DEER will engage Penn State faculty to create Technology-Enhanced Experiences (TEEs) that leverage community platforms such as <a href="https://www.spatial.io/">Spatial</a>, <a href="https://padlet.com/">Padlet</a> and <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/log-in">Microsoft Teams</a>. Former DEER faculty also will share their wisdom with new members and expand the network of educators passionate about instructional technology.</p>

  53. <p>Participants selected for the program will work toward redesigning one of their courses into a blended/hybrid format to launch in fall 2024 or spring 2025. During the five-day blended/hybrid learning program, participants will engage in an intensive exploration of creating effective blended/hybrid courses and leveraging technology tools to enhance student engagement. Along with outside preparation and follow-up work, participants will attend one daylong, face-to-face session and four synchronous online sessions.</p>

  193. <p>Their work was part of the 2023-24 TLT <a href="https://tlt.psu.edu/engagement-awards/">Faculty Engagement Awards</a> program. It paired instructors from eight campuses and three colleges with instructional designers to identify best practices for integrating the technology seamlessly into their teaching to play a pivotal role in enhancing remote synchronous learning experiences. By relying on the webcam’s automated technological features, such as auto-framing and auto-tracking, auto-exposure and lighting adjustment, anti-blurring/auto-focus and gesture-controlled zooming and tracking, the instructors can return their focus fully to the teaching and learning experience.</p>
