  83. </figure><p>Always one to understand the fashion assignment, the 27-year-old <em>Euphoria</em> star’s ensemble paid homage to the theme of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and dress code of “The Garden of Time&#34; with her first look.</p><p>She then switched into <a href="https://people.com/zendaya-outfit-second-2024-met-gala-look-floral-headpiece-vintage-dress-same-year-born-8644391" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">a black off-the-shoulder corset gown</a> with a long train. The dress is a never-worn archival look by John Galliano for Givenchy created in 1996. She wore it with a massive foral headpiece fitting of the evening&#39;s theme.</p><p>Zendaya capped off the night with a custom beaded Celia Kritharioti gown inside the party that had a daring neckline and floaty skirt.   242. </figure><p><a href="https://people.com/kelly-slater-hints-surfing-career-coming-to-end-8634680" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Kelly Slater</a> is hopping on the skincare wave.</p><p>The 11-time world champion surfer spoke with PEOLPE exclusively about the launch of <a href="https://freaksofnature.com/password" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1" rel="nofollow">Freaks of Nature</a>, his new skincare brand inspired by his active lifestyle — and hours spent under the sun.</p><p>&#34;I was looking for a good SPF that would last a long time [but] I&#39;m really particular about what I use,&#34; Slater, 52, tells PEOPLE exclusively of how the brand came to be. It consists of three products: the Deeper Dive Moisturizer, the Daily Defender Sunscreen and the Peak Performance Sunscreen.</p><p>The professional surfer says he&#39;s in the water &#34;all day long,&#34; so creating a product that he could &#34;trust&#34; would protect his skin from the sun&#39;s strong rays was at the forefront of this concept.</p><p>Slater&#39;s commitment to skin protection wasn&#39;t always a priority for the Florida native who grew up with Cocoa Beach in his backyard. The surfing pro admits he &#34;didn&#39;t worry about it&#34; in his younger years, despite &#34;getting killed by the sun&#34; while outside.</p><p>

  249. </figure><p>&#34;I remember a couple of times as a kid just going all day in the water and not using sunscreen and then paying the price the next day,&#34; Slater recalls. &#34;I&#39;d put sunglasses on, a towel over my head and lather up with everything I could because I was so fried the next day — and then, my whole body would peel.&#34;</p><p>The pro athlete, who&#39;s surfed all over the world throughout his decades-long career, rattled off a few of the most beautiful places he&#39;s traveled for the sport. Not only did he leave with incredible memories, but also some painful sunburns that he remembers to this day.</p><p>&#34;One time I was in Fiji in my twenties and the waves were so good, I just didn&#39;t put anything on,&#34; Slater recalls before he returned to his home at the time. &#34;For three days, I didn&#39;t leave the house. I got back from the trip and I just peeled. I was in pain for the rest of the week.&#34;</p><p>

  251. </p><p>As a surfer who&#39;s regarded as &#34;the greatest of all time&#34; in the sport, Slater explains the reason why he used to skip the sunscreen step: &#34;You forget everything else that exists when the waves are good.&#34;</p><p>However, Slater says he&#39;s &#34;learned the hard way&#34; thanks to those past painful experiences. &#34;I&#39;ve been in the sun for probably hundreds of thousands of hours or more. It&#39;s kind of amazing I still have skin after all this time.&#34;<br/></p><figure>

  270. </figure><p>As for the meaning behind the Freaks of Nature title? &#34;I like the idea of &#39;freak,&#39; says Slater, adding that the word &#34;should be an inspiration for people.&#34;</p><p>He notes the phrase should motivate people to &#34;aspire to something that&#39;s not normal&#34; and &#34;that you can push yourself toward,&#34; something that the world champ has done throughout his entire career <a href="https://people.com/sports/kelly-slater-on-surfing-competitively-at-50/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">and continues to do today</a>.</p><p>&#34;I am busy. My brain never stops. Beaujour is the former editor-in-chief of hard rock and heavy metal magazine <em>Revolver</em>, and has produced and mixed albums for bands like Nada Surf and Guided by Voices.</p><figure>

