  68. <p><br><br>I&#8217;m happy to say I finished them all with Libya with my friend Michael Noel.  It was he who together we took on this quest to help each other to visit every single country in the world.  No matter if you call it 193, 195, 197 or 198&#8230; I&#8217;ve visited them all.  What an incredible accomplishment.  So, so happy to have been able to complete this quest.<br><br></p>

  111. <p>Ignite was a little different this year.  Many interesting experiments in the name of Hybrid.  I for one, was a little shocked with the layout and presentation of this year&#8217;s Fall Ignite 2022.  From a keynote and CoreNotes that were recorded and delivered remotely to a series of &#8220;online only&#8221; pre-recorded sessions, it was weird and a little different.  As someone who made the trek to Seattle to get the on the ground word on the street I was happy to have been able to catch up with Chris McNulty and Michael Holste.  Key players in the story on Microsoft Syntex, Viva and Viva Engage as well as time with Karuana and Stephen Rose on Teams.  Much of what really wanted to dig into I was able to find those key players to get clear answers and a little bit more.  Following the event I was able to provide some engaging &#8220;after parties&#8221; in So California  which were ultimately community gatherings to distill our lessons learned followed by and an event in Mexico city where I dove into security enhancements and deployment of Microsoft Purview.  I absolutely had a blast in Seattle and the event was &#8220;worth it&#8221; for me, it quickly reminded me that Networking and renewing the passion is my goal for events.  I enjoyed spending more time with fewer vendors in the conference room setup&#8230; far from the Expo Halls of yesteryear, but I hope and expect we&#8217;ll to get back to the mega conference mania in the coming year.  Those that were around me also enjoyed the event despite some feedback about some levels of the chaos.  Many new friendships&#8230;</p>

  631. <p>Microsoft Viva is not well understood by most.  Many are confused&#8230; Is it a product? it is a service? Is it a series of products?  Why do they call them modules?  </p>

  635. <p>Microsoft Viva is a Wave.  Microsoft has announced the first four modules, but they aren&#8217;t licensed together or bundled together.  In the beginning back in February I was calling Viva &#8220;Marketecture.&#8221;  Maretecture is when the marketing team owns the strategy and architecture.  I&#8217;m saying this a little tongue in cheek, as Viva is a series of products that originally weren&#8217;t designed to be together, but with a big enough drum and a marketing powerhouse like Microsoft.  The product teams are falling in line and the first four modules of this Viva wave has been announced.  </p>

  647. <p>Alone customers are used to SAAS services simply being upgraded along the way.  Microsoft Viva is different.  Each of these modules needs to be looked at individually and considered as new rich functionality.  The positioning around Employee Experience along with Employee Engagement provides an opportunity to engage a number of new business unit technology focused groups such as Intranet teams, Marcom, corporate communications, HR IT, and HR services groups, HR University LMS teams focused on learning and instruction along with CXOs focused on employee services.  Imagine executives who may pick up on any of these modules as truly pluggable in Microsoft Teams.  </p>
