The Institute&#8217;s key focus is to help Christian teachers and school leaders develop in their capacity to educate from a biblical perspective. NICE is wholly owned by Christian Education National (CEN).</p>

  119. <p>The National Institute is seeking a highly motivated and appropriately qualified Academic Administration Coordinator. The role is a part-time appointment, equivalent to 3 days week, the preference is to spread the hours over 4 days. Hours and days are negotiable.</p>

  275. <figure class="wp-block-table"><table><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>It is with great pleasure that we announce that Sam Burrows will be joining the CEN Staff Team in 2024 as the Director of Professional Learning.</strong></td></tr><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td>Sam may be very familiar to many of you as a speaker at many of our conferences and has taken up the opportunity to work with CEN on a two year contract, commencing in January, 2024.<br>Sam brings a wealth of knowledge into the Professional Learning space, and will also be assisting The National Institute for Christian Education as a Lecturer.<br><br><strong>About Sam</strong><br>Sam has had a range of experience in education and church leadership, including teaching in Christian and state schools in New Zealand, a role as a deputy principal and working in young adults ministry. He has been also been on staff at Saint Augustine&#8217;s Anglican Church as part of the preaching team and youth ministry. Since 2020 he has worked as a lecturer at Laidlaw College in Auckland, teaching a mixture of theology and education papers. Sam also completed a Masters of Theology in 2022, with a thesis that explored trends in current faith and spirituality. He is passionate about the way that theology can speak to pedagogy, epistemology, and culture, and is excited about the this new role with CEN and the ways that he could contribute to the network in this next chapter.<br><br>Please pray for Sam as he makes the necessary arrangements to migrate across “the ditch” in January. We know that our community will make him very welcome.</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

  303. <p><strong>About Mark</strong><br>Mark started his career in Human Resources after qualifying as an industrial psychologist.He then consulted for an organisation working in the criminal justice system in South Africabefore starting his own strategic planning company. In 2004, Mark and his familyimmigrated to Australia, where he spent a season as the CEO at Swan Christian EducationAssociation in Perth. Mark has been the CEO at Rehoboth Christian College, Perth, for thepast 16 years. Mark is married to Sharon who is a Medical Secretary, and they have two sonsand a daughter-in-law who live in Melbourne.</p>
