వెంగళరెడ్డిగారిని తన యింటిలో త్వరలో జరగనున్న శుభకార్యం నిమిత్తంగా ఏదైనా ద్రవ్యసహాయం చేయమని అర్థించాడు. రెడ్డిగారు అంగీలో చేయిపెట్టి ఒక నోటు తీసి ఇచ్చారు. అది చిన్నమొత్తం. ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుడు చిన్నబుచ్చుకున్నాడు. అది చూసి రెడ్డిగారు అర్థితో, &amp;quot;అయ్యా, మీ ప్రాప్తం అంతే ఉన్నది&amp;quot; అన్నారు.  కాని బ్రాహ్మణుడికి నమ్మకం కలుగలేదు.  అప్పుడు రెడ్డిగారు తన కోడలిని పిలచి ఒక చేటలో బియ్యమూ దానిలో గూడంగా ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుడికి ఇచ్చిన నోటుతో పాటు మరొక వందనోటును కూడా ఉంచి తీసుకొని రమ్మన్నారు.  అలా ఆవిడ తెచ్చిన పిదప,  బ్రాహ్మణోత్తముడు స్వయంగా చేయిపెట్టి బియ్యపుచేటలోనుండి తీసుకొంటె మొదట రెడ్డిగారు ఇచ్చిన నోటే తిరిగి లభించింది.  తదుపరి, రెడ్డిగారు రెండవనోటుని బియ్యపుచేటనుండి ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుడికి వెలికి తీసి చూపి, తన వాక్యం సత్యం అని ఋజువు చూపారట.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml'