  354. </p><p>Dominic explained that “a golf ball did hit his head,” though it was not a serious injury.</p><p>“In fact, it was hit by a sand wedge from 80 yards albeit by a scratch golfer who should have known better and frankly been more accurate,” he continued. “The offending player was Alex Roberts, a close friend of Tom&#39;s … without knowing that his most important and highly valuable friend was off the green to his left.”</p><p>“Whack. The ball struck Tom on the right of his forehead. Had it been just a few cm’s to his left or right … It was a great shock and it certainly hurt, hence why Tom hit the turf as though he’d been shot,” Dominic explained, adding that the actor’s “woolly hat offered some protection.”<strong><br/></strong></p><figure>

  398. </figure><p>A newlywed was shocked and angered to find that her new husband has been using their joint bank account to pay for her <a href="https://people.com/tag/engagement-rings/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">engagement ring</a>.</p><p>The 28-year-old woman shared her story in a <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1cklyp2/aita_for_demanding_my_husband_returns_my/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">recent post</a> on Reddit&#39;s &#34;Am I the A------?&#34; thread, explaining that the discovery has sparked &#34;a huge argument&#34; between the pair. She wrote that when her husband, 30, popped the question, he presented her with a two-carat lab diamond ring that cost around $8,000, which he financed with a payment plan.</p><p>They married one month later in a no-frills wedding — as they want to save up to buy a home together — and proceeded to merge their finances. However, the wife soon learned that her spouse was withdrawing funds from their shared account to pay for the engagement ring.</p><p>

I call bulls---,&#34; she continued, before outlining the reasons why she thinks the situation is not right.</p><p>&#34;First, you don’t make the recipient of a gift pay for the gift. An engagement ring is considered a gift in most modern societies even today, and I don’t care if you disagree with that,&#34; she wrote. &#34;Second, I’ve unintentionally partially paid for two installments now which makes me a part-owner of the ring.&#34;</p><p>&#34;If I knew my husband was going to be making me pay for the ring, I wouldn’t have agreed to &#39;buy&#39; it,&#34; she continued. &#34;Mutual consent is essential when a couple is deciding to invest in an asset. Owning a house or a car jointly requires two yeses, and I certainly wouldn’t have said yes to jointly owning a ring he was SUPPOSED to give to me as a gift.&#34;</p><figure>

Buying the kind of ring your partner wants and financing it if you&#39;re saving up for a house seems pretty standard, definitely not a &#39;plot to get back at you,&#39; &#34; they wrote.</p><p>&#34;It seems like he&#39;s trapped in a no-win situation here,&#34; they continued. &#34;If he got you a less expensive ring, it might not be what you feel you deserved, and you&#39;d be upset with him for that. If he spent a chunk from the house savings, you might be upset with him for dipping into that. The baby boy joined big sister <a href="https://people.com/parents/brittany-mahomes-patrick-mahomes-daughter-sterling-during-family-fun-day/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Sterling Skye</a>, whom the couple previously welcomed on Feb. 20, 2021.</p><p>In October 2022, the Chiefs quarterback opened up about being a dad on an episode of <a href="https://www.nbcsports.com/video/show/football-night-america" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1"><em>Football in America</em></a>, saying he plans to &#34;stay out of the way&#34; when it comes to his kids&#39; potential athletic interests.</p><p>&#34;I think that&#39;s the best thing for me,&#34; Patrick explained. &#34;I&#39;m going to help teach my son, my daughter, all the fundamentals and whatever they want to learn. The discussion, &#34;The IGF Conversation: Realizing a Global Community,&#34; is set to reflect on the global community of service personnel and their families that the Invictus Games has fostered since its inception a decade ago through the power of adaptive sport, from Prince Harry’s initial inspiration at the Warrior Games to Invictus&#39; impact in the years since.</p><p>Prince Harry, a former captain in the British Army who served two tours in Afghanistan, launched the adaptive sports tournament for service personnel and veterans in 2014. The inaugural Invictus Games were held in London that September, and he traveled to the U.K. from his California home to celebrate the milestone anniversary.</p><p>Reflecting on the past decade of the Invictus Games, the Duke of Sussex was asked if there was a &#34;magic moment&#34; from the event that made him &#34;smile.&#34;</p><p>&#34;It probably hasn’t changed, still, it has to be in the beginning, 2014, in the copper box,&#34; he replied. &#34;I was at the DJ decks, trying to choose some of the music and put the lights on and just get people on their feet.&#34;</p><figure>

