There’s no one match or angle that stuck out here. What hit me was the difficulty in doing a “Homecoming” event. There are so many people to please and so little time to do it. NXT didn’t completely succeed for me as not everything really fit together. But the moments it did, like Sami Zayn showing love to Je’Von Evans, worked because they integrated the NXT graduates seamlessly into current storylines. They leaned more towards homages and hat tips to the past. And they showed their hand early.

Triple H cut an impassioned promo about the place that is the reason he’s WWE’s CCO. Shawn Michaels’ music hit and the two best friends gave each other props. But then this happened:

This segued into William Regal calling for “WAR GAMES,” which weirdly transitioned into Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss showing up. So right there, we get the tease of an interesting story with Shawn and Hunter vying for control, possibly through War Games, only for it to awkwardly lead into Charlotte and Alexa rightly shouting out the women who made NXT into what it is today. None of it gelled and the tension between Shawn and Trips was just fan service that called for more fan service.

Here’s the caveat: fan service does nothing for me. I’d rather moments that matter than being able to become the living embodiment of the Leonardo Dicaprio gif from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. We got fan service the rest of the night for the most part. Finn Balor showed up with his old music (thank Zeus) and interrupted Lexis King’s latest tirade against Myles Borne. Bobby Roode gave No Quarter Catch Crew a pep talk but also told Joe Hendry how proud it made him seeing the singer/wrestler carry the TNA Championship into WrestleMania.

Bianca Belair sat ringside while her husband, Montez Ford, met DarkState and reminisced about the good old says he sorely misses. On the flip side, Damian Priest did have something important to do narratively when he gave Tavion Heights the good news about his North American Championship match at No Mercy. Shayna Baszler appeared out of nowhere with sound advice for Sol Ruca & Zaria that should play into their story going forward. And like I said earlier, Sami’s interaction with Je’Von was cool. The problem is it just felt like a lot for only two hours, which wasn’t NXT’s fault. The time slot is the time slot and all they can do is make it work for them.

This really needed another hour to let things breathe and not feel like going from one special cameo to the next. And with a more interesting TNA storyline bubbling in the background, it made this show seem like filler material instead of a celebration.

You can definitely go home again but next time NXT does, I hope things feel more organic.

Album Cuts

After reminding everyone that the women run this mother…Charlotte & Alexa successfully defended their Women’s Tag Team Championships against The Culling. First off, Full Sail University is a fantastic venue and I wish NXT was still there. It looks great on television and feels more intimate, despite being larger than the Performance Center. As for the match itself, the territory created a mirror match. Tatum Paxley and Alexa started with a stare down while holding their respective dolls, then commenced to a contest of “anything you can weird, I can do weirder.” Charlotte mostly ran with Izzi Dame. And once those pairs split up during the match breakdown, Alexa finished Tatum with a Sister Abigail. It was a fine showing for the challengers that put them in front of a hot crowd against NXT royalty.

Speaking of NXT royalty, DIY showed up in gear appropriate for a Homecoming show. Tommaso Ciampa showed up in face paint with his “No One Will Survive” theme pumping. While he and Johnny Gargano reached into their NXT bag of tricks, it wasn’t enough to defeat Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes. Grant it, they had a lot of help from Miz, but why let that get in the way of a good story? I like that they didn’t forget the tension in Trick Melo Gang. Yes, they hugged before the match and even gave me warm feelings reciting their catchphrase, but we got moments where it looked like Trick might betray his brother. And we got Melo tagging himself in right as Trick lined up a Trick Shot finish. Things weren’t great between them but, again, they got the W and, what’s more, Melo kicked out of a Project Ciampa. It was a nice trip down memory lane that I hope segues into a Melo Don’t Miz beef with DIY. As for Trick…

The TNA Champion poked his nose into the Grayson Waller Effect featuring Oba Femi and Ricky Saints. I thought Oba came off strong on the mic, Ricky less so. And no, not because Oba said Ricky will carry Cody Rhodes’ bags the minute he gets to the main roster. But Oba sounded more confident and coherent with his points. He doesn’t think Ricky is that special and every point backed that up. Ricky painted Oba as a pampered athlete who doesn’t know the struggle that Ricky endured to get to this point. It was fine but I’ve heard Ricky in finer form. But the big news is Trick vs. Oba next week, title vs. title. Ricky Saints gets the winner. Oh, and TNA wrestlers really aren’t happy about this. I’m sure they’ll interfere next week because, yeah, the TNA Championship feels like another WWE championship.

