  11. My tool using is probably coming to an end, so cheapo from the local all-night hardware store might do. BUT the Youtuberry shows weird cranked Edward Scissor Hands stylee things that the hardware store (and probably all of Taiwan) dont have.</p>
  12. <p>To see if the wee cheapo thing would fit, I unpackaged it, and…er…removed the circlip.</p>
  13. <p>MORAL DILEMMA</p>
  14. <p>I now don’t really need to buy it, since I’ll probably never use it again, and it would be sneakily satisfying to just walk away. In The Yook I might have done that.</p>
  15. <p>But I am Ambassador For Scotland, carrying the White Mans Burden. Its cheap anyway.</p>
  16. <p>I paid up.</p>

  33.        <description><![CDATA[ <p>In my textbook, there is the following Q/A exchange asking about a when a person went to see his friend.</p>
  34. <p>Q: 他是什麼時候去看的朋友？<br>
  35. A: 他買了東西，就去看朋友去了。</p>
  36. <p>The textbook didn’t provide a clear explanation of the A part of this exchange, and I don’t think that I’ve seen this exact construction before, where 去 occurs twice. It seems as if the first 去看 is acting as a topic maybe, and the second 去了 is indicating the completed action. Is that right?</p>
  37. <p>Why can’t we just rephrase it as follows, and use 去 only once? Does the meaning change if we rephrase it this way?</p>

  139. But the recent 8 billion in “aid” to Taiwan of which some other Americans complain to me about is in fact mostly going to the U.S. navy for submarines.<br>
  140. The bill itself only mentions some training for Taiwan.<br>
  141. I haven’t looked at the Israel bill so not sure if it’s a similar thing.<br>

However, since I personally did not have HHR when my kid was born, TECO said that my kid will have to live in Taiwan for 10 months. I haven’t heard of the 10 month rule before, only 12 months with TARC under the previous rule, so I will update you when I hear back.</p>
