23.

"The Inquisitor" is a game that got me knee deep into it's world because
24.
25. 1. It looks like you do some Bladerunning/Snatcher/Rise of Dragon investigation.
26. 2. There is some meleee combat like Zelda in a world like Zelda.
27. 3. The world is literally like some bad-arse "Berserker", detective, thing.
28. But there is an actual world.
29.
30. You walk around the world, filled with horny girls, who are clearly comming and
31. going standing still. Different age ranges and healths.
32.
33. The entire game is literally what Morel Orel ( from "Morel Orel" ) would be playing right now.
34. It is the perfect game for somebody who comes from a Christian family while anybody could pick up
35. and play this game, only few will undersrtand how relatable it is to real life.
36.
37. Imagine your walking outside, and a tall Anne ofGreen Gables and her friend presents themelves to you, and romantically ask you "Want to go to Church". Your heart is pounding that this prudish girl, is targeting you. Then you go to"Church and turns out to be some kind of Vampire orgy ( like that sprinkler cene from blade ).
38.
39. Everybody speaks old-english. There is no diffference between this game and the real world.
40. It is like Zelda and Hyule is a real place and not just a Castle and small towns spread out.
41.
42. Then goes that man who stole from your father. What will you do with him.
43. He has the knife behind him ready to stab you the moment you make a wrong
44. choice.
45.
46. This game does not hold back. With some mods the locknore trophy could literally be the locknore truophy. You will smile non-stop.
47.
48. Did I mention the vampires. We hunt vampires. In the name of JC. You know those Vampires who were happy JC was hung like at the end of "Passion of C".
49.
50. You need something actually has something if anything fictional to do with religion.
51. Forget about that god-boy series who goes from state to state. Pick up the
52.
53. Because you are Batman .... no wait your the Inquisitor.!!!!!!
54.
55. Go play the demo at least. You will not be dissapointed.

 68.

Hello! I'm an old member of this forum from several years ago, and revived my account to ask a few questions...
69.
70. I have a SNES PowerPak that I bought roughly 15 years ago (yikes) that I accidentally bricked while trying to a firmware update that failed, and it no longer boots up. I did some research, and according to this forum post it looks like it can be fixed by removing the boot ROM chip (if socketed) and reflashing it with the updated firmware. I opened up the cart shell and looking at the PCB, it looks like the boot ROM chip is socketed?
71.
72. <img src="https://forum.digitpress.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=11131&d=1711316103&thumb=1" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version.

 78.
79. Is there anyone here who has the equipment needed to reflash the firmware onto this flash cart and get it working again? Alternatively, can anyone point me to where I can get the equipment needed to do this myself? I admit, I have no experience with programming and other similar stuff, so if that knowledge is required, I'm hopeless.
80.
81. Of course, the best solution would be to just get another SNES flashcart. I bought an original Super EverDrive some years ago to replace the PowerPak, but it can't play any enhancement chip games. The PowerPak could play DSP1 games, at least. If it turns out I can't get the PowerPak fixed, I'll probably just save up to get an FXPak Pro. I wanted to at least try to get the PowerPak fixed first!
82.
83. Sorry for the rambling, and thanks in advance!

 133.

My sons are getting old enough that they enjoy watching pro wrestling these days. New, old, whatever they can, especially gimmick matches get them riled up. This got us busting out wrestling games. They enjoyed the N64 Aki games the most to play, but my oldest boy has gotten really into the Fire Pro Wrestling Returns custom editing on PS2.
134.
135. I showed him all of my customs I made of classic WWF, and ECW guys years ago, and he had me make a Cactus Jack last night. It got me thinking: Did anyone else really get into that scene? I remember a time when there was a pretty big community doing custom belts, feds, and wrestlers everwhere, and I wondered if anyone here was/is a fan of doing that stuff?

 162.

A few weeks back I started a re-play of Thief Gold from Looking Glass Studios.
163.
164. Had played Thief (the original release), and then Thief Gold, long ago. I think I played Thief right at release - I remember a roommate in college downloading the demo and being amazed, and then going out and getting the full release. Then got Gold sometime thereafter ('99? 2000?) and played it again. Haven't touched it since.
165.
166. Last year I played the 2014 Thief and was underwhelmed. The same tools (rope, water, noise arrows, etc.), but very limited places to use them and a heavy emphasis on "controllable cut-scenes" where you are effectively running on rails.
167.
168. Wanted to revisit the original to understand why I fell in love with the series in the first place - and it was refreshing. Wide open levels, with lots of choices about where and how to use your tools - there is a lot of "game" here, it's not just an interactive movie. Tons of secrets to discover. Snarky commentary from the main character to inject a little personality into it. Level designs are memorable - going again to these places even 20 years later was like going back to a favorite place; it's amazing how they injected a real sense of design into the 3D environment.
169.
170. Can't help but feel that we've lost something in the intervening time. The graphics are better, but that's not resulting in more fun - more player freedom, choice, agency. PC games used to be great in that they'd give you a set of options and then give you a big playground to go wild with them - there is some of that these days (Minecraft, Palworld, etc.) but I'm not sure other games give you that same set of freedom like the old Thief did.
171.
172. On a side note...I'm not sure that Gold was actually a huge improvement over the original, now that I revisit it. They have more broad and open levels (the Mage Tower, for example) but I'm not sure these additions are as refined - the broad, open spaces in the Mage Tower, for example, made it a little too easy to sneak around.
173.
174. I am now getting into Thief 3 (Deadly Shadows) and it's also a bit lackluster...but I should go back and see if I can round out the trilogy, put it to rest. Then I want to go into some of the fan missions for Thief / Thief 2 which I hear are really amazing - ex: The Black Parade, which recently released, is getting rave reviews.
