The suits alleged that Scott, who was the headliner, the concert promoter Live Nation and other defendants had contributed to the deaths through negligent planning and a lack of safety measures.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0">A lawsuit filed by the family of 23-year-old Madison Dubiski was set to go to trial this week. But a lawyer for Live Nation said in a civil district court in Harris County that the case had been settled along with eight others, according to The Associated Press.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0">In its lawsuit, Ms. Dubiski’s family alleged that the defendants had caused her death by their failure to adequately plan, staff and supervise the concert. “While in attendance at the festival, Madison was trampled and crushed resulting in horrific injuries, pre-death pain and suffering, and her death,” the suit said.</p></div><aside class="css-ew4tgv" aria-label="companion column"/></div><div><div class="css-53u6y8"><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0">The terms of the settlements were confidential.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0">The remaining pending lawsuit was filed by the family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest person killed. Lawyers for his family did not respond to requests for comment.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0">Last year, a grand jury declined to indict Scott and five others connected to the festival. We are rooting for these girls to be survivors and final girls,” creator <strong>Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa</strong> exclusively told<em> Us Weekly</em> about how the writers’ room views Imogen (<strong>Bailee Madison</strong>), Tabby (<strong>Chandler Kinney</strong>), Faran (<strong>Zaria</strong>), Mouse (<strong>Malia Pyles</strong>) and Noa (<strong>Maia Reficco</strong>).</p><p>According to Aguirre-Sacasa, it is actually set in stone that the core five will always survive, adding, “There’s sort of an unwritten rule about them. Fans, however, should expect some changes as the show gets even more gritty, spooky and fun. After originally going by <em>Pretty Little Liars: OG Sin</em>, season 2 rebranded to reflect the new story line with <em>Pretty Little Liars: Summer School</em>.</p><p>“That was the biggest conversation we had after season 1. Were we going to keep the theme of the Original Sin? One of the reasons we decided to try a different theme and a different subtitle is because we felt like would we ever beat the original sin from season 1?” Aguirre-Sacasa explained to <em>Us</em>. “We thought, ‘Would it ever be as personal and as primal as [the girls being punished for their mothers’ crimes]?’ So maybe it’s OK to move off of that idea.”</p><p>Bring noted how important it was to build upon what<em> OG Sin</em> initially set up.</p><p>“We did not want to forget any of the themes or the traumas from season 1. Rather than skip over them, we wanted our characters to work through them this season,” she detailed. “What’s more fun than summer — especially if you’re young. And the idea that the one thing these characters are looking forward to is their summer break and then it’s taken away from them and they’re stuck and they’re trapped.”</p><p>The new theme presented a way for the main friend group to keep addressing their issues.</p><figure class="wp-caption "></figure><p>“We thought that was so great thematically to show where these girls are now as they’re trapped. They’re not moving forward from the events of their past and the events of season 1,” Bring told <em>Us</em>. “So this season was all about moving them forward, giving them tools to do so and letting them have fun. One of the things people really responded to was the slasher vibes and the slasher villain. So that gave us the permission to really lean into that in season 2,” Aguirre-Sacasa said. “Whatever discussions we would have with our network and our studio executives — who’ve been really supportive — was, ‘Oh, is this leaning too much or do we need this?’ Those conversations were gone and we were really encouraged to lean into that. Bloody Rose is an even more terrifying and profound figure of horror.”</p><p>Bring, meanwhile, pointed out that setting the season in the summer gave them a specific timetable, adding, “The trick for us is keeping the horror alive, making things scary and giving life or death stakes. But [it is also] knowing that our seasons go over the course of months at a time. He might be like, “I’m the best rapper,” but “I’ve been collecting dirt on you for weeks and weeks and weeks, potentially months, potentially years, in order to absolutely ether you in your own house”? That’s different. No one expected that of Kendrick. So he gets a tremendous amount of credit for the chasm between what people thought he would do and what he actually did.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0"><strong class="css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10">COSCARELLI </strong>Whereas Drake basically lived up to exactly what you expected.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0"><strong class="css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10">CARAMANICA </strong>Drake did Drake. And if anything, Kendrick also did Drake.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0"><strong class="css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10">COSCARELLI</strong> He went back-to-back after “Euphoria,” releasing “6:16 in LA” before Drake could respond. He also made hits, which we’ll get to.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0"><strong class="css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10">CARAMANICA</strong> I will say, this beef was fun until it wasn’t fun. One of two things is true about Drake’s “Family Matters”: Either what he’s saying is accurate, and he’s just done irreparable damage to a man’s reputation and his family, or Drake is lying and talking about abuse in such a casual way so as to minimize the actual conversation around abuse.</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0">This beef started with “I’m the best rapper.” It’s Kendrick saying, “It’s not the Big Three, it’s just big me.” And with his responses, Kendrick is saying, essentially: “I’m the best rapper, and I’m using those skills not to say that you’re the worst rapper, but that you’re the worst person. Not only can I beat you with bars, but I can use those bars to beat you with condescension, disgust and distaste.”</p><p class="css-at9mc1 evys1bk0"><strong class="css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10">COSCARELLI </strong>Despite my complaints about Kendrick’s “Meet the Grahams” as a song — the theatricality of the creative writing exercise, the condescension and the faux-enlightenment — that’s totally trumped by it as a strategic move. This song, released less than 30 minutes after Drake’s “Family Matters” on Friday, is why Kendrick Lamar won. Valli and Mandel later welcomed two more children together before they divorced in 1971.