  76. <p>The Biden administration helped guide roughly $1.3 million to the Taliban through a weapons removal program since September 2021, according to an April 30 inspector general report.</p>
  77. <p>Taliban entities received funds from partners working with the State Department&#8217;s Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement in Afghanistan, including $138,000 in this quarter, <a href="https://www.sigar.mil/pdf/quarterlyreports/2024-04-30qr.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">according</a> to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction&#8217;s (SIGAR) recent report. SIGAR&#8217;s report documents how the head of the Taliban has defended Sharia law, including &#8220;publicly flogging and stoning women for committing adultery,&#8221; as well as how other terrorist groups, like ISIS-K, are proliferating in the region.</p>

  79. <p>SIGAR&#8217;s report notes that the Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement had an additional $5 million in funding available for disbursement as of March.</p>
  80. <p>John Sopko, the head of SIGAR, <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2023/04/19/john-sopko-afghanistan-taliban-tax-dollars-aid/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">warned</a> Congress during an April 2023 testimony that some of the billions in aid the United States government is sending to Afghanistan could be falling into the hands of the Taliban. During the same testimony, Sopko <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2023/04/19/biden-admin-afghanistan-withdrawal-ig/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">criticized</a> the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development for allegedly refusing to provide SIGAR with information on their operations in Afghanistan, inhibiting the watchdog&#8217;s ability to perform its duties.</p>
  81. <p>The United States has allocated over $8 billion to Afghanistan since it withdrew from the country in August 2021, according to Sopko.</p>
  82. <p>While the SIGAR report says that the Taliban has made moves to target hostile terrorist organizations like ISIS-K, it has &#8220;remain[ed] tolerant of some terror groups, such as al Qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.&#8221;</p>
  83. <p>Congress <a href="https://www.sigar.mil/about/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">established</a> SIGAR in 2008 to monitor the billions in tax dollars flowing into Afghanistan during the war against the Taliban and has since evolved to track America&#8217;s post-withdrawal spending in the country.</p>

Wang founded and currently <a href="http://en.ccg.org.cn/archives/58086" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">leads</a> the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), a think tank with ties to Chinese influence operations, according to <a href="https://www.aspi.org.au/report/party-speaks-you" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">multiple intelligence experts</a> and the <a href="https://www.uscc.gov/sites/default/files/Research/China%27s%20Overseas%20United%20Front%20Work%20-%20Background%20and%20Implications%20for%20US_final_0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission</a> (USCC).</p>

