40.
Dietary restrictions can make life difficult — whether you’re embracing a vegan lifestyle for ethical reasons or you need to...

 41.

Dietary restrictions can make life difficult — whether you’re embracing a vegan lifestyle for ethical reasons or you need to remain gluten-free for medical reasons.

 42.
CBD enthusiasts who are vegan or gluten-free can run into trouble selecting cannabidiol products that meet their needs, and that’s a shame. How can you improve your shopping experience and ensure the CBD you choose doesn’t contain anything you don’t want it to?

 43.
Wait, What? Why Would CBD Products Not Be Vegan? Why Would Your CBD Contain Gluten?

 44.
Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive, non-addictive cannabinoid extracted from Cannabis sativa plants. Low-THC strains, classed as industrial hemp, are the most common source of CBD products. Hemp doesn’t contain any gluten, and the plant itself is (clearly) vegan. Some people may wonder why CBD products wouldn’t be vegan and gluten-free.

 45.
The most obvious answer is that some CBD products contain a wide range of other ingredients. CBD gummies, capsules, and other edibles like mints and energy drinks are just some examples of CBD products that may not be vegan or gluten-free because animal products and wheat may be added during the manufacturing process.

 46.
It gets even trickier, though:

 47.

 48.
Crop rotation (a practice in which different crops are grown on the same land, successively) is beneficial for soil health and biodiversity. Hemp is frequently grown in rotation with wheat, which can cause cross-contamination — and problems for gluten-free people.

 49.
In some cases, the same machines used to harvest hemp may also be used to harvest wheat.

 50.
It’s also possible that hemp products, including CBD products, are processed in a factory that also processes wheat.

 51.

 52.
Some vegans purely avoid eating animal products — including honey, which is quite a common ingredient in CBD edibles. Others also have ethical concerns about pesticides, which intentionally harm insects and may pose a threat to other forms of life, too. If that is a concern for you, you may want to choose CBD products derived from organically-farmed hemp products.,

 53.
What to Look Out for When Selecting Vegan and Gluten-Free CBD Products

 54.
CBD consumers who want to know exactly what’s in their products should always take the time to read the ingredient list. If wheat, gelatin of animal origin, or honey are listed as ingredients, you’ll instantly know that your product is not gluten-free or vegan.

 55.
Because the ingredient list can never tell the full story, it can help to rely on certifications issued by reputable third parties that have thoroughly vetted the CBD product you are considering buying.

 56.
CBD Products and Vegan Certification: What Should You Know?

 57.
A number of different vegan certifications exist. Nearly all of them are instantly recognisable because they include a “V” symbol. Still, vegans who are determined to choose CBD products that meet their high ethical standards may benefit from a quick guide.

 58.
The vegan labels you may come across in the UK include:

 59.

 60.
The V-Label, issued by the European Vegetarian Union. This symbol is a “V” with a little leaf on the right-hand side. Vegan products are yellow, while vegetarian products are green. The words “vegan” or “vegetarian” are usually printed underneath the label.

 61.
Certified Vegan, by the Vegan Awareness Foundation. This logo is a “V” in a heart.

 62.
The Vegan Trademark, issued by the Vegan Society. Its logo is a “V” with a leaf on the right side and a flower sprouting from the centre.

 63.
BeVeg, issued by the NSF (which also offers a range of other important certifications).

 64.

 65.
Vegans may also want to look for a “Cruelty-Free” label, which means that CBD products have not been tested on animals.

 66.
Gluten-Free CBD Products: What to Look Out For

 67.
Gluten-free products must also be clearly labelled as such. Some of the most reputable gluten-free certifications include:

 68.

 69.
The gluten-free label issued by the Gluten-Free Certification Organisation. Its logo displays the letters “GF” in a circle, or it may spell out “Gluten Free”, with a purple “G” and lime-green borders.

 70.
The gluten-free certificate offered by Beyond Celiac looks like a simplistic representation of a happy person with raised and spread hands.

 71.
The NSF offers a gluten-free certification as well.

 72.

 75.
Which CBD Products Are Most Likely to Contain Gluten or Animal Products?

 76.

 77.

 78.
The CBD market is booming — which means your options seem to expand with every passing day. That’s exciting if you’re hoping to explore the best ways to enjoy cannabidiol. The downside? Each additional ingredient could pose a problem.

 79.
We’ve already explored the fact that even CBD oils, whether full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or CBD isolates, may contain some gluten due to the risk of cross-contamination during every step of the growing and manufacturing process.

 80.
The same risk is present for vegans concerned about pesticide use — they will want to look for organic CBD products.

 81.
However, CBD products with longer ingredient lists are more likely to be a problem:

 82.

 83.
Gummy candies often contain gelatin from animal sources. Honey may also be on the ingredient list.

 84.
Softgel capsule shells, of the kind you see in CBD capsules, are not always vegan. They do not usually contain gluten, but should be clearly labelled as gluten-free.

 85.
Some vape liquids, including CBD vape liquids, contain products of animal origin.

 86.
Creams and lotions are usually vegan, but are sometimes tested on animals. Vegans may want to look out for a cruelty-free label.

 87.

 88.
Checking if Your CBD Products Are Vegan and Gluten-Free: Some Final Advice

 89.
CBD is derived from industrial hemp — a plant that contains no gluten. Hemp is often rotated with wheat, however, and gluten may also be introduced during other stages of the manufacturing process. That can potentially make even products that don’t feature wheat on the ingredient list, like CBD oils and tinctures, problematic.

 90.
Vegans will mostly want to be on the lookout for ingredients derived from animals in more complex CBD products like CBD gummies and capsules.

 91.
Looking for CBD products with reputable third-party certifications is your best bet in both cases. You can trust that a product is gluten-free and vegan if a trusted third party has tested it.

 92.
Shopping for CBD products that meet your high standards takes a little extra work. However, it’s really not that hard once you know what to look out for!

 93.
We hope this guide has given you the confidence you need to choose CBD products suitable for your unique needs and that you enjoy your cannabidiol without worrying whether you’re consuming gluten or animal products!

 122.

Hemp is an amazingly versatile crop. Hemp cultivation continues to soar as more and more people (and governmental bodies) wake up to its incredible variety of uses, and hemp is increasingly used in:

 123.

 124.
Construction materials

 125.
Textiles

 126.
Paper

 127.
As a plastic substitute in various industries, including aviation and manufacturing

 128.

 129.
Hemp also continues to be an exciting source of food — for animals and people alike. Hemp seed oil has created quite a buzz in the world of nutrition in recent years, and you might be interested in adding it to your culinary repertoire.

 130.
Here’s how and why hemp seed oil is so special, and what sets it apart from other hemp-derived food products, including cannabidiol.

 131.
What Is Hemp Seed Oil?

 132.
Hemp seed oil is a cold-pressed oil (just like olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado oil) that comes from the seeds of hemp plants — which are technically nuts.

 133.
Some people continue to be confused about what this means. Hemp? Isn’t that weed, the plant (illegally) used for its mind-altering effects? Not quite.

 134.
Marijuana and hemp plants both belong to the Cannabis sativa species. However, marijuana plants are high in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) — the cannabinoid that creates a “high”. Industrial hemp plants are naturally low in THC, meanwhile. They are valued for their fibres and other compounds.

 135.
Industrial hemp plants cultivated in the European Union can’t have a THC content of more than 0.02 per cent, while United States regulations allow for a THC content of up to 0.03 per cent.

 136.
The hemp seed oil made from industrial hemp plants may contain tiny amounts of THC, but not enough to cause psychoactive effects.

 137.
Hemp seed oil is primarily valued for its nutritional benefits. Some people love its rich, nutty flavour, while others simply love experimenting with new kitchen ingredients.

 138.
A Closer Look at the Health Benefits of Hemp Seed Oil

 139.
Healthy fats are essential to a balanced diet, and hemp seed oil has an interesting nutritional profile.

 140.
Here’s what you need to know about hemp seed oil:

 141.

 142.
Hemp seeds are incredibly rich in protein — each hemp seed has a protein content of about 25 per cent. Protein plays an important role in your general health and wellbeing, and variety is crucial when you choose plant-based protein sources.

 143.
Hemp seed oil is packed full of healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids, including omega-6 and omega-3. Both are important for optimal functioning in terms of physical and cognitive abilities.

 144.
Hemp seed oil contains lots of important vitamins and minerals, including potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, calcium, zinc, iron, and vitamin E.

