33.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix is an action-role playing game in which people can control Sora, the main character of this game. On the surface, it might look like an innocent-looking game, so it is natural to expect this series to have a simple enough gameplay, as the title is aimed to people of all ages, and assuming it is not as complex as titles like Devil May Cry is expected. But is that really true? To answer that question, let us take a look at the core gameplay of this game. It will be broken down in two categories.

 34.
(*) Offensive mechanics: This will cover ‘Melee’, ‘Reaction Commands’, ‘Magic’, ‘Summons’, ‘Limits’, and ‘Drives’.

 35.
– Melee: As the name implies, this allows the player to engage in close-range combat, which is mainly based on ‘combo strings’; a mechanic that normally allows Sora to hit his enemies with two basic attacks and a ‘finisher’, the most powerful strike in any given combo string, be it an aerial or ground-based combo. It is simple enough to use. All it requires is the use of mainly one button to perform combos and finishers, two if the player chooses to vary their combo string. By equipping certain abilities and weapons, the player can increase or decrease the amount of combos and finishers that Sora can use in a string, to the point of having four combos and two finishers, or if the player so desires, they can remove the existence of combos from their string and only use finishers instead. Each combo and finisher has different variations with different properties depending on the circumstances the player is in, such as being surrounded, or if the enemy is afar, or if the player presses a different button. Sora has access to a specific move called Flash Step, which can make him fully impervious to damage, but this does not last even a half-second, so the player needs to think carefully how and when to use that specific attack to break through the enemy’s defenses by analyzing its patterns to find an opening, without the need to block or dodge said enemy’s attack. But, as mentioned above, the invincibility period goes away too quickly, so this tactic shall only be used for short-lasting attacks. Melee alone allows various playstyles depending on how the player wants to go about with them.

 36.
– Reaction Commands: They are contextual attacks that can be used depending on the circumstances that the player is in. Most enemies and bosses can prompt the player to use one, and the great thing about them is that they are optional, so they are in no way intrusive. They also keep the game running normally, instead of freezing Sora’s surroundings.

 37.
– Magic: Sora has access to five offensive spells at any given time, each one of them having a unique use, and all of them have a direct upgrade that enhances certain aspects depending on the spell itself. It is necessary to have MP (Magic Points) in order to use spells, and every spell has a different cost. The great thing about magic, in general, is that it can be incorporated into a normal combo string, and every offensive spell has a finisher variant, which allows for even more variety in combat. Fire is a small Area of Effect attack (AoE for short), and it is highly useful to hit a small group of enemies surrounding Sora. Blizzard fires a piercing shot to enemies, and its finisher variant renders most humanoid bosses unable to fight back (the latter is not possible to do in the PS4 version). Thunder hits an enemy from above, and depending on the upgrade, it can hit nearby enemies as well. It also has the ability to launch enemies into the air. Magnet can gather enemies to one point in the air, leaving them helpless as long as the spell is in place. As such, this spell has excellent synergy with Thunder. Reflect generates a barrier that gives Sora full invincibility, and if an enemy attacks the barrier, it will explode and hurt nearby enemies. This spell has the highest damage potential and is also the most MP efficient spell, but it requires good timing to optimize its damage, and using it continuously will not make the barrier explode, as it will generate another barrier before that happens, reducing its damage potential and wasting MP in the process.

 38.
– Summons: They are basically a stronger ally that Sora can call to assist him, but he can only use one at a time. Chicken Little serves as an early Magnet that the player can use, but even then, it is cost-free. Moreover, each time the player hits the enemy when this Summon is in place, they will recover a small amount of health. Stitch can regenerate MP whenever the player is low of it, can automatically block certain attacks, and his special attack lets him freeze enemies in place, so the player can either hit them to squeeze extra damage or make enemies drop Health orbs. Genie has the ability to extend Sora’s combos indefinitely by using Genie’s form-change Command. He also has different Drives of his own, and they are specialized in one or multiple targets, depending on the Drive used. Finally, Peter Pan attacks whenever Sora does, making enemies drop MP orbs, and depending on the game’s version, he may stunlock enemies indefinitely (only possible in the PS4 version), and if Sora dies, Pan can revive him once per fight.

 39.
– Limits: This is the game’s take on super moves; invincible attacks that consume all of the player’s MP. In a way, they are the player’s way to deal some damage to a troublesome enemy or to deal as much damage as possible to a boss while gaining full invincibility. While this may sound sweet, it is far from being the fastest way to deal with every enemy or boss they are available against, not to mention that your ally (or allies) must be alive in order to use them.

 40.
– Drives: They require a certain number of allies to activate, as well as a certain number of Drive points, and they’re specialized in certain core aspects of the combat. Valor swaps Sora’s melee moveset and is decent for offense, but lacks any Magic, a specialized dodge, or a way to block attacks. It is by far the form with the least combat uses. Wisdom is fantastic for Magic, and like Valor, it is the most Drive efficient Form. It has a way to dodge attacks via Quick Run, and it can block attacks via Reflect. It grants base Sora its dedicated ability, Quick Run. Also, it swaps the way that Magic works, and replaces the ‘Attack’ command with the ‘Shoot’ command, which lets players fire weak pellets at enemies from afar, and they do not consume MP. Limit has a specialized dodge and guard mechanics, and it replaces any Magic with its own four limits, each one being capable of regenerating the player’s health, and with their own niche uses for combat. It grants base Sora its dedicated Dodge Roll ability. Master is mostly specialized for single target uses and is focused on aerial combat. It changes around how Magic works. It also swaps Sora’s melee moveset and has the ability to parry attacks in mid-air as its dedicated dodge ability (which base Sora gains access to as well). Final changes both Sora’s melee and Magic moveset, he is able to hover in place, at which moment he will parry most incoming attacks. It also grants Sora and his base form the ability to glide at high speed. Final’s finishers can be canceled if the player wants to, depending on the tactics they want to use.

