6.
7. The Oaks Day and Derby Day cards will provide plenty of great wagering opportunities. I'm particularly interested in playing Exactas, Trifectas, and Superfectas keying on HOPPERTUNITY in The Derby!
8.
9. My Key Play sheets will provide wagering strategies as well as full card analysis for a nominal cost of $10 each day.

12.
13. Race 11
14.
15. This is the 145th running of The $1,000,000 Grade I Belmont Stakes.
16.
17. #1 - FRAC DADDY: Better than his most recent, not a bad outsider at a price.
18.
19. #2 - FREEDOM CHILD: Buried softer in The Peter Pan, gets the acid test.
20.
21. #3 - OVERANALYZE: Likes this venue, expect an improved performance.
22.
23. #4 - GIANT FINISH: New York bred beat nine rivals in The Derby.
24.
25. #5 - ORB: Very strong finisher would relish a hot pace in this particular spot.
26.
27. #6 - INCOGNITO: Gets a new rider for his toughest test to date.
28.
29. #7 - OXBOW: He will not be on an easy lead this afternoon.
30.
31. #8 - MIDNIGHT TABOO: Connections are asking a whole lot from him.
32.
33. #9 - REVOLUTIONARY: Consistent colt will be running on through the stretch.
34.
35. #10 - WILL TAKE CHARGE: I believe he’s a cut below these.
36.
37. #11 - VYJACK: Is another wide trip in the offing for him?
38.
39. #12 - PALACE MALICE: Was too rank in blinkers, sheds them for this affair.
40.
41. #13 - UNLIMITED BUDGET: Nice filly faces a difficult assignment vs. the boys.
42.
43. #14 - GOLDEN SOUL: Can he overcome the extreme outside post?
44.
45. #5 - ORB wheels back from a basically “no chance” effort in The Preakness to face 13 rivals on his “home court.” Homebred son of MALIBU MOON should have a much more favorable pace scenario in today’s event than in The Preakness. I believe a clean journey is all that’s necessary to put him back in the winner’s circle! #9 - REVOLUTIONARY is another locally based player. He’s never been off the board in seven previous starts and will be around at the conclusion of this one. #7 - OXBOW figures to be in contention throughout. The Longshot is #1 - FRAC DADDY.
46.
47. Exacta/Trifecta/Superfecta Key: 5/9-7-1. Exacta Part-Wheel: 9-7-1/5. Exacta/Trifecta/Superfecta Box: 1-5-7-9.
48.
49. The following is another prospective wagering game plan.
50.
51. Trifecta: 5 with 1-7-9/All. 5 with All/1-7-9.