  116. <p>Wang was described as an <a href="https://www.aspi.org.au/report/party-speaks-you" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">adviser</a> to China&#8217;s United Front Work Department (UFWD) by Alex Joske of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute in 2018. The UFWD is a “<a href="https://www.uscc.gov/sites/default/files/annual_reports/2016%20Annual%20Report%20to%20Congress.pdf">Chinese intelligence service</a>” that undertakes “<a href="https://www.uscc.gov/sites/default/files/Research/China%27s%20Overseas%20United%20Front%20Work%20-%20Background%20and%20Implications%20for%20US_final_0.pdf">influence operations</a>,” according to the USCC. The <a href="https://2017-2021.state.gov/chinas-coercive-tactics-abroad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">State Department</a>, alongside foreign policy <a href="https://www.cfr.org/blog/beijings-influence-tactics-chinese-diaspora-excerpt" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">experts</a>, have identified the UFWD as the Chinese Communist Party&#8217;s primary instrument for exerting influence in places outside of China.</p>
  117. <p>Wang has also led several UFWD affiliates, such as the China Overseas Friendship Association and the Western Returned Scholars Association, according to the USCC. The Western Returned Scholars Association is <a href="https://www.aspi.org.au/report/party-speaks-you" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">involved</a> in the Chinese Communist Party&#8217;s efforts to recruit foreign scientists through its Thousand Talents Plan.</p>
  118. <p>At the Semafor conference, in a segment called “Rising Global Middle Class,” Wang praised the impact of China&#8217;s Belt and Road initiative in constructing infrastructure in the &#8220;Global South,&#8221; touting its investment of &#8220;$1 trillion&#8221; and work in &#8220;3,000 projects across the Global South.&#8221;</p>
  119. <p>China&#8217;s Belt and Road initiative funds infrastructure projects in foreign countries that could aid the flow of Chinese commerce, but the program has faced criticism for potentially saddling nations receiving infrastructure funds with significant debt that China can leverage for political concessions, <a href="https://www.cfr.org/backgrounder/chinas-massive-belt-and-road-initiative" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">according</a> to the Council on Foreign Relations</p>
  120. <p>Some have <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2023/03/28/china-debt-communist-party-belt-road-loans/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">described</a> the arrangement as a &#8220;debt trap,&#8221; citing the relatively high interest rates charged on Chinese loans.</p>
  121. <p>Wang pushed back against criticism of the initiative at Semafor&#8217;s conference, arguing that &#8220;China&#8217;s debt in African countries is probably much lower than people expected&#8221; and that, in the case of Sri Lanka, Chinese debt &#8220;is not really an issue according to the local government.&#8221;</p>
  122. <p>&#8220;China is not the real problem,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;China has created a lot of benefits for those developing countries.&#8221;</p>
  123. <p>Semafor previously <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2023/03/01/semafor-ccg-ccp-united-front/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">partnered</a> with CCG for its “China and Global Business” project that aims to promote economic discussions between Chinese and U.S. leaders. Justin Smith, founder and CEO of Semafor, is also a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations.</p>
  124. <p>The “China and Global Business” China Advisory Board also includes individuals linked to the CCP and UFWD.</p>
  125. <p>For example, <a href="http://en.cppcc.gov.cn/2018-03/15/c_469964.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Gao Yunlong</a>, who was elected vice-chairperson of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a body linked to the CCP and UFWD, was on Semafor&#8217;s <a href="https://www.semafor.com/article/03/01/2023/semafor-launches-china-and-global-business-platform" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">China and global advisory board</a>.</p>

  156. <p>Oklahoma’s Republican governor signed a sweeping immigration enforcement bill into law, making the Sooner State the latest to confront the border crisis through legislative action.</p>
  157. <p>Gov. Kevin Stitt signed <a href="http://www.oklegislature.gov/BillInfo.aspx?Bill=HB4156&amp;Session=2400" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">House Bill 4156</a> into law on Tuesday, one week after the Republican-controlled legislature sent it to his desk. The law, which is set to take effect on July 1, makes it illegal to reside in Oklahoma without legal authorization to be in the U.S.</p>
  158. <p>Those in violation of the law for the first time will be subject to a misdemeanor charge, punishable by up to a year in jail or a $500 fine, according to the <a href="http://webserver1.lsb.state.ok.us/cf_pdf/2023-24%20ENR/hB/HB4156%20ENR.PDF" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">text of the legislation</a>. A second or subsequent offense would be a felony, punishable by as much as two years in jail or a fine of up to $1,000.</p>
  159. <p>All violators would be mandated to leave Oklahoma within 72 hours of being released from custody.</p>

  161. <p>Stitt made clear why he felt the law was necessary, putting the blame squarely on President Joe Biden.</p>
  162. <p>“We cannot sit idle as threats to our safety are on the rise due to the Biden administration’s complete failure to offer even minimal protections. We have an obligation to keep our communities safe,” the governor said in <a href="https://oklahoma.gov/content/dam/ok/en/governor/documents/20240430172204997.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">a press release</a>. “And this bill will decentivize thugs from choosing Oklahoma as a place to operate criminal enterprises after having illegally come to our country through the southern border.”</p>
  163. <p>The governor’s public statement also pushed back against accusations that the law would unfairly target the state’s Hispanic community, saying that Oklahoma is not a “stop and identify” state.</p>
  164. <p>Stitt’s signature marks the latest in a growing wave of Republican states that are taking on immigration enforcement, a responsibility typically exclusive to the federal government.</p>
  165. <p>Oklahoma lawmakers largely followed legislation signed into law last year by Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott, which would’ve allowed the state to arrest and deport those living in the country unlawfully. However, that Texas law is currently on hold after Biden’s Department of Justice <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/01/03/doj-sues-texas-arresting-migrants-illegally-border-biden/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">filed a lawsuit</a>, arguing such responsibility is reserved for federal immigration authorities only.</p>
  166. <p>Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in March <a href="https://www.flgov.com/2024/03/15/governor-desantis-takes-further-action-to-address-illegal-immigration-and-criminal-activity-in-florida/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">signed a bill</a> that increases jail sentences for those living illegally in the U.S. and convicted of felonies or driving without a license. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds <a href="https://governor.iowa.gov/press-release/2024-04-10/gov-reynolds-signs-several-bills-law" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">signed a bill</a> in April that largely reflects the Texas law.</p>