Tyler Breeze looked awesome against Ethan Page. This was a sound wrestling match between to very seasoned vets fighting to see which Canadian might rule the United States. I’d take either of them right now. Really dug this match, if only because it showed Tyler showing everything he can do. Ethan won because of course he did, but Tyler made him work for it.

The main event was all about showcasing Stephanie Vaquer, Lyra Valkyria, & Rhea Ripley. This was their homecoming and their event. Of course they defeated Fatal Influence.

The Homecoming definitely did its job when it comes to making that crowd lose their minds. While all the nostalgia didn’t hit me like it hit them, I understand the high degree of difficulty and the show’s intent. It was a fun event, even if I wish they used the NXT alumni more organically and in more meaningful ways. But I at least got Finn’s old theme back for one night. That’s always a win.

What say you, Cage Siders?

We were getting tweets like this throughout the night:

Which, sure, but then you also got this from someone who was featured in the opening package:

And then you get this, and it seems pretty obvious that something is brewing:

Also.

To keep it real with everyone…
I’m pretty sick and tired of all the “WWE/NXT has control over TNA and can do what they want”, bullshit.

Think it’s about time we put it to rest and do something about…#NXTHomecoming
— Mike SANTANA🇵🇷 (@Santana_Proud) September 17, 2025

Invasion time?

They seem to be outright hinting at it possibly happening next week, where it’s been announced that NXT Champion Oba Femi will take on TNA Champion Trick Williams in a winner take all match:

The partnership between NXT and TNA has indeed been incredibly one-sided, with the WWE contracted talent coming out ahead far more often than not. An invasion likely wouldn’t go much differently, but at the very least it could cast TNA and its talent in a much better light.

I guess we’ll find out next week.

WWE decided to go all out for this week’s episode of NXT back at Full Sail, calling it “Homecoming” and breaking out the big guns for it. That meant opening the show with the old authority figures, both off screen and on in Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and William Regal.

They played it for comedy but also teased doing serious with it when Triple H made like he could want to come back and take his old job from his friend HBK. That’s when Regal showed up to work the gimmick, telling them they can settle in the old fashioned way.

That, in and of itself, would have been a fun little bit they could have ended without resolving. But the way they resolved it may have been pitch perfect.

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, two famous alums who currently hold the women’s tag team titles and were scheduled to defend them on this very show, arrived to simply say one thing — actually, women have always ruled NXT and that’s going to continue into the future:

"The women have ALWAYS run NXT!"

And if you're not down with that, @AlexaBliss_WWE and @MsCharlotteWWE have two words for ya! pic.twitter.com/MXsbLPrNM1
— WWE (@WWE) September 17, 2025

That’s quite literally how they ended the argument. Women rule and that’s that.

Amazing.

Meanwhile, Flair & Bliss instantly defended their titles by defeating The Culling as they were scheduled to do.

WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR SEPT. 16

Had fingers in my eyes, had needles in my veins, a knife right through my heart, I am liveblogging this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a flyby of Full Sail.

A video package highlighting NXT’s history, set to NXT’s first (and best) theme song, Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria, follows.

We then get an intro video set to Roar of the Crowd. (C’mon, no Powerflo?)

(On your knees, dog.)

Hunter Hearst-Helmsley makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says this show in this place is something special and for every talent that walked out of that… video board (he was gonna say curtain but there isn’t one), for every staff member, crew, production member, for every kid that went to Full Sail University and was part of that process, they’re all special.

And everyone that’s here, everyone watching at home on the CW is special. (Well I knew that.) He says we’re why NXT is stronger than ever and we all took something that started as a whisper and turned it into an undeniable roar. Our passion for this turned it into that roar and shattered convention and allowed NXT to take over.

He says we are the ones that said NXT is the future, the ones that said NXT, that future is now, the ones that stood up on our feet and shouted at the top of our lungs, “We are NXT!”