 145.

 146.
No ingredient that’s been touted as a “superfood” can ever meet all of your nutritional needs — and hemp seed oil is no exception. However, it doesn’t take more than a quick look at this oil’s nutritional profile to realise that hemp seed oil can be a fun and healthy addition to a varied diet.

 147.
What Does Hemp Seed Oil Taste Like?

 148.
Hemp seed oil has a nutty flavour with hints of beans or legumes and woody or earthy notes. Some people describe the aftertaste as citrusy or lemony.

 149.
We don’t want to sound like wine snobs, so we’ll leave it up to you to decide whether you agree. Let’s just say hemp seed oil can make an interesting addition to your kitchen, especially if you love experimenting with novel ingredients.

 150.
How to Use Hemp Seed Oil

 151.
Hemp seed oil is a versatile oil — like other edible oils, its primary purpose is in the kitchen. Having said that, hemp seed oil can come in handy if you’re looking for ways to make DIY cosmetics, too.

 152.
Cooking with Hemp Seed Oil

 153.
Hemp seed oil is a heat-sensitive oil. As with other unusual and expensive edible oils (avocado oil, Brazil nut oil, broccoli seed oil, etc), you don’t really want to heat hemp seed oil. Instead:

 154.

 155.
Add hemp seed oil to a homemade pesto sauce.

 156.
Incorporate hemp seed oil into a ridiculously decadent salad dressing with a bunch of exciting ingredients — and discover just how exciting a good salad can be.

 157.
Make hummus with hemp seed oil.

 158.
Add hemp seed oil to tasty protein shakes with other healthy ingredients like spinach and raspberries.

 159.

 160.
Hemp seed oil won’t become a staple like sunflower oil, because it’s too expensive — but it can bring novelty to a bland diet and inspire you to get creative.

 161.
Using Hemp Seed Oil in Skincare Products

 162.
Are you out of moisturiser, or do you want to try something a little more natural? Just like olive oil is a great natural skincare ingredient, you can add hemp seed oil to your skincare routine, too.

 163.
Some people use it to hydrate their scalps or skin, while others make their own body lotions or face creams with hemp seed oil as one of the ingredients. Making your own cosmetics is tricky but fun. As long as you remember to make safety your top priority, you can’t go wrong with the many skincare recipes you’ll find online. You can always substitute hemp seed oil for another unusual oil, like avocado oil, in any recipe.

 164.
Hemp Seed Oil vs CBD: What’s the Difference?

 165.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of many components called cannabinoids found in Cannabis sativa plants. Marijuana and hemp plants both contain CBD. Hemp, which is naturally low in THC, has more CBD — making it the most common source of CBD products.

 166.
Authorised CBD products are classed as novel food items and are legally available in the UK without a prescription. They have a maximum THC content of 0.02 per cent and don’t have psychoactive effects. However, CBD products are used in low doses, often with the goal of promoting general health and wellbeing.

 167.
Hemp seed oil is exclusively derived from hemp seeds, while CBD is found (in various concentrations) in the whole plant. Manufacturers making CBD products specifically extract this cannabinoid and then incorporate it into a wide variety of products.

 168.
Popular CBD products include:

 169.

 170.
CBD oil

 171.
CBD gummies

 172.
CBD creams

 173.
CBD capsules

 174.
CBD vape liquids and vape pens

 175.
CBD tea

 176.

 177.
CBD oil is one of the most common CBD products, and it relies on a carrier oil to deliver cannabidiol to consumers. Hemp seed oil is one carrier oil option, alongside other choices like coconut (MCT) oil or olive oil. Therefore, CBD oil may contain hemp seed oil, but the two aren’t synonymous by any stretch of the imagination.

 178.
CBD products are best for people specifically seeking cannabidiol, while hemp seed oil plays a broader role as a cooking or skincare ingredient.

 179.
Consumers hoping to harness the full potential of industrial hemp might like to try both CBD products and hemp seed oil, but with different purposes.

 180.
Can You Use CBD Oil in Cooking?

 181.
You can also use CBD oil in the kitchen. If you do, take care not to exceed your desired dose. As with hemp seed oil, it is best not to heat CBD oil. Instead, add it to a carrier oil like hemp seed oil or olive oil, and drizzle it over a salad or mix it into a savoury popcorn recipe.

 182.
You can get creative here, too, but you’ll be working with less — so make it count!

 183.
Adding Hemp Seed Oil to Your Kitchen: Some Final Tips

 184.
Hemp seed oil has a promising nutritional profile. As such, it can definitely become an interesting part of a healthy and balanced diet. This cold-pressed oil is heat-sensitive, and you’ll retain its nutrients and taste by drizzling it over your meals.

 185.
CBD oil can play a role in your kitchen, too — but people using this novel food product do so specifically to add cannabidiol to their wellness routines. Coming from the same source, CBD oil and hemp seed oil make a nice combination with earthy and nutty flavours. Allow yourself to be inspired if you want to experiment with this combination, but make sure to start with the lowest possible dose of CBD.

 210.

Are you looking for high-quality CBD products in London, but do you feel overwhelmed by the vast array of options? Even the most dedicated retail therapy enthusiasts are bound to start suffering from shopping fatigue in a city with the population of a small country!

 211.
Don’t worry — we’ve got you covered. This guide will show you where to shop for premium CBD oil and other exciting cannabidiol products in London. Keeping in mind that not all CBD is created equal, we’ll show you how to pick quality cannabidiol, too.

 212.
What Is Cannabidiol?

 213.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of more than 100 cannabinoids in Cannabis sativa plants. In contrast to the mind-altering compound tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is non-psychoactive and non-addictive.

 214.
Industrial hemp, which is naturally high in CBD, is the primary source of cannabidiol products. The hemp grown in the UK and the European Union has a maximum THC content of 0.02 per cent, and products derived from this Cannabis sativa variety have been growing in popularity in recent years.

 215.
CBD products won’t get you high, but they do impact the endocannabinoid system in your body.

 216.
This fascinating system — first discovered in the 1980s — plays a role in regulating vital bodily functions, including mood, behaviour, memory inflammation, pain management, and appetite. Two unique endocannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, form a vast network stretching across the body. The brain, spinal cord, and nerve endings are especially rich in endocannabinoid receptors.

 217.
The endocannabinoid system didn’t just evolve to interact with the cannabinoids in marijuana and industrial hemp plants, though. Your body also makes its own cannabinoids, including the first one to be discovered — anandamide, which means “bliss”.

 218.
CBD interacts with the CB1 and CB2 receptors in your body but doesn’t bind to them directly. Instead, CBD inhibits the action of the enzyme fatty acid amide hydrolase, which breaks the endogenous cannabinoids your body makes down. As such, CBD potentially makes more endogenous cannabinoids available to your cells.

 219.
Are CBD Products Legal in the UK?

 220.
CBD products are legally available in the UK (including in London) without a prescription. While marijuana is a Class B controlled substance that’s illegal to use unless you have a medical license, the Food Standards Agency considers CBD a novel food product.

 221.
Novel food products are foods that weren’t widely used before 1997 in the UK or European Union, and chia seeds are another famous example.

 222.
Because CBD is derived from industrial hemp — a plant that contains some THC, a controlled substance — there are some extra caveats. CBD products sold in the UK may have a maximum THC content of 0.02 per cent.

 223.
Cannabidiol manufacturers and stockists also have to comply with strict regulations. While the scientific community continues to learn about the possible applications, benefits, and risks of CBD products, CBD sellers can’t make any claims about cannabidiol’s potential health implications.

 224.
Consumers, who are bound to come across all sorts of exciting studies, should also take a responsible approach to enjoying CBD. Don’t use CBD as a substitute for a medication your doctor prescribes you or use it to prevent or manage a particular condition. Consult your GP if you have any questions about adding cannabidiol to your wellness routine!

 225.
Choosing Your Ideal CBD Product: Quick Tips for Savvy Londoners

 226.
Shopping for CBD products can be tricky, especially if you’ve never tried cannabidiol before.

 227.
You can take CBD in lots of different ways, and some of the most popular options include:

 228.

 229.
CBD oil. With high bioavailability if you take it by holding it under the tongue for 60 to 90 seconds, CBD oil remains one of the top choices. You can also cook with CBD oil or add it to creams and lotions.

