  15. <description><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" src="https://www.njspls.org/resource/resmgr/images/njng.jpg" /></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong>NJSPLS Central Jersey Chapter Assists with Layout for the 2022 Boy Scouts of America Camporee at National Guard Training Center </strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><span style="font-size: 16px;">By Alan Rissmiller, PLS, PE</span></em><br /> </p> <p><span style="font-size: 18px;">The Boy Scouts of America, in conjunction with the New Jersey National Guard and the New Jersey State Police, held their sixth Camporee at the New Jersey National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt on June 3-5. More than 3,900 scouts and their leaders from more than 220 scouting units throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania attended the event.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 18px;">On May 31 the Central Jersey Chapter of NJSPLS, under the direction of Alan Rissmiller worked with Jason Pierson, Kody Huffer, Jackson Pierson, Joe Lazok of East Coast Engineering, Brian McLaughlin of R .J. Burdick, Ken Frank and Don Cashour to stake out the campsites. Office calculations were provided by Tom Murphy of Paulus, Sokolowski &amp; Sartor and Chris Irons of the Ocean County Engineering Department provided drafting of the plans. Also assisting with the project were Joseph Antonino of the Jersey Shore Council, BSA and Archer Jones of the New Jersey State Police. The following three days volunteers labeled the corners and numbered the campsites.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 18px;">This was the fifth Camporee to take place at the Sea Girt Training Center. The one scheduled for 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic. The members of the Central Jersey Chapter look forward to this every few years and the scouts are appreciative of their efforts. </span></p>]]></description>
