  99. &lt;br /&gt;When teachers make changes to an assignment that is aligned to multiple sections, they now have the option to apply those changes to other aligned sections or not. Changes are grouped by Dates, Grading, and Content, which includes the Summary and any attached content or tasks. After saving a change, a pop-up displays, allowing the teacher to mark which changes should be applied to which sections.
  100. &lt;br /&gt;• Adding an Assignment to a Section Group
  101. &lt;br /&gt;Teachers now have the option of creating an assignment in the Grade Book when viewing the Grade Book for a Section Group. All sections in the Section Group are added to the assignment. The Grading options available are those that apply to all of the assignment&#39;s sections. Teachers can modify dates and grading setup by clicking Add/Edit in the Sections list.
  102. &lt;br /&gt;• New - Default Scoring Settings in Categories
  103. &lt;br /&gt;The Categories editor has been updated so that teachers can set default scoring information by category. For each category, teachers can select a Default Scoring Type and enter Default Points and a Default Multiplier, for all instances of the category via the table header or individually by section. When a category is selected on the assignment editor, the scoring type, points, and multiplier populate based on the default options established.
  104. &lt;br /&gt;• Multi-Aligned Assignments Issue
  105. &lt;br /&gt;Previously, if a teacher created an assignment with multiple alignments, individualized it, scored it, and then tried to remove one of the alignments, an error occurred. This has been corrected.

  131. &lt;br /&gt;
  132. &lt;br /&gt;A missing student’s educational records in Infinite Campus (IC) will be automatically flagged when the Kentucky State Police notifies the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE). It is imperative that principals ensure all appropriate school and district personnel are aware of the situation and that they comply with the stipulations of the statutes. They must immediately report to local law enforcement or the Kentucky State Police if any of the following occurs: someone in the school knows of the student’s whereabouts; the identified student is currently present at the school; or an individual or a school requests the student’s records. A student records transfer request cannot be processed if the student is actively missing and staff should not manually alter the flag in Infinite Campus.

  134. &lt;br /&gt;IC will automatically end-date the flag when KDE receives notification from Kentucky State Police that a missing student is located.

  205. &lt;br /&gt;Good morning, it has come to our attention that the Infinite Campus drop list of Accommodation Type under Program Participation | English Learner - Accommodations tab there is a duplicate value. Currently, there are two options for Model Lang/Task Completion (I), one with an invalid code of MC-L and another with the correct code of ML-I. To ensure the invalid code of MC-L is not selected on student records moving forward, KDE will deactivate this code effective 6/30/2021. This will not affect any active records with the MC-L code. KDE will also work with Infinite Campus to create a script to convert any existing, active MC-L records to the correct code of ML-I. Notification will be sent to districts when this update is ready to be deployed. No action is required of the schools or districts at this time.

  228. &lt;br /&gt;KDE has recently received several questions about when to mark the Extra Year In Primary flag in Infinite Campus. We are in the process of updating the Enrollment Data Standard to better explain the flag. This flag should only be used if a school has a primary program as defined by statute and regulation. Below are the updates that will be in the data standard later this summer, but we wanted to send this out now since many schools and districts may be working on this over the summer. For each school having a primary program as defined and established in KRS 158.031 and 704 KAR 3:440, if it is determined that a primary student is not prepared for entrance into the fourth grade, an additional year in primary may be offered to the student and the Extra Year in Primary box should be checked. Schools that do not have a primary program do not need to check the box. The local school district must determine if the student has met the requirements for promotion to fourth grade. Example: According to student records maintained by the school, student A has not met the necessary requirements to complete the primary program. The school will be offering a fifth year in primary to the student to fully prepare the student for fourth grade. The student should be marked as Retained on any previous year enrollments where he/she was retained but should not be marked with the Extra Year in Primary indicator until his/her the fifth-year enrollment in the primary program.

It may take a couple of days for the process to be completed in all districts. This Campus process will not change any KAS content that has previously been imported.