 230.
CBD gummies. Prefer a tasty treat you can easily take with you? CBD sweets may be the way to go.

 231.
CBD capsules. People who already use vitamin supplements might like to add CBD to their routines in capsule form.

 232.
CBD vape liquids. Vapers may flock to this convenient CBD delivery method, which is also fast-acting.

 233.
CBD creams, lotions, and other topicals. CBD skincare products likely won’t reach your bloodstream, but the skin has its own endocannabinoid receptors. Topical CBD products will also hydrate your skin.

 234.

 235.
You’ll find unique choices like CBD-infused coffee, pastries, energy drinks, or shampoo as well, particularly if you love poking around Covent Garden. The perks of living in London, right?

 236.
No matter which CBD product you end up choosing, it will fall into one of three basic categories.

 237.
Full-spectrum CBD oil contains all of hemp’s natural compounds, including minor cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and up to 0.02 per cent THC. Broad-spectrum CBD oil is home to the same compounds, but because more THC is removed from these cannabidiol products, only trace amounts are left.

 238.
CBD isolate is, meanwhile, CBD in its purest form. These products don’t contain any THC and may be suitable for people intending to use slightly higher doses.

 239.
With so many choices, how do you decide which CBD brand to trust? Here are some tips:

 240.

 241.
CBD brands that offer certificates of analysis and have subjected their products to third-party lab testing should inspire confidence. You’ll know the product’s labelling is accurate in these cases, and you can verify the CBD product’s potency.

 242.
Some CBD products have third-party certifications, such as gluten-free, organic, cruelty-free, or vegan labels. That’s especially important for people with dietary restrictions or ethical concerns. Organically-grown hemp won’t absorb pesticides because they won’t be used in cultivation.

 243.
Safe CBD extraction methods include supercritical CO2 extraction, ethanol extraction, and olive oil extraction. When butane and hexane are used, the resulting CBD product may contain hazardous residues.

 244.

 245.
Shopping for CBD in London: Online vs Local

 246.
Let’s face it — some people live for shopping and crave the hustle and bustle of the metropolis. They’ll take hours of purchase-less browsing over the convenience of online shopping any day.

 247.
Others dread the thought of spending a minute more on the London tube than they have to and stick to their own boroughs whenever they can.

 248.
The choice is yours. That’s the luxury of living in London, where you’ll find the whole world and more.

 295.

Are you curious about cannabidiol products and hoping to give CBD oil a go? If you’re based in Manchester, you may wonder where to get your hands on high-quality CBD without leaving the city.

 296.
Manchester is the fifth-largest city in the UK. Surely a bustling metropolis with a population of over 2.5 million is home to more than a few shops that stock cannabidiol? You bet! Mind you, shopping online is even more convenient, and often nearly as fast, in 2023.

 297.
We’ll show you where you can shop for CBD products in Manchester and what to look out for before you fill your basket!

 298.
What Is Cannabidiol?

 299.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive and non-addictive cannabinoid found in Cannabis sativa plants. CBD is found in marijuana and industrial hemp plants alike, but the two have some important differences:

 300.

 301.
Marijuana plants are a variety of Cannabis sativa with a high tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content. THC is the stuff that gets you high — and marijuana remains a Class B controlled substance that’s not legal to use without a medical marijuana license.

 302.
Industrial hemp is a low-THC variety that’s naturally high in CBD. It also contains a myriad of other minor cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and essential oils. Hemp is a versatile crop that’s also used to make hemp seed oil, hemp protein, textile, and construction materials, to name just a few examples.

 303.

 304.
So, CBD doesn’t have a mind-altering effect. However, like the other (100+!) cannabinoids you’ll find in industrial hemp, it does act on the endocannabinoid system in your body.

 305.
This vast network of signals and receptors regulates memory, mood, behaviour, inflammation, pain management, and appetite, among other vital bodily functions. The two endocannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, are spread all over the brain, spinal cord, nerve endings, and immune cells, helping to keep you happy and healthy.

 306.
Whoah, a whole bodily system that reacts to cannabinoids? You bet, but it’s important to mention that your body makes its own cannabinoids naturally. Not all cannabinoids come from hemp.

 307.
Cannabidiol doesn’t seem to bind directly to CB1 or CB2 receptors. Instead, it blocks the action of an enzyme that breaks the endogenous cannabinoids your body makes down, thereby potentially making more cannabinoids available to your cells.

 308.
Great! Is That Legal?

 309.
The UK considers cannabidiol a “novel food product” — in other words, a food that appeared on the market fairly recently. UK residents (including people living in Manchester) can legally buy CBD products with a maximum THC content of 0.02 per cent.

 310.
CBD manufacturers and stockists have to adhere to strict regulations, however. They have to apply for authorisation before they can sell CBD products and aren’t allowed to make health claims.

 311.
Research into the potential effects of cannabidiol is still ongoing, and the scientific community is learning about the possible benefits and side effects of CBD products. It is, therefore, important to use CBD responsibly. Consumers would be advised to talk to their GP if they have particular health concerns and shouldn’t use CBD products in an attempt to prevent, treat, or cure a specific condition.

 312.
How to Choose the Right CBD Product for You

 313.
People new to CBD can easily get overwhelmed by the ocean of choices that lies before them.

 314.
You can choose from three types of CBD:

 315.

 316.
Full-spectrum CBD contains all the compounds naturally present in industrial hemp. Besides cannabidiol, full-spectrum CBD also has terpenes, flavonoids, essential oils, and other minor cannabinoids. In the UK, these products have a THC content of up to 0.02 per cent. That won’t cause mind-altering effects, but not everyone feels comfortable ingesting THC.

 317.
Broad-spectrum CBD is very similar, but it contains no more than trace amounts of THC.

 318.
CBD isolate is pure CBD. These products do not have terpenes, flavonoids, or any other cannabinoids.

 319.

 320.
Once you decide which type of CBD is right for you, you can choose from (nearly) countless different products. Popular options include:

 321.

 322.
CBD oil. CBD oil is highly bioavailable if you administer it sublingually (hold it under your tongue), but you can also use it in cooking or as an ingredient for homemade skincare products.

 323.
CBD gummies. CBD sweets and other edibles are a convenient and tasty way to get CBD.

 324.
CBD capsules. You can swallow CBD capsules with water, and they’re highly portable, too.

 325.
CBD vape liquids. Inhaling CBD gives you even more bioavailability than holding it under the tongue. CBD vape liquids are a good choice for people who already vape.

 326.
CBD creams, lotions, and other topicals. The skin has endocannabinoid receptors, and CBD topicals are absorbed locally. Using CBD skincare products means that cannabidiol is unlikely to reach your bloodstream.

 327.

 328.
Shopping for CBD in Manchester: Should You Go Local or Buy Online?

 329.
Deciding where to shop for CBD oil or other CBD products is a little trickier than choosing where in Manchester to buy your clothes or food. Not every retailer carries cannabidiol, after all. Even if your local corner shop has CBD oil, you might want to keep looking — because quality is your top priority.

 330.
There’s good news, though. Finding CBD in Manchester isn’t that hard, especially if you’re already shopping. Shoppers who crave convenience and don’t want to leave their homes can also simply order CBD oil online, however.

 331.
Just make sure you buy from a reputable UK CBD retailer because CBD products from the United States may have a slightly higher THC content that’s not allowed in Britain (0.03 per cent).

 332.
Vibes CBD Offers Next-Day Delivery to All Manchester Customers!

 333.
Vibes CBD offers premium-quality CBD oil in various strengths and with appealing flavours. Vibes CBD oil has 0 per cent THC and contains natural terpenes and flavonoids. We also offer CBD capsules and delicious, portable CBD gummies.

 334.
Our CBD isolate products are a tastier way to consume cannabidiol — and Vibes CBD offers free next-day delivery with every order. You can’t go wrong with that if you’re looking for CBD in Manchester but don’t really feel like looking around the local high street!

 335.
Shopping for CBD Locally: Where to Find CBD in Manchester

 336.
There’s no denying that some CBD consumers prefer to shop locally. Which reputable retailers carry quality CBD products in Manchester, you wonder?

 337.
Holland & Barrett, Tesco, and Boots all stock a range of cannabidiol products. That doesn’t mean all locations have CBD, of course. Even if your closest Tesco, Holland & Barrett, or Boots sells CBD oil, they may not have all the products you see on the website. Call ahead if you don’t like the thought of a wasted shopping trip!

