Share This article It’s been over a year and a half since the Xbox One and PS4 first debuted here in the U.S. In that time, they’ve both earned their keep as the bearer of current-generation game consoles. Microsoft realized some months after release that it needed a $400, price-competitive version with the PS4 that lacked the Kinect camera, and has since remedied what was once a bit of a lopsided, apples-and-oranges comparison. Since then, both the Xbox One and PS4 have sold pretty well, with the edge on Sony’s side — although January’s $50 price cut for the Kinect-less Xbox One is helping Microsoft catch up. That said, how do they directly compare with each other in 2015? If you’re thinking about buying one of these two consoles–or just want ammunition for bragging rights–here’s what you need to know. One note before we get started: Unlike all previous console generations, the PS4 and Xbox One are almost identical hardware-wise. With an x86 AMD APU at the heart of each, the Sony and Microsoft consoles are essentially PCs — and their hardware specs, and thus relative performance, can be compared in the same way you would compare two x86-based laptops or ARM-based Android tablets. Read on for our Xbox One-versus-PS4 hardware specs comparison. PS4 vs. Xbox One: CPUs compared For the PS4 and Xbox One, Microsoft and Sony both opted for a semi-custom AMD APU — a 28nm part fabricated by TSMC that features an eight-core Jaguar CPU, paired with a Radeon 7000-series GPU. (We’ll discuss the GPU in the next section.) The PS4 and Xbox One CPU is virtually identical, except the Xbox One is clocked at 1.75GHz, while the PS4 is at 1.6GHz. The Jaguar CPU core itself isn’t particularly exciting. In PCs, Jaguar is used in AMD’s Kabini and Temash parts, which were aimed at laptops and tablets respectively. If you’re looking for a tangible comparison, CPUs based on the Jaguar core are roughly comparable to Intel’s Bay Trail Atom. With eight cores (as opposed to two or four in a regular Kabini-Temash setup), both the PS4 and Xbox One will have quite a lot of CPU power on tap. The large core count allows both consoles to excel at multitasking — important for modern living room and media center use cases, and doubly so for the Xbox One, which runs two different operating systems side-by-side. Ultimately, though, despite the Xbox One having a slightly faster CPU, it makes little difference to either console’s relative games performance. PS4 vs. Xbox One: GPUs compared Again, by virtue of being an AMD APU, the Xbox One and PS4 GPUs are technologically very similar — with the simple difference that the PS4 GPU is larger . In PC terms, the Xbox One has a GPU that’s similar to the entry-level Bonaire GPU in the older Radeon HD 7790, while the PS4 is outfitted with the midrange Pitcairn that can be found in the HD 7870. In numerical terms, the Xbox One GPU has 12 compute units (768 shader processors), while the PS4 has 18 CUs (1152 shaders). The Xbox One is slightly ahead on GPU clock speed (853MHz vs. 800MHz for the PS4).

Primary Software: TestStand Primary Software Version: 2012 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Problem: When using the built-in switching functions in TestStand, I see a Windows firewall warning referencing either the TestStand Sequence Editor or the ExternalSessionServer Module. Why am I receiving this warning? Solution: This warning occurs because NI Switch Executive is attempting to open a port to communicate debug information to the debug panel included with Switch Executive. See the NI Switch Executive Help for more information about the purpose of the debug panel. To prevent the dialog from appearing in the future, you can explicitly grant the TestStand process access to this port by clicking the Allow Access button on the dialog, or deny access by configuring your firewall to prohibit access to this port from the TestStand process. TestStand and Switch Executive switching operations are not affected by whether you choose to grant or deny access to the debug port.

With Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Rockstar has once again revisited a previous title's setting. Vice City Stories takes place two years prior to the events of the original PlayStation 2 game, and essentially works as some sort of an introduction to GTA: Vice City. It's a much bigger game in almost every way than the first GTA Stories release, Liberty City Stories, though once again the PlayStation 2 port of the PSP game does nothing to take advantage of the system's stronger hardware. Still though, it's Grand Theft Auto through and through. By that we mean that while things have been cleaned up or expanded a bit here or there from Liberty City Stories, it's still largely the same game that we first saw with Grand Theft Auto III. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but if you've begun to grow tired of the franchise's mechanics, mission structure or overall feel, this won't renew your love of the series. In fact, after remembering our time with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, we can't help but feel that Vice City Stories isn't quite everything it could be. Sure, the handheld version was a big technical improvement over Liberty City Stories, but there's nothing substantially new to the series here and once again it comes off feeling weak on the PlayStation 2. We suppose that'll have to wait for Grand Theft Auto IV, and we're more than willing to hold our breath, but it seems like this would be the perfect platform, literally and figuratively speaking, for some new experimentation. Being able to swim this time out is nice, but we've seen that before and it really just feels like we're getting something back that we've already had. As mentioned, Vice City Stories makes a number of technical improvements over what we saw with Liberty City Stories last year. The framerate has been improved a bit, maybe not leaps and bounds on average, but it's a little steadier than last time out. It's certainly not perfect, as the game does chug a bit here and there, but we suppose that's the case with most games in the series. There's a little more detail to be seen in nearly every facet of the game - from the characters to vehicles to the environments, Vice City Stories is a more intricate looking title than the last title.

