18.

Nearly 8 out of every 10 people will have low at some point in life. is one of the top reasons people seek medical treatment. It is also the No. 1 reported reason for seeking . The good news is chronic low back pain is one of the conditions that research suggests may be an effective tool for treating. One recent review of 22 acupuncture studies showed that it provided short-term relief from chronic back pain. It also showed there was greater improvement in pain for people who got acupuncture compared to those who received a “sham” treatment. Other studies have found, though, that sham acupuncture can be as effective as actual acupuncture. Those studies also found that, compared to standard treatment, both actual acupuncture and sham acupuncture are more effective. Recommended Related to Back Pain People living with serious back pain have to sort through a lot of mixed messages about opioid - or narcotic - painkillers. On the one hand, you've heard stories about the seeming epidemic of addiction to these drugs, like OxyContin, Percocet, and Vicodin. All those celebrities checking into rehab for painkiller addiction may give you the impression that the lure of these drugs is irresistible, that we're all just a few pills away from addiction. But on the other hand, you might have heard that... Guidelines from the American Pain Society and American College of Physicians say doctors should consider acupuncture as an alternative therapy for patients with chronic low-back pain that's not helped by conventional treatment. How Acupuncture Appears to Help Back Pain Acupuncture began in China more than 2, 500 years ago. It involves inserting thin needles at certain points on the body. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the body has more than 2, 000 of these points. They are connected by pathways or meridians, which create a flow of energy called Qi (pronounced “chee”). Stimulating these points is said to correct the imbalance of qi and improve the flow of energy. Practitioners believe that this helps relieve pain and improve health. It's thought the effects come from stimulating the central . This may trigger the release of chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and . These chemicals either alter the experience of pain or produce bodily changes that promote a sense of well-being. Other theories suggest acupuncture works by: Speeding the relay of electromagnetic signals. This may begin the flow of pain-killing chemicals such as endorphins. Or it may release immune system cells in the body. Triggering the release of natural . These are chemicals in the that may lessen pain or promote . Changing chemistry by altering the release of neurotransmitters and neurohormones. Neurotransmitters either stimulate or dampen nerve impulses. Neurohormones can affect the function or activity of an organ in the body.

 27.

For many years, I have sought to draw attention, as a marriage counselor and author, to the diminishing sex life of the American couple. CNN just a few months ago ran a story claiming that 40 million Americans live in marriages that are utterly platonic. That constitutes about one third of all married couples. But here's something much more tangible that can give you an idea of what a parched sex desert the American bedroom has become. Even so august a publication as the New York Times ran a big story about Reverend Ed Young, pastor of an evangelical Church in Texas, who issued a call for a week of sex among married couples while pacing in front of a large bed. Amazing, a Christian pastor gives a sermon calling on his community to launch a seven-day sex marathon (or in his more religious syntax, 'congregational coupling') and it makes Section A of the most respected publication in the land. One church breaking the national married sex average of once-a-week-for-seven-minutes-at-a-time jolts the rest of the country who are struggling to keep up. And as people read the article they are wondering, how are these Christian going to pull it off? Will all the men be on a Viagra drip? Will there be a live porn feed into each room to keep the couples amorously focused? Will some of the wives hire surrogates? Time was when a man and woman who were married, lying naked next to each other night after night, might not find it all that surprising that they end up making love. After all, who could resist? But in our culture, where sex has lost all mystery and therefore much of its magnetism, the average husband's hands are fiddling with the remote most nights instead of turning any of his wife's knobs. Still, the question can be asked whether giving couples a divine command to go at it like sex machines seven nights running is the best advice by which to rejuvenate the shriveling American libido. In other words, is quantity a replacement for quality? And is it true that huge doses of sex artificially injected into a marriage will rejuvenate intimacy? What if the sex ends up perfunctory and passionless, with both feeling burned out and uninterested by the time the week is over. Will they not be worse off than when they started? In truth, America does not suffer from a lack of sex, but from a loss of desire for sex. Sex is the natural and organic outcome of a deep-seated erotic longing to be one with the object of one's love. But for many couples, eroticism has been lost from their relationships and can only be restored with the eight erotic ingredients of passion and desire. Since one of the most important of those eight is delayed gratification and the thrill of the chase, here is a more focused suggestion for a week of sex, especially for those couples who have a moribund sex life: practice sex without climax. In other words, have sex that is means-oriented rather than goal-oriented. Enjoy the journey rather than being hell-bent on the finish line. Don't go for sexual climax. That's what ensures that sex comes in at under ten minutes. Because as soon as orgasm is achieved, our bodies, especially a man's, is purged of its sexual appetite. Sexual climax diminishes rather heightens our desire for sex. That's why so many of you women are lying next to dead corpses as soon as he's had his fun.

