41.

As more and more top players follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and join clubs in Saudi Arabia, it is becoming impossible to ignore the rumours about Saudi teams preparing a bid for Mohamed Salah.

 42.
However, Liverpool fans shouldn’t be worried about a potential Saudi transfer for Salah, at least not yet. Even though top players like Kareem Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Ruben Neves have joined Saudi Arabian clubs, Salah has shown no indication he is interested in any such transfer. Let’s see

 43.

 44.
Temptation Awaits

 45.
We cannot be sure the offers put forth won’t tempt him. After all, Saudi clubs like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad have shown they are prepared to be super generous. Similar to top online casinos that shower players with a myriad of bonuses and promotions, Saudi football teams know how to entice world-class stars. And we have yet to see a player say no to lucrative casino promotions. It is probably equally difficult for footballers to ignore Arabia’s riches.

 46.
That said, we still feel Salah will stay in Liverpool and see out his contract. Here’s why.

 47.
Won’t Leave While in his Prime

 48.
Of all the top players that have joined Saudi clubs, only a handful are in their prime. Benzema, Kante, and Koulibaly are arguably the best in their positions in the world. However, they are also on the wrong side of 30 and have probably gone to Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad for that one large paycheck before they hang their boots.

 49.
Sure, Ruben Neves still has his best years ahead of him. However, he is nowhere near the level Salah is playing at, and there’s no comparing the two. In fact, Salah won’t be doing himself any favours by opting for a big payday and an easier challenge in the Saudi Pro League. The only way to make the most of his ability and talent is to play at the top level for at least a year or two and try to get his name in Liverpool’s history.

 50.
Still Has a Lot to Prove

 51.
Much has been said and written about Liverpool missing out on the UEFA Champions League. However, the lack of Champions League football next season won’t be a reason for Salah to leave Anfield. Klopp confirmed that. He said Salah’s ‘no excuses’ social media post after Liverpool finished the season fifth would only spur the Egyptian winger to play better next season.

 52.
Moreover, Liverpool not playing Champions League games would allow the Reds to focus on the Premier League and challenge Manchester City in the domestic championship. The chance to win the Europa League for the first time in his career will be one more reason for Salah to stay put.

 53.
Won’t Make Mane’s Mistake

 54.
As soon as Sadio Mane left Liverpool to join Bayern Munich, reports emerged saying the forward was missing Liverpool. And why wouldn’t he? The Reds have one of the best squads in Europe, a top manager, and play super-competitive matches in packed-full stadiums week in and week out. He won’t get that in Saudi Arabia, that’s for sure.

 69.

How to Bet on The Exact Score of Liverpool Matches

 70.
Liverpool is one of the most successful football clubs in history, with an impressive trophy cabinet that includes numerous domestic and international titles. The Reds have a passionate fan base that spans the globe, and many of them enjoy placing bets on their favourite team. One popular type of bet is the Exact Score market, which allows punters to predict the exact scoreline of a match. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at how to bet on Liverpool in this market.

 71.
The Exact Score market is divided into three sub-markets: Full Time, 1st Time and 2nd Time. Full Time refers to the final scoreline of the match, while 1st Time and 2nd Time refer to the scoreline at half time and full time, respectively. Each of these sub-markets offers different odds and risks, and punters should choose the one that best suits their betting style.

 72.
Full Time Exact Score Odds

 73.
Full Time Exact Score is the most popular sub-market, and it offers the highest odds but also the highest risk. Punters must correctly predict the exact scoreline at the end of the match, and there are many possible outcomes. For example, if you think Liverpool will beat their opponents 2-0, you can place a bet on that scoreline. If Liverpool win 2-0, you win the bet, but if they win by any other scoreline or if they don’t win at all, you lose your bet.

 74.
1st Time Exact Score is a sub-market that offers lower odds but lower risk. Punters must correctly predict the scoreline at half time, and there are fewer possible outcomes than in Full Time Exact Score. For example, if you think Liverpool will be winning 1-0 at half time, you can place a bet on that scoreline. If Liverpool are winning 1-0 at half time, you win the bet, but if the scoreline is anything else or if the match is tied or Liverpool are losing at half time, you lose your bet.