And so he comes out here now and stands up and says “thank you.”

Enter “Heartbreak Man” Shawn Michaels.

He thanks everybody and says they’re all thrilled to have Hunter here at NXT Homecoming and we know he’s out there selling out gates and making billion dollar deals, but he and his NXT superstars are ready to steer this ship into the future. HHH tells him that he and his team and the talent have knocked it out of the park, it’s the best thing on the CW and they’re lighting the world on fire.

“Thank you, Shawn!” chants go up and Hunter agrees, but what if he said he wanted to come back? Shawn says he didn’t want this to get uncomfortable, but he gets real close and tells Hunter that they would have a very, very big problem if that was the case.

Enter William Regal, the old villain himself!

He gets on the mic and says he knows how to settle this, there’s only one way… WARGAMES!

Enter Charlotte Flair, sure why not.

She’s followed immediately after by Alexa Bliss, to “Welcome home!” chants.

Bliss gets on the mic and says Hunter and Shawn argue more than they do, and Flair says they don’t argue at all, they’re besties! And it doesn’t matter who’s in charge, the women have always run NXT and this is where the women’s revolution started, with women like the four– she lays back to let a “Women’s wrestling!” chant ring out.

Like the Four Horsewomen, Paige, Asuka, Carmella, Alexa Bliss. Alexa adds Charlotte, Rhea Ripley, Ember Moon, IYO SKY, and says she could keep going but women are the backbone of NXT and that’s never gonna change. And if you’re not down with that, she’s got two words for ya– the crowd fills in the “Suck it!” for her.

We cut to the Culling walking backstage and Tatum Paxley having a happy reunion with Lyra Valkyria as we go to break.

Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair (c) vs. the Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley) (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship)

Paxley and Bliss to start, two awkward girls holding dolls squaring up, the referee tells them to back off and leave the foreign objects outside and they do so. Circling, collar and elbow, Tatum with a mat slam and she skips around a little bit. Alexa back on her feet, charging in, Matrix evasion dodges a lariat, Bliss in the ropes, crossbody, Sister Abigail denied!

Tags made, Flair offers a hand and Dame slaps it! Duck under, big chop gets a boot, Izzi smashes her face into the turnbuckles a few times, Charlotte turns her around, kicks and chops, tag champs clear the ring and pose and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Flair fends off the Culling two for one, kick stuns Dame, wading in with chops, taking on both of ’em at once, Izzi with a boot up, Paxley with an enzuigiri! Dame with a diving Codebreaker… NOPE! Charlotte and Izzi trading strikes, both women down and out, tags made!

Bliss in hot, dropkick and elbows, knee lift, shotgun dropkick, off the ropes, blockbuster… NOPE! Paxley with a back elbow, Alexa goozles her… NODOWA OTOSHI! Up top, kick to Dame, Flair fends off interference from Niko Vance, Twisted Bliss… BUT THE KNEES WERE UP! Folding press, feet on the ropes… BLISS STILL KICKS OUT!

Tatum blasts Charlotte with an elbow, cheap shot from Dame, Lightning Spiral… FLAIR BREAKS IT UP! Izzi attacks Charlotte and gets taken to the floor, Paxley 450 splash, nobody home, Alexa with a vicious elbow, bending her over…

Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair win by pinfall with the Sister Abigail DDT from Bliss on Tatum Paxley, retaining the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Backstage, Zaria and Sol Ruca are arguing about what happened last week when Lainey Reid rolls up to chastise her for not paying attention to her opponent for No Mercy, who she claims is gonna be her.

Candice LeRae rolls up to say nuh-uh I’m gonna win the tournament and they bicker.

Shayna Baszler rolls up and tells Sol to fix this, because what she and Zaria has is special. Just apologize, fix it, and you’ll get everything you want. Sol and Zaria agree to make up and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Trick Williams makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says one thing’s for sure, two things are for certain, and Carmelo Hayes’ voice rings out and says that’s all it is and all it’s gonna be as he makes his entrance.

#DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Trick-Melo Gang (Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams)

Gargano and Hayes to start, fast-paced mat wrestling action, tag to Williams, double whip, dropkick, Johnny breaks away and tags Ciampa in. Lou Thesz Press into mounted punches, passing both Trick and Melo to the floor, running knee, Gargano dives! #DIY pose on the turnbuckles and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Ciampa and Williams both down and out, crawling, tags made! Gargano clobbers Hayes with a couple lariats, step-up enzuigiri, corner knees on both guys, bulldog / lariat combo! Superman Spear blocked, Hayes springboard kick, Superman Spear… NO DEAL! Tag to Tom, back suplex, Melo lands on his feet, malfunction at the junction barely avoided, Trick Willy tags in and wipes ’em out!

Cyclone Kill on Ciampa, flapjack on Gargano, Swiss Death on Tom! Kneepad down, fired up, Hayes tags in and winks at him and lands La Mistica! Melo shrugs him off and Trick hugs him but when he turns his back, Williams lines him up, leaping lariat, Hayes ducks and Gargano gets it! Hart Attack from Trick and Melo, Johnny breaks it up!

Match breaking down into “everybody do something cool” territory… PROJECT CIAMPA ON HAYES BUT IT’S NOT ENOUGH! Tommy gets the Angel’s Wings on Trick, tag to Johnny, lining them up but Carmelo shoulder blocks Williams out of the way and fights them off two for one… SHATTER MACHINE TAKES HAYES OUT!

Meet in the Middle connects, I guess he’s legal but Trick Willy breaks it up! Passing Gargano to the floor, Miz appears out of nowhere and hits Skull-Crushing Finale on Johnny on the floor! Hayes off the top…

Trick-Melo Gang win by pinfall with Nothing But Net from Carmelo Hayes on Johnny Gargano.

We see Tyler Breeze getting ready backstage and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Sami Zayn is interviewed backstage.

He talks about how emotional it is to be back and says one particular person here now reminds him of himself and Ava Raine sees it too, and that’s Je’Von Evans.

Josh Briggs rolls up to tell Sami he’s wrong and wasting his time, Je’Von is a kid, a bum who hasn’t done anything– JE’VON EVANS IS A KID WHO’S ATTACKING JOSH BRIGGS!

Zayn pulls him off and says Evans has something you can’t teach, he’s got heart and he’s got a big future ahead of him, and for guys like them it doesn’t come easy, but the sky’s the limit. He wishes Je’Von luck and they slap hands.

We’re shown El Hijo del Dr. Wagner, Jr. in the front row.

“All Ego” Ethan Page (c) vs. Tyler Breeze (NXT North American Championship)

Collar and elbow, Page grabs a side headlock, grappling, Ethan ends up posing in the corner. Back to the headlock, shot off, shoulder block, drop down, dropkick, now Tyler poses in the corner! Fakeout superkick, basement superkick, off the ropes for a dropkick, whip reversed, up and over, All Ego cracks a wicked punch across Prince Pretty’s jaw and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Breeze with an enzuigiri from the apron, slide under, Page sits down for a pin, hnd on the ropes, referee catches him! Kick, up for it, Ego’s Edge connects… NOPE! Working Tyler over in the corner, he slips out and posts All Ego’s knee! Back inside, legscissors rolled through into a half-crab!

Page crawling, desperate, and he gets the ropes! Inside cradle for two, superkick follows, Breeze falls into a cover… STILL NO! Fighting over a backslide, Twisted Grin blocked, back suplex, Tyler lands on his feet, boots up in the corner, jockeying for position, Cheeky Nando’s sets up a heel kick… NOT ENOUGH!

Breeze headed up top, Page cuts him off…

Ethan Page wins by pinfall with an avalanche Twisted Grin, retaining the NXT North American Championship.

Backstage, Damian Priest rolls up on Tavion Heights.

He says he’s been watching Heights and he’s SO close to the next level and he knows what that’s like. It clicked for him when he fought Finn Balor at NXT In Your House and shortly after he won the NXT North American Championship and had the greatest celebration in NXT history in the hot tub.

And he went to Ava Raine and he got Tavion a title match against All Ego at No Mercy. He tells Heights to feel free to ask him for advice any time and Tavion says he’s got a lot of questions right now.

We cut to Grayson Waller walking backstage and we go to break.

Back from commercial, the ring is set up for the Grayson Waller Effect.

