  5. A large number of residents from the region journey through Chandpur in order to see the shrines to holy gods Hazrat Shah Jalal and Shar Paran each day. Students also attend medical colleges and universities in Sylhet.A majority of tourists also travel to the district&#39;s north-eastern region to take in the natural beauty of the area.

  8. Day in and day out , they are afflicted by the fact that road travel is dangerous and takes a long time.

At Laksham junction the coaches would join Jalalabad Express trains. Passengers can travel to Sylhet with relative ease and with a low cost without any trouble.

  43. The train cost between Chandpur to Sylhet could be as low as Tk 250-300 According to the railway officials. Train travel is cheap and will take less time.

  50. The government plans to overhaul the education system. This will include eliminating public exams prior to class 10, and ensuring that students do not have to take any exams up until class 3.

  53. The new curriculum will place less emphasis on memorizing and more emphasis on activity- and experiment-based learning.

  56. Yesterday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the outline for the new curriculum. It will be implemented in phases starting January 2023 and fully implemented by 2025.

  59. From class 11, the government will also introduce streams, including business studies, science and humanities. Students had to choose from the nine streams within the existing curriculum.

However, it withheld any formal announcement because it was evaluating the possibility of gas recovery from the well at Ananadapur village, Zakiganj upazila in Sylhet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;An official announcement about the discovery of new gas was made at a webinar organized by Energy and Mineral Resources Division. This webinar was held to commemorate August 9, National Energy Security Day, which marks the historic decision of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shiikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975 to take control of 5 gas fields in Sylhet from multinational Shell Oil Company.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;According to UNB, the state minister stated that there is a potential reserve of 68 Billion cubic feet of gas in the new gas field. This gas field can be extracted at 10 MCFFD (MMCFD) within 12-13 years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&quot;The entire reserve at the new natural gas field would have a value of Tk 1,276 crore,&quot; said he, adding that a 3D survey would be done to determine the exact position of the fossil fuel in this virgin field.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There have been 27 new gas fields discovered so far in the country. These gas fields have proven reserves of 21.4 TCF and six additional TCF potential reserves. About 18 TCF have been taken. Only three TCFs remain as proven stocks.