 75.
Second time Exact Score Betting

 76.
2nd Time Exact Score is a sub-market that offers similar odds and risk to 1st Time Exact Score. Punters must correctly predict the scoreline at full time, but this time they have the benefit of knowing the half time scoreline. For example, if Liverpool are winning 2-0 at half time, you can place a bet on them winning 3-0 at full time. If Liverpool win 3-0 at full time, you win the bet, but if the scoreline is anything else or if Liverpool don’t win, you lose your bet.

 77.
When betting on Liverpool in the Exact Score market, it’s important to consider their recent form, injuries, suspensions and the opposition’s strengths and weaknesses. Liverpool are known for their attacking prowess, but they also have a solid defence, so low-scoring matches are also a possibility. Additionally, the Reds often perform better at home than away, so this should also be taken into account when placing bets.

 78.
Summary: Exact Score Betting – Liverpool Games

 79.
In summary, betting on Liverpool in the Exact Score market can be both exciting and profitable, but it requires careful analysis and a good understanding of the team’s strengths and weaknesses. Punters should choose the sub-market that best suits their betting style and take into account recent form, injuries, suspensions and other factors when placing bets. With a bit of luck and good judgement, betting on Liverpool in the Exact Score market can be a rewarding experience for football fans and punters alike.

 94.

Liverpool Betting Odds: Next Matches and Outrights

 95.
Liverpool is a big club from the English Premier League Big 6. They have the best structure and financial resources possible to make sure they have an amazing squad at the disposal of their manager, now Jürgen Klopp, who’s been there for a while and could stay a lot longer depending on the end of the ongoing season.

 96.
But how will the Red perform in the betting markets in the last rounds of the 2023/24 season? That will depend on a few factors, including team news about injuries and suspensions.

 97.
Not only Liverpool has a great squad, but they also have a great health staff that knows how to prevent common injuries and have the best starting XI possible at all fixtures.

 98.
The days haven’t been quite easy for Klopp and The Reds compared with the last seasons when they were the big protagonists of English footie, together with Manchester City. The rivalry between the clubs became a lot more relevant in recent seasons as the teams were the best ones in England during that time, as well as being some of the teams with the best squads and performances at the international level in competitions such as the UEFA Champions League.

 99.
Liverpool Odds: Ongoing edition of the EPL

 100.
The modern betting markets have several different options for punters, whether they are recreational gamblers or professional punters.

 101.
The most popular betting markets out there are the match result ones. The reasons are many, but the main ones are the fact that you don’t have to wait much to find the result of the bet, unlike the outrights markets where you need to wait until the end of the season to find it out, and the fact that you can even bet during a game in the match result markets including 1×2 and Asian Handicap.

 102.
After the international break, there’ll be a very prestigious fixture between Liverpool and Man City, in Manchester, on April 1st.

 103.
The odds in the 1×2 market (decimal system) are 1.65 for the victory of the hosts, 4.6 for the match draw, and 5.6 for a victory of Liverpool. In the past, during the peak of the rivalry between these clubs, the odds for these clashes would be a lot more balanced, as both teams had similar chances to win the games in the eyes of the betting markets.

 104.
Odds for Liverpool to Win the 2023/4 EPL

 105.
Arsenal is the favourite to win the ongoing edition of the English Premier League and everyone knows that, as the North London side has quite a few points more than second-place Manchester City. But the distance between Arsenal and Liverpool in the betting odds market is perhaps more impressive than you could imagine.

 106.
The odds for a triumph of Arsenal after 20 years are 1.65 on average, while the odds for The Reds to win the ongoing EPL are 1500 to 1!

 121.

Liverpool vs Wolves – Betting Preview

 122.
Jurgen Klopp’s team was undoubtedly shell-shocked after Real Madrid humiliated them 5-2 on their own turf, and they were still reeling when they played Crystal Palace on Saturday. As a result, neither set of fans felt like they had their money’s worth from the match!