Grayson Waller welcomes us to the show and introduces his guests, “Temu Grayson Waller” Ricky Saints and Oba Femi. He insults both of them and asks who’s gonna win at No Mercy, Obarated or Ricky Soft? Femi calls him a puppet and says he’ll humor him tonight and says he’s underwhelmed by Saints and he doesn’t think he can carry the title.

Saints tells him he’s not familiar with his game and it’s cute that a guy recruited right out of college wants to talk, and asks what Oba Femi is without the title. He acts like he’s got a warrior spirit but he’s just a pampered athlete whereas Ricky grinded for years and eight years ago poured out all his effort at a tryout only to go home and get an automated email telling him no.

But it did work out because a delay is not a denial and he’ll always gamble on himself and everything he’s given to this business means everything to him, and come No Mercy he won’t be delayed or denied, because he is “Absolute” Ricky Saints.

Enter Trick Williams.

He says Ricky has to put the pause button on everything he’s got going on because Oba has something that belongs to him. He tells Saints to put the boo-boo face away and the only reason he’s here is because Trick made NXT hot again. Grayson says he’s gonna go talk to Ava and Santino and next week it’ll be Trick Williams vs. Oba Femi, title for title, winner takes all!

Oba says he’s gonna beat Trick next week and then at No Mercy he’s gonna send Ricky home in disgrace, and THAT is the Oba Femi rub.

Charlie Dempsey and Wren Sinclair are hanging out backstage.

Sinclair babbles about ways to get their stuff going again and Charlie says he’s already figured it out, he’s going to Japan for a month and he knows that’s going to be hard on her but she can handle it. She says it’ll be glorious, actually–

Bobby Roode is here!

We get a Glorious Bomb and Wren says that’s as cool as Joe Hendry–

Joe Hendry is here!

Roode says Hendry held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and it was glorious just like when he did, but now he has to focus on another title he held, and bids him go after the NXT Championship.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Lexis King is in the ring, mic in hand.

He says who better to celebrate NXT with than the flesh and blood of NXT, Lexis “Homecoming” King. He’s got something to say and it might ruffle some feathers, and that’s that Black-and-Gold NXT is overrated and doesn’t hold up to the standards of NXT today. The stars of those days have moved on, but he’s still here, and last week he was attacked in the darkness by Myles Borne.

He says Borne is a sick and disgusting, evil and vile deaf man, and Ava Raine agrees, so she set up a Lights Out match for them next week. You wanna dance in the dark, he’ll knock your lights out!

The lights go down.

Enter Finn Balor.

MYLES BORNE OUT OF NOWHERE TO TAKE KING OUT! Balor perches… COUP DE GRACE!

Fatal Influence make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Darkstate are interviewed backstage.

They say the only thing that matters is they’ve still got the gold and other teams gotta get in line to get put down.

Montez Ford rolls up in a kickass leopard print suit, and he’s not here to start anything because he respects what they’re doing and they need to worry about the target on their backs.

Bianca Belair is in the front row in a matching leopard print outfit, which is adorable.

Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, & Jazmyn Nyx) vs. Lyra Valkyria, Rhea Ripley, & Stephanie Vaquer)

Brawling before the bell as Fatal Influence attacks, Nyx starting opposite Vaquer once we get a bell but they immediately set in on quick tags and cutting her off. Bridging pin on Jayne, Jacy snaps offa tijeras after, backsplash caught, snapmare into the turnbuckles from La Primera, roll over and tag Lyra Valkyria in! Kick combo on Henley and Nyx, duck a lariat from Jayne, cartwheel to an enzuigiri and she’s fired up!

Babyface team wipe the heels out on the ramp and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Nyx has Valkyria grounded with a front chancery, back body drop, roll through the sunset flip, running knee from Jazmyn for two! Henley tags in, double flapjack, tag to Jacy, off the ropes, she blasts Lyra and gets a cover for two! Both women down, crawling, tags made! Vaquer with a crossbody, straight suplex, Sole Food takes Fallon out!

