sutter of Viking, Alberta scored from Petri Skriko of Lappeenranta, Finland and Brian Bradley of Kitchener, Ontario at 19:29 of the second period to put the Canucks up 3-2. Then with 16 seconds left in the third period, Garth Butcher of Regina, Saskatchewan scored the game-winning goal from Steve Bozek of Kelowna, British Columbia and Jim Sandlak of Kitchener, Ontario in an all-Canadian goal. At the time, the Canucks went up 4-2.

Joe Malone of Quebec City, Quebec accomplished the feat for the Montreal Canadiens in the third period by scoring twice in five seconds in an 8-4 Canadiens win over the Ottawa Senators in game one of the 1919 Stanley Cup on February 22, 2019. Norm Ullman of Provost, Alberta scored twice in five seconds on April 11, 1965 for the Detroit Red Wings in a 4-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in game five of the NHL semifinals. Then on April 15, 2018, Evgeni Malkin of Magnitogorsk, Russia and Brian Dumoulin of Biddeford, Maine scored twice in five seconds in a 5-1 Pittsburgh Penguins over the Philadelphia Flyers in game three of the first round.
