Pitting a group of player-controlled Survivors versus one player-controlled Killer, a match of _Dead by Daylight</em> can only be described as the most intense game of cat in mouse found in a video game ever. Survivors are forced to accomplish a variety of given objectives in order to survive the encounter, from turning on generators to other in-game objectives. Killers simply need to prevent these objectives from being met, by disposing of the Survivors as quickly as possible. With a roster of iconic horror villains to some creative new figures, <em>Dead by Daylight</em> blends addicting competitive gameplay with raw terror to create one of the best games on the market now.</p><p>Related: Dead By Daylight Killer Guide: Stranger Thing's Demogorgon</p><p>Given its incredible roster, deciding on one Killer is a near-impossible task. With Killers such as the infamous Leatherface alongside iconic villains like the Demogorgon to Freddy Kreuger, choosing the main Killer is an awfully difficult decision. One of the more creative villains to choose is Legion, a Killer inspired by the character designs of the popular <em>Purge</em> series. Hosting a variety of personalities all hell-bent on killing the enemy Survivors, Legion is an excellent choice for advanced and novice Killer players. This guide will demonstrate the Legion's general strengths and weaknesses and how to excel with the multi-personality fiend.</p><p>Understanding Legion's Abilities in Dead by Daylight</p><figure class="kg-card kg-image-card"><img src="https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Legion-1.jpg" class="kg-image" alt loading="lazy"></figure><p>Legion's individual ability is rather complex to describe. He gains one general buff to his movement speed and recon ability but with a substantial loss if used recklessly.</p><p>Legion's ultimate ability, Feral Frenzy, simply gives the killer a massive speed boost in his walk speed. This allows the knife-wielding fiend to chase down Survivors trying to flee from the Killer with relative ease. When Feral Frenzy runs out Legion will be placed in a small cooldown period in which his movement speed is drastically decreased. At first glance, this move seems very lackluster in comparison to some of the other more intricate villains in the roster, but there is much more to the ability than a simple movement buff.</p><p>When in Feral Frenzy, Legion loses the ability to kill a Survivor. Rather, he can only down that Survivor and inflict them with the Deep Wound status effect. So even though the ability allows him to chase down enemies, he is unable to "finish" the job. With this knowledge in mind Legion may come across as being one of the worst killers in the game. However, there is a particular aspect to Legion's ability that makes him a dangerous and imposing threat on the battlefield.</p><p>A very important aspect to Legion's Feral Frenzy is that when the Killer inflicts the Deep Wound status effect he gains two significant buffs. The first being that he maintains his Feral Frenzy buff, and can chain multiple Deep Wound attacks together to maintain his powerful buff. This makes Legion a hypermobile and incredibly quick killer able to essentially dominate a map's space with little to no difficulty. But arguably the most important aspect to Feral Frenzy is an ability related to the skill, and that is Legion's Killer Instinct.</p><p>Killer Instinct essentially allows Legion to find Survivor's locations in his terror radius. When Legion inflicts Deep Wound on an enemy the Killer can see all Survivors who have not been hit with Deep wound affliction. Essentially giving Legion the ability to scout out all Survivor's locations. This plays well to his increased run speed as he is able to quickly chain together rapid bursts of Deep Wound attacks on almost all the Survivors. Making him one of the most oppressive in the cast when he gains a serious amount of momentum in his favor. This forces players to respect his Feral Frenzy due to the powerful recon buff he gains with Killer Instinct. Making him one of the best Killers for players who like to have extremely dangerous tracking abilities.</p><p>However, gaining momentum with Legion is a difficult task. Due to his primary abilities revolving around successfully landing Feral Frenzy strikes, getting things rolling with this Killer can be frustrating at times. It is important to memorize a given map with Legion, that way you can benefit from your incredible run speed more than any other Killer in the game, minus Hillbilly. knowing popular escape points and heavily used routes can increase your success with the character tenfold. Legion also gains the benefit of being able to vault pallets during this Frenzy allowing him an unprecedented ability to chase down fleeing enemies. So baiting Survivors to waste a pallet and then punishing them for doing so is a necessary move for a deadly Legion player.</p><p>To mitigate Legion's slow starts to matches using perks such as Barbeque and Chili can allow the Killer necessary recon to get things going in his favor as well. This allows Legion to see Survivor's in a nearby radius after he hooks a Survivor.  <a href="https://dbdportal.com/news">game events</a>  that allows him to truly begin his pressure. Nurses' Calling also synergizes extraordinarily well with his Deep Wound ability, as Survivors are forced to heal and mend the status effect away, allowing this Killer to maintain extraordinary pressure on a group of Survivors.</p><p>To make Legion successful, a player simply needs to make use of his overwhelming strengths and sharpen them with useful perks. The combination of these mentioned quirks with his already oppressive Feral Frenzy makes this Killer one of the most offensive in the game.