 41.
(*) Defensive mechanics: The player has access to five core defenses. Each of these abilities has their own use. Guard can block frontal attacks, and it is great for long-lasting attacks. Quick Run lets the player traverse a good amount of terrain fast, and the player is invincible during the start of it. This is good to avoid attacks, while also getting away from the enemy in the process. Dodge Roll is similar to Quick Run, but it doesn’t cover as much distance as the latter and has a slightly longer invincibility period, ideal for dodging attacks without getting too far away from the enemy, allowing the player to attack it as soon as there’s an opening without having to get back to the enemy’s position. Aerial Dodge lets the player to parry attacks in mid-air, and lastly, Glide is a high-speed ability that lets the player avoid most attacks by getting as far away as the player desires.

 42.
In conclusion, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix does have a deep combat system that is on par with the best of the Action genre, since there is a lot of useful options to use in different scenarios.

 60.
These are just generalized tips for below-average Call of Duty players who want to at least break positive at the end of their matches.

 61.

 62.

 63.
Have you ever went up against an enemy team that just seems to be one step ahead of you at all times? They aren’t psychic, and they’re less than likely to be genetically gifted with superior twitch reflexes. They’ve spent years honing their craft to the point that they appear to be almost untouchable while playing the game. They streak up, while you die. They hit every shot, while you miss a good portion of yours. They know when to jump a corner, and you’re spamming the jump button while panic firing your weapon. Let’s start your transformation from a less than impressive Call of Duty player to a formidable opponent that’s able to stand toe-to-toe with all but the best of players.

 64.

 65.
It’s Okay to Be Sensitive

 66.
The foundation for playing well at COD starts with your sensitivity settings. It cannot be stressed enough that playing on a high thumbstick sensitivity does not make you a good player. Playing on a high sensitivity is probably going to make you die a lot. Most pro-players play on anything between a 4 and a 6. Everyone is going to have a different speed that they’re comfortable with. A great way of finding your own personal sensitivity is to create a custom match filled with recruit-level bots, use a gun with a large magazine capacity, and hip fire every bot you come across. The feeling you’re looking for is one of precision. Are your cross-airs overshooting the center mass of the bot? Your sensitivity is too high. Does it feel like you’re fighting the joystick to get on target? It’s too low. It may take a good 10 minutes of trial and error until you find something that feels right to you.

 67.
Map Control Dictates How The Match Will Go

 68.
Before we talk about breaking cameras and bunny hopping, we have to talk about power positions and map flow. Every map, no matter how badly it’s designed, has a certain type of flow to it. Your team’s job is to control choke points to keep control of the map. This is especially important in game modes like Hard-point and Domination. The easiest way to gain map control is to secure power positions. What are power positions? The easiest way to identify one is whether or not it has a long sightline over a major portion of the map and ample cover. Sitting in a random corner that is out of the way isn’t going to help your team. If you’re using an assault rifle, find a power position and lock down a lane. Remember, power positions don’t make you invincible. They just make you a headache for the enemy team.

 69.
Float Like A Butterfly, Sting Like A Bee

 70.
Most COD players dream of being rushers and harassers. They want to be the one that prevents the enemy team from even getting close to the objective. This playstyle is one of the more difficult ones, and most players fail at every level to pull it off successfully. This is where we’ll get into bunny-hopping and breaking cameras. To be a successful rusher, harasser, or slayer, you have to know how to use everything to your advantage, including breaking the net code. When you see a player come flying around the corner, they’re typically trying to get a few frames of advantage over you by breaking the net code and lag compensation mechanics of the game. While we aren’t going to get into the technicalities of why this happens, we will talk about when it is, and isn’t, appropriate to corner jump.

 71.
The most appropriate time to corner hop someone is when you know for a fact that they’re there, and you have a pretty good idea of which position around the corner they’re located. You’ll have a split second to lock on and fire before the other person realize what’s going on. The least appropriate time to hop past a corner is when you don’t know whether or not someone is there. If you come flying around the corner with an SMG, and someone is watching that corner with an AR from a good distance away, you’re going to get smacked down. An easy way to avoid doing this is to shoulder-peak your corners before you go careening around them. Shoulder peaking is the act of quickly running out from behind the wall and rushing back to cover. The reason for doing this is to gather intel quickly. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re going to be able to push past that corner, but it will always mean you’ll know whether or not that path is safe to rush without getting shot.

 72.
Hopping and Dropping

 73.
Spamming the jump button doesn’t make you a harder target, but it may confuse lesser-skilled players enough to get them to rethink their decision to challenge you. It’ll make them hesitate long enough to get the kill, but don’t expect this to work on higher-skilled players. Drop-shotting, on the other hand, works against all players of all levels. Drop-shotting is the act of holding in the crouch button to quickly drop to the ground to get your challenger off-target for a split second so you have time to kill advantage. Higher skill players are more prepared for this, but they’re more prone to messing up their shot if you drop shot as opposed to jump-shotting. The people who excel at these two techniques usually prefer SMGs, so they’re very conducive to the rusher play style.

