Narveson showcased elite leg strength by making a season-high 57-yard kick. For his career, Narveson made 71-of-91 kicks (78%).</p><p id="cYR0RX">Narveson was a graduate student at NC State that previously played at Western Kentucky. That connection made him eligible to attend the Titans’ local pro day workout. Independent sources confirmed to Music City Miracles that Narveson put forth an impressive showing at the local day, which is where Tennessee’s interest in him was elevated. Titans special teams coach Colt Anderson was especially impressed with Narveson’s workout.</p><p id="TAxhBi">Narveson faces an uphill battle trying to dethrone Folk. It’s worth remembering many felt the same when Ryan Stonehouse entered a training camp battle with Brett Kern. You never know. General manager Ran Carthon will eventually require a succession plan for the aging Folk. That’s not uncommon for an undrafted free agent. Martin-Robinson was a slightly undersized prospect (6-3, 247) that recorded 40 receptions for 537 receiving yards and four touchdowns.</p><p id="KfrSBu">Martin-Robinson is an impressive athlete. At Temple’s Pro Day, he ran an outstanding 4.65 40-yard dash with an elite 10-yard split (1.54). Martin-Robinson also ran an elite 4.08 shuttle, leaped a 35.5 inch vertical, and 9-foot-10 broad jump. Martin-Robinson.’s 8.73 out of 10 Relative Athletic Score makes him the second-most athletic UDFA to sign in Tennessee, trailing just <a href="https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2024/4/30/24145459/titans-2024-udfa-primer-cole-spencer-is-tennessees-high-priced-addition"><strong>Cole Spencer</strong></a>.</p><p id="IkvLR6">The Titans are in the market for third (and maybe fourth) string tight ends. The Farley experiment has been a huge bust. Who could have seen a player who had multiple back surgeries in college having trouble staying healthy in the NFL? Oh, everyone you say? Well, apparently everyone with the exception of Jon Robinson. </p><p id="OXttS9">I could be wrong, but I have always thought the success Jeffery Simmons had coming off a major injury made Robinson think he could get lightning to strike twice and hit with Farley. Spoiler alert: It did not.</p><p id="5R15uZ">Robinson’s hit rate of 5th-year options is a big part of the reason that he is no longer the general manager in Tennessee. He was the general manager for seven drafts with the Tennessee Titans and made eight first-round picks:</p><p id="ovGDzC">2016: Jack Conklin</p><p id="vjdjlD">2017: Corey Davis</p><p id="TIlr4I">2017: Adoree Jackson</p><p id="fnSOwQ">2018: Rashaan Evans</p><p id="AiepYC">2019: Jeffery Simmons</p><p id="JdSopf">2020: Isaiah Wilson</p><p id="x3aAfz">2021: Caleb Farley</p><p id="VEAEkv">2022: Treylon Burks</p><p id="W2mF2M">Only two of those guys, Jackson and Simmons, had their fifth-year options picked up, and they ended up cutting Jackson before he ever played on his. Burks has yet to reach the point where they have to make a decision on his option, but I think it’s safe to say the Titans will not be picking it up.</p><p id="lAAuCl">Farley is set to play on the final year of his rookie contract in 2024. Boyd accumulated 361 receptions for 4.144 yards and 21 touchdowns across those five seasons. In Boyd’s first season playing under Callahan, he recorded a single-season career-high 1,046 yards. It was Boyd’s second consecutive 1,000 yard showing. There’s obviously a lot of familiarity between Boyd and Callahan.</p><p id="sW8Wnb">Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins will start on the boundary for the Titans in 2024. The slot position is currently up for grabs, with the likes of Kyle Philips, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Mason Kinsey <a href="https://twitter.com/TDavenport_NFL/status/1778116319218405701">said</a> to be in contention. The Titans gave Duke $52,500 in total guarantees, including $40,000 in salary guarantees. He played his entire college football career at Kansas State, totaling 14 sacks and 125 tackles across five seasons. Duke is an undersized pass rusher that pairs speed with first-step explosiveness.</p><p id="j0pWNl">Duke’s athletic profile is a mixed bag. The Atlanta, Georgia native ran a solid 4.79 40 with average splits of 2.8 and 1.69 at 6-foot-3 and 248 pounds. Play strength has been an issue, and Duke recorded just 21 reps on the bench press. It’s oversimplified, but it can be a good indicator of how we feel about those things.</p><p id="a0dago">So with that being said, did the Titans come out of the 2024 NFL Draft as winners or losers? </p><p id="5cTmLv">For me it’s pretty simple, if JC Latham fixes the massive hole they’ve had at left tackle for the last two years the Titans are winners in this draft. I’ve spent the past few days familiarizing myself with all of them. I’ve also confirmed various reported signings through independent sources.</p><p id="MAwOsu">One of those signings is Texas Tech interior offensive linemen Cole Spencer, according to NFL insider Aaron Wilson. The Titans gave Spencer $75,000 in total guarantees, including $65,000 in salary guarantees. My sourcing indicates this makes Spencer the Titans’ best-paid undrafted free agent. I had previously reported that he spent extensive time meeting with offensive line coach Bill Callahan following the conclusion of the local day. A preseason injury caused Spencer to miss the entire 2022 campaign. He transferred to Texas Tech ahead of 2023, where he appeared in six games primarily as a left guard before suffering another season-ending injury. There’s some injury-related concern here.</p><p id="0GZc1d">In addition to impressing Callahan and Co. at the local day, Spencer enjoyed a phenomenal on-field workout at The Big 12 Pro Day. Spencer ran a lightning-quick 4.89 40-yard dash, which would have been the fastest-recorded time of any offensive linemen at the NFL Combine. I’d bet a ton of money that they will not be picking this high, but Brugler is right, if they are picking this high things went terribly with Levis. That would put the Titans in the market for a quarterback.</p><p id="O1JVCk">One important note here, there is no chance the <a href="https://www.catscratchreader.com/">Carolina Panthers</a> take a defensive lineman with the first overall pick here. They would either trade the pick or be looking for a quarterback themselves because the Bryce Young experiment would be in bad shape if they are picking first.</p><p id="trPbw6">With all of that being said, Brugler has the Titans taking Carson Beck, QB, Georgia with the second overall pick.
