47.

The Successful Network Marketing System… Have You Found It?The Network Marketing System, or “System”, as we like to call them in the network marketing profession have become the cornerstone to real network marketing success. It’s true; every leader is always pitching their “network marketing system” as the perfect one. The one that is finally going to help you create the online success you have been dying to achieve. As a network marketer, you know how valuable finding the proper one is. But what do you look for while seeking the one that is best for you? There are so many options out there to choose from, so, what’s the best one? That’s a really good question… The best answer I can come up with is that one network marketing system will work best for one particular company and may not be so great for another. The fact is we live in a very diverse world. There is no one network marketing system that is perfect for any company. Eventually, it will be discovered that something is simply missing for the needs of a particular company where it meets all the needs and expectations of another. There is a lot of grey area in-between.So let’s check out three important factors in what to look for in…The Successful Network Marketing System. The first one we’ll touch on is..1. EASE OF USE – does it play nice?Let’s face it, we all want things that make our lives easier. If we get bogged down with complexity, we’re bound to lose interest fast. Also, it’s very important that as we bring other network marketers into our organization and want to give them the proper tools for success, they will need something that has a short learning curve and most importantly, is easily duplicated.A formula of successful duplication is key to any successful network marketing system. Without it, a new user is going to grow frustrated quickly. If they don’t simply give up and quit, they will start to do things outside of the proven success formula that will soon lead them to certain failure. They will lose valuable money, time and possibly respect for you if you are the one who got them involved with such a complicated system. Eventually, they will likely quit, and you will be at risk of becoming part of their new story about their experience in network marketing, and why it doesn’t work. Network marketing systems that have “Ease of use”, are integral to your success, your team’s success and ultimately, the success of your business. While working in corporate America, I used a very well known “system” that my employer provided. The system had to be heavily manipulated in order to get the result I was looking for and to stay on focus with the company identity. It was a generic system that could literally be dispatched in any field of business because it was generic. It was simply a system, for the sake of having a system. The creator of the system boasted of its versatility, and it really is when properly pre-setup. But leaving it up to each user to manipulate the system simply caused frustration. It was mandatory to use this system yet many employees would eventually decide to risk reprimand for not using it rather than trying to make nice with it anymore. The next successful network marketing system factor is…2. FOCUS – will it be consistent in branding – you? This really comes down to the internal tools that the network marketing system employs and makes fully available to you, the end user. Is it directly focused on what your business is or is it generic? Will it assist you in specifically targeting the niches you are going after? Since we rarely have complete control over the system our company provides, does the system support your exact marketing focus? In other words, if you are selling product #1, does it provide support (i.e. pre-made templates, campaigns, etc.) specifically for product #1 or is it vague in its focus? And if your business has several products, will it do the same for each product consistently? Does it create and provide consistency with your growing brand? And the third successful network marketing system factor is…3. PRICE – will it drain your wallet before you can use it?Does paying more for something necessarily mean that it’s going to be better? Let’s say you want to remodel your kitchen. You should always get at minimum, 3 estimates and always ask for references of each contractor. Often times, the higher priced contractor will be reluctant to give you their references yet they are the one to put on the most pressure to get you sign on the dotted line today to have them do the work. Why is this? Because quite often, they know that they have over promised and under delivered their customers. They have zero confident in the kind of recommendation their past customer may give. All too often people think the phrase; “You Get What You Pay For” is gospel. So they go with the higher priced contractor thinking they are going to get the best work done, when the contractor who charged in the middle has created such a loyal and devoted customer base because of his superb craftsmanship, he realizes charging more, doesn’t always equate to more money. Having multiple referrals and repeat customers who really do the selling for him does. He knows exactly what his customers are saying about him and he happily gives you as many references as you would like. Will you get huge value out of your brand new network marketing system at its basic level? Or will you need to upgrade in order for it to start assisting you to produce the desired results? This is a common problem found with many network marketing systems out there as well.Often heard:”Join our business for as little as $__.