The children, the family, the friends, the individuals themselves, and the amount of respect and admiration I have for all of them just continues to build just year after year after year. The Duke of Sussex is set to deliver a reading at the cathedral in the heart of London, and <em>Homeland </em>star <a href="https://people.com/movies/damian-lewis-pens-tribute-late-wife-helen-mccrory/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Damian Lewis</a> will recite the poem &#34;Invictus.&#34; The prose by William Ernest Henley is full of meaning for the Invictus Games community, and the competition’s motto &#34;I am&#34; comes from its final line — &#34;I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.&#34;<br/></p><p>Henley is coincidentally commemorated with a memorial bust in the Crypt of St. Paul&#39;s, which is where the future <a href="https://people.com/person/king-charles-iii/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">King Charles</a> and <a href="https://people.com/tag/princess-diana/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">Princess Diana</a> married in 1981.</p><p>The program is expected to bring together representatives from the Invictus Games’ participating nations, including members of the wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veteran community. Invictus community members, supporters, and beneficiaries will also give readings and participate in the service, which will be led by The Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett, Dean of St Paul’s.</p><p>News of Prince Harry’s Invictus-focused trip <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-heading-to-london-next-month-for-poignant-anniversary-service-8640116" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">was announced</a> on April 28 and brings him back to the U.K. for the first time in a few months. The couple accepted an invitation on behalf of the Chief of Defense Staff, the country’s highest-ranking military official.</p><p>During their visit, Prince Harry and Meghan will meet with service members and participate in a variety of cultural activities.</p><p>The agenda will highlight the Invictus Games following Nigeria’s event debut at the latest Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany in September 2023.   694. </figure><p>A man in Maryland has been arrested on murder charges after his mother was found dead in a bathtub. </p><p>On Monday, May 6, the Maryland State Police Department shared in a <a href="https://news.maryland.gov/msp/2024/05/06/wicomico-county-son-charged-with-murder-of-his-mother/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">press release</a> that officers took 48-year-old Jeremy Gentry from Fruitland into custody on charges of first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.</p><p>According to police, shortly before 9 p.m. local time on Sunday, May 5, Fruitland Police Department and emergency medical service personnel were dispatched to Jeremy’s home — which he shared with his 68-year-old mother Beatrice Kay Gentry — due to a report of an unconscious woman.</p><p>Emergency crews met with Beatrice’s husband at the entry to the home and located an “unresponsive” Beatrice in the bathtub. She was pronounced dead at the scene, per the release. </p><figure>

  750. </figure><p>As Kase moves onto his teen years, Jewel told PEOPLE in May 2024 that their relationship has become more “silly.”</p><p>&#34;I&#39;m very silly. I think if you asked my son what I&#39;m like, we laugh a lot. We&#39;re very, very, very silly,&#34; she said. &#34;We&#39;re ridiculous. We wrestle a lot, my son and I. I didn&#39;t think that&#39;s the type of mom I&#39;d be, but we play fight every day. It&#39;s so funny.&#34;</p><p>While she maintains the fun factor in their relationship, Jewel said she also is a “teaching mom” and prioritizes being there emotionally for her son.</p><p>“I&#39;m definitely a teaching mom, whether he likes that or not,” she said. “I&#39;m the kind of mom that wants to explain probably too much that might be on the negative list, but that&#39;s the kind of mom I am. I want to break things down. I want to help him understand. That&#39;s the latest question being hotly debated across <a href="https://people.com/tag/tiktok/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">TikTok</a>, with many saying they&#39;d rather take their chances with the animal.</p><p>The question began gaining traction on the social media platform in April, after a video posted by <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/&#64;screenshothq/video/7356208240008498465" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">Screenshot HQ</a> went viral. The women featured in the clip largely agreed that the bear was the preferable option — and a lot of people who have subsequently weighed in on the topic agree.</p><p>