 338.
Where to Buy CBD Products in Manchester: Some Final Tips

 339.
Major retailers now carry CBD products at select locations in Manchester. Call or email your chosen high street chain if you prefer to buy from a physical shop, just to make sure they have what you want!

 340.
Buying CBD online is just as easy, however. Vibes CBD makes sure that the CBD products you purchase from your Manchester home arrive via express shipping the day after you order! Shopping for CBD in Manchester doesn’t have to be stressful. In fact, you don’t even need to leave your home!

 363.
Do you have too much on your plate, and do you feel like you barely have any time to enjoy...

 364.

Do you have too much on your plate, and do you feel like you barely have any time to enjoy yourself? Are you stuck in a rut, desperate to escape?

 365.
You’re not alone.

 366.
Everyone gets stressed sometimes, but plenty of UK adults say they “frequently” suffer from stress. Work, finances, family, health, and relationships are the most common culprits. Instead of taking action, many Britons keep grinding away, putting themselves last. Don’t be one of them!

 367.
Self-care is one of the foundations of good mental health, and creating a personal wellness routine can help. Ours centres around mindfulness practices that bring you back to the present (and keep you from ruminating) and incorporates CBD products for general health and relaxation.

 368.
How Stress Can Ruin Your Life — and Why It’s Time to Take Back Control

 369.
Everyone gets stressed from time to time. It’s what happens when you have too much going on in your life or you’re facing daunting tasks, but you’re not sure how to cope.

 370.
Particularly stressful periods can last for months, and can cause a range of physical and emotional problems:

 371.

 372.
Emotionally, you may feel angry, irritated, indecisive, worried, anxious, and have trouble concentrating.

 373.
Physically, you may have an upset stomach, headaches, and non-specific aches and pains.

 374.

 375.
These symptoms can be warning signs that it’s time to take action. You could probably use a holiday, but you can at least carve out an hour or so for a wellness routine in the evening.

 376.
Think you don’t have time? Think again. You can use the time you spend watching TV, browsing the internet, or stressing about tomorrow on a relaxing wellness routine that helps you centre your thoughts to find a better balance.

 377.
You’ll be able to find 30 minutes to spend on self-care no matter how busy you are — if you decide to prioritise your wellbeing. You deserve it!

 378.
Designing a Wellness Routine That Works

 379.
A personal wellness routine is a daily ritual focussing on self-care — so you can show up for everyone else and feel good doing it. Your wellness routine shouldn’t make you feel more stressed, so make sure to be realistic about scheduling some quality me-time.

 380.
An effective wellness routine incorporates proven stress-relief techniques that you can actively enjoy.

 381.
Your wellness routine should ideally include:

 382.

 383.
Some form of exercise or physical activity. Pick an activity you love and can stick to, whether that’s walking to work, going for a jog in the early evening, playing football, or hitting the gym a few times a week. Exercise won’t stop stress in its tracks, but it can give you a new perspective.

 384.
Connecting with others. Getting together with people who matter to you can shift your focus and relieve stress.

 385.
Something to get the mind going. Intellectual curiosity plays a massive part in our wellbeing, and if you haven’t done anything new or challenging in a while, now’s the time to start.

 386.
Gratitude. Thinking about the things you appreciate can help you refocus without denying that you’re stressed.

 387.
Time to yourself. Solitude and relaxation recharge those run-down batteries and help you see everything in a more positive light.

 388.

 389.
Our relaxing wellness routine, which is best practised in the evening, can help you with the last part.

 390.
How to Introduce CBD Products to Your Relaxing Wellness Routine

 391.
It’s no secret that there’s growing interest in cannabidiol (CBD) products in the UK and across the world. This non-psychoactive cannabinoid is derived from hemp, but it won’t get you high and is available without a prescription.

 392.
Research published in 2021 suggests that most UK adults who use CBD products incorporate cannabidiol into their self-care routines to reduce anxiety and stress and improve their general wellbeing. While CBD shouldn’t be used to cure or prevent any specific illnesses, it can play a relaxing role in an evening routine focused on self-care.

 393.
Some people specifically incorporate CBD products into mindfulness practices. Mindfulness practices, including meditation, can reduce stress and anxiety while improving sleep quality.

 394.
You have plenty of options if you’re interested in adding high-quality CBD products to your wellness routine, including:

 395.

 396.
CBD gummies. CBD gummies are a popular choice because they’re tasty and easy to use. Each gummy has a specific dose (usually 25 mg). The fact that these sweets are portable is another big bonus!

 397.
CBD oil. CBD oil is unquestionably the most well-known cannabidiol product. This CBD product comes in a bottle with a dripper, and users measure their desired dose before holding the oil under their tongues for 60 to 90 seconds.

 398.
CBD capsules. This CBD product is long-acting and takes a little longer to kick in. CBD capsules are convenient to use and can mark the beginning of a meditation routine.

 399.
CBD vape pens. Vapers may prefer to enjoy their CBD this way, and vaping doesn’t have to get in the way of meditation.

 400.

 401.
People who are curious about incorporating CBD products into their wellness routines should start with the lowest possible dose to achieve the desired effect and gradually increase the dosage over time if they so choose.

 402.
Are you interested in adding CBD to your mindfulness practices? You might want to take your chosen CBD product before you meditate and wait until you notice the desired effect.

 403.
How Mindfulness Practices Can Help You Stay Present in the Moment

 404.
Mindfulness is a set of practices — or a technique, if you prefer — that helps you stay fully present in the moment without any distractions. Mindfulness makes you aware of your thoughts in a non-judgmental way.

 405.
The underlying thought? Our thoughts shape our experience of life, but trying to banish unpleasant thoughts is often counter-effective. Being aware of our thoughts, and accepting them, can paradoxically help us let go of them. This process, in turn, frees us up to have a more positive experience.

 406.
Does it work, you wonder? While research is always ongoing, several studies published in the last few years show that people who practice mindfulness have lower subjective stress and anxiety levels. Mindfulness may improve your sleep quality, and it can also help you let go of work-related stress.

 407.
If you want mindfulness to work for you, you do have to be open to embracing its concepts. Fortunately, the ideas behind mindfulness are quite simple. There are multiple ways to go about practising mindfulness, but we’ll keep it accessible for now.

 408.
You could start by setting aside an hour of your time each evening. Use your chosen CBD product if you want, sit down in a comfortable, relaxing room, and sit with your thoughts. Then, pick the mindfulness practice that appeals most to you in the present moment.

 409.
1. Mindfulness Meditation (for Beginners)

 410.
Sit quietly in a comfortable position. Try the lotus pose on the floor if you like, and play some calming music if you want to.

 411.
Focus on your breathing. You don’t need to be proficient at any particular breathing techniques to benefit from the calming effect. Just breathe slowly, deeply, and intentionally.

 412.
Allow thoughts to come to you. Notice them. Don’t start thinking about ways to solve problems or worrying about how distressing your thoughts are. Simply allow them to be and observe them. “Oh, that’s what I’m thinking right now” is all it takes.

 413.
2. Mindfulness Colouring

 414.
Not everyone likes meditating. (Meditating is, in fact, quite hard!) If sitting with your thoughts doesn’t appeal to you, you could also try colouring.

 415.
Mindfulness colouring is different from drawing in that you don’t aim to create a specific image. Instead, you allow your mind to portray your current mood, using the colours you think best represent it. Some people use adult colouring books featuring mandalas, birds, or nature scenes for this practice.

 416.
Notice the calming motions of the pencils as they slide over the paper. Look at the pigments. Express yourself.

 417.
3. Mindfulness Walking

 418.
People who prefer an even higher level of activity might like the thought of mindfulness walking. Keep in mind that this isn’t exercise in the traditional sense — and take it slow. Focus on feeling everything your body does as you walk.

 419.
Walking on a treadmill is an option if you have one at home, but so is a leisurely walk through the neighbourhood. This exercise aims to get you in touch with your physical self, so allow yourself to feel everything about the experience.

 420.
You might feel your legs moving and your shoes hugging your feet. You might feel the wind on your face or the pleasant late-afternoon sun on your scalp. You may hear birds chirping or people talking. Observe everything without judgment, and aim to be fully present in the moment.

 421.
How Mindfulness and CBD Can Help You Let Go

 422.
It’s easy to get lost in this fast-paced modern life. There’s always more to do — and there are always more emails to answer. Many of us simply forget to make self-care a priority, and that’s a shame.