Highrise returns in the year 2054 with three other new multiplayer maps featuring the Exo Grapple mechanic. Also, EXO Zombies Saga continues in Carrier with Bruce Campbell joining the cast to fight off a horde of undead. Similar to the release of previous Call of Duty Advanced Warfare DLC packs, Xbox Live customers can get to start playing the new expansion on June 2 while PlayStation and PC users have to wait a month longer. According to Express Co.UK, the four new maps included in 'Supremacy DLC' of the title are described as follows: Parliament: Docked on the River Thames, this military cargo ship delivers a view of the London cityscape along with a fast-paced combat experience. Mixed site-lines provide opportunities for all styles of play to dominate this medium-sized map. Kremlin: Gamers must prepare for intense combat outside Russia's presidential palace in the new map Kremlin, as they navigate the worn-torn buildings of Red Square in this medium-sized, three-lane map. Compound: Players take combat preparation to the limit in an Atlas training facility hidden away in the Colorado wilderness, as they'll have to be quick on the trigger in this small, symmetrical map, which funnels high-speed combat through tight corners to the main tower structures. Skyrise: Players deploy to an Atlas Skyscraper overlooking the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. Based on the fan-favourite, Highrise, from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by Infinity Ward, this map brings new exoskeleton mechanics to the classic multiplayer layout. he four are left stranded on an Atlas aircraft carrier which has some advanced new weaponry, enemy Atlas Strike teams, Sentinel support squads and a horde of new zombie enemies. Michael Condrey, Co-Founder and Studio Head, Sledgehammer Games reveals the details of the upcoming Call of Duty Advanced Warfare DLC as saying, "Set against iconic landmarks, Supremacy takes players across the world in some of our most exciting maps to date. New and exciting vertical routes give players unique ways to dominate the battle through both the exo movement set and the new Exo Grapple ability." "We are also thrilled to reimagine one of the most popular Call of Duty maps ever, Modern Warfare® 2's Highrise, with exo and grapple gameplay for fans to enjoy." "This is not only the four new multiplayer maps, but the continuation of the popular Exo Zombies saga. We're huge fans of Bruce Campbell and to be able to add him to the already great roster of performers in Exo Zombies takes this to a new level, " added Glen Schofield, Co-Founder and Studio head, Sledgehammer Games. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Supremacy DLC come June 2 to Xbox One and will be made available to PS4 and PC users a month after.

When building a mobile application, it's important that you always test your application on a real device before releasing it to users. This page describes how to set up your development environment and Android-powered device for testing and debugging on the device. You can use any Android-powered device as an environment for running, debugging, and testing your applications. The tools included in the SDK make it easy to install and run your application on the device each time you compile. You can install your application on the device directly from Android Studio or from the command line with ADB. If you don't yet have a device, check with the service providers in your area to determine which Android-powered devices are available. Note: When developing on a device, keep in mind that you should still use the Android emulator to test your application on configurations that are not equivalent to those of your real device. Although the emulator does not allow you to test every device feature (such as the accelerometer), it does allow you to verify that your application functions properly on different versions of the Android platform, in different screen sizes and orientations, and more. Enabling On-device Developer Options Android-powered devices have a host of developer options that you can access on the phone, which let you: Enable debugging over USB. Quickly capture bug reports onto the device. Show CPU usage on screen. Draw debugging information on screen such as layout bounds, updates on GPU views and hardware layers, and other information. Plus many more options to simulate app stresses or enable debugging options. To access these settings, open the Developer options in the system Settings. On Android 4.2 and higher, the Developer options screen is hidden by default. To make it visible, go to Settings > About phone and tap Build number seven times. Return to the previous screen to find Developer options at the bottom. Setting up a Device for Development

