29.    先进入左手的东展厅，最先介绍的是塘沽的形成。是由黄河泥沙和海潮两方面的作用形成的。有图仔细地标出了至今5000年、3000年、1000年乃至数百年前渤海海岸线的位置。还展有主要由贝克形成的塘沽的地层截面，一种是由长20厘米左右椭圆形大贝壳组成的，还有一种是由直径几厘米的小贝壳组成的。生物的遗骸和泥沙在水流的推动下形成了塘沽的地面，并且还在继续扩大。