 123.
Liverpool Preview

 124.
While Diogo Jota, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Mohamed Salah all rattled the woodwork three times, neither team truly looked like scoring in the capital, rapidly ending Liverpool’s Premier League streak in which they fended off the threat of Everton and Newcastle United.

 125.
But, because Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion were not in action over the weekend, that point was sufficient to move Liverpool up to seventh place in the standings. Yet, they still trail Tottenham Hotspur, who have played two more games, by nine points.

 126.
Wolves Preview

 127.
Manor Solomon’s super-sub skills for Fulham were put to the test against Wolves, who were trailing a Pablo Sarabia goal at Craven Cottage on Friday night when the Israeli attacker did what he does best off the bench.

 128.
Solomon denied Wolves consecutive away victories in the Premier League by curling in a lovely equaliser with 64 minutes remaining, but the West Midlands crop was able to put some distance between themselves and the danger zone by earning seven points from their four games in February.

 129.
Also, the Kop won’t need to be reminded of how Lopetegui’s team destroyed them 3-0 at Molineux a few weeks ago, but Wolves and their 18 goals no longer retain the title of the worst attacking team in the Premier League; that unwelcome honour now belongs to Everton (17).

 130.
That astounding win for Wolves came after the visitors had drawn 2-2 at Anfield in the third round of the FA Cup before losing 1-0 in the replay thanks to Harvey Elliott’s screamer, and a similar piece of individual brilliance could yet again prove decisive on Wednesday.

 131.
1×2 Betting Odds

 132.
Let’s analyse the 1×2 betting market.

 133.
The stage is set for Klopp’s squad to return to form at the Anfield fortress with Konate possibly joining a Liverpool backline that is once again proving difficult to break down – for Premier League clubs at least.

 134.
The Merseyside giants can’t expect to generate a tonne of opportunities against a tenacious Wolves team, but one flash of brilliance from their difference-makers might be decisive, and there shouldn’t be a replay of the crushing defeat they suffered at Molineux a few weeks ago!

 135.
Liverpool to win stands @ 1.52. They are the overwhelming favourites.

 136.
Wolves to win stands @ 7.00.

 137.
The market odds of a stalemate and points shared, stands @ 4.80.

 138.
Total goals over/under

 139.
Let’s analyse the over/under market.

 140.
The odds that the total number of goals scored will be over 2.5, stands @ 1.79.

 141.
While the odds that the total number of goals will be under 2.5, stands @ 2.20.

 142.
Wolves have shown quality to defeat big sides, but at Anfield it’s really hard to bet against Liverpool. Even after that Real Madrid game!

 143.
So perhaps it is best to expect Liverpool to win, even if Wolves find their way to the scoresheet!

 158.

Mohamed Salah came into the game against Real Madrid with a point to prove. There were no viral social media posts this time, no promises of revenge. The Egyptian superstar simply sought to seek retribution for the misery Real Madrid had caused him on the pitch, and he did so with a breathtaking performance.

 159.
As the game began, Liverpool came out of the blocks firing on all cylinders, putting the Real Madrid defense under relentless pressure. The crowd at Anfield was electric, bouncing with anticipation as the Reds launched wave after wave of attacks. For the first 15 minutes, it looked like Liverpool might just run away with the game.

 160.
Before the game, Liverpool was the favorite to win against Real Madrid, according to the betting calculator when punters were working out the odds that were made available. The Reds had been in great form in the Premier League and had a strong home record at Anfield. However, despite taking an early 2-0 lead in the game, Liverpool could not hold on as Real Madrid mounted a remarkable comeback. The Spanish giants showed their class and experience, slowly but surely taking control of the game and eventually emerging victorious. It was a disappointing result for Liverpool and their fans, who had high hopes for the game.

 161.
At the heart of Liverpool’s attacking play was Mohamed Salah, who was causing the Real Madrid defense many problems. The Egyptian kept weaving in and out of the defense, leaving defenders in his wake. His pass led to Liverpool’s opening goal, with Darwin Núñez finishing the move with a spectacular strike. For a brief moment, it seemed like Salah and Liverpool were unstoppable.