 74.
When Behind Enemy Lines, Positioning Is Everything.

 75.
It doesn’t matter how quick your reflexes are if you’re staring down the entire enemy team. It doesn’t matter what you do in that situation, but something you can do is position yourself to only be visible to a few at a time. Try to funnel them through choke points so you can take them out one by one. That’s the best-case scenario. The most likely scenario is that you’re going to want to at least survive until another one of the rushers on your team decides to give you backup. If you feel like you’re about to be outgunned, don’t be afraid to retreat so you don’t lose your streak.

 76.
Don’t Sprint All The Time

 77.
Even if you’re playing a rusher, don’t get caught sprinting around corners. This has to be the number one reason most players get killed repeatedly. All guns in Call of Duty have a sprint-out time. This is the time it takes for you to go from a full sprint to firing your gun. SMGs are faster than assault rifles are faster than lmgs are faster than sniper rifles. It doesn’t matter how fast your smg is at sprinting out. If you get caught by an AR user who’s pre-aiming a corner, you’re more than likely dead. Center your cross-airs and be prepared to fire every time you turn a corner.

 78.
Don’t Spend A Lot of Time In The Center of The Map

 79.
This should be obvious. Just in case you don’t know why being in the center of the map is a bad idea, let’s expound on it. When you’re in the center of the map, you’ve got so many angles to worry about getting shot from that it’s impossible to watch them all. If you stay on the outside of the map, you’re only going to have three directions to worry about; front, side, and back. If you’re playing the game correctly, you should only have your front and side to worry about.

 80.
Finally, some general tips:

 81.
1. If you get mad, turn the game off
82. 2. Don’t equip scorestreaks that you know you can’t achieve
83. 3. Stop trying to copy other people’s playstyles
84. 4. Have fun

 100.

Red Dead Redemption II will be available for the PC officially after spending a year on consoles. Although the announcement isn’t a big surprise, it is nevertheless arriving a bit earlier than expected. In this article, we have provided a comprehensive Red Dead Redemption II review.

 101.
Red Dead Redemption II PC Release Date

 102.
The release date of this game is on 5th November this year. However, in case you have already pre-ordered the game on 9th October, you will be offered several bonuses which include cash incentives for the main story plus gold bars for Red Dead Online.

 103.
This game will likewise be obtainable on other storefronts which include the Epic Games Store while the pre-orders will commence at a later date on 23rd October. However, individuals who are planning to purchase the game on Steam need to be patient until December.

 104.
We have provided more information below on Red Dead Redemption II and what can be expected from the game in the long run.

 105.
The RDRII launch trailer

 106.
By viewing the launch trailer you won’t be able to make a perfect idea about the game. Apart from recapping the misfortunes of the gang, it also emphasizes on the Caribbean diversion rather heavily despite the fact that this is one of the weaker chapters of the storyline. In spite of this, Red Dead Redemption II definitely looks good on PC as expected.

 107.
A Cinematic Look at the Red Dead Redemption II World

 108.
The new trailer for the game released by Rockstar happens to be an environmental showcase that has been set to an Arthur Morgan monologue. We are going to explore the scenery in the wide-open world rather than actions plus gunfights once the game is finally launched. If you like the song which is played in the game, it will be interesting to know that it is actually the Mountain Hymn sung by Rhiannon.

 109.
What is so great about Red Dead Redemption II anyway?

 110.
Although it is not meant for everybody out there, while it was released for the consoles the game was widely admired for the liberty within it, its sprawling world, and its ability to make reactions to your behavior. Many gamers who have played the game on PS4 have appreciated it for its story, the sound design, and the world. Specific details about the game are being withheld by Rockstar for now; however, it has promised us to offer a range of technical and graphical improvements plus intriguing stuff like new Gang Hideouts, Bounty Hunting Missions, Weapons, and so on.

 111.
One also needs to consider the prospect of modding. Although GTA mods have not been supported by Rockstar officially, it has not prevented the innovative gaming buffs from mucking with the graphics, making GTA5 roleplaying servers, and including fresh character models.

 112.
Red Dead Redemption II is going to have weapons, quests, plus hideouts within the story mode

 113.
Fresh story mode weapons

 114.
The M1899 pistol is absolutely new to the game while the High Roller Revolver, Evans Repeater, and Le Mat Revolver were only available originally in Red Dead Online.

 115.
M1899 pistol: An innovative semi-automatic handgun including clip loaded bullets

 116.
High Roller Revolver: A decorative dual-action revolver

 117.
Evans Repeater: A high-capacity and powerful repeater

 118.
Le Mat Revolver: A powerful revolver having the capability of shooting shotgun shells

 215.

In case you are prepared for 4K gaming, the 2 significant mainstream consoles are definitely all set for you! According to many individuals, it would not have been possible for the consoles to attain the innovative 4K-rendering ability until the subsequent generation; however, Microsoft and Sony have moved early in order to live up to this standard as early as possible.

 216.

 217.
Below, we are going to compare the Xbox One X and the PlayStation 4 Pro and will look at the pros and cons of both while deciding the eventual winner too.