Underhooks, Jayne breaks it up, Nyx runs in with a kick, tag, catapult into the Nyx Kick, cover for two! Desperate tag from Stephanie and Rhea Ripley comes in a house afire! Short-arm solebutt on Jacy, fallaway slam follows, fired up! Working stereo with Vaquer taking it to Henley, Valkyria dropkicks Jazmyn to the floor, diving dropkick, Rhea and Stephanie are in agreement… STEREO DEVIL’S KISSES!

Ripley pumphandle…

Lyra Valkyria, Rhea Ripley, & Stephanie Vaquer win by pinfall with Riptide from Ripley on Jacy Jayne.

The babyface team is joined by Lola Vice for a celebration.

Ava Raine and William Regal are backstage for a staredown between Oba Femi and Trick Williams ahead of their match next week.

That’s the show, folks.

I planned on writing a more complete piece on the Rollins vs. the Punk-Lees family war, but honestly, I just can’t bring myself to do it.

Why?

Because I don’t care enough about this feud. Not anymore.

Credit to WWE for building to what seems to be a highly anticipated match in just two weeks. They teased the return of CM Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, beginning with Seth Rollins’ vile words at Clash in Paris. The next night on Raw, Becky Lynch got physical with Punk, slapping him several times. Four nights later, Lee showed up in Chicago, smiling and skipping before taking Lynch down and dropping bombs on her.

Then came last Monday’s Raw, where Lee reintroduced herself to longtime fans and a newer audience. Once again, after her usual smiling and skipping, followed by backhanded compliments and sardonic wit, Lee and Punk talked their way into a match with the Rollins clan at Wrestlepalooza.

Last night, both families met for the final time before the big showdown this weekend in Indianapolis — available to watch for $29.99 as part of a subscription to ESPN’s new streaming service. While the segment ended with fireworks, it was all popcorn farts for the previous 20 minutes.

Fans at Raw bellowed everything from “AJ’s Husband” to “No One Likes You,” desperately trying to get their chants in — which only dragged the segment out longer. Punk and Lee taunted Lynch and her husband with more sarcasm and zingers. At one point, Lee made sure to mention Lynch’s autobiography, just to jab her with the fact that she didn’t read it.

AJ Lee… we missed you so much! 😂 pic.twitter.com/zqW0TjXV1J
— WWE (@WWE) September 16, 2025

Here’s my point: Seth Rollins and CM Punk have had the most heated rivalry in WWE for the past nine months. It’s the kind of feud that would end in blood. Then Becky Lynch got involved, taking up for her husband, costing Punk the World Title, and slapping the hell out of him while emasculating him with her words.

There was no way this story could move forward without AJ Lee returning to get her some Lynch. But the smiling, skipping, and endless banter have taken the piss out of this angle — at least for me. While Lee was never an imposing figure or traditional badass, I expected her to return with fire and rage after Lynch assaulted her spouse.

Instead, we get cutesy one-liners like:

“I’m a Puerto Rican from New Jersey. Sometimes I shank a chick.”

To quote the late, great Elvis Presley, “A little less conversation, a little more action please. All this aggravation ain’t satisfactioning me.”

Of course, like many of you, I’ll have to pony up 30 bucks for that satisfactioning. But with so many words and so little punch behind them, WWE has talked me out of caring.

Workers are always looking for ways to attach their names to stories generating headlines, and Maxwell Jacob Friedman is… well, a lot of things. But one of them is certainly a worker.

Andrade’s name was trending on Saturday (Sept. 13) after the surprising news that he’d been released by WWE — which of course came along with the speculation about a possible return to AEW and/or CMLL, where MJF is currently working a big angle opposite Mistico for their 92nd Anniversary show this Friday night. So Max took the opportunity to tag both the Mexican promotion and his former co-worker. While also plugging his All Out match, of course:

Ay yo @AndradeElIdolo

Ima be in Mexico beating the ever loving shit out of Mistico @CMLL_OFICIAL infront of all your broke ass country men.

Lmk if you wanna grab a marg before I hope on my jet to Toronto to whoop mark briscoes hillbilly ass.
— Maxwell Jacob Friedman™️ (@The_MJF) September 13, 2025

Andrade did not want to “grab a marg”. He responded with a universally understood finger gesture, and by calling The Bastard a bastard in Spanish. MJF called him a dog in return:

Oh it’s like that?