__ and use our high tech, industry leading network marketing system to catapult your business into success you’ve never thought possible!”Within minutes of processing your payment you’re being told that in order to get the maximum results from the network marketing system you just bought, you will need to upgrade! Or you’re being pitched on four other money making opportunities to join which in turn, breaks the basic fundamentals of factor #1!FACT: Your new network marketing system should be ready made to get you going and start being profitable quickly, at any level of entry. The only reason to upgrade would be to put you in a position to PROFIT EVEN MORE! It should be there as a tool to success and not a distraction from it. It needs to be simple yet full featured and allows you to focus on becoming profitable, NOT trying to figure out how to use it. You control it, not the other way around. The best network marketing system is the system that will be working for you even… when you’re not working! If there was such a network marketing system that was very easy to use, maintained focus and consistently branded you, had a very low acquisition cost and could get you making money quickly? That would be one powerful network marketing system! If you actually owned this system and other people wanted access to it so that they could experience the same benefits? But the only way they could, was to get it directly from you? Even if they didn’t join your network marketing opportunity, they could still get the system from you and you would still make money without them joining? Now that would be an extremely powerful network marketing system!

 75.

Anyone can teach. We teach each other every day. For example, we give instructions to each other for such things as cooking, putting together furniture, and completing household other tasks. However, teaching someone is different than the process of educating someone. Consider the difference between informal learning and formal learning. An example of informal learning would be following a recipe to learn how to cook. In contrast, formal learning occurs within a classroom and usually is accompanied by evaluation and assessment. It may seem that teaching and educating are the same thing; however, the difference has to do with the place or context for learning. This is the same distinction can be made for teaching informally (giving instructions) and teaching students in a formal classroom environment. A person enters the field of education as a profession – either full time in traditional academic institutions or as an adjunct (or part time) instructor. The reasons vary for why someone would choose to be in the classroom. A traditional full time professor may likely be responsible for conducting research, teaching, and publishing scholarly work. An adjunct instructor may teach in a community college, traditional college, or an online school. When someone teaches students in higher education he or she may be called a facilitator, instructor, or professor. This is important as there isn’t a job with the word educator in the title. The questions I would like to answer include: What then does it mean to be an educator? Does it signify something different than the assigned job title? What I have learned through my work in higher education is that becoming an educator is not an automatic process. Everyone who is teaching adult students is not functioning as an engaging and highly effective educator. However, it is possible to learn how to educate rather than teach and that requires making a commitment to the profession. What Does It Mean to Teach?Consider teaching as part of the system of traditional, primary education. Those classes are teacher-led and children as students are taught what and how to learn. The teacher is considered to be the expert and directs the learning process. A teacher is someone who is highly trained and works to engage the minds of his or her students. This style of teacher-led instructional continues into higher education, specifically traditional college classrooms. The teacher still stands at the front and center of the class delivering information, and students are used to this format because of their experience in primary education. The instructor disseminates knowledge through a lecture and students study to pass the required examinations or complete other required learning activities.Within higher education, teachers may be called instructors and they are hired as subject matter experts with advanced content knowledge. The job requirements usually include holding a specific number of degree hours in the subject being taught. Teachers may also be called professors in traditional college classes, and those positions require a terminal degree with additional research requirements. For all of these roles, teaching is meant to signify someone who is guiding the learning process by directing, telling, and instructing students. The instructor or professor is in charge, and the students must comply and follow as directed. Here is something to consider: If that is the essence of teaching, is there a difference between that and educating students? Is the role of a teacher the same as that of an educator? What Does It Mean to be an Educator?Consider some basic definitions to begin with as a means of understanding the role of an educator. The word “education” refers to giving instruction; “educator” refers to the person who provides instruction and is someone who is skilled in teaching; and teaching is aligned with providing explanations. I have expanded upon these definitions so that the word “educator” includes someone who is skilled with instruction, possesses highly developed academic skills, and holds both subject matter knowledge and knowledge of adult education principles.Skilled with Instruction: An educator is someone who should be skilled in the art of classroom instruction, knowing what instructional strategies are effective and the areas of facilitation that need further development. An experienced educator develops methods that will bring course materials to life by adding relevant context and prompting students to learn through class discussions and other learning activities. Instruction