  50. <p>Martin Gruenberg, the chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), announced Monday he would resign following an external probe into workplace harassment and misconduct.</p>
  51. <p>Gruenberg tendered his resignation Monday after the release of the report, <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/05/20/business/fdic-chair-martin-gruenberg-to-resign-after-sex-harassment-scandal-at-agency/">according</a> to the New York Post. The <a href="https://www.fdic.gov/sites/default/files/2024-05/cleary-report-to-fdic-src.pdf">report</a> from Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen &amp; Hamilton, LLP cited an alleged rape reported in 2017 at an Arlington, Virginia, hotel owned by the agency, among other allegations of harassment and misconduct from at least 500 people.</p>
  52. <p>“In light of recent events, I am prepared to step down from my responsibilities once a successor is confirmed,” Gruenberg said in a Monday statement, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/20/economy/fdic-chair-gruenberg-resigns/index.html">according</a> to CNN. “Until that time, I will continue to fulfill my responsibilities as Chairman of the FDIC, including the transformation of the FDIC’s workplace culture.”</p>

  61. <p>The alleged rape was <a href="https://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Screenshot-2024-03-06-5.00.21-PM-2.png">reported</a> to Arlington County Police Department on February 17, 2017, according to a March Daily Caller News Foundation <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/03/07/exclusive-police-responded-rape-report-fdic-hotel-known-booze-fueled-parties/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">exclusive</a>, which was cited on page 111 of the report.</p>

  63. <p>“FDIC employees at all levels care deeply about and take great pride in its mission of maintaining stability and public confidence in our nation’s financial system,” the report said. “They deserve and demand a workplace free of sexual harassment, discrimination, and interpersonal misconduct. But for too many, they do not have it. Over 500 individuals bravely reported into our hotline, often painfully and emotionally recounting experiences of sexual harassment, discrimination, and other interpersonal misconduct that they have suffered at the FDIC.”</p>
  64. <p>The report detailed numerous incidents of sexual harassment of employees, as well as stalking, homophobic statements, claims that members of “underrepresented groups” were told they were “token” hires and the mocking of an employee with a disability. The report also stated that a “fear of retaliation” prevalent in the agency meant that additional incidents may not have been reported.</p>
  65. <p>Gruenberg received criticism in the report for some of his interactions with employees at the agency.</p>
  66. <p>“A number of FDIC employees, including senior executives, recognized the reputation and also reported instances of Chairman Gruenberg losing his temper and interacting with staff in a demeaning and inappropriate manner,” the report said.</p>

  123. <p>(JNS) -- Close to three-fourths of the humanitarian aid transported from a new $320 million floating pier built by the U.S. military off the Gaza coast was stolen on Saturday en route to a U.N. warehouse, Reuters reported on Tuesday.</p>
  124. <p>Eleven trucks “were cleaned out by Palestinians” on the journey to the World Food Programme warehouse in Deir El Balah in the central Strip, with only five truckloads making it to the destination.</p>
  125. <p>“They’ve not seen trucks for a while,” a U.N. official told Reuters. “They just basically mounted on the trucks and helped themselves to some of the food parcels.”</p>

  150. <p>(JNS) -- Israel will not engage in a full-scale military offensive in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah. Instead, it will continue its limited operation in the last Hamas bastion, with the blessing of the Biden administration, according to Washington Post analyst David Ignatius.</p>
  151. <p>In an opinion piece published on Monday citing sources familiar with the matter, the newspaper’s senior commentator wrote that the framework for eventually ending the Gaza war became more clear after a just-wrapped trip to Saudi Arabia and Israel by U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Brett McGurk, the U.S. National Security Council’s coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa.</p>
  152. <p>“Israeli leaders have reached a consensus about a final assault on Hamas’s four remaining battalions in Rafah. Instead of the heavy attack with two divisions that Israel contemplated several weeks ago, government and military leaders foresee a more limited assault that U.S. officials think will result in fewer civilian casualties and, for that reason, Biden won’t oppose,” said Ignatius.</p>

  181. <p>A recent poll found that voters say they would be more likely to support former President Donald Trump if Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott is on the ticket in 2024.</p>
  182. <p>Scott leads the field of possible vice presidential contenders, including former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York and former independent Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, according to a recent <a href="https://harvardharrispoll.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/HHP_May2024_KeyResults.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Harvard-Harris Poll</a>. Scott drew 25% among voters who said they were more likely to vote for Trump if he was on the ballot, followed by 23% for Ramaswamy and 22% for Rubio.</p>