  168. <p>Beyond passing legislation, a slate of GOP-led states have deployed their national guard troops to the southern border in solidarity with Texas.</p>
  169. <p>Since 2021, <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/04/30/kansas-overrides-governor-veto-migrant/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">at least 14 states</a> have deployed troops to the southern border: Florida, Arkansas, Iowa, Idaho, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio, South Dakota, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Wyoming, and West Virginia. The deployment is largely assisting Texas’ Operation Lone Star, a campaign launched by Abbott to address the border crisis.</p>

  234. <p>Fseisi also charged the agencies used FISA to spy on Trump.</p>

  237. <p>According to the report, "The footage supports earlier reports by investigative journalists that the American intelligence community ran an illegal spy operation against Trump’s 2016 campaign, which led to the FBI’s 'Crossfire Hurricane' probe and Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion."</p>
  238. <p>That ended because investigators found no evidence to support the wild claims orchestrated by Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, that Trump's campaign was colluding with Russia. In fact, some of the sources of allegations against Trump were, in fact, Russian.</p>
  239. <p>The report said, "Fseisi could face legal consequences for violating internal agency provisions and federal laws if his statements are proven true," but he later denied making the statements.</p>

  281. <p>Those "pro-Palestinian" riots that have been happening mostly on university campuses across the nation, actually violent and destructive riots that advocate for the destruction of Israel, have erupted in the aftermath of the attack by the terrorists of Hamas on innocent Israeli civilians last Oct. 7. They butchered, often in horrific fashion, some 1,200 Israelis.</p>

  284. <p>Sharpe, in his <a href="https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/389171">column,</a> pointed out that even Mahmoud Abbas, the "Holocaust denying head of Terror, Inc, aka the Palestinian Authority, the same brute who glories in his ‘Pay to Slay’ abomination in which he rewards Palestinian Arab thugs for murdering Jews, once upped his erstwhile mentor and arch terrorist, Yasser Arafat, by spewing another Arabian Nights hallucinatory diatribe while at the United Nations Security Council."</p>
  285. <p>It went, Abbas claimed, "We are the descendants of the Canaanites that lived in the land of Palestine 5,000 years ago and continuously remained there to this day." But then, Arafat had claimed the "Palestinians" were descended from the Philistines.</p>
  286. <p>Goofy, suggested Sharpe, as "the followers of the ‘religion of peace’ will tell you that even Adam was a Muslim."</p>
  287. <p>One of the experts cited by Sharpe, on the issue of "Palestine," is Joseph Farah, the CEO of WND.com, which he founded more than 25 years ago.</p>
  288. <p>"Let me close, beginning with the words of a Christian Arab, Joseph Farah, in <a href="https://www.wnd.com/2011/05/305017/">'Myths of the Middle East,'"</a> Sharpe wrote. "Mr. Farah has made his home here in America and knows of what he writes:"</p>
  289. <blockquote><p>There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. 'Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 per cent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of one per cent of the landmass. But that’s too much for the Muslim Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the Muslim Arab Hamas terrorism in Israel is about today….No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make from their tiny homeland, it will never be enough.'"</p></blockquote>
  290. <p>The truth, Sharpe noted, is that "The present-day so-called ‘Palestinians’ are Arab people sharing an overwhelmingly Muslim Arab culture, ethnicity and language identical to their fellow Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, with few if any distinctions. They are primarily the descendants of those itinerant Arabs who illegally flooded British Mandatory Palestine from stagnant Arab territories as far away as Sudan, Egypt, Syria and what was Mesopotamia (modern Iraq). They were attracted during the late 19th and early 20th century by new employment opportunities created by the Jewish pioneers whose heroic efforts were turning the land green again and restoring centuries of neglect which the ancestral Jewish homeland had endured under a succession of alien occupations."</p>
  291. <p>He noted "Canaanites" were subdued and "no longer existed as a distinguishable people," and the "Philistines," defeated by King David, eventually were found "disappearing from history."</p>
  292. <p>He explained, "No such name as Palestine occurs in any ancient document.   332. <p>U.S. special operations troops stationed at a French military base in Chad have relocated to Germany after the government in N’Djamena threatened to boot all American forces from the country, a defense official said Wednesday.</p>
  333. <p>In April, Chadian officials alerted the U.S. defense attaché at the embassy of potential plans to cancel the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), which allows U.S. troops to operate in the country, and demanded the U.S. pull out, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/01/politics/us-withdraws-troops-chad/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a>. As of Tuesday, more than half of the troops assigned to a Special Operations Task Force working out of the French base in N’Djamena had completed a provisional withdrawal while the U.S. works to reinforce the arrangement.</p>
  334. <p>“We can confirm the safe and orderly relocation of approximately 60 U.S. forces from Chad to Germany where they will continue their work,” a defense official told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “This temporary step is part of an ongoing review of our security cooperation, which will resume after the May 6 Presidential election.”</p>

