I am just getting into the RepRap thing ordered a kit to get me started but am more than happy to offer feedback on any of your design elements/bounce ideas off of as this is one of the projects I envisioned from the start.<br />In terms of all the nuts and bolts in the pic one of the things I wanted to try for myself is to create a c-clamp kind of thing using the thread kit off of thingiverse and set it so those would grab the bars etc rather than using metal bits. Not sure if it would grip enough however. <br /><br />The follow focus addon would be good too. It's just a shoulder-support. The design is parameterized, so you can adjust it easily as a global variable (lower_rails_x_offset and lower_rails_y_offset). I won't be able to tweek it until the shoulder strap bracket is fully designed. I have an idea of what I want but I haven't yet committed it to github. I don't think the distance needs to be adjustable in a part, since it's easy to print many different parts and keep them around for different configurations and distances (the parameterized design makes this trivial).<br /><br />Quick release will probably be added later; using nuts and bolts is easier than worrying about the quick release for now.<br /><br />Eric]]></description> <dc:creator>ewaters</dc:creator> <category>Let's design something!