Okay, Perro. https://t.co/WyCJguxsVX
— Maxwell Jacob Friedman™️ (@The_MJF) September 15, 2025

Now, Andrade’s upped the ante by proposing Friedman squeeze a Mask vs. Hair match against him into Max’s busy schedule. Not sure if this would be before MJF and Mistico’s Mask vs. Title match, or if it would be the mask the AEW star already took from Mistico vs. Andrade’s hair, or Andrade’s old La Sombra mask against Max’s hair.

That can wait until Andrade actually shows up in one of the several many places that MJF works, though. We’ll keep you posted.

What little data we get about the performance of WWE Raw on Netflix is here. It comes from the streamer itself via their Tudum website.

Tudum ranks Netflix’s Top 10 shows by weekly number of views, which it calculates by dividing the time all subscribers spent watching a program by its duration. The default is a global ranking, which is also the only one where Netflix shows its work (e.g. the numbers behind the ranking). You can view the Top 10 for each country Netflix is in, but that only gives you a ranking, no numbers. Similar ranked lists are available for shows in English, one for shows in all other languages, and corresponding Top 10s for movies.

The latest Raw we’re getting Netflix’s numbers for streamed live from Milwaukee on Sept. 8, and featured AJ Lee’s first WWE promo in more than ten years — which led to the announcement of a Wrestlepalooza showdown between Lee & hubby CM Punk against Becky Lynch & her man Seth Rollins.

It had 2.6 million views, 200K better than the previous episode’s record low number. It didn’t change Raw’s global rank, however. The red show remained in eighth place for the seven-day span that ended on Sept. 14. In the United States, Raw fell one spot to sixth place. For comparison sake, Netflix’s most viewed show from Sept. 8-14 was the Turki Al-Sheikh’s Terence Crawford/Canelo Alvarez fight. It had 17.7 million views from Saturday night until the end of the tracking period.

Netflix is tracking a week’s worth of viewing, but it’s worth wondering how much of Raw’s audience still watches live. It was the first week of regular season Monday Night Football, and in the U.S. that game (Vikings/Bears) drew more than 20 million viewers and a 5.41 18-49 rating on ABC and ESPN.

We’ll keep tracking Raw’s “views” data here… until it slips out of the global Top 10, and then it seems like we’ll stop getting any. But we’re gonna pass along whatever information we do get, and add it to our regular rundown of Raw’s TUDUM-reported performance for each episode of the Netflix Era:

Even with the news that Tiffany Stratton has been pulled from tonight’s special “Homecoming” edition of NXT, the WWE developmental program’s top show will still feature plenty of main roster stars.
Time will tell, I suppose. But as WWE continues building toward Americanos trios matches and intra-Americanos feuds, we’ll tell you that we just recently got some unofficial confirmation about a leading Americano suspect’s side job as a producer in WWE’s new lucha libre promotion, AAA.

Pete Dunne, who many believe is the Mediano Americano in the white mask to our right in the above GIF (with Ludwig Kaiser in the singlet playing the second Grande, and Tyler Bate as Pequeno Americano in the blue mask), has reportedly been working as a producer for a while. There was a rumor Dunne was working on Speed in the early days of that X-exclusive show, and more recently a report he was one of the “key producers” in AAA.

In a video compilation of his whirlwind trip to Las Vegas last weekend, NXT head honcho Shawn Michaels shared a quick bit of footage that showed he & the Bruiserweight talking over what we’d guess was a match spot for Friday’s Worlds Collide show.

The 31-year-old Englishman was one of the biggest stars of the 2010s “BritWres” bomb, and was the centerpiece of WWE NXT’s pre-COVID expansion efforts in the United Kingdom. Since being moved to the main roster in 2022, Dunne been on television fairly consistently (mostly as Sheamus’ angry sidekick “Butch”). But there’s been little sign he’d come anywhere near the main event as a singles wrester on Raw or SmackDown. He and Bate were positioned as a tag team last year before Tyler tore his pec. Now WWE has them playing Americanos.

We’ll leave it you to judge whether that’s good or bad. Just wanted to let you know that Dunne’s working in another role and not just playing one in a set of (kinda) matching luchadors.