  784. </p><p>A number of women in the Screenshot HQ clip, which has been liked more than two million times on TikTok, said that being around men can be “scary” at times. And one woman also noted that bears aren&#39;t prone to &#34;attack you,” <a href="https://people.com/tourist-mauled-trying-to-get-bear-selfie-8637919" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">unless you agitate them</a>.</p><p>A clip shared by <a href="https://us.tiktok.com/@plutorulesmy12th/video/7365181927130762538?_r=1&_t=8m89A1SSrN5" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">&#64;plutorulesmy12th</a> showed the difference between her experiences with a man and a bear in the woods. A TikTok user named <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/&#64;liliannawilde/video/7362690138293439775?_r&#61;1&amp;_t&#61;8m88zJ8Ze9K" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">Lilianna Wilde</a> said her husband would “lean more toward the bear” because they&#39;re more predictable.</p><p>“I feel like I would know what the outcome would be with a bear, even if it was an aggressive one,” he explained in the clip. “I don’t know what the outcome would be with, like, a bad man.”</p><p>Meanwhile, Tiktoker <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/&#64;ariel_hendrixx/video/7362657795465874731?_r&#61;1&amp;_t&#61;8m8A2PJkEWI" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">Ariel Hendrix</a>’s boyfriend said the bear only has the ability to kill her 4-year-old daughter “or leave her alone,” while there are “a thousand possibilities” for what a man could do.</p><p>

  786. </p><p>Although bears can be deadly, attacks in the U.S. are rare and are mostly done out of a bear’s interest in “protecting food, cubs, or their space,” according to the <a href="https://www.nps.gov/subjects/bears/safety.htm" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">National Park Service</a>. </p><p>Black bears, which are the most commonly found bear in the U.S., kill less than one person per year, according to Lynn Rogers, founder of the <a href="https://bear.org/bear-facts/how-dangerous-are-black-bears/#:~:text=The%20750,000%20black%20bears%20of,an%20easy%20situation%20to%20avoid." data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">North American Bear Center</a>. Meanwhile, men between the ages of 18 and 24 are 167 times more likely to kill someone than a black bear, Rogers said.</p><p>

  922. </figure><p>The night was still young for <a href="https://people.com/tag/cardi-b/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Cardi B</a>, who headed to her own <a href="https://people.com/tag/met-gala/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">Met Gala</a> afterparty following her show-stopping appearance on the carpet.</p><p>In the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday, May 7, the &#34;Bodak Yellow&#34; rapper, 31, threw a bash with Revolve and FWRD. Of course, there was an outfit change.</p><p>Cardi B stripped down to a custom-made, one-of-a-kind look by Revolve Atelier. It was made in collaboration with Revolve&#39;s team, led by Alessandro Francalanci, as well as Anthony Kenny.</p><p>The star of the look was a cinched sequin scarlet corset made of draping fabric at her hips, giving the illusion of a coat tied around Cardi B&#39;s body. The silhouette was inspired by &#34;runway corsetry and draping,&#34; according to a press release.<br/></p><p>If you, like us, were fawning over the bespoke number, Revolve and FWRD is making it available for purchase on their respective websites.</p><p>