  257. &lt;br /&gt;This process will assign a rubric called “Blank Rubric” to the new KAS items. Districts can assign a different rubric in the Standards Bank or rename “Blank Rubric” and define the scores as desired. Next steps for utilizing the KAS in Infinite Campus include configuring rubrics and aligning standards to courses.

  563. &lt;br /&gt;In response to the implementation of Senate Bill 128 allowing students a supplemental year for the 2021-2022 school year, many districts have questions with the end of year approaching. New functionality is being added to Infinite Campus to appropriately flag students participating in the Supplemental School Year Program (SSYP). Details will be released when it is available, hopefully by mid-summer.
  564. &lt;br /&gt;Students participating in the SSYP should not be considered or marked as “Retained” on the student’s enrollment in Infinite Campus (IC). SSYP students will not be considered a retention in state reporting.
  565. &lt;br /&gt;Information on the new process to flag SSYP students will be provided in conjunction with the July Infinite Campus release.
  566. &lt;br /&gt;School Report Card Finance Domain Opens to the Public
  567. &lt;br /&gt;The School Report Card Finance Domain was released to the public today.
  568. &lt;br /&gt;Over the past six weeks, districts validated, and approved district-level financial data entered by the Kentucky Department of Education and calculated/ entered school-level spending per student data. Statewide financial data also is available on the card.
  569. &lt;br /&gt;Once again, districts had the option to enter a financial narrative to be displayed on the Financial Summary domain. The narrative gives parents, community members and researchers a better understanding of the district’s financial picture, which cannot be gathered by looking at the data alone.

  677. &lt;br /&gt;• A new State Seals Information section has been added to the Graduation tool. This section allows users to track and manage a student’s state seal, the date the student earned the seal, and the language in which the student became proficient and/or earned a state seal.
  678. &lt;br /&gt;Safe Schools Updated to Include In-District Removal Resolutions • Safe Schools sub report SS5: State Resolutions not reported in SS1 - SS4 has been updated to the following requirement:
  679. &lt;br /&gt;o All state event codes not related to assault, violence, deadly weapons, controlled substances, bullying or harassment must have a state resolution of suspension, expulsion, corporal punishment, restraint or seclusion (SSP1, SSP2, SSP3, SSP5, SSP7, SSP8, INDR, INSR, IAES1, IAES2) to be reported in the Safe Schools extract.
  680. &lt;br /&gt;• Discipline Resolution Category ‘In-School Removal (INSR)’ has been updated to report the sum of distinct In- School Removal (INSR) and In-District (INDR) resolutions by student groups.
  681. &lt;br /&gt;• Behavior editor validations for resolutions mapped to a State Resolution Mapping ‘IAES – Unilateral Removal by School Personnel – SPED only’ has been updated to no longer prevent saving the resolution if the student lacks an active IEP or Consent to Evaluate within the last 60 school days.

To add an assignment to multiple sections, click the Save and Add Sections button after entering the initial assignment details. Select the desired sections in the list that displays and then modify dates and grading as desired. Dates autopopulate to match the original assignment. Set grading individually or click the Fill button in the column header to set grading en masse. Any grading details that can apply to all sections (such as an alignment that is valid in all) populate by default.

  1154. &lt;br /&gt;Infinite Campus will load the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Technology beginning April 14. It may take a couple of days for the process to be completed in all districts. This Campus process will not change any KAS content that has previously been imported.
  1155. &lt;br /&gt;
  1156. &lt;br /&gt;This process will assign a rubric called “Blank Rubric” to the new KAS items. Districts can assign a different rubric in the Standards Bank or rename “Blank Rubric” and define the scores as desired. Next steps for utilizing the KAS in Infinite Campus include configuring rubrics and aligning standards to courses.

  1158. &lt;br /&gt;The KAS in Infinite Campus should be regarded as an interactive digital companion that can provide direct support for teachers who wish to utilize such features as standards-based grading, progress monitoring, and lesson planning in Infinite Campus. To design high-quality, standards-aligned instruction, educators should continue to use the KAS documents available on the KYstandards.org. Additionally, for digital efficiencies, this will establish the framework to include future course-by-course, course code alignment with connected academic standards through our statewide student information system.