Stewart is the FIRST CHIROPRACTOR who has ever treated me! He is great at what he does! I am a 16 year old junior high school student who plays high school varsity football and was diagnosed after a hard hit during a game with a con...cussion in September 2014. My doctor who specializes in concussions suggested to my parents that I see a chiropractor for my continued headaches. A friend of mine named Braxton referred me to Dr. Stewart. After several adjustments and therapy my headaches have decreased tremendously! I have gone to his office with a headache and as soon as he adjust me my headache is gone! I wish he could travel with me until I am headache free!! I recommend anyone who needs a chiropractor to see Dr. Dwight Stewart! Gena Woodward is the physical therapist in the office. I have received physical therapy at another facility in the past. Gena is a very good physical therapist! I would refer anyone I know who needs physical therapy to see Gena! Pain Care AssociatesCynthia L. rated I have been going to Dr Stewart at Pain Care Associates in Little Rock for about 7 years. In 17+ years of chronic “back” pain I have been to more than 10 chiropractors in 4 states and 2 other countries and Dr Stewart is my favorite chiropractor (and Dr of any specialty). Wh...ether I have pain in my lower back, upper back, ribs, neck, or jaw he has always provided great care that provides either immediate or very rapid pain relief. He is very thorough in each exam and uses multiple techniques depending on the issues. Dr Stewart is a caring and compassionate doctor that listens to the patient and is not condescending. I never hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I currently live abroad, but the first thing I do after I buy my plane ticket each time is to call his office and schedule appointments. Dr Stewart is a truly gifted chiropractor! Pain Care AssociatesJoyce W. rated Having worked in the medical field for over 30 years puts a very hard strain on your body from standing, bending, twisting, lifting, sitting, and working at the computer for long hours. Suffering from fibromyalgia, chronic neck, back, sciatica pain and headaches; Dr. Stewart... and his friendly professional staff have always taken care of my overall health. I have been a patient of Dr. Stewart for 15 years, he uses the cutting edge technology and facilities. Without his help and guidance, my quality of life would be very painful. I push my body at work and home too hard. Dr. Stewart has taught me what my body's limitations are. He gives my body regular alignments to keep me happy and healthy.

Many Georgia massage schools offer only 500 clock-hour certifications, which is the minimum, entry-level requirement for the State of Georgia. In order to practice massage therapy in the state of Georgia, you must possess a Georgia Massage Therapy License. This license can be obtained by completing our certified program, passing the MBLEx exam and submitting the state board application plus fees. The MBLEx is the sole licensing exam for the Massage Profession; this facilitates portability and standardization for Massage Therapists. The MBLEx (Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination) is governed by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards FSMTB. It is designed to provide a standard examination for students of Massage for entry-level professional scope of practice in gaining licensure. To be NCBTMB Board Certified, therapists must have 750 hours of classroom training, along with 250 hours of work experience. Achievement of Board Certification is the highest attainable credential level in the profession and provides a significant competitive edge for career advancement. 63.

