49.

Hello everyone.

I need to work out a way for users to draw linework into a hosted feature layer as well as edit that linework (extend a piece of linework by adding vertices).

It would be preferable to perform this on a computer via a web map (Arc Pro not available) but their would be the possibility to do the task on an iPad via field maps.

I have worked out how to use the edit tool inside a web map, to create a new feature (piece of linework) but is their a way to edit an existing piece of linework and add more vertices to extend the line, rather than just adding a second line to make the original one longer.

 58.

Hi

I created a story collection consisting of 12 web applications with tabbed navigation. However, when opening each web map application, it takes approximately 10 seconds to display the contents.

To address this, I replaced the hosted feature layers with tile packages to enhance performance. While this improved performance when zooming in on the web application, the initial opening time remains around 10 seconds. Additionally, I removed widgets to boost performance, but the opening time persists.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you may have to enhance the performance when opening each web app in the story collection.

 85.

Hi all,

I have successfully installed ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 on a single machine on a Production server. It has GIS Server, Portal, Data Store (relational and tile cache), 2 web adaptors, and Image Server. It has a CA-signed Certificate on all of the apps and is open to the public through an F5 and using DNS address and Portal is configured to use a WebContext URL.

I am now setting up a GIS development server. I am going to install ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1. However, in dev I'm not going to have a CA-signed certificate, nor is it going to be open to the public through the F5 or have a DNS address.

So what are my steps in this scenario? For example, I am to the step that says "enable HTTPS on your web server" so in Prod I used the CA-signed certificate. What do I do here? Maybe I don't do this step?

And later when I used the DNS address in Prod, I think here I would just use the machine name.

I appreciate any help and ideas. Thanks!

 112.

I have created a Survey123 Connect form to collect information on features in Field Maps. The setting options in the survey do not allow new surveys to be collected. and enable the sent folder. The inbox is not enabled.

After a survey is created and submitted for a feature. I can click on my button in Field Maps for the feature that connects to the survey123 connect form. When I open it, I see the data that was entered and submitted previously. I can fill in new information in the survey form and send and that information overwrites the information that was previously in those fields.

I want a user to fill in fields in a Survey123 Form, submit, and then not be able to resubmit for the at feature. I don't want the fields to be overwritten. What am I doing incorrectly. I thought not checking the Allow new surveys to be collected in the options of the setting, would not allow submitted surveys to be overwritten, but that is what is happening.

Thank you for any assistance!

 166.

Hello,

If I understand it correctly, it's better to use ITRF2020 rather than e.g. WGS84 or ETRS89 for field data acquisition purposes, due to better accuracy. That's what one of my clients has suggested recently anyway, to which I couldn't really say no. However, at the same time, the acquired data need to be projected to a local UTM and displayed with meters instead of degrees.

I have multiple legacy shapefiles and other data which have the ETRS89 UTMXX projection. I can't seem to find an easy way to reproject these layers to ITRF2020 UTMXX. ITRF2020 is available in ArcGIS Pro under geographic coordinate systems only, not projected. Should I use some custom transformation?

 175.

Hello, so i have recently started working with ArcGIS Pro. However it has been causing a problem which has confused me. My previous laptop started having display issues on startup so i bought a new machine (Asus TUF 15 gaming laptop 16GB RAM) considering that the previous one is too old for the software. After a couple of days my new device is also showing similar issues in the display. The GPU drivers gets disabled automatically and on startup there is no display currently. Please note that i have used other simulation software such as HEC-RAS and FLOW3D and have never faced any issue like this. I am unsure what mistake i am making while using the software or saving its files. Any help is appreciated. Thankyou.