  1198. &lt;br /&gt;Safe Schools sub report SS5: State Resolutions not reported in SS1 - SS4 has been updated to the following requirement:

  1200. &lt;br /&gt;• All state event codes not related to assault, violence, deadly weapons, controlled substances, bullying or harassment must have a state resolution of suspension, expulsion, corporal punishment, restraint or seclusion (SSP1, SSP2, SSP3, SSP5, SSP7, SSP8, INDR, INSR, IAES1, IAES2) to be reported in the Safe Schools extract.
  1201. &lt;br /&gt;
  1202. &lt;br /&gt;Discipline Resolution Category ‘In-School Removal (INSR)’ has been updated to report the sum of distinct In-School Removal (INSR) and In-District (INDR) resolutions by student groups.
  1203. &lt;br /&gt;
  1204. &lt;br /&gt;o a State Resolution Mapping ‘IAES – Unilateral Removal by School Personnel – SPED only’ has been updated to no longer prevent saving the resolution if the student lacks an active IEP or Consent to Evaluate within the last 60 school days.

  1206. &lt;br /&gt;The Removal Reason field has been added to the Safe Schools Detail Report. This new field reports the removal reason associated with the behavior resolution.

  1368. &lt;br /&gt;As you may be aware, Senate Bill 128 was signed into law by Governor Beshear earlier this week.    Subject to approval by the school/district, this bill makes it possible for high school students enrolled during the 2020-2021 year to request to use the 2021-2022 year to retake or supplement the courses they have taken.  KHEAA is providing the following guidance on how student eligibility for the Dual Credit scholarship, Work Ready DC scholarship, and Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES) programs will work for students that take the ‘do over’ option.  Feel free to share this news with others in your school district who may need this information.
  1369. &lt;br /&gt;
  1370. &lt;br /&gt; Dual Credit Scholarship (DCS)
  1371. &lt;br /&gt;• The DCS program is statutorily limited to two successfully completed dual credit courses.   Students in grades 11 or 12 for the 2021-2022 academic year will be able to use whatever DCS eligibility they have remaining at the end of the 2020-2021 year.  
  1372. &lt;br /&gt;o Students who have only used one DCS and achieved a passing grade in the scholarship course will be eligible for their one remaining DCS next year if they are still in high school and not graduated.  
  1373. &lt;br /&gt;o Students who have used two DCS and achieved passing grades in both scholarship courses have exhausted their eligibility; they will not have any DCS available next year.  
  1374. &lt;br /&gt;o Students who used DCS this year and did not successfully complete their course (failure or withdrawal) will be eligible for another scholarship next year if they are still in high school and not graduated.      
  1375. &lt;br /&gt;• As a reminder, DCS cannot be used for developmental courses, remedial courses, or repeats of the same course.  
  1376. &lt;br /&gt; Work Ready Dual Credit Scholarship  (WKDC)
  1377. &lt;br /&gt;• Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to receive two WKDC scholarships each year for dual credit coursework that is part of a Career and Technical Education pathway.  Although the original intent of the WKDC program was for students to receive two free courses each year of high school for a total of eight, the program’s statutory language does not specify eight courses as a limit.  This means students repeating a grade level next year would be eligible for two WKDC scholarships the same as students advancing to a higher grade level.  
  1378. &lt;br /&gt;• The same rules apply to WKDC as DCS regarding no funding for developmental, remedial, or repeated coursework.
  1379. &lt;br /&gt; Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES)
  1380. &lt;br /&gt;• KEES is limited to one base award for grade point average (GPA) per grade level.
  1381. &lt;br /&gt;• Schools will need to recalculate the annual GPAs of students who repeat a grade next year, just as they would any other year a grade level is repeated.   The GPA calculation should include all of the student’s work for that particular grade level (even if over two academic years), unless the school/district is allowing a course to be repeated with the initial grade being replaced entirely.  
  1382. &lt;br /&gt;• Schools should be aware there is not an automated process for recalculating KEES GPAs in this manner.  All GPA recalculations will need to be performed manually by the schools and then reported to KHEAA via the KEES portal on the agency’s website.
  1383. &lt;br /&gt;  
  1384. &lt;br /&gt; It should be noted that students who graduate from high school during the 2020-2021 year are no longer considered high school students for scholarship purposes and, therefore, are not eligible for Dual Credit or Work Ready Dual Credit scholarships during the 2021-2022 year.  High school graduates who desire to use their KEES awards for postsecondary expenses must be enrolled at the postsecondary level as regular postsecondary students who are subject to full tuition rates.  KEES cannot be used to pay for dual credit.