Whether you’re a regular at the spa or have a partner who is, sometimes the sensual massage of our fantasies can fall a little short when you try it yourself. Below, we offer practical tips for giving a massage, from top to tip. Get in the Mood Here you can take a cue from spas or health resorts. Lighting should be fairly low (candle-lit, if possible!) and some low music will help create the right atmosphere. Obviously both should reflect what will help you and your partner relax, as everyone’s tastes are different. Let your partner lie down comfortably on their stomach, with their arms straight back or bent forward as is comfortable. Ask Before They Receive Just like a professional masseur, you should ask if there’s any area on your partner’s body that is particularly in need of attention or sensitive. No, we aren’t talking about moving straight to the naughty bits (massages involve some teasing after all.) It’s good to check up on this even if you’re confident in your rub down skills, because every body is different. Get On Top This may not seem very sexy, but the key is to relax your partner, then work them back up. Straddle their back and start by warming your hands. Rub them together and then place four fingers on each side of the base of their neck. Begin to massage in circles, moving down the neck and back up to their hairline. Some people enjoy having nails run through their hair, and some can find even light fingertips uncomfortable, so watch to see if they tense at all. As you move up and down the neck, begin to go lower, into a shoulder rub. Shoulders & Arms Here you can use a much stronger touch, using your fingers and palms to get into the muscles of their neck and shoulders. This is the sort of massage you’ll probably be most familiar with giving, but slowing it down can make it much more sensual than a half-hearted rub when you’ve been sitting at a computer too long. Take both hands and work on one shoulder at a time, moving downward to the upper arm. Spine To move down the back, we’re going to avoid the ‘karate-chop’ motion you’ve seen on TV. Trained masseurs can make it feel amazing but we’re keeping it simple here. No matter how good it might feel having it done by a professional, it’s not very sexy. Imagine a fern leaf lying along the spine. As you massage with your flat hands, use your thumb and the fleshy part at the base of it as a source of strength. Follow the muscles as they fan out on the back, upward and outward. To keep the skin taut and easier to run your hands over, try this method: placing your right hand flat and perpendicular on the left side of the spine, push up and out in a backwards ‘j’ movement, while pushing straight up along the spine with your left hand just behind. Lower Back Place for your palms flat on the small of their back, with your thumbs on either side of the spine. Using your four fingers as an anchor, you can use your thumbs to make small circles on either side of the spine, up and down the lower back. You can let your hands wander downward for a tease, and then back up, going lower and lower every time you return. Because this part of the back is fleshier than other part of the back, adding more massage oil can make it easier to slowly massage. Switch it Up Just because this is a sensual massage doesn’t mean you need to keep the speed at painfully slow. You can change up the pressure and the pace to keep them yearning for your touch. Try experimenting with temperature play by switching from hot massage oil to ice and back. Get Kinky Again, just because we call it ‘sensual massage’ doesn’t mean it can’t be kinky. You can experiment with role play by posing as the masseuse willing to provide a ‘happy ending’, or add some BDSM accessories. You can work your partner into a frenzy by restraining them during the massage, or blindfold them so they don’t know what’s coming next. Can they handle a bit of pain from a flogger, or even a feather tickler? Enjoy a Different Vibe A good way to alternate the sensation (and give your hands a break) is the addition of a personal massager. Using a small, handheld vibrator such as SIRI™2 or LILY™ 2 lets you use the massager as an extension of your hand, and you can move in time to the vibration pattern of your choice. Or, you can go for high-powered tension relief from a wand-style vibrator. LELO’s SMART WAND™ has a special SenseTouch™ setting that let the vibration be controlled by contact with the skin, which makes for an amazing, spa-level massage whether you’re using it on a partner, or treating yourself. Conclusion You don’t need to be trained as a masseuse to offer your partner a sensual and relaxing experience. Massages aren’t a step by step procedure. Let your partner’s reactions dictate where you hands go next. Take note of the areas that they react to the most, and tease or indulge them as you see fit. It’s all about exploring their body and learning what they like and what they love. It’s a perfect way to connect physically, whether it’s during kinky role play or an intimate back rub at the end of a long week.

 72.