 218.
So, let us not waste time and delve deeper into this article.

 219.
The hardware

 220.
CPU:

 221.
The CPU of both of these consoles have been somewhat improved, unlike the original versions. Even though the CPUs of both consoles feature 8 cores, that of the Xbox One X enjoys some sort of advantage over the PS4 pro. This is because the CPU of the Xbox One X runs at a speed of 2.3 GHz while that of its counterpart runs at only 2.1 GHz. Although it is not a great deal of difference, we ought to take this aspect into consideration while comparing.

 222.
GPU:

 223.
This is the place where we can observe the biggest improvement. Both these consoles depict a huge improvement in the graphics segment with the Xbox One X featuring a 6 TFLOP GPU and its counterpart having a 4.2 TFLOP one. Moreover, the PlayStation4 Pro comes with a RAM of 8 GB with an additional 1 GB preserved for background procedures and the Xbox One X has 12 GB RAM in total. Both these consoles make use of GDDR5 memory.

 224.
Other specs:

 225.
Besides the CPU, GPU, and RAM, we have also mentioned some other specs below.

 226.
Both these consoles feature an internal storage of 1 TB. The PS4 comes with a regular Blu-Ray player and the Xbox One X features a 4k one.

 227.
Performance

 228.
PS4 had some controversies surrounding it initially since it fails to run games in the native 4K. Instead, it simply renders games in an almost-4K resolution following which it makes use of sophisticated upscaling methods such that they seem to be in 4K.

 229.
On the contrary, the Xbox One X intends to offer a genuine native 4k experience to the gamers out there. Moreover, this is made possible by its more powerful GPU although there is not much difference in the image quality.

 230.
Cost

 231.
The price of these 2 consoles differ somewhat and that of the PS4 happen to be the more inexpensive of the 2. The 4K-capable console of Sony was launched on the market with a price tag of $400, while the cost of the Xbox One X is a bit higher at $500.

 232.
The Games

 233.
To be candid, one does not need to be concerned about the performance and the hardware while picking a gaming console. As compared to a gaming computer, these consoles ought to be more inexpensive, simpler, and a lot more convenient with only one intention – playing some mind-boggling games.

 234.
So, what can be said of both these consoles when it comes to games?

 235.
The selection

 236.
As compared to the Xbox, the PS console has always has better and more exclusives in the past, and this applies to the present versions too. It is also a significant reason why the demand of PS4 is somewhat higher than that of the Xbox One X.

 237.
On top of this, you also need to take into account another essential aspect – the VR. There is VR support for the PS4 Pro just like any other version of PS4 out there. Also, the PSVR happens to be amongst the better valued VR headsets presently on the market. On the contrary, there is no VR support when it comes to Xbox One X.

 238.
Backward compatibility

 239.
Microsoft enjoys one significant advantage over Sony given that just like any other Xbox One version, this Xbox One X is 100% backward compatible with the Xbox games of the previous generations. This will enable users to play any game which is released for the Xbox 360 or the original Xbox that is owned by them on the Xbox One.

 240.
On the contrary, backward compatibility is supported by Sony by means of PlayStation Now which happens to be a game streaming service that is subscription-based. It does not matter whether you are already an owner of an older PlayStation game, it will be imperative for you to pay out an annual charge of $100 so as to gain access to PlayStation Now. It is definitely quite expensive out there. Apart from this it also:

 241.
• Needs stable Internet connectivity of a minimum of 5 Mbits

 242.
• Totally disrespects the fact that you might have already purchased the games available by paying the full price

 243.
• Only enables the users to gain access to a selection of video games and not every single game that was released for the earlier PlayStation versions

 244.
Online play

 245.
While we are already talking about the subscription-based services of Sony, you will also come across the PS+ subscription which is needed if you like to play games on the web and this will cost to $60 every year. However, that is not all and several free games are also entailed by the PS+ subscription each month: a couple of PS4 titles, 2 PSVita titles plus 2 PS3 titles (even though the PS3 and the PSVita titles will be an allegedly removed from this offer sometime the subsequent year). All the games will be kept by the users that they receive by means of PS+ and they will be able to play them for as long as the subscription remains active. Besides these, deeper discounts will be enjoyed by the subscribers in the PS Store.

 246.
In the meantime, the Xbox console comes with Xbox Live Gold which happens to be a similar type of subscription-based service which also allows multiplayer, provides subscribers with deeper discounts on the Microsoft store just like PS+, and provides as many as 6 Xbox 360 and Xbox One games every single month (you can also play them while your subscription remains active). It has also become more inexpensive in the recent past given that the animal subscription cost has been blurred by Microsoft from $60 to only $40. Apart from this, the Xbox One consoles happen to be backward compatible with almost every Xbox 360 game out there, and therefore you will be able to play them even though you do not own any active last-gen console.

 247.
Next, we will talk about the pros and cons of these 2 gaming consoles that we are discussing here.

 248.
Xbox One X Pros:

 249.
• More powerful

 250.
• The Xbox Live services happen to be quicker and more dependable as compared to the PlayStation Network

 251.
• The Xbox Game Pass is more inexpensive as compared to PlayStation at present

 252.
• More compact in size

 253.
• Backward compatibility using discs

 254.
Xbox One X Cons:

 255.
• More costly

 256.
• A lesser number of exclusive games

 257.
The PlayStation4 Pro definitely has a better reputation and features more exclusives although it is not as powerful as its counterpart. In spite of that, the PS4 is nevertheless able to render games at a resolution of 4K as well as 60 FPS, albeit less often.

