246. 长年以来，研究者对此次隆永之役或语焉不详，或照搬古文。读者感觉内容僵硬、互不衔接，或因断档不解其意，有明显硬伤。探其原因有二。
247. 其一、研究者由于无法得知曹家庄所处位置，因此不能确定战场位置。翻开延庆县地图，可发现有大曹营、小曹营、东曹营、西曹营、南曹营、北曹营，而独无曹家庄（营）。因此，有材料介绍曹家庄时，竟然指认延庆县城以东十二里、妫河北岸曹官营为曹家营(请见上文地形图)。此与战役路线南辕北辙，不知有何 ……

366.       第七日，即丁巳日（农历二月十七日，公历3月15日）。晨，天色未明，万达便督大同参将姜应熊东进，时西风始作。
367.       姜应熊，悍将也，大小历十数战。《明史•列传第六十二》载：嘉靖“四十年（公元1561年）秋，寇六万余骑犯居庸岔道口，应熊被围于南沟，中五枪堕马，参将胡镇杀数人夺之归”。
368.       中五枪落马，英雄也。此役结束，应熊升任大同总兵。参将胡镇，升任蓟镇总兵。二人可谓猩猩相惜。若用现代语言讲，二人属战友之情。