With the slew of special edition PS4s recently, we've been positively spoilt for choice when it comes to trying to convince ourselves not to buy a thing we already own. However, this new Star Wars Battlefront PS4 might not be as difficult to resist as say, Arkham Knight's offering or the glossy red Metal Gear Solid 5 PS4. Etched with Darth himself on the main console and a repeating Star Wars logo, the 1TB PS4 comes with a customised high gloss DualShock 4 to match. Well, I say to match but the high gloss controller has one red button, one blue trigger and two white analogue sticks. While this of course replicates Vader's suit buttons, it does look a tad eccentric on a DualShock. For equal Star Wars-osity you could always just use the white controller and say it's a Storm Trooper. While the console doesn't have the most original imagery - and why is the PS4 light going through his skull? - the console includes codes for four retro Star Wars titles that you might just be too young to have heard of. Super Star Wars (NES), Star Wars: Racer Revenge (PS2), Jedi Starfighter (PS2) and Star Wars Bounty Hunter (PS2) have all had a (much needed) graphical overhaul and been gifted with trophy support. Come November 17th both Star Wars Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0 will get their very own Force related bundles. The Star Wars Battlefront bundle will include the console, the four retro games and a copy of the game, while the Disney Infinity 3.0 edition will come with the PlayStation Exclusive Hardware bundle kit. This includes a physical copy of Disney Infinity, the Rise Against The Empire Pack - which comes with Luke and Leia figures - and an exclusive Boba Fett figure.

Next-gen is now this-gen, and the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are armed for a true head-to-head battle. Next-gen is now this-gen. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 arrived around a year ago and have had that time to both deal with various launch problems and build up their game libraries. If you want to get a new video game system, these two are the frontrunners of the current generation, with several years of games ahead of them and loads of new hardware and features. We put the Xbox One and PS4 against each other in a variety of categories to determine which system comes out on top. From a broad gameplay perspective, the Nintendo Wii U also deserves your attention, but for now let's look at the two big technical powerhouses of this generation. Price The PS4 was the frontrunner in this category at launch, because the Xbox One with Kinect retailed (and still retails) for $500. However, since then Microsoft has launched a Kinect-free version of the Xbox One and given it the same $400 price tag as the PS4. So, for sheer console pricing, the systems are tied. This changes a bit when you look at the premium subscription services that go with them, which makes the PS4 stay ahead of the Xbox One by a hair, and only in terms of pricing. Sony's once-0 edge has since been slashed to just . Both Microsoft and Sony offer premium subscriptions to their online services. Xbox users can get a year of Xbox Live Gold for , and PlayStation users can get a year of PS Plus for $50. For both systems, this premium service is required to play multiplayer games online, and now neither system requires the extra subscription to watch media services. Winner: PlayStation 4 (Just Barely) Hardware Now that both systems are out, arguing about the technical specifications seems moot. On paper, the PlayStation 4 has a slight edge thanks to using GDDR5 RAM instead of the DDR3 RAM used in the Xbox One, but besides that their hardware is incredibly similar. Both have 8-core AMD CPUs, 8GB of memory, 500GB internal hard drives, and Blu-ray optical drives. Because of differing architectures and operating systems, benchmarking and directly comparing the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 is effectively impossible. They're so similar we can't declare one to be superior based on specs, and they're different enough that we can't directly compare performance. At this point, it's up to developers to get the most out of either console, and whether one truly shines as more powerful will only be revealed with new games and how they perform. Different games might run at 720p or 1080p, or 30fps or 60fps, between the different systems. But there's no single, set winner here.

<img src="/img/worten.jpg" alt="Worten "" align="left" />
Rockstar has promised 'graphical and technical improvements' Rockstar Rockstar is to bring its critically-acclaimed, record-breaking title Grand Theft Auto V to the next gen "this fall", confirming its arrival on PS4, Xbox One and PC with a new trailer. The developer promised that the game will "take full advantage of the power of new generation systems to deliver the ultimate open-world experience." The announcement has been awaited for some time, with the game launching on PS3 and Xbox 360 last autumn and having longevity thanks to its impressive multiplayer mode, GTA Online. The trailer Rockstar posted on YouTube uses footage from the PS4 version, and in a blog it promised that the next gen version will feature "across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolution." To the excitement of die-hard fans, there will also be "new details to discover" along with new wildlife and weather and damage effects.