 258.
PS4 Pros:

 259.
• A higher number of exclusives

 260.
• More inexpensive

 261.
• Better reputation

 262.
• Can support VR using its personal dedicated headset (although you need to purchase it separately)

 263.
PS4 Cons:

 264.
• Bigger in size

 265.
• Not as powerful like its counterpart

 266.
• Backward compatibility is not supported while using discs

 267.
Conclusion:

 268.
Now, after going through this comprehensive discussion on “which is better Xbox or PlayStation?” we like to assert that the winner in this case happens to be PlayStation 4 Pro.

 269.
Why is it so?

 270.
There is no doubt that better value is presented by PS4. Although it does not run any game in native 4K, the difference is almost indistinguishable. In fact, the solution of Sony is quite intelligent since it helps to bring games at a much lower cost to a 4K screen.

 271.
It has got better exclusives. As already mentioned by us, the popularity of PS4 depends significantly on the exclusive games offered by it. You’ll be having access to some mind-boggling games with the PlayStation 4 including the likes of the Uncharted series, Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us, and so on, many of which are going to be launched in the near future.

 272.
It also features VR. Although it will be imperative for you to purchase the PSVR headset separately, VR is simply a fantastic aspect in the world of contemporary gaming.

 273.
No one can deny that Xbox One X comes with better hardware and somewhat better graphics, but as mentioned above, it is not worth its cost. The only reasons why you might like to go for the Xbox One X is because of the following:

 274.
• If you happen to be a long-term follower of Xbox with an assortment of outdated games that you’d like to enjoy

 275.
• You truly like to have a 4K Blu-ray player in your gaming console

 294.

The Twitter search results for #ACNL will tell you more about Animal Crossing New Leaf’s inimitable appeal in 140 (or fewer) characters than I could possibly hope to over the course of a lengthy review. From the ecstatic: “GUYS! I HAVE A DOUBLE RAINBOW IN MY TOWN!” to the poignant: “Sometimes, it feels like you’ll never meet the villager you were meant to be with”, to the appreciative: “Isabelle, for all your hard work, your own bathroom by town hall!”, the response via social media to New Leaf which, in series terms, reaches new heights of personalisation and communication, is richly appropriate.

 295.
New Leaf’s biggest change is that now not only are you the new resident in the town of your naming (which in my case is Glowy, following a tradition of naming Animal Crossing towns after imaginary pet rabbits), but you are also the mayor. What this means in practice isn’t a huge difference to the dynamics of play: the loops of routine, discovery and commerce still apply, but your extra powers include the ability to build new public projects (everything from bridges to a bench), while so-called town ordinances affect the way the town runs. Each of these four laws impacting subtly, yet perceptibly on issues such as shop opening hours and the attitudes of your fellow dwellers. This is all managed from your very own town hall, where the aforementioned Isabelle (your assistant, who is a puppy), will keep you abreast of approval ratings and other areas of mayoral importance.

 296.
Thankfully this shift doesn’t alter the core of Animal Crossing. There is still a simple joy in conducting your daily routines, and before long New Leaf settles into a familiarity that series veterans will fondly recall, while the basics are extremely easy for newcomers to pick up. For all its surface pleasantries (fossil collecting, fishing, eccentric conversations) however it’s money – as in the boring real world – that is key in the land of New Leaf.

 297.
Bells, the currency of choice, not only act as the means for your own personal consumerism but are also essential to the mayoral decisions discussed earlier. That new centrepiece fountain isn’t going to build itself of course, and this treatment of commerce is arguably the most fascinating aspect of the Animal Crossing games. Both gently education and reflection of player psychology, your pursuit and expenditure of bells will likely say more about you as a person than you may realise. For example, focus on earning bells to pay off your ever-increasing mortgage and you may think that the town is starting to feel neglected as a result, while there’s also nothing wrong with taking your time and avoiding a feverish clamour to accumulating wealth. New Leaf, then, is ideologically flexible, and apolitical utopia in which perhaps the most puzzling aspect is the perverse economics at play (e.g three oranges can earn you enough to buy one, albeit basic, bed).

 298.
New Leaf also continues to prove that, however similar and welcoming the mechanics may be in the home console versions, it’s the portable editions of Animal Crossing that really make sense for tending to your town and its real-time fluctuations. The 3DS isn’t wasted in this regard, with its integrated social features really helping expand the scope of the experience on offer. From a basic level, such as StressPass collecting the data from passersby so you can then visit their homes, or play coins being used to purchase rare Nintendo-themed items in game, to a more advanced implementation of online play, where up to 4 players can visit each other’s towns, Animal Crossing has never felt more open to sharing. As the reactions on Twitter suggest (not to mention the fact that 25 of the 33 Miis I have encountered since launch day has been playing this), New Leaf has appeared to capture the imagination of gamers more than any previous entry in the series.

 299.
It’s not a complete overhaul of the series, but it’s an entry that intelligently pushes Animal Crossing into new areas of control and creativity. New Leaf has already passed into that rarefied place whereby play isn’t just a matter of getting from A to B before moving onto the next challenge; it’s a compulsion, a daily routine as normal as brushing my teeth or feeding my rabbit (if I actually owned one). It’s only right that we should return to Twitter for the final word: “Made it just in time to unload my turnips for 436 bells each right before noon. Good thing I was cautious yesterday!”