Microplastics are tiny plastic fragments, less than five millimeters in size, often from the breakdown of larger plastic waste. While the future may hold many technological wonders, there’s still one critical question to answer: what will the overall health of the human population look like? Luckily, a new study has some good news, finding that the average person will also be living longer in the future.</p>
  251. <p>A comprehensive study published in The Lancet used cutting-edge modeling techniques to forecast disease burden, life expectancy, and population shifts for over 200 countries through 2050. It’s a crystal ball gaze at humanity’s health on a global scale.</p>
  252. <p>So what did they find? Let’s start with the good news. Researchers from the Global Burden of Disease Study, an international consortium of experts, projects that average life expectancy will continue to climb in the coming decades, albeit at a slower pace than we’ve seen in the past. Babies born in 2050 can expect to live to around 80 on average if current trends continue. That’s up from a global average life expectancy of about 74 today. The greatest gains are expected in regions currently facing the highest rates of premature death and disability, places like sub-Saharan Africa.</p>

  276. <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It's been two months since I published my WND column titled <a href="https://www.wnd.com/2024/03/joey-scapegoat-will-soon-exit-stage-left/">"'Joey the Scapegoat' will soon exit stage left,"</a> in which I reiterated my predictions – going all the way back to the Democratic Convention of 2020 – that Joe Biden would eventually take the fall for the entire constellation of Dem debacles that were made inevitable by the astonishing overreach of their criminal conspiracy to deny Donald Trump the second term he rightfully earned.</p>
  277. <p>I argued that the most likely scenario for removing Biden with the least amount of legal and political fallout would be to stage a "stroke" or similar medical emergency that would both maximize public sympathy for him and eliminate the threat of criminal prosecution under the defense of "diminished capacity." In other words, he couldn't legally be prosecuted because he wouldn't be mentally capable of aiding in his own defense. Joey the Scapegoat would thus carry all the sins of the co-conspirators with him over the cliff of Azazel – into the waiting memory-hole already prepared for them by Big Media (or so they hope).</p>
  278. <p>Over the intervening weeks, we've seen a remarkable change in media coverage of Mr. Obiden. They're still fully propping him up on his policy positions – because those are their own priorities – but they're undermining him in regards to his personal conduct, family relations and prospects for winning the 2024 rematch with Trump. They're obviously getting the public ready for a change of candidate. Trump surrogate Vivek Ramaswamy <a href="https://x.com/CitizenFreePres/status/1791370831811019158">recently argued very succinctly</a> that Obiden's sudden turn-around on debating Trump – at the earliest date in presidential debate history – is a sink-or-swim Hail Mary the results of which will decide Obiden's fate. I strongly disagree in that I believe his fate is already sealed and the debate is intended to convince his supporters that he needs to go. The whole country will be watching that show.</p>