  336. <p>Fewer than 100 U.S. troops, most assigned to the task force that serves as a center for U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) operations in the region, had been operating from the French base, CNN reported. The Special Operations Task Force was based in Germany before relocating to Chad in 2021.</p>
  337. <p>Some U.S. troops will continue to work out of the embassy in N’Djamena, along with a standard Marine force tasked with protecting the embassy, CNN reported.</p>
  338. <p>Chad’s dissatisfaction with the U.S. presence stems largely from an issue with paperwork that will be resolved after the upcoming elections, CNN reported, citing a defense official and another source familiar.</p>
  339. <p>In addition to the partial withdrawal from Chad, the Pentagon is working on a complete withdrawal of some 1,000 troops from neighboring Niger after the country terminated a security agreement. Pentagon officials are still negotiating with the government over the withdrawal, with most of the wrinkles to be addressed involving logistical concerns such as security clearances for military flights, an official said, according to CNN.</p>
  340. <p>The U.S. <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/03/22/us-quietly-trying-to-keep-troops-niger/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">fought</a> to negotiate a continued presence in Niger, where it operated a $110 million air base used to control drone operations against Islamist militant groups in the region, even after the newly-installed junta <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2023/08/10/pentagon-distances-coup-leaders-niger/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced</a> plans to end military cooperation with the U.S. The U.S. <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/04/19/us-remove-military-personnel-niger/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">agreed</a> in April to withdraw all troops.</p>

  371. <p>A new report from <a href="https://www.theepochtimes.com/article/exclusive-cdc-found-evidence-covid-19-vaccines-caused-deaths-5632265?utm_source=partner&amp;utm_campaign=TheLibertyDaily">the Epoch Times</a> reveals its investigation shows that the CDC knew of the links between the COVID shots and death – and lied about them.</p>
  372. <p>The report explains officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention "found evidence that the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines caused multiple deaths before claiming that there was no evidence linking the vaccines to any deaths."</p>
  373. <p>It was CDC employees who tracked down reports of deaths post-vaccination "and learned that myocarditis—or heart inflammation, a confirmed side effect of the vaccines—was listed on death certificates and in autopsies for some of the deaths."</p>