The post Animal Crossing: New Leaf first appeared on Dpadmagazine.com.

 316.
A lighthouse gleams in the murky distance, choppy seas accompanying your progress towards the dimming light. Clues to your identity are to be found in a wooden box offered with little explanation. Once inside a journey starts to a fantastical world… Bioshock Infinite plays fast and loose with the parallels to the original Bioshock in ways you might expect, and then, as the game progresses, in ways which play on this very expectation. But like everything in this meticulously crafted game nothing is done without purpose or meaning; this is no re-tread merely transposing the ocean for the sky, but an evolution of everything the original game did so well with enough surprises to keep the game feeling fresh throughout.

 317.
Rather than a descent to a ruined metropolis, this time you ascend, through the clouds, to Columbia, a floating city in the sky, a vision as strikingly realised as it is metaphorically apt for the vision of the city’s ruler, Comstock, or as he is more frequently referred to: the Prophet. You play as Booker DeWitt, a guy at the end of his rope, offered a chance for redemption as a simple mission statement; bring us the girl, and wipe away the debt. The girl in question is Elizabeth, the daughter of the Prophet who has been locked away in a tower for her whole life. As you enter Columbia the game feels overwhelming, deliberate disorientation coupled with a barrage of imagery and ideology leaves you stumbling through the streets of this seeming paradise struggling to take it all in. And what a creation it is. Simply put Columbia is one of the great videogame worlds, an idea so fantastical that it shouldn’t work is realised spectacularly from the moment you enter right up until the end. Monuments and entire neighbourhoods sway on beds of clouds, Zeppelins drift high above and all the while the rest of the city stretches out into the distance. Bathed in sunlight it is a vision, a refreshingly unique creation but one that is more than a gimmick. It soon become apparent that all is not as it seems in Columbia, and like the first Bioshock there is a taciturn understanding required of the player; things are going to get pretty weird and you’re going to have to try and keep up.

 318.
At its heart Bioshock Infinite is still a shooter and retains many of the mechanics from the original game, though here the plasmids that infused your left hand with powers in Rapture have been replaced with vigors, which do essentially the same job. From sending out fireballs or electric bursts to a swarm of crows these remain a fun and inventive way of mixing up the games combat. You can equip two vigors at once, and two weapons, allowing you plenty of combinations to experiment with as you come up against the various foes of Columbia, These range from your standard troops to mechanised Patriots and even the fearsome Handyman, and there is enough variety in type and setting to prevent the combat from getting stale.

 319.
In fact combat feels a lot tighter and more enjoyable than in the original game, and this is in part due to one of the games strongest gameplay innovations: the skyrails. Early on you acquire a hook that allows you to graft onto rails that run through areas of the city, opening up combat scenarios to take place in large, spacious multi-level environments allowing for some wonderfully enjoyable situations. Key to this is that the controls for the skyrails work perfectly; the game lets you dismount at any time, even allowing direct attack onto unsuspecting enemies and I never once fell to my death. Once you get the hang of it, it really does feel like something genuinely new, and there are few things as satisfying as using the lines to zip around a series of levels taking out enemies as you go, all the while mixing up your vigors and weapons in such a fluid manner. The only real shame is that there aren’t nearly enough of these situations, and you are often restricted to indoor combat, or more standard level design, which pales in comparison to the larger encounters.

The post Bioshock Infinite first appeared on Dpadmagazine.com.

 334.

Review of Game The Elder Scrolls v Skyrim

 335.
Like all the great and awesome RPGs, the fifth installment of the Elder Scrolls gameplay is a fabulous and a grand enterprise. It is huge when it comes to scale, an absolute breathtaking epic when it comes to the game’s scope and breadth, and will undoubtedly occupy your time’s a very vast quantity. Mild warning: You may lose your sleep, you may also dodge your work and classes, and test the patience of your family and friends while you get lost in this epic game. Okay, so all of these might sound a little exaggerated, but trust us on this – this game is absolutely fantastic and will become your favorite before you realize. Need more reasons? Keep reading.

 336.
Oblivion Vs Skyrim!

 337.
We believe that this game can cast a huge shadow over this genre for years to come; much like what the game, “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” did when it came out. If you remember, you will recall that Oblivion rose victorious despite the competition from the awesome games like Witcher 2, Mass Effect 2, and Fallout 3. The Elder Scrolls v Skyrim will surely improve upon it and may eventually prove to be better comparatively. The main reason behind that is the fact that not only this game has fantastic magic system, breathtaking graphics, mind blowing action, the best kind of narrative compared to any RPG, this game has also one of the richest, biggest, and most fully immersive worlds that you have ever seen so far. However, it may fall short when you compare its graphics with games like Uncharted 3 or Gears of War 3, but it still has a very impressive graphics.

 338.
The world inside!

 339.
Yet there is something fantastic about the Skyrim’s Nordic lands, which will drag you in its world and won’t let you escape. The rugged mountains, the alpine vistas, gushing waterfalls, and towering pines are magnificently created. The thought and work that went into the game’s art direction made every underground tomb, crumbling ruin, and isolated village feel distinctive and appealing, yet part of few cohesive whole, with a culture, a style, and a history that informs every forged motif and every carving. It is one of the rare games in which the music, sound, and the visuals merge together perfectly into one excellent experience, which will have you in its grip.

