  87. Homework 1 is ready. This homework asks you to think about
  88. tactics for programming in Haskell and translations from
  89. Haskell to Java, C, or C++ in the two parts due on
  90. Oct. 22. The second part is due near the end of the semester
  91. and is about Erlang. Both are to get you thinking during the
  92. semester and to help you relate the new languages to ones you
  93. have already learned. Keep them in mind during the semester,
  94. but don't rush into turning them in.

  124.        A set of "meeting outlines" will be available for each unit,
  125. before lectures start for that unit.  These are designed for
  126. taking notes as they contain an outline and much of what I'll
  127. show you in class, but without all the really important bits.
  128. This may be helpful if you don't want to be distracted by
  129. copying things down, or if it helps you to focus on the
  130. important parts.  However, I always update them as I prepare
  131. for lecture, and so don't print them out until the last
  132. minute.  They are linked from the syllabus also, so if you
  133. want to get the meeting outlines for where we are in the
  134. syllabus, just click on the topic name in the syllabus.