Per HB208, Districts will be granted no more five (5) NTI days when the school district is closed for health or safety reasons outside of the school’s hybrid schedule from March 29th to the end of the school year. Days that are part of the school’s hybrid model, such as, every Friday students participate virtually so schools can be sanitized will not count as one of the districts 5 allowable NTI days. Beginning on March 29, 2021 any all student virtual days that are part of the school’s hybrid plan should be coded as a regular school day in the school calendar. Only NTI days used outside of a school’s hybrid plan will be coded as N: Non-Traditional Instruction in the school’s calendar up to 5 days.

  1638. &lt;br /&gt;Attendance
  1639. &lt;br /&gt;• The following updates were made to the Virtual Attendance Post tool to improve performance:
  1640. &lt;br /&gt;• The KY_PostNonParticipationToAttendnace stored procedure has been updated to no longer include a complex Check In/Out Delete query for instances where virtual attendance check in/out records do not match the period start and end times for the calendar&#39;s current period schedule.
  1641. &lt;br /&gt;• Period schedules should not be changed after virtual attendance and student participation has been recorded but if this has happened schools should contact Campus Support to ensure their virtual attendance data is accurate.
  1642. &lt;br /&gt;Behavior (expected to be corrected in the Rx pack)
  1643. &lt;br /&gt;• Logic for the Duration in School Days calculation used in a Behavior Resolution has been corrected to accurately calculate the resolution duration for students with multiple enrollments in the same school.