also includes all of the interactions held with students, including all forms of communication, as every interaction provides an opportunity for teaching.Highly Developed Academic Skills: An educator must also have strong academic skills and at the top of that list are writing skills. This requires strong attention to detail on the part of the educator and in all forms of messages communicated, including anything written, presented, and sent via email. The ability to demonstrate strong academic skills is especially important for anyone who is teaching online classes as words represent the instructor. The use of proper formatting guidelines, according to the style prescribed by the school, is also included in the list of critical academic skills. For example, many schools have implemented APA formatting guidelines as the standard for formatting papers and working with sources. An educator cannot adequately guide students and provide meaningful feedback if the writing style has not been mastered.Strong Knowledge Base: An educator needs to develop a knowledge base that contains subject matter expertise, as related to the course or courses they are teaching, along with knowledge of adult education principles. I know of many educators who have the required credit hours on their degree transcripts, yet they may not have extensive experience in the field they teach. This will still allow these educators to teach the course, provided that they take time to read the course textbook and find methods of applying it to current practices within the field. Many schools hire adjuncts with extensive work experience as the primary criteria, rather than knowledge of adult learning principles. Those instructors I have worked with who do have a strong adult education knowledge base generally acquired it through ongoing professional development. That was my goal, when I decided on a major for my doctoral degree, to understand how adults learn so that I could transform from an instructor to an educator.Becoming an Engaging and Highly Effective EducatorI do not believe that many instructors intentionally consider the need to make a transformation from working as an instructor to functioning as an educator. When someone is hired to teach a class, someone other than a traditional college professor, they often learn through practice and time what works well in the classroom. There will likely be classroom audits and recommendations made for ongoing professional development. Gradually the typical instructor will become an educator as they seek out resources to help improve their teaching practices. However, I have worked with many adjunct online instructors who rely on their subject matter expertise alone and do not believe there is a reason to grow as an educator. For anyone who would like to make the transformation and become an engaging and highly effective educator, there are steps that can be taken and practices that can be implemented.Step One: Continue to Develop Your Instructional PracticeWhile any educator can learn through time on the job, it is possible to become intentional about this growth. There are numerous online resources, publications, workshops, webinars, and professional groups that would allow you to learn new methods, strategies, and practices. There are also social media websites such as LinkedIn and Twitter that allow for the exchange of ideas and resources within a global community of educators. You can also utilize self-reflection as a means of gauging your effectiveness. I have found that the best time to review my instructional practice occurs immediately after a class concludes. That is a time when I can assess the strategies I have used and determine if those methods were effective. Even reviewing end of course student surveys may provide insight into the perspective of my students.Step Two: Continue to Develop Your Academic SkillsI know from my work with online faculty development that this is an area of development that many educators could use. However, it is often viewed as a low priority – until it is noted in classroom audits. If an educator has weak academic writing skills, it will interfere with their ability to provide comprehensive feedback for students. For online instructors, that has an even greater impact when posted messages contain errors with spelling, grammar, and formatting. The development of academic skills can be done through the use of online resources or workshops. Many online schools I have worked for offer faculty workshops and this is a valuable self-development resource.Step Three: Continue to Develop Your Subject Matter ExpertiseEvery educator has subject matter expertise that they can draw upon. However, the challenge is keeping that knowledge current as you continue to teach for several years. The best advice I can offer is to find resources that allow you to read and learn about current thinking, research, and best practices in your chosen field. This is essential to your instructional practice as students can ascertain whether you appear to be current in your knowledge, or outdated and seemingly out of touch. Even the use of required textbooks does not ensure that you are utilizing the most current information as knowledge evolves quickly in many fields.Step Four: Continue to Develop Your Knowledge of Adult LearningThe last step or strategy that I can recommend is to gain knowledge about adult learning theories, principles, and practices. If you are not familiar with the basics there are concepts you can research and include critical thinking, andragogy, self-directed learning, transformational learning, learning styles, motivation, and cognition. My suggestion is to find and read online sources related to higher education and then find a subject that interests you to research further. I have found that the more I read about topics I enjoy, the more I am cultivating my interest in ongoing professional