  280. <p>The most important clue bolstering my theory is the strange May 14, 2024, revisitation by the Washington Post of Joe's near-death experience with a brain aneurism in 1988, titled <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/05/14/biden-nearly-died-an-aneurysm-risky-surgery-changed-his-life/">"Biden once nearly died of an aneurysm. Risky surgery changed his life."</a> Presented as a human-interest story told ostensibly to showcase Joe's "resiliency," I instantly recognized it as a perfect fit for the medical-emergency scenario I've predicted. I think WaPo, the primary narrative-setter for the political realm, is setting the stage for the Obiden removal performance by hanging the opening-curtain backdrop.</p>
  281. <p>The absolutely essential centerpiece of the "diminished capacity" defense on which the scapegoat strategy depends is Robert Hur's report letting Obiden skate on infinitely more egregious violations of classified document laws than Trump is being prosecuted for by Obiden's own Justice Department! As I wrote in my prior column:</p>
  282. <p>"The Obiden Justice Department conveniently just set the table for this [scapegoat strategy]. Per Reuters, 'Robert Hur, the special counsel appointed to investigate whether President Joe Biden improperly handled sensitive government documents, is a former high-ranking Justice Department official with experience in prosecuting sensitive leak investigations. On Thursday, he concluded that probe and found that Biden retained classified materials about Afghanistan after leaving the vice presidency in 2017 but said he will not be criminally charged.'</p>
  283. <p>"Of course, Reuter's omitted the reason that he'll skate, which was stated by the nominally more conservative Forbes in its article titled '"Elderly Man With A Poor Memory": Special Counsel Explains Why Biden Won't Face Charges Over Classified Docs.'</p>
  284. <p>"Those wondering why Obiden's own DOJ – normally so junkyard-dog ferocious in fighting his battles – would seeming disrespect the president so cavalierly now have their answer. Like so very much in today's public square, it's all about narrative-setting and selling. The Biden departure narrative is being built on the foundation that it's Joe's age and health to blame for the classified documents theft – and everything else."</p>
  285. <p>Interestingly, just last Thursday the House Oversight Committee voted to hold Merrick Garland in criminal contempt for refusing to release the tapes of Obiden's interviews with Hur. While this is (rightfully) being spun as a huge win for the conservatives, it also serves the agenda of the Uniparty elites IF my conspiracy theory is true. The DOJ can't be seen by the Obiden base as caving too easily to the Republicans, so there has to be some high-profile resistance as part of the show, but everyone already knows what the tapes will prove, so the real purpose of the controversy in my view is to put and keep the underlying matter of Joe Biden's mental health in the public spotlight. It perfectly serves the elites agenda to have all of America debating Obiden's mental capacity.</p>
  286. <p>The big question still unanswered is the timing of Joe's "stroke." The Dem convention in which a replacement candidate could be hand-picked by the DNC starts Aug. 19. That's only three months away.</p>
  287. <p>When trying to ascertain liberal strategies, especially associated with Obama and the Clintons (whom I think are running this show) I always try to think like a Hollywood scriptwriter. They're going to want to coordinate the key events to maximally hurt/blame Trump even as they replace Obiden. I'm thinking the context of the first presidential debate at CNN on June 27 is a likely option – such as goading Trump into going extra hard at Biden in the first debate, followed by a Biden stroke that evening or soon after. Trump gets framed as the playground bully who put a feeble old man in the hospital with the force of his mean-spiritedness. Pure speculation, I know, but very plausible. It would play well to liberal women, which constituency is (election fraud aside) the Dems' best hope for a November upset.</p>
  288. <p>The second Biden/Trump debate set for Sept. 10 on ABC obviously would be moot in that scenario, but the official Presidential Commission debates set for Sept. 16 and Oct. 9, 2024, could go on as scheduled with Trump vs "Big Mike" Obama, Hillary or whatever other circus clown the Uniparty picks at the DNC convention.</p>
  289. <p>There are other possible scenarios, I know, such as Obiden catching a permanently debilitating new Fauci super-bug (as I mentioned in my "Joey the Scapegoat" article) – which would further other agendas of the elites at the same time. But, thanks to the Washington Post, I'm feeling pretty good about my chances for being right on the staged Biden Stroke-Out option.</p>

  314. <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So let me get this right: The murder by beheading of the American journalist for The Wall Street Journal, Feb. 1, 2002, in Pakistan was a case of, "It happens." Videos of Muslims using the head of the young journalist, husband and father as a soccer ball and a ball to play catch with were broadcast around the world. But, that too didn't matter; after all, Danny Pearl was only a Jew.</p>
  315. <p>Do you remember what the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICC) said and did in conjunction with the first bombing of the World Trade Tower? Do you remember what the two groups did when Muslims committed mass murder and slaughter in Malaysia and the Philippines? I suppose I should first ask how many that glob down cable news programming every night, even remember the acts of Muslim mayhem; but I digress.</p>
  316. <p>Karim Khan (or "jackpot ali Khan" as I call him), chief prosecutor for the ICC, isn't prattling along soiling his pants, insisting that only Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be brought before the court and charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes. In an attempt to show himself impartial, good old "jackpot ali Khan," is also calling for the arrest of real war criminals who are part of Hamas.</p>