 340.
Plots and sub-plots!

 341.
Skyrim is a game that always encourages exploration. This is a game that has a central point as well as side quests. For example, while turning a corner of one mountain, you may spot one ruin or a camp that demands investigation; you can then play along and get involved in that sub-plot that can be either a serial killer or something dark. In addition to that, this game lets you explore your character as well. For example, there are parts where you can choose to either be a gruff warrior or a sweet talker to get out of the situation. You can side with the Companions or just join the Thieves Guild. These features make the game so vast and the chances of getting carried away so much higher. This is truly an addictive game.

 342.
Gameplay

 343.
Skyrim continues the work of Oblivion of make the RPG simpler. On the formats of console, combat comes down effectively to the two buttons for trigger, with each of them controlling one hand. Further, you can assign any weapon, shield, or spell to either trigger. You will be able to attack or charge spells and block the incoming blows by holding the trigger. Furthermore, when you combine movements and attacks, you will be able to unleash some mind blowing devastating and different moves.

 344.
Interestingly, if you are willing to play as dual-wielding axe warrior or a warrior-mage maniac, it is easy. All you have to do is just assign a weapon and a spell, or any arm that you can choose. You can also set favorites, which will give you an access to the list of the spells that you used most as well as the most-used weapons!

 345.
Wrapping up!

 346.
We played The Elder Scrolls v Skyrim and we loved it! The game is addictive and will suck you into its majestic and fantastic world. We compared its features with all the similar games and it stands out. We reviewed the game and assure you that this is the best game for you right at this time.

The post The Elder Scrolls v Skyrim 2 first appeared on Dpadmagazine.com.

 361.

It may be difficult to appreciate the significance of Tintin’s big-screen debut, especially if you weren’t brought up on Herge’s classic comics (which were released from 1929 right through to 1983) or even the ace early-90s animation – but Spielberg’s interpretation of the young Belgian reporter is, for a particular demographic, a very big thing indeed. The reaction to The Secret Of The Unicorn has been generally aghast at the perceived liberties taken by Steven and co, alongside misgivings with its use of technology, culminating in one writer claiming that he had left the cinema feeling “as though I had witnessed a rape”.

 362.

 363.

 364.
It’s safe to assume that nobody, after a few hours spent with Ubisoft’s affectionate take on Tintin, will be comparing the experience to, er, rape. Thankfully the game takes greater inspiration from the aforementioned comics and animated serial, as opposed to from Hollywood’s big-budget outing. Lovely touches abound; selecting the next level involves traversing a charming hand-drawn map, while the loading screens see Tintin and Snowy running together in front of a yellow spotlight instantly familiar from the show’s opening titles.

 365.
The success of Tintin the videogame is based on a simple design philosophy. Instead of heading down the thorny path towards CG ‘actors’ and 3D special effects, Ubisoft Montpellier (the studio from which this year’s superlative From Dust emerged, as well as playing host to the creative talents of one Michel Ancel) have instead embraced the aesthetic upon which Tintin’s success was first based: two-dimensional panels, crisply drawn, the trace of human involvement intentionally present. The visuals may lack the line-drawn clarity of Herge’s work, but they have a warmth and personality that is also reflected in the boisterous pace of the gameplay.

 366.
This is manifested in two central areas: the control over the player’s experience and the mechanics of combat. Of the former Ubisoft have, in the main story mode at least, adopted an unapologetically linear approach. Freedom does come in the shape of regular single-screen location-based puzzles in which the aim is to usually figure out how to clear the screen of enemies, but otherwise Tintin’s single-player adventure is tightly controlled, albeit punctuated by enough witty little ideas to keep the momentum zipping along. One minute you’ll be using a flashlight to illuminate a darkened room, the next you’ll be swinging along the side of a boat; Ubisoft have good form in 2D platform game design, and it’s a knowledge used with great effect here.

 367.
A simple control system supports the neat visuals and level design. In general the ‘A’ button is used for most functions, its context-sensitive nature allowing for jumping, rolling and climbing wherever necessary. Combat meanwhile is on a separate button. In general Tintin can take on the bad guys with basic punches, but it’s more fun to make use of various environment-specific attacks. These include banana skins causing enemies to slip straight into a wall, or a well-aimed projectile causing a chandelier to crash onto an unsuspecting group below. Of course, in Tintin nobody tends to actually die, but collapse to the floor in slapstick fashion, stars circling their heads.

 368.
Aside from the single-player Tintin also includes one further game mode of note. Co-op is a series of specifically designed platforming sections that take place in the booze-addled nightmares of Captain Haddock. The developers, presumably free from having to reflect the film’s narrative, here embrace surrealism with great effect, and there’s great fun to be had in playing through with a friend. The disappointing aspect to this is that online isn’t supported, as it would be easy to see an online supported co-op mode becoming something of a cultish pursuit.

 369.
The Secret Of The Unicorn is an extremely successful tie-in to what is a controversial film. It’s a slight shame that, whether for reasons of budget or resources, it feels a little truncated (the aforementioned lack of online co-op, and the necessarily limited nature of the single-player mode are the two most notable flaws), but then that just brings forth the tantalising image of how good a Tintin game based purely on Herge’s comics, with no filmic tie-in to consider, would be from the design team behind Beyond Good & Evil… Possibly the best family-orientated game of the year and certainly a must for Tintin fans.

 385.