  375. <p>That is confirmed, the report said, in an internal file the publication obtained.</p>
  376. <p>The Times explained "Myocarditis was also described as being caused by vaccination in a subset of the deaths. In other cases, the CDC workers found that deaths met the agency’s definition for myocarditis, that the patients started showing symptoms within 42 days of a vaccine dose, and that the deceased displayed no virus-related symptoms. Officials say that after 42 days, a possible link between the vaccine and symptoms becomes tenuous, and they list post-vaccination deaths as unrelated if they can find any possible alternative causes."</p>
  377. <p>But the report noted Dr. Clare Craig, a British pathologist, said in cases with the three features, it is absolutely safe to say the vaccines caused death.</p>
  378. <p>However, while the findings were determined by the end of 2021, the CDC in subsequent claims alleged it saw no signs linking the RNA and mRNA shots to deaths "reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System."</p>
  379. <p>Further, the CDC claimed in a letter to the Times in 2023 there were "no deaths reported to the VAERS for which the agency determined 'the available evidence' indicated Moderna or Pfizer vaccination 'caused or contributed to the deaths.'"</p>
  380. <p>The Times reported Dr. Andrew Bostom, accused the CDC of "concealing" deaths.</p>
  381. <p>"That’s a scandal, where you have information like this and you continue to put out this dishonest line that there’s only seven deaths and they’re all unrelated to the mRNA vaccines."</p>

  383. <p>The CDC had confirmed seven deaths from thrombosis suggested a link to the Johnson &amp; Johnson shots.</p>
  384. <p>A CDC spokesman responded to the evidence with a comment that a cause of death is done "by the certifying official, physician, medical examiner, or coroner," but declined to explain why the CDC doesn't consider autopsies or death certificates as evidence of the cause of death.</p>
  385. <p>Or what evidence is used to establish vaccine-caused deaths.</p>
  386. <p>The report pointed out what has been stunning to some: in the U.S., people who die with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases are counted as COVID-19 deaths, including those who died from unrelated causes, and when the deaths happened years after the infection.</p>
  387. <p>Craig charged, "They are taking the exact opposite approach to COVID deaths! Every death after a test was a COVID death. No death after a vaccine is a vaccine death!"</p>
  388. <p>The Times said it obtained the inside-the-CDC details from a file obtained under the Freedom of Information Act. It outlines "the agency’s investigation into reports submitted to VAERS of suspected cases of myocarditis or a related condition, pericarditis, following COVID-19 vaccination."</p>
  389. <p>The CDC reported it sent employees after original medical records, death certificates and more, eventually looking at 3,780 reports. Among those situations, 101 people died.</p>
  390. <p>"In one instance, a 37-year-old man started suffering symptoms that can be caused by myocarditis, such as shortness of breath, shortly after receiving a Moderna COVID-19 shot. The man collapsed three days after vaccination and was soon pronounced dead," the report cited.</p>
  391. <p>The CDC's report said one cause of death was "acute myocarditis" but said "other findings" mean it cannot be said only the vaccine caused the death.</p>
  392. <p>Multiple other documents cited COVID-19 shots and their "complications."</p>
  393. <p>The report said Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson &amp; Johnson did not return requests for comment.</p>
  394. <p>The report notes that in some cases, the CDC intervened to overrule a cause of death determination, with instructions including a review of the CDC's Infectious Diseases Pathology Branch which said, "Per IDPB evaluation, not myocarditis."</p>
  395. <p>The agency also insisted that two teens who were victims died because of "parvovirus" and "sepsis," not the shots.</p>
  396. <p>Ray Flores, a lawyer representing one victim's family in a lawsuit over a death, charged that CDC's dissembling resulted from it being "the leader[] of the disinformation campaign to convince the American public … that experimental vaccines were safe and effective even before they were licensed."</p>
  397. <p>"Now everyone knows they’ve unequivocally been shown to kill," he told the Times.</p>
  398. <p>More than 676 million shots have been delivered so far, and while the Johnson &amp; Johnson was pulled from the market, the CDC maintains Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax products are "safe and effective."</p>

  427. <p>(JNS) -- U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Israeli leaders on Wednesday as part of his Middle East tour to Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, his seventh trip to the Jewish state since the current Hamas war broke out on Oct. 7.</p>
  428. <p>Blinken met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, where they “discussed ongoing efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire in Gaza as part of a hostage deal and emphasized that it is Hamas that is standing in the way of a ceasefire,” according to an official statement from the U.S. State Department.</p>
  429. <p>“Secretary Blinken reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to Israel’s security,” the statement continued. “He also discussed the need to avoid further expansion of the conflict and updated the prime minister on ongoing efforts to ensure a lasting, sustainable peace in the region.”</p>