Located right at the entrance of Kabukicho, Tokyo’s famed red light district, I found Asian Relax. Above the entrance was a large, brightly lit sign that said, “Traditional Thai Massages – Welcome, Foreigner.” The sign peaked my interest, and I before I knew it, I found myself following the sign and walking upstairs to the second floor.I walked through the door and found myself in a small waiting room. The waiting room had a single black couch that could sit two people and a rectangular coffee table in front of it. When I entered the waiting room a salaryman was already sitting on the couch; he was being helped by the shop’s manager. With nowhere else to sit, I remained standing at the entrance, slipped off my shoes and put on a pair of slippers, and waited. A few minutes later, the manager led the salaryman to the massage rooms and I sat down on the couch taking his place. On the coffee table in front of me was the menu of possible massage options, durations and their prices. The three types of massages available where regular, oil and powder. When the manager returned, he immediately asked me, “English only?” I nodded. “Ok, ” he said. He pointed to the menu and asked, “Which one?” I pointed to the oil massage for 90 minutes. “Ok, ” he said. He then pulled out the money tray I wanted to choose my masseuse, so I asked him, “Nomination onegaishimasu.” Nomination please. He nodded, took out a book, and flipped it open. He then went through the pages and showed me the ladies currently available. Each girl had three or four pictures of her and they didn’t look obviously photoshopped, which was a promising sign. Judging by their photos, all the girls looked like they were in their mid to late twenties; they all looked attractive. I pointed at Minami and he nodded. I placed 14, 500YEN on the money tray, stood up, and the manager led me to the massage rooms. The back room area consisted of long hallway with massage rooms on either side. There were six rooms. He led me to the first door on the left, pointed inside, and asked me to undress and put on the bathrobe, then closed the door behind me. The massage room was larger than I had expected. Unlike other establishments I’ve visited, which separate rooms with flimsy cubicle walls, these rooms were real rooms. The room had a dimmed orange glow from the ceiling lights. A mat the size of a single cot was on the floor. Spanning the perimeter of the room, at the bottom of the walls, was a mirror about two feet tall. I would later realize that these mirrors were made for looking up your masseuse’s dress, a nice perk if you’re into that sort of thing. I undressed, placing my clothes on the hangers provided, and changed into the white robe. After about five minutes later, I heard a knock on the door and Minami entered. She looked exactly like her picture. She was probably 32 or 33, had long black hair that almost went down to her waist, large eyes and a bright smile. She wore a pink miniskirt and matching top, which looked to be the establishment’s standard uniform. Taking a guess, I’d say she was no more than 160 cm (5’ 3”) tall. For my entire session, she maintained a playful and sweet demeanor; she didn’t seem tired or burnout. Immediately after entering the room she greeted me in English. For the rest of my session we spoke in English; her English was good, obviously not fluent, but I could tell she was comfortable speaking English with me, which was a big bonus. She sat down next to me and we made small talk: where I’m from, my work, age, how long I’ve been in Japan, etc. Besides the small the small talk, I remained pretty quiet for the rest of the massage. During the massage, about every fifteen minutes of so, Minami would ask me if everything felt good, or grab my cock and make a joke; if there’s one thing I should emphasize about Minami, it’s that she’s a playful jokester, and that’s something I loved about her. After the small talk was over, she offered me something to drink, I asked for some water, she left and returned with a small glass. I took a few sips and then she asked to take off my bathrobe. She then instructed me sit up crossed legged. Standing behind me, she massaged my shoulders and neck, while we waited for the shower to become available. Once the shower opened up, which you could hear from the room, Minami wrapped a towel around my waist, took my hand, and led me to the shower. Like her jokes, the shower was a playful experience. She washed my whole body from head to toes. Several times she grabbed my cock, which was erect, and said, “Ohh, ready, ready!” She even washed in between my ass, somewhat playfully and somewhat seriously. After the shower, we returned to my room and I toweled off. Minami disappeared for a few minutes and returned wearing a new outfit; a lingerie baby slip that went just a few inches past her bottom – it looked good. From there she got straight to business and she told me to lie down face first.

 99.

I spent 10 years dating my now-husband trying desperately not to get pregnant. All through college, his law school and our young professional lives, we doubled up on birth control: I was always on the pill and he used condoms. We were that cautious. Finally, almost three years into marriage, we felt ready to try for a baby. In February 2014, I went off the pill expecting to get pregnant in about a minute. I'm a healthy, active 29-year-old who eats organic and tries to lead a stress-free life. My period is more regular than any high-speed rail and everyone has always told me how easy it would be to conceive. "You'll be preggers within a month!" friends and family had all shouted with glee well before I was trying. I've even had psychics tell me how fertile I am. The first month without a period I was elated because I figured we’d been lucky enough to get pregnant with our first try. But multiple pregnancy tests revealed otherwise. Then March, April and May went by and I wasn’t anywhere closer to being pregnant. I still hadn't resumed a post-pill period. For the first few months I told myself to be patient and not obsess over whatever was (or wasn't) going on with my body. Stressing out is the surest way not to get pregnant, right? But instead of rubbing my pressure points with calming essential oils and practicing some downward dog, I found myself falling down the wormhole of infertility message boards. By June I was frantically searching for alternative therapies. I had seen my OB-GYN and she assured me that I was healthy and should just be patient. When I told her that I’d been reading about acupuncture and the positive effect it could have on fertility, she gave me the green light to try it. I had heard that acupuncture could help women resume ovulation and preferred to do things as naturally as possible. So rather than step on the gas to a fertility clinic (which was tempting), I decided to give acupuncture a shot. My doc agreed that Traditional Chinese medicine was a good option since I wasn’t in a huge rush to get pregnant. (If I had been, she recommended I take an ovulation-enhancing drug like Clomid.)