  1645. &lt;br /&gt;• The order of how Attendance Intervention Types appear in the FRYSC Individual Intervention Roster Report has been updated to the following:
  1646. &lt;br /&gt;o i. 0-5 Days Absent
  1647. &lt;br /&gt;o ii. 6-10 Days Absent
  1648. &lt;br /&gt;• iii. 10+ Days Absent
  1649. &lt;br /&gt;KEES Reporting
  1650. &lt;br /&gt;• The following KEES Report fields have been updated to include new logic which includes Grade 14 students:
  1651. &lt;br /&gt;o High School Graduation Date
  1652. &lt;br /&gt; Grade 14 - greater than end year + 0
  1653. &lt;br /&gt;o Academic Classification
  1654. &lt;br /&gt; Student’s grade level must = 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, or 14.
  1655. &lt;br /&gt;o High School Graduation Indicator
  1656. &lt;br /&gt;• Student’s grade level must = 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, or 14.
  1657. &lt;br /&gt;Student Records Transfer
  1658. &lt;br /&gt;• The Process Inbox message for Student Records Transfer release requests has been updated to include the name of the district requesting the release as well as the grade level and school number associated with the student&#39;s local Enrollment record. If the student has an active local Foster Care record, a Due Date equal to the Request Date will be set on the Process Inbox message as well.
  1659. &lt;br /&gt;Core Product
  1660. &lt;br /&gt;Blended Learning/ Scheduling
  1661. &lt;br /&gt;• The following modifications have been made to address date logic and to prepare for end of year processing for Blended Learning Groups:
  1662. &lt;br /&gt;o A school year must be selected in the Campus toolbar in order to create new blended learning groups or adjust existing groups.
  1663. &lt;br /&gt;o Changing the year in the toolbar when in the middle of creating or adjusting groups returns you to the landing page of that tool. Reopening the tool resets the dates to match the selected school year.
  1664. &lt;br /&gt;o When creating a blended learning group, the end date entered in the New Blended Learning Group tool is also added to the database and displays for all student group assignment end dates associated with the group.
  1665. &lt;br /&gt;o End dates can only be entered if it is the current date or in the future.
  1666. &lt;br /&gt;o End dates are required when editing or adjusting groups.
  1667. &lt;br /&gt;o Extending a future group end date does not update the student group assignment end date.
  1668. &lt;br /&gt;o Shortening a future group end date does update or delete any group assignment or day rotation necessary.
  1669. &lt;br /&gt;• Blended Learning Group names can only be used one time per school year.
  1670. &lt;br /&gt;• A new Exclude Summer School Calendars checkbox has been added to the New Blended Learning Groups tool. When marked, any summer school calendar (Summer School checkbox is marked on the Calendar Information editor) is ignored when Blended Learning Groups are created (step 2. Group Day Rotation).
  1671. &lt;br /&gt;• Corrects issue where users could not remove a Blended Learning Group from a current or future date in Calendar Days.
  1672. &lt;br /&gt;o A new Gap and Overlap Report has been added to Scheduling Reports. This report identities a date range where the student is not assigned to a Blended Learning Group (gap) or is assigned to multiple Blended Learning Groups (overlap). The report can be generated for both gaps and overlaps, for just gaps, or just overlaps.
  1673. &lt;br /&gt;Campus Parent
  1674. &lt;br /&gt;• Online Meal Benefits Application update - On the step where applicants confirm child household members, the child checkbox next to the signer is now disabled if the signer does not have an assigned school. This change was made to help prevent parents from accidently marking themselves as children on the application. As part of this change, a pop-up confirmation message now displays between the Children and Gross Income steps if there are people marked as children and do not have a school listed. Users can return to the household step to fix mistakes or move forward if correct.
  1675. &lt;br /&gt;Campus Student
  1676. &lt;br /&gt;• Assignment - LTI partners who have &quot;Embeddable Content&quot; enabled are now available for students to use when submitting assignments through Campus Student. Once the Embeddable Content partner is enabled in Digital Learning Partner Applications Configuration, students can embed content by clicking the + sign in the WYSIWYG editor of an assignment and selecting the partner.
  1677. &lt;br /&gt;Health
  1678. &lt;br /&gt;• A new tool, Health Office Visit Cancellations, has been added to allow users to batch cancel all previously scheduled, unsaved Health Office Visits when there have been canceled School Days. This tool has a separate tool right and needs to be manually given to appropriate users.
  1679. &lt;br /&gt;Scheduling
  1680. &lt;br /&gt;• A new List format and an option to include the Teacher Display Name has been added to the Teacher Schedule Batch.
  1681. &lt;br /&gt;o The List format prints the courses by term and day.