 162.
Liverpool has regressed significantly since last season, and while Mohamed Salah is still considered one of the best players in the world, the team needs a complete overhaul. Despite Salah’s impressive 19 goals and 9 assists this season, Klopp must rebuild the team around him to ensure he can perform at his best.

 163.
Real Madrid exposed Liverpool’s need for a refresh in last season’s Champions League final, but Tuesday’s game highlighted the need for a complete refurbishment at Anfield. Klopp has a challenging task ahead, not just in the second leg of the Champions League but in the club’s long-term future. He needs to rebuild the team from scratch, saying goodbye to players who have fulfilled their shelf life. Liverpool needs to give Salah the power to wield his quality, and this summer’s transfer window will be crucial for the club’s and Salah’s future. With his contract expiring in 2025, another poor season may lead to his departure, which Liverpool wants to avoid.

 164.
Final Thoughts

 165.
As the club looks to the future, the upcoming transfer window and the need for a long-term plan loom large. Klopp has a challenging task ahead, but Liverpool and their fans will be hoping that he can steer the team back to the top of the Premier League and UEFA champions league.

 180.

Mohamed Salah bagged the headlines last Saturday evening with his two goals against Arsenal as Liverpool went clear at the top of the Premier League with their third win of three, leaving them as the only team with a 100% start to the season. The Egyptian is on three goals for the season, the same in all competitions as Sadio Mane, while Roberto Firmino got off the mark with his strike against Southampton last week.

 181.
The Reds haven’t been as assured defensively as they were this time last year, with no clean sheets from their five matches so far this month and six conceded in that time. It took them until 26 September to have that many goals put past them last season, so that is an itch Jurgen Klopp will be eager to scratch against Burnley on Saturday. Their most defensive-minded midfielder has enjoyed a superb start to the season, though.

 182.
Fabinho only appeared as a sub in the win at St Mary’s but, in the two Premier League games that he has started this term, he has made a largely unseen yet meritorious contribution from the base of Liverpool’s midfield. He was a frequent yet far from guaranteed presence in the team last season, starting 21 of 38 league matches and seven of their 13 games en route to Champions League glory. Based on what we’ve seen of him so far this month, though, the Brazilian can lay a strong claim to call one of the regular midfield starting berths his own.

 183.
Fabinho v Norwich

 184.
Liverpool put Norwich to the sword with a clinical first half performance, leading 4-0 at the interval, and Sky Sports named Salah as their man of the match. Fabinho was statistically one of the Reds’ best performers on the night, getting through a mountain of unselfish work as Klopp’s team emphatically punished a Canaries side who gave a far more respectable performance than the final score of 4-1 may suggest.

 185.
The 25-year-old won eight tackles on the night, more than twice as many as every other player on the pitch, and six of those came between the 51st and 65th minute, while he also made two interceptions as part of his relentless efforts to break up play. His passing may have been slack at times – he misplaced nine of his 42 passes, ending with an accuracy rate of 78.6% that fell beneath last season’s average of 85.3% – but overall he had an excellent game.

 186.

 187.
The heatmaps above testify to the large volume of ground he covered not just in the middle of the park, but also further towards the wings (left heatmap), with Norwich using the wide midfield areas far more frequently than going centrally (right heatmap).

 188.

 189.
Indeed, almost all of Fabinho’s tackles were made out wide (see above), with the midfielder consistently sensing the danger posed by full-backs Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis, along with wide attackers Emi Buendia and Todd Cantwell.

 190.
Fabinho v Arsenal

 191.
Salah again took the headlines with his brace of goals while Joel Matip was also on target, but Fabinho was again magnificent in midfield as Liverpool preserved their own perfect start to the campaign while ending Arsenal’s in the process. Along with Jordan Henderson, the Brazilian put in a tireless shift to keep some of the Gunners’ most skilful players quiet – Dani Ceballos, for instance, was largely anonymous at Anfield.

 192.
He won just two of his three tackles this time around, a significant comedown on his marvellous total against Norwich, but his ball distribution was nothing short of excellent, completing 65 of his 71 passes for a 93% success rate. His total of successful passes was more than any other player in red last Saturday and second only to Granit Xhaka for the Gunners. It was also a marked improvement on last season’s average.