development. What you will likely find is that what you learn will have a positive influence on your work as an educator and will enhance all areas of your instructional practice.Working as an educator, or someone who is highly engaged in the process of helping students learn, starts with a commitment to make this a career rather than a job. I have developed a vision related to how I want to be involved in each class I teach and I recommend the same strategy for you. You may find it useful to develop teaching goals for your career and link your classroom performance to those goals. For example, do you want to complete the required facilitation tasks or would you rather put in the additional time necessary to create nurturing class conditions? After developing a vision and teaching goals, you can create a professional development plan to prompt your learning and growth in all of the areas I have addressed above. While this strategy may require an investment of time, it is helpful to remember that we always make time for whatever we believe is most important. Being an educator is not sustaining a focus on job functions, rather it is cultivating a love of what you do and learning how to excel for the benefit of your students. Becoming an engaging and highly effective educator occurs when you decide that teaching students is only part of the learning process, and you work to transform who you are and how you function, while working and interacting with your students.

 106.

In today’s economy, many people are experiencing money troubles. With unemployment still high and prices rising, people are faced with difficult choices. If you find yourself in need of cash, you may want to turn to a fast loan. The article below has some great information about payday loans. If you need a payday loan and are self-employed, you should find out all the information you will need for a successful loan application. Lenders handle self-employment differently. Consider calling up customer support and get a person to assist you in filling out this paperwork so that you won’t make any errors.Ask all the questions that you have prior to accepting any loan. It is very important that you know all that is required of you in a payday loan contract. Ask all the questions that you have, so that nothing surprises you later on.When you’re choosing which loan company to go with, make sure you do your research. Among the wide field of lenders offering this service, some are more equitable than others. You want to deal with an above-board company whose reputation for treating debtors fairly can be be verified. Search for reviews from previous borrowers for more information. If you are sure you want quick access to a payday loan, find a lender in your area and handle this transaction in person, as opposed to using an online lender. Online loans can take up to 48 hours to process, whereas if you apply in person you may be good to go in less than an hour.Take the time to research other options before you apply for a payday loan. Even with cash advances on credit cards, it won’t have an interest rate as much as a payday loan. Speak with your loved ones and ask for assistance. When you need a loan, the modern way to handle it is to take care of the details on the Internet. Find a reputable, trustworthy company that comes highly recommended by someone you trust, or multiple reviews across the Internet. Most likely, you will just need to complete an online application on the lender’s website, and give them twenty four hours to approve you.Avoid locating lenders through affiliate marketers, who are being paid for their services. It might show as if they work from one state, but the lender they’re connecting you with operates outside the country. This can greatly increase the cost that is being passed to you for the loan. You should only use payday loans during a time of crisis. For instance, do not use a payday loan for clothing or a vacation. Interest rates could be high and you will be paying a lot of money for something that is not important to begin with. You need to make sure you’re going with a very reputable loan company. Some companies are so low that they hire vicious debt collectors who even threaten violence when you’re late on paying back your loan. Loan companies with good reputation will only charge you a higher fee if you do not repay the loan on time. When you look into securing a payday loan, some lenders will present you with interest rates and fees that can amount to over a fifth of the principal amount you are borrowing. These are lenders to avoid as rates are quite high, but they should never be higher than this benchmark.Don’t lie on your payday loan forms. As long as your information is accurate and up-to-date and you have a reliable source of income, you application will probably be approved. You will likely compromise your ability to get loans in the future, as well.If you routinely use payday loans to make ends meet, you may need to seek additional financial help or education. These loans are for emergencies only and extremely expensive, so you are not managing your money properly if you get them regularly.Your loan application might not be accepted if your usual paycheck is not sufficient to cover the amount of money you borrow. You may need to seek out alternative options to get more cash. Trying to get a loan you can’t easily pay back will start a vicious cycle.Make sure to be mindful of the high interest rates that come with payday loans. Trustworthy companies will inform you of the interest rate charged. When you apply for a loan, always think about the interest rate and determine how much it might be worth for you.For many, payday loans might be the only option to get out of financial emergencies. Know the options available to you as you explore a payday loan possibility. Keep in mind that you need to find a better solution to improve your situation on the long term.