  318. <p>Sadly, many of the people walking around today claiming to be schooled in world affairs have no memory of Mr. Pearl or of his murder whatsoever. In fact, even more offensive, many of the demonic lunatics promoting the anti-Semitism on campuses today weren't even born at the time of his murder. How convenient it is to be so wholly intellectually unaware and uninformed.</p>
  319. <p>We know the crackheads and campus outlaws rioting, engaging in mayhem and building playhouse stockades on campuses are oblivious to the extent they're simply useful idiots.</p>
  320. <p>The bottom line to this charade is that it's a poorly constructed sham intended to back Israel into a corner and force Prime Minister Netanyahu out of office. And, you can bet dollars to donuts that Obama's fingerprints are on this poorly conceived plan to destroy the prime minister. Apparently they miss the fact that Netanyahu, like President Trump, is a real man.</p>
  321. <p>The prime minister doesn't spend his time fantasizing about sodomizing other men (as has Obama). The prime minister is concentrating on leading his people.</p>
  322. <p>The ICC's "jackpot ali Khan" misses the fact that like Donald J. Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu's spine is made of titanium aluminide. He doesn't buckle and run at the first winds of storm.</p>
  323. <p>The forces trying to back Israel's leader into a corner are in over their heads. Justice, truth and righteousness are on the side of the prime minister, just as they are for President Trump.</p>
  324. <p>It would be laughable, if the tactics weren't so predictable. Where are the calls for the goat herder Bedouins from Oct. 7, 2023, to be charged as war criminals and with crimes against humanity? Or maybe Israeli forces have killed them all by now. Or even still, maybe those charges do not count when an unprovoked terrorist attack takes place. Maybe those charges are only applied when a sovereign nation is defending itself.</p>
  325. <p>It is as transpicuous as a clean window on bright sunny day. During these dark days – and I mind you that biblically speaking they are not going to get better – the time Christians will be here is just going to get shorter.</p>
  326. <p>When is the last time the ICC called for any group to be charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes for those who have raided and murdered innocent Israelis?</p>
  327. <p>It is time to end this charade. In the immortal words of Shakespeare, it is time to: "Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war." But, even that is restrained for yet a period of time known only to God Himself.</p>
  328. <p>However, I can assure all that when that day comes, crimes against humanity and war crimes will be the last thing the likes of "jackpot ali Khan" will soil themselves over.</p>
  329. <p>In closing I have no doubts that two things are undeniably true: 1) God will protect Israel up to the moment the heavenly doors of eternity are opened; and 2) At that time the likes of "jackpot ali Khan" and Obama will still be running around trying to destroy Israel.</p>

He had to keep his mouth shut about witnesses in the trial, jurors and lawyers. It didn't work perfectly. He was fined a few thousand dollars for several violations.</p>
  355. <p>So what I have decided to do is issue a series of comments that I believe would represent some verbal punches Trump would have thrown if he could.</p>
  356. <p>Of course, if Trump gets elected in November and these giggles helped take him to victory, I want something in return. I would like to be secretary of state in the new administration. After watching Antony Blinken get us involved in a couple wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, I know that I could be just as inept. I can't play a rock guitar like Blinken at a karaoke night in Kiev, but I could rock with a mean accordion in Tel Aviv.</p>

  359. <p>Anybody who knows Trump knows that he would've had some spicy comments about Stormy Daniels, probably something like this: "After seeing Stormy Daniels in the courtroom, I think it's time she change her porn name, because the years haven't been too kind to her. Stormy looks more like 'Storm-Damaged Daniels.'" Ba rump bump!</p>
  360. <p>Of course, Trump's chief nemesis was Michael Cohen. "Did you notice the people near Crooked Cohen when he raised his hand to take the oath. They all ducked for cover, figuring a lightning bolt was about to hit."</p>
  361. <p>I'm sure the trial judge would have received more than the remarks Trump has made about him outside the courtroom: "That judge Juan M. Merchan is so corrupt, his middle initial M. must stand for 'mucho money.'" Ba rump bump!</p>
  362. <p>Although Joe Biden has nothing to do with the trial other than being its author, Trump might as well take a shot at him when the cameras are running: "The other day Joe Biden told another lie as usual. He said that when he took over from me, the inflation rate was 9 percent. Well to set the record straight for Crooked Joe, it was 1.4 percent. So Joe, the 9 was not the inflation rate, that was your IQ when you took over – and now it's down to 1.4."</p>
  363. <p>Just when the NYC fraud trial was becoming a dumpster fire for the Biden camp, a bit of news was made to divert attention from the flames. Biden and Trump have scheduled a debate for June 27. That announcement should have led to this haymaker from Trump: "I'd debate Crooked Joe this afternoon, tonight, tomorrow morning or whenever he isn't taking a nap. But, his puppet masters need another month and a half to get Sleepy Joe ready just to remember his name."</p>
  364. <p>Finally, why not take a shot at the human word-salad while Trump has the spotlight in NYC. "I see where our esteemed Vice President Kamala Harris dropped the F-bomb on a TV interview the other day. Well, congratulations, Kamala, It almost took you four years but you did it. You finally lived up to the 'vice' part of your title." Ba rump bump!</p>