  931. </p><p>Revolve and FWRD&#39;s Met Gala afterparty was held at Silencio New York.</p><p>Later in the morning, Cardi B was snapped at Richie Akiva&#39;s 10th annual &#34;The After&#34; Met Gala afterparty, held at Casa Cipriani. And alongside her was her husband <a href="https://people.com/tag/offset/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Offset</a>, with whom she shares two kids: daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 5, and son, <a href="https://people.com/parents/cardi-b-and-offset-reveal-name-of-baby-boy-share-first-photos-of-his-face/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">Wave Set Cephus</a>, 2.</p><p>The two have had <a href="https://people.com/music/cardi-offset-relationship-timeline/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">an up-and-down relationship over the years</a>, and split last year with <a href="https://people.com/cardi-b-confirms-offset-split-been-single-for-minute-now-8414050" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">Cardi B confirming in a December 2023 Instagram Live that she is single</a>.   976. </figure><p><a href="https://people.com/tag/olivia-culpo/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Olivia Culpo</a> is in the final stretch leading up to her wedding!</p><p>The model and influencer, 31, shared at a recent event for Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% that it’s really starting to sink in that her wedding to San Francisco 49ers running back <a href="https://people.com/christian-mccaffrey-love-for-his-kids-play-sports-if-fortunate-to-have-them-olivia-culpo-exclusive-7501650" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Christian McCaffrey</a> is right around the corner.</p><p>“<a href="https://people.com/style/olivia-culpo-christian-mccaffrey-engaged/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">The countdown is on</a>,” Culpo told PEOPLE. “It&#39;s happening.”</p><p>She said that she can’t wait for the big day and the changes that will come with it for her and McCaffrey — who have been together for nearly five years. </p><p>

He&#39;s a great guy.”</p><p>As the wedding draws closer, Culpo revealed that she’s been experimenting with some new beauty treatments and adding in new things in order to prep her skin to look radiant for the big event. </p><p>“One of the things that I did recently with Dr. Ellie is this, it&#39;s called the Salmon sperm facial,” she said. “That was really interesting. Also, Dr. Diamond has this, I think it&#39;s called the Inst Facial. It&#39;s something. It&#39;s PRP with exosomes, and that&#39;s something that I had never tried before. I&#39;ve just been trying to do all of the things that my friends tell me work.”</p><p>The former Miss Universe also went on to say that so far “everything” with the wedding planning has been “so exciting,” and while there isn’t anything particularly “stressful” about it, a lot of planning was necessary to ensure “everybody’s happy.”</p><figure>