2013 Oaks/Derby

Well it's that time again! This year's edition of The Kentucky Oaks is a very contentious event. My top selection CLOSE HATCHES is the 5th choice on the morning line. I think the Oaks Day card is chock full of value from start to finish. I'm particularly interested in The Oaks/Derby Double wager. If you would like to learn more about it, visit tobycallet.com to purchase my plays for The Oaks and Derby! The Oaks is available right now (Thursday 4 p. m. 52.
53. BELMONT PARK
54.
55. Race 11
56.
57. This is the 144th running of The $1,000,000 Grade I Belmont Stakes.
58.
59. #1 - STREET LIFE: Locally based colt comes off his best outing to date.
60.
61. #2 - UNSTOPPABLE U: Will be rolling early, pace factor.
62.
63. #3 - UNION RAGS: A clean trip just may be all that it takes for him to score this afternoon.
64.
65. #4 - ATIGUN: Late running colt needs plenty of pace in front. Uncoupled stablemate (UNSTOPPABLE U) may provide it.
66.
67. #5 - DULLAHAN: Doing quite well at the present. Major player on his best effort.
68.
69. #6 - RAVELO'S BOY: Appears to be overmatched. However, Calder runners generally adapt well to "big sandy."
70.
71. #7 - FIVE SIXTEEN: He'll need to step things way up to compete with these.
72.
73. #8 - GUYANA STAR DWEEJ: Trainer-jock combo has 33 letters in their combined names. What else can I say?
74.
75. #9 - PAYNTER: Bob Baffert's "other" colt is an intriguing prospect, considering his connections.
76.
77. #10 - OPTIMIZER: Finished a total of 27 1/2 lengths behind the favorite in his last pair.
78.
79. #11 - I'LL HAVE ANOTHER: Has yet to do anything wrong in 2012. Can he make history? I prefer others.
80.
81. #12 - MY ADONIS: Good for him that Monmouth Park is not too far away from Belmont Park.
82.
83. #3 - UNION RAGS returns to battle 5 weeks after his Derby debacle. Homebred son of DIXIE UNION has been tuning up smoothly in preparation for today's event. I like the rider switch and can't ignore the fact that his best race to date may have been over this strip in last year's Champagne. I'm going to give him one more chance. How about you? #5 - DULLAHAN raced very well in The Kentucky Derby. Sharp connections have carefully pointed him to this contest and I like his change of pilot as well. #11 - I'LL HAVE ANOTHER will need another peak effort to make history. The Longshot is #9 - PAYNTER.
84.
85. 86.
87. PIMLICO
88.
89. Race 12
90.
91. This is the 137th running of The $1,000,000 Grade I Preakness Stakes.
92.
93. #1 - TIGER WALK: Adds blinkers for his toughest test yet.
94.
95. #2 - TEETH OF THE DOG: Improving colt rates an outside shot today.
96.
97. #3 - PRETENSION: Hard to imagine he'll do in this spot.
98.
99. #4 - ZETTERHOLM: He's been feasting on New York breds.
100.
101. #5 - WENT THE DAY WELL: He's doing quite well at the present, factor.
102.
103. #6 - CREATIVE CAUSE: Will need his absolute best vs. this group.
104.
105. #7 - BODEMEISTER: Likely pacesetter is certainly the one to beat this afternoon.
106.
107. #8 - DADDY NOSE BEST: One-run closer needs pace in front.
108.
109. #9 - I'LL HAVE ANOTHER: Perfect trip in Derby contributed to his victory, needs same.
110.
111. #10 - OPTIMIZER: Needs a career best just to land a part.
112.
113. #11 - COZZETTI: Can he overcome the outside post? Think not.
114.
115. #7 - BODEMEISTER takes another crack at the "big boys" after setting suicidal fractions in The Kentucky Derby 2 weeks ago. Virginia bred son of EMPIRE MAKER will dictate the pace right from the start. If he catches a little mid race "breather," it's all over for the others! #5 - WENT THE DAY WELL turned in a very encouraging performance with the addition of blinkers. He's an honest stretch threat. #9 - I'LL HAVE ANOTHER will attempt to prove his Derby victory was no fluke. The Longshot is #2 - TEETH OF THE DOG.
116.
117. Kentucky bred son of MINESHAFT has been tuning up smoothly for an outfit that’s quite capable. He’ll land a great trip in this spot and certainly has my respect! #9 - ANIMAL KINGDOM is obviously a very reliable colt. Powerful finisher only needs an honest pace in front to be a major factor. #1 - MASTER OF HOUNDS comes off a much better than looked effort in The Kentucky Derby. The Longshot is #4 - SANTIVA.

Exacta/Trifecta/Superfecta Key: 6/9-1-4. Exacta Part-Wheel: 9-1-4/6. COMMONS: Interesting exotic player at what should be large odds.

#1 - ASTROLOGY stretches back out around two turns after coming up 2nd best in The Jerome Handicap last out. Homebred son of A.P. INDY is making his third start of the season and, quite frankly, does not appear inferior to any of these. He’ll land a great journey from the rail and is a very solid choice at what figures to be a square price! #11 - ANIMAL KINGDOM has yet to run a bad race. A similar effort from The Derby winner puts him in the picture. #9 - MUCHO MACHO MAN continues to outrun his pedigree. The Longshot is #8 - DANCE CITY.