 423.
Setting time aside for a wellness routine sends your body and mind the message that you’re worth taking care of. A new habit of self-care that includes CBD products and mindfulness techniques might just be the start of a new chapter.

 424.
Your anxious thoughts don’t have to control you, but you do have to notice them. Denying their existence only makes them scream more loudly. Mindfulness can help you let go by paying attention, and while this process seems paradoxical, it also seems to work.

 448.

The CBD oil in your fridge, the CBD gummy in your mouth, and the CBD cream hydrating your skin might be a new and exciting part of your wellness routine. However, cannabidiol took an epic journey before finding its way into your life.

 449.
What did it take for cannabidiol to end up on the shelves? Join us on a journey through CBD’s long and fascinating history through the lens of major milestones!

 450.
1. 2737 BC: First Recorded Medical Cannabis Use

 451.
People have been using Cannabis sativa for millennia and historically valued the versatile crop for its fibre (and potential to make textile and paper) as well as its nutritional and medicinal properties.

 452.
The first recorded use of medical cannabis dates back to 2737 BC, when the Chinese emperor Shen Nung drank a tea made with marijuana.

 453.
The people of Ancient China wouldn’t have known about cannabidiol, of course, but CBD would nonetheless have been a part of the emperor’s experience. As one of over 100 cannabinoids in Cannabis sativa, CBD joined a complex medley of active compounds.

 454.
2. 1940: Roger Adams and Colleagues Isolate Cannabidiol

 455.
Marijuana (a word widely believed to have originated in Mexico) had become a popular recreational drug in the United States by the 1920s. That resulted in major efforts to ban the plant, which succeeded when the Marihuana Tax Act was passed in 1937.

 456.
The American chemist Roger Adams, from Boston, researched the organic structure of cannabis in this context. He and his colleagues, working at the University of Illinois, first isolated two cannabinoids in 1940.

 457.
One was the lesser-known compound Cannabinol (CBN), but the other was CBD. That means the first CBD extract was produced over the course of Adams’ research!

 458.
Its full structure wasn’t understood until later, but Adams and his colleagues conducted ground-breaking research without which modern CBD products wouldn’t exist.

 459.
3. 1963: Raphael Mechoulam Discovers THC

 460.
The Israeli organic chemist Raphael Mechoulam is now widely considered the “father of cannabis research”. Mechoulam and his colleague Yechiel Gaoni first isolated THC at the University of Jerusalem in 1963, promptly declaring it the intoxicating compound in cannabis.

 461.
From there, he continued his research, discovering other cannabinoids — both endogenous (made by the human body) and in cannabis.

 462.
4. 1988: CB1 Discovered

 463.
Scientists had a pretty good grasp on cannabinoids by the time the 1980s rolled around. They hadn’t yet figured out how cannabinoids interacted with the human body, though.

 464.
That all changed in 1988 when the first cannabinoid receptor (later called CB1) was discovered. A second receptor, CB2, was found in 1993.

 465.
These revolutionary discoveries led to everything we know about the endocannabinoid system today. We now know the endocannabinoid system to be a vast network of receptors and signals in the brain, spinal cord, nerve endings, and immune cells.

 466.
The research carried out in the ‘80s and ‘90s also made it clear that the endocannabinoid system and its two receptors play vital roles in regulating pain management, movement, behaviour, mood, memory, bone growth, and inflammation.

 467.
In short, humanity finally started to understand why the cannabinoids in marijuana and industrial hemp plants have effects. Research into the medicinal potential of cannabis started picking up steam at the same time.

 468.
5. 1990s: A Powerful Movement Leads to Important Legal Changes

 469.
While scientists continued to explore the medicinal power of cannabis, legislators across the world also had their hands full in the 1990s. California became the first US state to allow medical marijuana in 1996 under the Compassionate Use Act.

 470.
The European Union passed the Novel Food Regulation a year later. These regulations subjected all foods that weren’t widely used before 1997 to undergo strict assessments. Cannabidiol wasn’t added to the list until 2019. The UK’s Food Standards Agency established similar regulations declaring CBD a novel food at the same time.

 471.
6. 2013: CNN Airs the Documentary ‘Weed’

 472.
CNN aired a controversial documentary simply called “Weed” in 2013. It followed the story of Matt and Paige Figi and their twins. Young Charlotte, diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome, suffered from terrifying seizures that were successfully treated with CBD oil.

 473.
The US Food and Drug Agency approved the CBD-based prescription medication Epidiolex just a few years later, in 2018. The move offered hope to people suffering from rare seizure disorders.

 474.
7. 2018: The United States Passes the Farm Bill

 475.
The US Farm Bill made it into US law in 2018, legalising the cultivation of industrial hemp. Industrial hemp is defined as Cannabis sativa plants with a THC content of 0.03 per cent or less in the United States, and hemp is also naturally high in CBD. This low THC content doesn’t result in a high, and the new legislation made CBD products available on the open market.

 476.
The World Health Organisation published a critical review on cannabidiol in the same year, discussing its potential medicinal benefits and noting that CBD products do not appear to have an abusive potential.

 477.
CBD’s Long and Exciting Journey: A Final Word

 478.
The story of cannabidiol began thousands of years ago when the first people started using cannabis as a source of nutrition and medicine. Our ancient forebears knew nothing about chemistry, of course, but they relied on a primitive form of herbal medicine.

 479.
Cannabidiol wasn’t discovered and isolated until the 1940s, by which time cannabis was already illegal in many jurisdictions. However, further research slowly helped cannabis “out of the naughty corner” and into the limelight.

 480.
As CBB’s role as a non-psychoactive cannabinoid became clearer, commercial CBD products started appearing across the globe in the 2010s. That process continues to this day, along with questions about CBD’s regulation.

 481.
Still, CBD has made its way into the lives of many Britons, who can now freely enjoy cannabidiol as a novel food product and an integral part of their wellness routines.

 482.
Where will CBD go from here? Only time will tell! If history is a good judge, though, cannabidiol’s story may only just be beginning.

 511.

“If you don’t love yourself, nobody else will. Not only that, but you won’t be good at loving anyone else. Loving starts with the self.” — Dwayne Dyer

 512.
It’s hard to decide whether these words, spoken by American self-help guru Dwayne Dyer, are a kick up the bum or a gentle reminder to be kind to yourself. A bit of both, probably.

 513.
Covid has shifted our collective mindset, and over 75 per cent of adults now believe self-care is essential. The top self-care activities that people who want to take good care of their mental and physical health practice include at-home spa rituals, hitting the gym, exercising outside, and getting a haircut. Those are all great steps, but you might be missing out if you’re not prioritising self-compassion yet.

 514.
Dive in to discover what self-compassion means and why it matters. We’ll also look at ways to slide self-care into a wellness routine for relaxation and inner peace with CBD products.

 515.
What Is Self-Compassion? Why Do You Need to Be Kind to Yourself?

 516.
We often hold ourselves to higher standards than others. When we make the same mistakes that we’d forgive our relatives, friends, and colleagues for, those missteps linger in our minds — turning into a self-critical voice that makes things worse.

 517.
Self-compassion is the concept of being kind to ourselves in the face of stress and suffering. Self-compassion means recognising that you’re just as human as the next person — and just as imperfect. That’s OK. You’re doing the best you can, and you need to have a supportive relationship with yourself to thrive.

 518.
Does that make sense?

 519.
Of course, it does — but understanding a concept is quite different from practising it! People who want to prioritise self-care through self-compassion can incorporate these crucial elements:

 520.

 521.
Self-kindness. If being compassionate to others is easy for you, imagine you’re someone else. What kind words and feelings would you have for a friend facing your struggles?

 522.
Recognising your humanity. We’re all inherently flawed. You accept that about others. It’s harder to do the same for yourself, but you’ll get there!

 523.
Mindfullness. This set of practices helps you fully experience the present — without beating yourself up about past mistakes or worrying about the future.

 524.
A non-judgmental attitude. Being self-compassionate requires you to reflect on yourself and your actions without judging them.

 525.

 526.
The overall aim? Practising self-compassion can lift your mood and improve your wellbeing by embracing the fact that you’ll fail, make mistakes, and be imperfect. That doesn’t make you a bad person. It doesn’t make you less deserving of love and acceptance.