  988. </p><p>“It&#39;s just logistically complicated,” the model explained. “Figuring out what everyone&#39;s going to wear, figuring out, figuring out where everyone&#39;s going to stay, making sure that everybody&#39;s happy.” </p><p>“I feel like as a people pleaser, I want to make sure that everybody else is having the best time ever, but I know that everything will fall into place,” she added. “I feel really good about it.”</p><p>In March, Culpo gave her Instagram followers a <a href="https://people.com/olivia-culpo-christian-mccaffrey-plan-to-have-dog-oliver-in-wedding-8622683" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">sneak peak at some wedding details</a>, including the potential role the couple’s toy goldendoodle, <a href="https://people.com/pets/olivia-culpo-boyfriend-christian-mccaffrey-new-puppy/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">Oliver Sprinkles Culpo McCaffrey</a>, would play  in the nuptials.</p><p>“I really want him to be the ring bearer,” she wrote alongside a picture of the pup, who has his very own <a href="https://www.instagram.com/oliversprinkles/?hl&#61;en" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">Instagram account</a>. “tbd lol.”</p><p>She also shared that her wedding gown is still in the works, writing, “I don&#39;t physically have the dress but I&#39;ve been designing for months.   1012. </figure><p><a href="https://people.com/tag/prince-harry/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Prince Harry</a> will not meet with his father <a href="https://people.com/person/king-charles-iii/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">King Charles</a> during his trip to the U.K., PEOPLE confirms.</p><p>A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex, 39, says, &#34;In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.&#34;</p><p>King Charles, 75, <a href="https://people.com/king-charles-announces-return-royal-duties-amid-cancer-treatment-palace-health-update-8639110" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">recently resumed public royal duties</a> after working mainly behind the scenes for several months amid his <a href="https://people.com/king-charles-has-cancer-following-treatment-enlarged-prostate-8558946" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">cancer diagnosis</a> and treatment. On May 7, the monarch held an audience at Buckingham Palace, welcoming the Prime Minister of Fiji, Sitiveni Rabuka. Buckingham Palace is also set to host the first garden party of the season on May 8, although it&#39;s unknown which members of the royal family are attending.</p><p>Prince Harry returned to his home country for celebrations surrounding the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which had its inaugural competition for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans 10 years ago in London. The anniversary is being marked with a <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-first-appearance-uk-visit-invictus-games-anniversary-panel-8642510" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">panel on Tuesday</a> and <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-heading-to-london-next-month-for-poignant-anniversary-service-8640116" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="2">a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral</a> on Wednesday, where Harry will give a reading and <em>Homeland</em> actor <a href="https://people.com/movies/damian-lewis-pens-tribute-late-wife-helen-mccrory/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="3">Damian Lewis</a> will recite the<a href="https://invictusgames2016.info/the-invictus-story/invictus-a-poem-by-william-ernest-henley/#:~:text=Henley%20was%20himself%20an%20amputee,heart%20of%20the%20Invictus%20Games." data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="4" rel="nofollow"> Invictus poem</a>. Prince Harry flew from California to see his father at Clarence House in London, where they had a brief private meeting.</p><p>A royal source said there were <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-no-plans-reunite-prince-william-during-uk-visit-king-charles-cancer-8559473" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">&#34;no plans&#34; for brothers Prince Harry and Prince William to get together</a> while the Duke of Sussex was in the U.K. in February. He replied, &#34;I spoke to him. I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could.&#34;</p><p>&#34;Look, I love my family. Throughout all these families, I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together.&#34;</p><p>&#34;I have my own family, as we all do,&#34; he continued. &#34;My family and my life in California is as it is.   1050. </figure><p>A woman has been charged with murdering two children and neglecting a third child after setting fire to a residence and fleeing the scene in Minnesota.</p><p>Jennifer Marie Stately, 35, received the charges after attacking two minors with a knife and setting fire to the house before she left the residence with a toddler in Blackduck, Minn. on March 15, U.S. attorney Andrew M. Luger announced in a <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-mn/pr/red-lake-woman-charged-murder-arson-and-child-neglect" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">news release</a> on Monday, May 6. </p><p>According to court documents, per the release, one of the children died from stab wounds to the chest, while the second child died from smoke inhalation from the fire. </p><p>Stately was later spotted by a motorist in a vehicle with the third child, who was “covered in wounds” and “suffering from visible signs of child neglect” amid an Amber Alert raised by authorities, the release stated. </p><p>Stately has been charged with one count of premeditated murder, one count of murder in the course of committing arson, one count of murder in the course of committing child abuse, one count of arson and one count of felony child neglect.</p><figure>

  1055. </figure><p>The deceased children have been identified as the defendant’s sons Remi and Tristan Stately, aged 6 and 5, according to an indictment obtained by the<em> <a href="https://www.startribune.com/red-lake-mom-who-set-off-recent-amber-alert-charged-with-double-murder-in-sons-killings/600364076/?refresh=true" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">Star Tribune</a></em>. The toddler she fled with is believed to be her 3-year-old son. </p><p>According to <a href="https://www.redlakenationnews.com/story/2024/03/22/obituaries/remi-leland-stately/121089.html" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1" rel="nofollow">obituaries</a> <a href="https://www.redlakenationnews.com/story/2024/03/22/obituaries/tristan-collin-stately/121090.html" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="2" rel="nofollow">of the two children</a> posted online, the brothers were born to Stately and Brian Graves Jr. in Red Lake, Minn. and attended Red Lake School. A vigil was held in their honor by the school and local community a week after their deaths, the <a href="https://www.startribune.com/red-lake-hosts-vigils-ceremonies-for-two-young-boys-killed-in-house-fire/600353312/" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="3"><em>Star Tribune</em></a> reported. </p><p>Stately&#39;s attorney Paul Engh said there is a “firm basis” for his client to provide a not-guilty plea, though he did not share why, reported <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/minnesota-woman-accused-killing-kids-setting-house-fire-rcna150977" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="externalLink" data-ordinal="1">The Associated Press</a>.</p><p><strong>Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage?