L.A. Noire Game Review

 386.
You need to know several things while beginning to play the L.A. Noire and one of them is that it isn’t simply a set Grand Theft Auto of the 1940s. Although it comes with plenty of shooting and driving in an open world, its main emphasis lies on investigation. And while you are perhaps already aware of the detective-sim elements of the game, it might be surprising to you to learn that you will be spending a considerable amount of time inquiring suspects and checking out crime scenes. In fact, you’re going to chase down the suspects or even demolish them in the long run.

 387.
Another notable thing about this game is that it does not pull a lot of punches whatsoever. It involves the story of a committed young detective plus war hero whose name is Cole Phelps who will be working his way up the ranks of the LAPD. While playing this game, you will continually be exposed to a cesspit of corruption and violence which is lurking just underneath the radiant glamour, and the task of Phelps will be to come into frequent contacts with mourning families, drunkards who are in the habit of beating their wives, creepy rapists, and at least several naked, burnt and/or battered corpses.

 388.
The content in this game is not much more graphic as compared to any typical television cop drama that you see on a regular basis (except the occasional nudity); however, it tends to be a weighty subject matter for any game of its category with not much of the wry humor which usually characterizes most of the releases made by Rockstar till now.

 389.
Presuming that you’re not feeling intimidated by what we have asserted so far, it is likely that you are going to enjoy playing L.A. Noire in the long run. Combining effectively different aspects from the Ace Attorney games, GTA, and the combined works of Raymond Chandler plus James Ellroy, this particular game appears to be like the first genuine and comprehensive detective sim that you will ever come across.

 390.
It is likewise the most engaging and compelling too. While unfolding across as many as 21 different cases, interesting narratives are woven by this game about serial killers, gangsters, corrupt physicians plus a thieved shipment of military-grade morphine – and whilst all of them appear to be separate, they will come together slowly for creating a bigger and overarching story which is not 100% apparent until the very conclusion. It is possible to carry out all these with the help of some mind-boggling acting which (due to the innovative facial-capture technology used in this game) is somewhat scary plus deeply convincing at the same time.

 391.
Cole is in the middle of everything: educated, apparently humorless and straitlaced who is trying to make himself famous by earning citations. Initially, Cole comes off as sort of a robotic douche. However, this is going to change over time, and you will slowly come to know that he is much more complex than what he actually seems to be. While waiting for Cole to grow on you, his 5 partners will provide you with lots of personalities and they will be changing with every single “desk” worked on by this person while you are playing this game.

 392.
Several of them are cranky, some are rather amicable, and others are absolute hooligans; however, one of them is going to stick to Cole every single time for running commentary, providing hints, fire support plus the capability of traveling fast at any given point on the large map provided you do not like to drive. Moreover, they might even get in the way, and therefore, make it a point not to step into any cramped dead ends; otherwise, you might become stuck.

 393.
How to play the game?

 394.
It does not matter which particular desk you are actually on, and most of the cases are going to involve 6 basic gameplay types; interrogation, fighting, running, investigation, shooting, and driving. At the time of the investigation sequences, you will be set loose in the middle of a crime scenario (or any other interesting place) and roam about searching for clues that can vary between nasty and unpleasant wounds on a corpse and apparently insignificant documentation. In most cases, it will not be adequate to simply find them and you will usually need to open an item or perhaps move it around somewhat so as to clarify its significance.

 395.
You’ll come across an innovative assist feature which will help to make this less daunting which will vibrate the controller while playing a piano tone as soon as you are close to a clue. While the assist is enjoyable, it will also turn in investigations into bouts of aimless wandering looking for the subsequent buzz; therefore, this feature can be turned off by anyone who would rather make use of their actual observation powers. In any case, the “investigation” music is going to play until every single clue has been found in spite of the fact that they can be turned off too.

 396.
The clues found by you can play an important role in the interrogation stage during which it will make use of the notebook of Cole (that functions suspiciously just like a PDA) for inquiring queries of suspects plus witnesses. This is the place where the remarkable face-capture technology of Noire comes into play since it will be imperative for you to observe their expressions so as to find out whether they are actually hiding anything.

 397.
Although the facial capture feature permits a wide range of expressions made by humans, there is no need to be concerned of the actors being excessively subtle; they’re going to stare right into the eyes of Cole provided what they are telling is true.

 398.
Think of this as the accuse/press system from Phoenix Wright, with the exception that you will get only one opportunity of judging each answer correctly. If you end up providing quite a few wrong answers then it will also be possible to complete the case on a successful note. The game will always find a solution because of the branching outcomes whether it is by redirecting you back to the same clue which you have missed or by including an 11th-hour witness. However, your captain might shout at you for your incompetence.

 399.
It is a nice thing that it will be possible to draw on a pool of as many as 5 “intuition” points which are awarded for solving any smaller case and leveling up the rank of Cole too. This will also award accessibility to some exclusive vehicles and innovative outfits as well. Spending an “intuition” point will allow you to avoid making any wrong answer and you might even go online to observe how the other players are providing answers to the questions. You can also reveal all of the clues at any crime scene in case you get stumped at the time of an investigation.

 400.
Thus after going through this comprehensive L.A. Noire game review, it can be rightly asserted that this game resembles a television show more closely unlike any film. However, it can easily outwit any motion picture hands-down when it comes to the sheer amount of amusement which it offers to the gamers across the globe.

The post l.A Noire first appeared on Dpadmagazine.com.