 527.
Tips for Practicing Self-Compassion

 528.
Self-compassion is a helpful philosophy that gets you closer to inner peace and continued wellbeing. The key to feeling the benefits is to practice self-compassion rather than just promising to be kind to yourself.

 529.
We can separate that into two distinct realms — your inner voice (the conversations you have with yourself) and your actions.

 530.
1. Having Compassionate Dialogues with Your Inner Self

 531.
If you want to take self-compassion to the next level, start by paying attention to the things you tell yourself.

 532.
How often are you your own harshest critic? How often do you beat yourself up about things you think you could have done better? How often do you tell yourself to prepare for the worst because you don’t deserve anything better?

 533.
Stop those thoughts in their tracks next time. Counter your negative self-talk with compassion. Did you try your best? Did you work hard? Did factors beyond your control stop you from achieving your goals, or were you too tired to be your best self? Recognise the efforts you made, and don’t just tell yourself that you’re not good enough.

 534.
2. Turning Self-Care Into a Verb: Create a Wellness Routine That Works

 535.
Being self-compassionate doesn’t work if you keep burning your candles at both ends. How much time do you devote to doing things you love and find fulfilling without tending to others’ needs in the process? How often do you give yourself the time to relax and spend time with your inner voice?

 536.
The answer to both of these questions is probably “not enough”.

 537.
You deserve better. A wellness routine that works for you incorporates stress-busting activities that benefit your mental and physical health. It also includes R&R.

 538.
Exercise, delegating tasks you don’t really have to do on your own, trying new and healthier foods, and meditating can all be part of a wellness routine that helps you practice self-compassion. If you’re not sure whether you’ll stay on track, setting aside at least an hour a day to spend with yourself can be very beneficial.

 539.
How to Create a Wellness Routine with CBD Products

 540.
CBD products have spiked in popularity in recent years — and research indicates that many consumers incorporate cannabidiol into wellness routines with the aim of improving their general health and wellbeing.

 541.
Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive, non-addictive cannabinoid that won’t get you high. CBD can be extracted from industrial hemp or marijuana plants, after which it’s processed further and added to a wide range of products. CBD products with a THC content of less than 0.02 per cent are legally available in Britain as over-the-counter novel foods.

 542.
Have you decided to include CBD products in your personal wellness routine? Read on for some inspiration.

 543.
1. Choosing the Right CBD Product for Your Needs

 544.
CBD products can be full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or CBD isolates:

 545.

 546.
Full-spectrum CBD includes many non-psychoactive cannabinoids, including terpenes and flavonoids. It has a THC content of up to 0.02 per cent.

 547.
Broad-spectrum CBD has the same cannabinoids but only contains trace amounts of THC.

 548.
CBD isolates are the purest form of CBD. These products don’t have any THC.

 549.

 550.
Consumers who would like to include CBD in their wellness routine can start by picking which type suits their needs best. After that, they can opt for a wide range of exciting products.

 551.
Which is best for you?

 552.
CBD oil remains one of the most popular CBD products. This fast-acting form of CBD comes in a glass bottle with a dropper, so you’ll have to measure your desired dose yourself. Once you do, you can use CBD oil by holding it under your tongue for 60 to 90 seconds. You can also add CBD oil to recipes or a relaxing hot bath.

 553.
CBD gummies are pre-dosed sweets that are easy to use and tasty, making them an excellent choice. People who prefer convenience can choose CBD capsules instead. They work similarly to CBD gummies because they pass through your digestive system, but they’re faster to use because you take them with some water.

 554.
People who like the idea of creating a relaxing self-care ritual may also want to explore CBD vape liquids and vape pens. You can vape CBD while reading a good book, meditating, or writing in a journal. The fact that vaping CBD is an ongoing experience appeals to some consumers.

 555.
Yet others prefer CBD creams and lotions. These luxurious skincare products provide topical action and keep your skin hydrated at the same time.

 556.
Looking beyond these staples, lots of exciting novel products are appearing on the market. CBD tea? CBD beard oil? CBD bath bombs? CBD-infused coffee? You can bet they all exist, but the list doesn’t end there.

 557.
2. Deciding How to Use CBD in Your Wellness Routine

 558.
Practising self-compassion is an ongoing project. Being kind to yourself is an important aspect, but so is allowing yourself to spend time on your own.

 559.
A CBD-based wellness routine can take many different forms. After using your chosen CBD product, you can:

 560.

 561.
Meditate. That can be as simple as sitting with your thoughts. If you’re trying to practice self-compassion, send loving thoughts to yourself and the rest of the world.

 562.
Say affirmations. Tell yourself that you’re doing well and that you’re good enough. Visualise your goals, and develop confidence that you can accomplish them.

 563.
Do yoga. A relaxing yoga routine can build flexibility and strength while also opening the door to a spiritual awakening.

 564.
Reframe your problems. Chronic worriers can benefit from reframing their challenges in a more positive way.

 565.
Journal. Write your thoughts down, or make a list of all the things you’ve done well during the day.

 566.

 567.
Developing Self-Compassion, One Day at a Time

 568.
It’s easy to forget that you matter just as much as everyone else, but practising self-compassion can revolutionise the way you think about yourself.

 569.
Self-compassion is a critical part of a good self-care routine because it reminds you that you’re good enough the way you are. Getting the hang of it requires an ongoing conversation with yourself, but a relaxing self-care routine can play a key role in that practice.

 570.
Our favourite daily routine incorporates CBD products and an hour to ourselves. No, not behind the computer or the TV, but spent on conscious reflection and self-improvement. Yoga, meditation, journaling, and positive reframing are all excellent choices.

 596.

Cannabidiol has come a long way in recent years!

 597.
It’s not been that long since CBD was exclusively available as part of a wider (and illegal) whole — marijuana. Now, cannabidiol extract is widely and legally available all over the place. While some consumers are just discovering the world of cannabidiol, others have come to take it for granted.

 598.
A booming and innovative market like the CBD industry can’t stay static for very long, though! Are you curious about what’s next? Do you want to know what the future of CBD looks like?

 599.
So do we. We might not have a crystal ball, but speculating about emerging trends and innovations is always fun.

 600.
1. CBD Products Will Find Their Way to Mainstream Retailers

 601.
More and more mainstream retailers — of the kind that most UK residents occasionally visit and buy from — are starting to carry CBD. Holland & Barrett, Tesco, and Amazon UK are among the giants already stocking cannabidiol products. We’ll place a bet on more joining them soon!

 602.
The UK declared CBD a novel food product back in 2019. Since then, the Food Standards Agency has taken steps to ensure that all cannabidiol products available in Britain are authorised, have a THC content of 0.02 per cent or less, are correctly labelled, and are safe to consume.

 603.
As increasing numbers of mainstream retailers hop on the CBD bandwagon, shopping for cannabidiol will likely become easier, safer, and more popular.

 604.
2. More Manufacturers Will Blend CBD and Exciting Nutraceuticals

 605.
The term “nutraceuticals” describes foods that straddle the line between nutrition and medicine. Also called functional foods and occasionally “superfoods,” these consumables may be tasty, but they also come with extra health benefits.

 606.
You can already find CBD products that incorporate nutraceuticals on the market today, ranging from CBD oil to CBD energy bars. Watch this space, because we predict that more and more CBD products with turmeric, ginger, spirulina, soy protein, flaxseed oil, fenugreek, and other exciting health foods.

 607.
Can’t find any CBD/nutraceutical blends? You can simply use your desired dose of CBD oil to create your own fascinating concoctions for now. It probably won’t be long before you’ll find an exciting range of novel CBD products on the market, though!

 608.
3. Consumers Can Look Forward to More Convenient CBD Edibles

 609.
Building on the trend of combining CBD products and nutraceuticals, there’s no doubt that CBD enthusiasts love to incorporate cannabidiol into their wellness routines in a way that works for them. CBD gummies are already well-known, but some people crave CBD energy bars, ready-made CBD preworkout drinks, and CBD-infused coffee.

 610.
As the CBD market continues to grow, manufacturers will seek new ways to “wow” potential customers. We think that will lead to a growth in the availability of ultra-convenient CBD edibles.

 611.
4. The CBD Industry Will Become More Competitive

 612.
The global CBD market was valued at US$5.18 in 2021, and it’s projected to keep growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.8 per cent until 2030. Based on those figures, the global CBD market may be worth a whopping US$23.77 billion at that time!

 613.
As more players enter the market, the cannabidiol industry is also bound to become more competitive. The rules of supply and demand will push mediocre manufacturers off the shelves and into bankruptcy.