  1753. &lt;br /&gt;Kentucky Specific
  1754. &lt;br /&gt;Attendance
  1755. &lt;br /&gt;• The following updates were made to the Virtual Attendance Post tool to improve performance:
  1756. &lt;br /&gt;• The KY_PostNonParticipationToAttendnace stored procedure has been updated to no longer include a complex Check In/Out Delete query for instances where virtual attendance check in/out records do not match the period start and end times for the calendar&#39;s current period schedule.
  1757. &lt;br /&gt;• Period schedules should not be changed after virtual attendance and student participation has been recorded but if this has happened schools should contact Campus Support to ensure their virtual attendance data is accurate.
  1758. &lt;br /&gt;Behavior (expected to be corrected in the Rx pack)
  1759. &lt;br /&gt; • Logic for the Duration in School Days calculation used in a Behavior Resolution has been corrected to accurately calculate the resolution duration for students with multiple enrollments in the same school.
  1760. &lt;br /&gt;FRYSC
  1761. &lt;br /&gt; • The order of how Attendance Intervention Types appear in the FRYSC Individual Intervention Roster Report has been updated to the following:
  1762. &lt;br /&gt;o i. 0-5 Days Absent
  1763. &lt;br /&gt;o ii. 6-10 Days Absent
  1764. &lt;br /&gt;• iii. 10+ Days Absent
  1765. &lt;br /&gt;KEES Reporting
  1766. &lt;br /&gt; • The following KEES Report fields have been updated to include new logic which includes Grade 14 students:
  1767. &lt;br /&gt;o High School Graduation Date
  1768. &lt;br /&gt; Grade 14 - greater than end year + 0
  1769. &lt;br /&gt;o Academic Classification
  1770. &lt;br /&gt; Student’s grade level must = 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, or 14.
  1771. &lt;br /&gt;o High School Graduation Indicator
  1772. &lt;br /&gt;• Student’s grade level must = 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, or 14.
  1773. &lt;br /&gt;Student Records Transfer
  1774. &lt;br /&gt; • The Process Inbox message for Student Records Transfer release requests has been updated to include the name of the district requesting the release as well as the grade level and school number associated with the student&#39;s local Enrollment record. If the student has an active local Foster Care record, a Due Date equal to the Request Date will be set on the Process Inbox message as well.
  1775. &lt;br /&gt;Core Product
  1776. &lt;br /&gt;Blended Learning/ Scheduling
  1777. &lt;br /&gt; • The following modifications have been made to address date logic and to prepare for end of year processing for Blended Learning Groups:
  1778. &lt;br /&gt;o A school year must be selected in the Campus toolbar in order to create new blended learning groups or adjust existing groups.
  1779. &lt;br /&gt;o Changing the year in the toolbar when in the middle of creating or adjusting groups returns you to the landing page of that tool. Reopening the tool resets the dates to match the selected school year.
  1780. &lt;br /&gt;o When creating a blended learning group, the end date entered in the New Blended Learning Group tool is also added to the database and displays for all student group assignment end dates associated with the group.
  1781. &lt;br /&gt;o End dates can only be entered if it is the current date or in the future.
  1782. &lt;br /&gt;o End dates are required when editing or adjusting groups.
  1783. &lt;br /&gt;o Extending a future group end date does not update the student group assignment end date.
  1784. &lt;br /&gt;o Shortening a future group end date does update or delete any group assignment or day rotation necessary.
  1785. &lt;br /&gt;• Blended Learning Group names can only be used one time per school year.
  1786. &lt;br /&gt;• A new Exclude Summer School Calendars checkbox has been added to the New Blended Learning Groups tool. When marked, any summer school calendar (Summer School checkbox is marked on the Calendar Information editor) is ignored when Blended Learning Groups are created (step 2. Group Day Rotation).
  1787. &lt;br /&gt;• Corrects issue where users could not remove a Blended Learning Group from a current or future date in Calendar Days.
  1788. &lt;br /&gt;o A new Gap and Overlap Report has been added to Scheduling Reports. This report identities a date range where the student is not assigned to a Blended Learning Group (gap) or is assigned to multiple Blended Learning Groups (overlap). The report can be generated for both gaps and overlaps, for just gaps, or just overlaps.
  1789. &lt;br /&gt;Campus Parent
  1790. &lt;br /&gt; • Online Meal Benefits Application update - On the step where applicants confirm child household members, the child checkbox next to the signer is now disabled if the signer does not have an assigned school. This change was made to help prevent parents from accidently marking themselves as children on the application. As part of this change, a pop-up confirmation message now displays between the Children and Gross Income steps if there are people marked as children and do not have a school listed. Users can return to the household step to fix mistakes or move forward if correct.
  1791. &lt;br /&gt;Campus Student
  1792. &lt;br /&gt; • Assignment - LTI partners who have &quot;Embeddable Content&quot; enabled are now available for students to use when submitting assignments through Campus Student. Once the Embeddable Content partner is enabled in Digital Learning Partner Applications Configuration, students can embed content by clicking the + sign in the WYSIWYG editor of an assignment and selecting the partner.
  1793. &lt;br /&gt;Health
  1794. &lt;br /&gt; • A new tool, Health Office Visit Cancellations, has been added to allow users to batch cancel all previously scheduled, unsaved Health Office Visits when there have been canceled School Days. This tool has a separate tool right and needs to be manually given to appropriate users.