</p><p class="p1">Valli went on to marry <strong>Mary Ann Hannigan</strong>. After eight years together, the pair separated, and Valli moved on with <strong>Randy Clohessy</strong>. The twosome welcomed three sons before they ultimately split in 2004.</p><p class="p1">The <i>Grease </i>singer has also weathered his fair share of tragedy. Celia died in 1980 after falling off a fire escape. Months later, Valli’s daughter Francine died of a drug overdose.</p><p class="p1">“To be very honest with you, sometimes I don’t know. It was a very tough period for me. You would think that as time went by it would get easier,” Valli told <i>The Telegraph </i>in a 2018 profile. “But it doesn’t. You should never lose a child.”</p><p class="p1">Nearly six years later, Valli was granted a protective order against his son Francesco. According to court documents obtained by <i>People </i>in May 2024, Valli’s son Emilio filed documents on behalf of himself and the musician, requesting that Francesco cease any contact with the family. My father had been raving about him as a drummer — the best he had ever heard, he said — but when he saw how I felt about Gerry, my father said I wasn’t going to marry any musician.”</p><p class="p1">Toni and Polci welcomed children Olivia and Dario ahead of their eventual divorce. You don’t go to school to be a reality star. Two years later, he served as an executive producer for Real Housewives of Orange County, which premiered in […] </p></div><p>“I think the way that Bravo pays people is that it’s a buyout — they’re buying them out for a show that can be distributed in certain ways, and the longer you stay on, the higher your salary gets. And salaries for people who have been on a long time are really high. Look, you’re not drafted into the <em>Real Housewives</em>. You either want to be on the show or not, and you either see it as having some greater benefit for you or not.”</p> <p>While he didn’t slam Frankel — or anyone for that matter — in <em>THR</em> profile Cohen did get candid. Where He Stands With Disgraced Housewives</h3><p>Cohen called himself “a nostalgic person” who is “proud” of the close relationships he’s made over the years on Bravo. While not naming anyone specifically, Cohen said it’s “hurtful” when he becomes targets for the former stars.</p><p>“I think most people involved with these shows have been very grateful for the platform, but there will always be a few with complaints,” Cohen said. “But I have no regrets about the way I’ve handled anything. I think everything that happens in your life informs the next thing that happens in your life. That’s the way I look at all this. I know what the truth is, and I know how I’ve conducted myself, and I walk tall every day on that.”</p><h3>2. Subtle Response to the Various Allegations</h3><p>Former <em>Real Housewives of New Jersey</em> star Caroline Manzo sued Bravo in January over an alleged incident with <em>Real Housewives of Beverly Hills</em> alum <strong>Brandi Glanville</strong> while they were filming <em>Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip</em> season 4. Glanville also accused Cohen of sexual harassment in February, which he’s since denied.</p><p>Former <em>RHONY</em> star McSweeney, for her part, sued Cohen and Bravo in February, claiming that they exploited her struggles with alcoholism. During his THR profile, Cohen reacted to the various allegations with one short and sweet sentence.</p><p>“Unfortunately, I can’t talk about some of these things,” he said, seemingly referring to them being ongoing legal matters.</p><h3>3. Sobriety and Bravo</h3><p>One thing Cohen did speak about, however, is the relationship between Bravo and alcohol. While he didn’t name McSweeney, these comments appeared to be directed toward her claims.</p><p>“What I’ll say about the alcohol is that we have so many sober people and people who have gotten sober on the show, like Countess <strong>Luann [de Lesseps]</strong>. We have people who’ve never had a drink during the entire run of the show,” he said. “<strong>Jill Zarin</strong>. <strong>Kandi Burris</strong>. <strong>Heather Dubrow</strong> will just have an occasional glass of champagne.”</p><p>Cohen noted that Bravo doesn’t “force anyone to do anything.” He added, “No one is secretly hiding liquor bottles on set. That’s ridiculous. As fans got to know hundreds […] </p></div><p>The producer also made it clear that with some of the colorful characters in the <em>Real Housewives</em> franchise they don’t need liquor “to gin up drama” among the women.</p><p>“Have you seen <strong>Ramona Singer</strong> on a random Tuesday at 1 p.m.? Have you ever run into <strong>Lisa Rinna</strong> at noon? Lisa Rinna does not need a glass of rosé in order to tell you exactly how she is feeling,” Cohen joked. “<strong>Margaret Josephs</strong> only drinks Diet Coke, and she is a truth cannon wherever she goes. I don’t think <strong>Teresa Giudice</strong> would say that it was the red wine that caused her to flip that table! We start filming the reunions at 6 a.m. for God’s sake!”</p><h4>4. Why There’s No BravoCon in 2024</h4> <p>The official BravoCon announcement was made last month — but the three-day convention is skipping this year’s event and going back to Las Vegas for 2025. When asked why, Cohen admitted the convention is “a massive undertaking” overall, noting the 160 Bravo stars, 30,00 people in attendance and five live <em>WWHL</em> episodes.</p><p>“It was just a tremendous amount of effort. And when it ended, I remember saying to [NBCU chairman] <strong>Frances Berwick</strong>, maybe we should skip next year or do it in a year and a half. It will be more special that way,” he recalled. “Also, the space we wanted was only available nine months after we had already done it. And that seemed way too soon. But ultimately it was a Bravo decision, not mine.”</p><p>While the decision was recently announced, Bravo made the call “eight months ago,” per Cohen. “People tied it into what’s been happening. Her most recent attempt was on an episode of her “Misspelling” podcast last month. At the time Spelling wondered if she wasn’t on the show “because I’m broke.”</p><p>Cohen, for his part, told <em>THR</em> it’s nothing personal against Spelling.</p><p>“Tori Spelling has made a lot of noise about wanting to be on the show. She’d definitely bring great drama, but we’ve never really had a serious conversation about her for some reason,” he said. “I actually have mixed feelings about having stars on the show. When Lisa Rinna was trying out for season one of Beverly Hills, I was very much against the idea. Like, she’s already a celebrity!