 614.
The market will hold space for tried-and-trusted mainstream CBD brands as well as boutique manufacturers catering to smaller markets, but the companies that jumped on the CBD bandwagon just to make a profit probably won’t make it. This scenario would be music to any CBD consumer’s ears because only safe and high-quality products would remain.

 615.
5. New CBD Delivery Methods May Emerge

 616.
If you’ve been taking cannabidiol, you’re probably familiar with your main options. After picking between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or CBD isolate products, you’re probably choosing CBD oil, CBD capsules, CBD gummies, CBD creams, or CBD vape liquids. You have other choices, to be sure, but not that many.

 617.
Research has already been conducted into possible new CBD delivery methods. These new methods may slow or prevent the degradation of cannabidiol and make CBD delivery more convenient. High-bioavailability CBD products, which take effect quickly and are absorbed very well, will take priority.

 618.
Inhalers are one possibility. Keep your eyes peeled to discover what else may appear on the market!

 619.
6. CBD Research Will Pick Up Steam

 620.
As cannabidiol becomes even more widely known and accepted, more ambitious studies will probe the potential effects and uses of CBD.

 621.
While there’s been a lot of research already, there’s still so much more to be learned about CBD. We hope that all the questions people have about cannabidiol will be answered in the near future — by way of high-quality, well-designed scientific studies that uncover all the potential benefits and risks.

 622.
7. CBD May Be More Tightly Regulated

 623.
The UK CBD market is already regulated quite tightly, but things are different across the pond. The US Food and Drug Agency made it clear that it’s seeking a better way forward in terms of regulation in January 2023, so American consumers can expect significant changes.

 624.
We’ll have to wait and see how the rest of the globe deals with cannabidiol products, but we predict that governments will define the line between CBD as a wellness product and CBD as a medicine more clearly in the future.

 625.
8. CBD Will Become More Accepted

 626.
Older generations might still associate any product derived from Cannabis sativa (whether hemp or marijuana) with illicit street drugs. As CBD becomes more well-known, younger consumers will likely be aware that cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid. They won’t see CBD as a “naughty” or slightly taboo product and embrace it as part of everyday life — whether or not they personally choose to use cannabidiol.

 627.
Watching a colleague take CBD won’t be any weirder than watching someone eat a sandwich or pop a vitamin pill.

 628.
What Do You Think About the Future of CBD?

 629.
We see the future of CBD as exciting — filled with innovative, high-quality products. We predict that public knowledge about cannabidiol will continue to grow, and CBD products will become more and more acceptable. At the same time, we expect the CBD market to become increasingly regulated, whether through governments or moves towards self-regulation. That should ensure that every CBD product on the shelves is clearly and accurately labelled.

 630.
We see the future as bright and green. What about you?

 656.

Even all the kids on the internet are eager to tell you to “touch grass”.

 657.
When’s the last time you did that — really did that?

 658.
Most of us call a concrete jungle home these days, but there’s no denying it: we’re wired to be one with the Earth.

 659.
You don’t need a specific excuse to get out there, but you might have some. Stress, existential boredom, a sedentary lifestyle, and poor sleep are all good reasons to start spending more time in nature.

 660.
Some might even say it’s therapy.

 661.
We’ll cover why spending time in nature is so important and what you can do to enjoy a peaceful and meaningful experience. If you already incorporate CBD products in your health and wellness routine, you can also take them outside. This guide will show you how.

 662.
Why Reconnecting with Nature Is So Vital for Your Health

 663.
Spending time in nature may be the last thing you want to do. A nice cup of coffee and the TV are waiting for you at home, after all, and trekking through the mud may sound less appealing than staying put.

 664.
Whether you’re feeling under the weather or simply know you can do better, there are plenty of reasons to engage in your own version of nature therapy. Still need convincing? Read on.

 665.
1. Spending Time Outdoors Helps You Sleep Better

 666.
Spending time outdoors, and exposing yourself to direct sunlight, contributes to the optimal functioning of your circadian rhythm. This internal body clock controls your sleep/wake cycle.

 667.
Anyone who has been having trouble sleeping, or suffers from insomnia, could benefit from improvements in this area! Nature therapy during the day helps you sleep better at night — by making you more tired at the right time and making it easier to nod off. Restorative sleep is one of the keys to good mental and physical health.

 668.
2. Heeding Nature’s Call Improves Your Mood and Wellbeing

 669.
Spending time outdoors — not on your local high street, but somewhere with trees, plants, and animals — also improves your mental health.

 670.
According to the American Psychological Association, nature therapy reduces stress, boosts your mood, and increases your ability to concentrate. Research further shows that we tend to be kinder and more compassionate when we spend time in nature.

 671.
Best of all? Spending time in the great outdoors regularly could make you a happier person overall.

 672.
3. Nature Therapy Motivates You to Exercise

 673.
Are you short on time? You could follow along with an aerobics video or spend some time working the machines at the gym. Research shows that green environments are the best places to get some exercise, though!

 674.
People who walk outside do so faster and more intensively than those who use treadmills. Despite that, they report feeling more refreshed and less tired. If you’re feeling demotivated, nature therapy could be the perfect way to find the will to get your body moving.

 675.
Ideas for ‘Nature Therapy’: Making the Most of Your Time in the Great Outdoors

 676.
Has it been ages since you reconnected with nature? The American Psychological Association speculates that we subconsciously crave time in the great outdoors because that’s where we originally evolved.

 677.
You have plenty of opportunities to get out there, even if you live in an urban environment — any place with greenery will do the trick:

 678.

 679.
Head for a local park during your lunch break

 680.
Spend some time hiking a nature trail during weekends

 681.
Go camping — the wilder, the better

 682.
Explore water sports, fishing, or walking by the sea

 683.

 684.
If you can’t do any of those things right now, studies reveal that even “taking the outside in” can be beneficial. Adding some houseplants or images of natural environments can boost your mood at work or at home. Those things don’t, on the other hand, offer the benefit of fresh air or direct sunlight.

 685.
Are you ready to get out there? Here are some ideas for nature therapy activities.

 686.
1. Go for a Walk Outdoors

 687.
Going for a walk is easy and obvious. It’s what you do in nature if you can’t think of anything else. A brisk walk contributes to your physical fitness levels and offers you the benefits of nature, whether you’re at the park or in the woods.

 688.
2. Meditate or Practice Yoga in Nature

 689.
You could also take your regular wellness routine outside. Do you normally meditate in the evening or do yoga exercises in the morning? As long as the weather is nice, you could do that outside, too.

 690.
Your meditation might be more effective when you’re outdoors, so you’ll hit two birds with one stone. If you normally use CBD products before you meditate, you can keep doing that when you take your wellness practices to nature.

 691.
3. Nature Photography or Drawing

 692.
Creative people might enjoy taking pictures of the beautiful things they see outdoors, or sitting down to draw a nature scene. Take a comfy blanket and your photography equipment or drawing supplies — and enjoy yourself.

 693.
CBD products can be an enjoyable addition to an artistic nature experience, and you might like to bring some small snacks and a few drinks along, too.

 694.
3. Camping Outdoors

 695.
A weekend nature trip offers an amazing opportunity to unplug from the daily grind. Camping requires some additional planning, but it allows you to see parts of the country you might never have experienced before.

 696.
4. A Day at the Beach

 697.
Many people think of trees when they imagine “nature,” but water has calming effects, too. No matter where in the UK you are, it’s easy to hop on a train and find yourself walking on the beach and collecting interesting pebbles within a few hours. These “blue spaces” are associated with improved general health.

 698.
How to Incorporate CBD Products Into Your Nature Therapy Practices

 699.
More and more UK adults are curious about cannabidiol products. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found in Cannabis sativa plants, including industrial hemp. CBD products are legal and available over the counter in Britain, and you have an impressive range of different options, including:

 700.

 701.
CBD oil, deposited under the tongue

 702.
CBD gummies, eaten like normal sweets

 703.
CBD capsules, swallowed with some water

 704.
CBD vape pens and vape liquids

 705.

 706.
While CBD research into the potential benefits and side effects of CBD products is still ongoing, many people use CBD products as an addition to their wellness routines, with the aim of improving general health and wellbeing.

 707.
This routine could be a relaxing addition to your time in nature. CBD consumers planning to use CBD while spending time outdoors may prefer to opt for portable versions like CBD vape pens and gummies.