Exacta/Trifecta/Superfecta Key: 1/11-9-8. Exacta Part-Wheel: 11-9-8/1. Exacta/Trifecta/Superfecta Box: 1-8-9-11. This race presents an excellent handicapping puzzle. Less than a handful of Derby runners are expected to show up at "Old Hilltop." As a result, there should be plenty of value at the mutuel windows.

Now for the best part. I'll be offering a FREE analysis of The Preakness Stakes. Hopefully, the dry weather will continue through Saturday. Due to the lack of cooperative weather, The Oaks/Derby contestants have had their workout routines interrupted. Therefore, I believe current form and the quest for value to be the best approach to making money this week.

However, The Derby (with a very few exceptions) appears to be best handicapped by attrition. This means if you're enamored with the favorites or the over-hyped "now" horses, then you'll probably not like my handicapping/wagering ideas for this year's Kentucky Derby.

The best part of both days are the potential wagering opportunities on the respective "undercards." I'm ready to "fire!" How about you?

Dateline Louisville

The Breeders' Cup 2010 is upon us and I'm entering my ninth day in beautiful Louisville, Kentucky. I've been up at 4:30 every morning and I've seen virtually all of The Breeders' Cup entrants jog, gallop, or train. In addition to that important knowledge, I have followed this meet for more than 20 years. I've seen several vulnerable favorites and have some strong handicapping opinions as well. I can tell you this. There are several double digit morning line runners in The 14 Breeders' Cup races that would not surprise me. If you want regurgitation of the morning line or "M. O. T. O. (Master Of The Obvious)" man selections, look elsewhere! If you're looking to attempt to win real money, then jump on board!

Friday's card will be available by Wednesday evening and Saturday's card will be available by Thursday evening, thereby allowing you plenty of time to handicap the races. Both Breeders' Cup days include the undercard races as well. Oh by the way, I'm interested in playing Friday's opener at 2:00 p. m. Eastern. How about you?

Belmont Stakes

On Saturday afternoon, the third and final leg of The 2010 Triple Crown will be contested at Belmont Park. This year's Belmont Stakes assembles an eclectic group of 12 entrants. Comparatively speaking, this is a large field!

I think this is an excellent betting affair! As a result, we'll include a complete Belmont Stakes analysis with any weekend purchase from this site.

I'm ready to "fire away." How about you?

The Preakness Stakes

An interesting group is being assembled for The Preakness Stakes on Saturday afternoon. The fact that so many trainers are interested in taking a shot at The Derby winner (SUPER SAVER) is an intriguing prospect at the very least! Even though we don't have full card Preakness Day coverage, we do have a complete analysis of the race itself. As a result, any purchase of the other three venues that we presently cover (Calder, Churchill, and Hollywood) will include a free Preakness Stakes analysis that features wagering strategies as well.

I look forward to hearing from you!

The Time is Now

The time has finally arrived. The Oaks/Derby full card selection and analysis are available on line for purchase. The Oaks/Derby Double promises to be a good one (at least in my estimate) and I truly believe that the Exactas, the Trifectas, and the Superfectas will afford plenty of value as well. In The Derby, if you are a fan of the favorites I can assure you we are not on the same page. If my selections are correct or even close to correct this could turn out to be a "life changing event." I am ready to come out firing on Friday. How about you? The first couple of payoffs were very juicy. I can personally attest to the first one that paid $1,945. This weekend (Saturday and Sunday), both Pick Fours are all turf. Saturday's Pick Four kicks off with a very intriguing play that you can access at gulfstreampark.com. Simply click on Racing, then Handicapping, and you'll find it in the Money Management segment.

My Key Plays (which are available on this Web site) cover all the races every day during the Gulfstream meet.
