You probably know how this would work but quickly, when you type '@' it would create a popup of the names of users and filter them based on the characters after the '@'. Maybe it doesn't even spawn until you have typed in at least a character or two.<br /></p><p>There is a <a class="wiki" href="/wiki/BuddyPress">BuddyPress</a> plugin that does exactly this: <a href="<a class="ext-link" href="http://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-labs/"><span class="icon"></span>http://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-labs/</a>">BP Labs</a>. But it does not extend to the BBPress forums.