 708.
In Conclusion: How Spending Time in Nature Can Help You Reconnect with Yourself

 709.
If you’re feeling disconnected from the wider world or simply want to improve your mood and get some exercise, spending time outdoors can be a great way to reconnect with yourself.

 710.
Research reveals that people who spend at least 120 minutes a week in nature experience the biggest benefits. That’s true whether they opt for numerous short walks in the park or one long weekend in the great outdoors.

 711.
People who haven’t spent much time in nature recently may need a while to get used to the practice. They may feel bored before discovering the mental and physical health benefits the natural world has to offer. Our advice? Stick with it, anyway.

 712.
We all have an inherent drive to be one with the wider world, and unplugging yourself from your modern environment is a wonderful place to start.

 745.
How to Create a Relaxing Space at Home (Step-by-Step)

 746.
We all experience stress. Most of us also manage to find healthy ways to cope. Research shows that a calm, clutter-free environment where you truly feel at home can play an important role in relieving stress. People who see their homes as restorative and peaceful are more likely to report that they feel happy.

 747.
That’s partly because visual clutter creates mental clutter — and partly because cleaning, tidying, and organising can be soothing activities in their own right.

 748.
You might want your whole home to be a safe haven. If you’re planning to create a relaxing routine that includes calming practices like meditation, yoga, reading, colouring, or knitting, though, setting aside a special area can be helpful. This personal wellness space can give you something to look forward to every day and remind you to focus on self-care.

 749.
Here are some tips to get you started.

 750.
1. Decide Where to Put Your Personal Wellness Spot

 751.
It’s nice if you have a spare room you can fully dedicate to wellness, but not everyone has that luxury. A corner of the living room or bedroom can also work perfectly.

 752.
2. Create a Mood Board

 753.
Don’t just run out to the shops or start browsing ecommerce sites to order a bunch of decorations to spruce your space up! If you want to be intentional about your relaxing space, make a mood board first. Collect colours, pictures, and calming décor ideas and consider which elements work well in combination.

 754.
3. Decide What to Include in Your Wellness Spot

 755.
A relaxing couch, a soft, cosy rug, ambient lighting with dimmers, an incense burner, a print or poster of a calming nature scene or an inspiring quote, and personal wellness supplies might all have a place in your relaxing area. If you plan to add CBD oil, capsules, vape pens, or gummies to your wellness routine, adding a small and beautiful storage area for your CBD supplies can be helpful.

 756.
Developing a Relaxing Routine for Improved Wellbeing

 757.
Routines have a calming effect — they make your day predictable and give you something to look forward to. People hoping to create a relaxing routine at home have plenty of options. (Which is good because not everyone relaxes in the same way!) You may want to keep your routine the same every day, or you might want to change things up a little.

 758.
All of these relaxing activities pair well with CBD products and help you achieve a calm, accepting mindset.

 759.
1. Breathing Exercises

 760.
All sorts of different breathing exercises exist, but you don’t need to master complex techniques to benefit from intentional breathing.

 761.
One common breathing exercise for relaxation simply involves:

 762.

 763.
Sitting upright, with a straight back.

 764.
Inhaling slowly, deeply, and intentionally through your nose— “into your abdomen”. (Your belly should be moving as you breathe.)

 765.
Exhaling slowly through your mouth. Imagine that you’re a gradually-deflating balloon, and allow your breath to leave your lungs slowly.

 766.
Count to five while inhaling and exhaling if your mind is still racing. Keep going for at least five minutes!

 767.

 768.
2. Mindfulness Colouring

 769.
You could also opt to engage in mindfulness colouring. Mindfulness is a set of practices that aims to help you be fully present in the moment — without judging your thoughts or problem-solving. Mindfulness meditation can be quite tricky to master, but mindfulness colouring is an accessible technique anyone can try.

 770.
You can invest in a set of nice pencils and quality paper and then create doodles or circles. Adult colouring books are another very popular choice. Mindfulness calls for people to be aware of their physical sensations, including smells and the feeling of holding a pencil while colouring.

 771.
3. Guided Meditation

 772.
Meditation “noobs” may not have a clue where to start — yet, this practice has been shown to improve wellbeing and promote relaxation time and time again. Choosing a guided meditation is a great way to start. It’s not difficult to find guided meditations on YouTube or podcast platforms like Apple Podcasts.

 773.
4. Listening to Relaxing Music

 774.
Simply listening to music and not doing anything else is another good way to relax. Of course, relaxing music can also be combined with reading, yoga, CBD vape pens that give you something to do with your hands, or breathing exercises.

 775.
5. Progressive Muscle Relaxation

 776.
Progressive muscle relaxation is a wonderful technique for people whose mental stress has translated to physical aches and pains. Progressive muscle relaxation can ease back and neck pain and help you get a good night’s sleep.

 777.
Lay on the floor (on a comfy rug) or in bed. You can choose to start at your head or your feet — either way, you make your way to the other end of your body. Tense each muscle, hold it for a few seconds, and let go. Feel yourself relax, and try to let your muscles go completely limp.

 778.
By the time you’re done, you should feel much more relaxed.

 779.
6. Yoga

 780.
Yoga techniques are harder to master at home. If you don’t already know basic yoga techniques, YouTube videos or online courses can help. This ancient spiritual discipline has been shown to help improve wellbeing and feelings of calm in numerous different studies. It can also improve muscle tone and flexibility.

 781.
Adding CBD Products to Your Relaxing Wellness Routine: What Do You Need to Know?

 782.
Public interest in cannabidiol, better known simply as CBD, has steadily been rising over the last few years. CBD is a non-intoxicating, non-psychoactive component of hemp.

 783.
Available over the counter, CBD products either contain trace amounts of THC (in the case of full- and broad-spectrum CBD) or no THC at all (as with CBD isolates). That means CBD won’t get you high. While CBD products shouldn’t be used to cure or prevent any specific medical condition, people who add CBD products to their wellness routines typically do so with stress relief and relaxation in mind.

 784.
If you’re curious about trying CBD products, you have lots of choices — each of which can play a different role in your wellness routine. Let’s take a look!

 785.
Adding CBD Gummies to Your Wellness Routine

 786.
CBD gummies are sweets that contain cannabidiol. Many people prefer to opt for CBD gummies made with CBD isolate to ensure they don’t ingest THC. The fact that CBD gummies come pre-dosed makes them a great choice for people who don’t want to worry about measuring the correct dosage.

 787.
Incorporating CBD Oil in Your Relaxing Ritual

 788.
CBD oil remains one of the most famous cannabidiol products. It comes in a bottle with a dropper and requires users to measure the correct dose before holding it under the tongue for a minute to 90 seconds. The effects of CBD oil, when used sublingually, kick in faster. Some people may also appreciate the ritual of measuring the dose out and holding CBD oil under their tongue.

 789.
Using CBD Capsules as a Wellness Supplement

 790.
CBD capsules are long-acting cannabidiol products. While the desired effect takes longer to show up compared to CBD gummies, cannabidiol capsules are easy to swallow with a little water. Some people take CBD capsules with them for “on the go,” but there’s no reason not to choose this delivery method to create a relaxing routine at home.

 791.
Choosing CBD Vape Pens for Your Relaxing Routine

 792.
People who vape may prefer to opt for CBD vape pens. If you prefer to have something to fidget with, or you prefer an active process that takes longer, vaping CBD can be an excellent accompaniment to a relaxing routine of listening to music or meditating.

 793.
Other Options for Adding CBD to Your Wellness Routine

 794.
If taking a relaxing bath has long been a part of your relaxing ritual to relieve stress, you might be interested to hear that a variety of CBD bath products, including bath bombs, bath salts, and shampoos, are also on the market.

 795.
A relaxing bath can, of course, be followed by moisturising creams — some of which also contain cannabidiol.

 796.
Relaxing with a Personal Wellness Routine: Some Final Words

 797.
Let’s face it — nearly everyone would benefit from taking more time out of this fast-paced world to relax at home.

 798.
Sitting down in your cluttered living room to read a book while your phone is beeping in the background and the TV is blaring probably won’t cut it. You have to be intentional about your wellness routine to relax fully.

 799.
You can create a peaceful daily ritual by:

 801.
Setting a room, or a little nook or cranny in another room, aside as a personal wellness oasis. Decorate it in calming colours, with extra touches like candles and soft rugs.