 146.

Islamic Finance is a big new area of interest for banks and financial services. Not only does it offer opportunities for new products and services, but it is also one of the fastest growing areas of finance. Despite the global economic slowdown, analysts estimate that the market for Islamic assets will grow by 10 to 15 percent in 2009. While this is not as fast as the 20 to 30 percent growth experienced in 2008, it nonetheless is an important opportunity for banks, particularly in Hong Kong. Hong Kong has made a point of being an attractive destination for investors and marketing participants of Islamic Finance. With a worldwide market size of US$400 billion and no clear leader in the market for Islamic Finance, Hong Kong stands to gain considerably from boosting its market presence, infrastructure and capabilities in this area. While Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and London all have sizeable markets for Shariah products, no one can claim global leadership in Islamic Finance. And with over 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, this is an important and growing market that no financial center can afford to ignore. Islamic law (Shariah) prohibits taking or giving interest (Riba) which is the most essential feature of Islamic banking. Because of this, other approaches such as profit-sharing and fee-based financing have developed to comply Shariah laws. These special modes of financing have emerged in retail, private and commercial banking for debt and capital markets, insurance, asset management, structured finance, project finance, derivatives, and other areas. To capture this opportunity, it is important that market participants in Hong Kong are well-trained and properly versed on the intricacies of Islamic Finance.Broadly, Shariah investing prohibits taking or paying interest (Riba), speculative transactions or gambling (Masir), selling something with uncertain contract terms or which you do no own (Gharar), and investments in businesses that have non-Islamic behaviors (such as businesses dealing in alcohol, drugs, gambling, weapons, and so on). Financial services companies that want to get into the Islamic Finance market need to ensure that their staff members are trained on the fundamentals of:Bai’ al-inah- sale and buy-back
148. Ijarah – leasing
154. Takaful – Islamic insurance
155. Jualah – service charges
156. Kafalah – guarantee
157. Qard – loans
158. Wakala – AgencyIn addition to developing domestic business, Hong Kong can be seen as a gateway to China for Islamic Finance. With the large number of petrodollars and Chinese sovereign funds looking for investments, the creates a unique opportunity for Hong Kong (which is the fund-raising platform for Chinese companies outside of the China).Hong Kong has already developed financial products that are Shariah compliant and has several tracker funds and exchangeable sukuks in its markets. While proven structures will continue to flourish in a the Islamic Finance market, there are signs that some of the more sophisticated originators and investors are looking for more value-added and innovative structures. As a center for financial innovation in Asia, Hong Kong is well-positioned to capture this opportunity. However, my analysis shows that Hong Kong’s banks and financial services firms do not have the human capital, skills or knowledge to truly engage in the Islamic Finance market. Banks should therefore invest in broad-based employee training initiatives so that their staff understands the market opportunity and potential approaches to Islamic Finance. This can only be done if top leaders truly believe in the potential for Shariah compliant products and embrace effective training as a way to drive change.
