This trip required immense planning for food and other things with the need for angel services to deliver water and a supply drop to have extra food as this trip took the whole week. The troop spent time in shelters and in campsites. I guess you could say the trip was, "in-tents."
Into the first days of the trip, it was hard and a few people were getting sick and vomiting. After that, it got a little better, but eventually the "family-bonding" began and everyone was having a great time. Day 4, Tuesday, was when Mr.Flam came along the ride for the night and brought delicious hamburgers for everyone. The week finished off with a fantastic lunch provided by Mrs. Cindy and delivered by Mr. Donley. After the lunch, the trip finished off with an extra few miles and some sweaty scouts.
The car wash generated almost $400 for the troop with the yard sale itself getting loads of sales. Thanks to all the scouts that came out and helped with the yard sale and participated. Also a big thanks to the adult leaders for organizing this event.
We hiked six miles both Saturday and Sunday morning. There was lots of uphill and downhill throughout the hike. There was lots of time to relax Saturday afternoon. The Philmont meals were delicious, just as soon as the stoves would work! Everyone woke up early Sunday morning to hike back to the vehicles. Everyone had a great time.
192. Our group of younger Scouts have come back from summer camp! We all had lots of fun at Bert Adams this year. The First Years have gotten "Rawhide" (Woodruff's "Mountain Man" equivalent) and are much closer to their next ranks. Everyone else achieved many other Merrit Badges. Bikes were a big hit, many of us took them for a ride throughout camp. Candy and slushies were also enjoyed durring the week. A Troop and some staff joined us for our Cracker Barrel on Thrusday. Friday was the last day of full camp. Everyone was glad to finnish Merrit Badges. The adults (Ms. Kerr and Mrs. Smith) played in the ScoutMaster's Golf Tournament at Bert Adams "Old Course" with their hand made golf clubs. The closing campfire and Camp Wide Games were both held. Not everyone participated in the Camp Wide Games. Those who went played Ultimate Frisbee and many other activities on skills every Scout should know. Everyone had fun at the campfire. Our Troop's skit was about some scouts sitting around a fire, when the fire (three scouts) burst out of control and tackled everone. We packed up and left on saturday.
208. The troop (minus scouters going to philmont) went to Pioneer Camp on the weekend of May the 9-10. Everyone had lots of fun! A Webelos came along so we could show him what we do in Troop 772! We arrived at camp near noon. For the rest of the day, events included fishing, visiting a waterfall, and playing games at camp. Almost everyone caught a fish of decent size, although we had to let them back in the water. Mother's Day to all the mothers in the troop once again!

 228. 5/9/14 -5/11/14
229. Troop 772 went to Fort Benning May 9-11 and visited Uchi creek camp & the infantry museum. The troop played activities that Andrei Edwards and Aidan Dinehart planned. The scouts played games with a purpose such as first aid carries; “why knot”; "capture the flag”; and last but not least football. The Scouts used Andrei’s knot kit for “why knot”. We also visited the museum that had cool and exciting stuff. We took pictures, but sadly the camera died. They had a row of soldiers that earned the Medal of Honor, and there were interesting stories to read. This was the best campout because of the planned activities, hands-on learning of knots, and many advancement activities. Happy Mother’s day to all the mothers in troop 772.