 193.

 194.
Fabinho was not just passing for the sake of statistics, either. Of his 71 passes (see above), almost half (33) were played in or into Arsenal’s defensive third of the pitch, while nearly three-quarters (51) were played forward rather than backwards or side-to-side. Ten of those 71 were defined as long passes, including his telegraphed ball to Salah that culminated in the Egyptian giving Liverpool a three-goal lead.

 195.
Fabinho’s season so far at Liverpool

 196.
In the 2019/20 Premier League so far, the Brazilian has a slightly better passing accuracy rate of 85.8% to last season’s 85.3%. From averaging 2.1 tackles per game last term, he has increased that to 3.3 in the opening weeks of this season. His average of key passes per game has rocketed from 0.6 to 1.7, albeit that the current campaign is only three weeks old.

 197.
He started 21 league games last season, featuring regularly but finding it difficult to make one of the midfield berths his own. Judging by his performances against Norwich and Arsenal, the 25-year-old has shown himself to be worthy of a more regular place in Klopp’s first XI over the coming months.

 227.

There’s a whole host of statistics you could unleash to highlight just how miserly Liverpool’s defence was last season. Let’s start with the final figure in the ‘goals conceded’ column when the Premier League campaign drew its last breath – 22. Nobody else in the division conceded fewer. Arsenal and Manchester United, two teams who during the 1990s and early 2000s were famed for their barely penetrable rearguards, shipped 51 and 54 respectively.

 228.
Alisson ended the season with 21 Premier League clean sheets from 38 games, the highest in the league. You can add another six to that from the Champions League, including shutouts in the second leg of the semi-final against Barcelona and the final against Tottenham. Taking out the 3-0 first leg defeat to Barca, Liverpool let in just two goals in six Champions League knockout games – one of those against Porto when progression was assured, to all intents and purposes.

 229.
In the 53 games the Reds played in 2018/19, they only conceded multiple goals in 10 of them, and two of those were with much-changed teams in domestic cups when Simon Mignolet was between the sticks. The most they conceded in any match was three and that only happened twice, the 4-3 league win at home to Crystal Palace and the aforementioned loss at the Nou Camp.

 230.
Liverpool’s games from last August were a portent of how robust their defence would be throughout the season. In Premier League wins over West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton, Jurgen Klopp’s men did not let in a single goal. It took until the second half of their fourth match for Leicester to finally deprive Alisson of a clean sheet and that was a self-inflicted wound from the Brazilian after his daft attempt to try and trick his way around Kelechi Iheanacho instead of just clearing his lines.

 231.
If those first three games set the tone for the season, Klopp will be hoping that the Reds’ first four competitive outings of 2019/20 are not a sign of things to come. Liverpool have already seen five goals going past them in the early weeks of the campaign – it took until the final weeks of September, and the closing stages of their eighth match, for that to happen last season.

 232.
Liverpool 1-1 Manchester City (4-5 pens), Community Shield, 4 August

 233.

 234.
Joe Gomez was caught badly napping in the opening exchanges, being mugged by Raheem Sterling, who set up Leroy Sane for a chance that hit the side netting. The Reds were then collectively caught cold for the opening goal on 12 minutes. As Kyle Walker looked up to see nine red shirts straddled in a compact line ahead of him, he picked out Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left flank and the ball eventually found its way to Sterling to break the deadlock.

 235.
Into the second half, Liverpool’s high defensive line nearly led to Manchester City doubling their advantage. As Fernandinho entered Liverpool’s half, the deepest Reds player was Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was transcending the circumference of the centre circle. One clever through ball to Sterling, who peeled away casually from Gomez, set the 24-year-old up for a one-on-chance he should have buried.

 236.
Liverpool later equalised through Joel Matip and took the game to penalties, losing 5-4 in the shootout. The Reds performed impressively in the second half, limiting their opponents to just two shots, although there were moments in the game where questions could be asked of their defensive work.

 237.
Liverpool 4-1 Norwich, Premier League, 9 August

 238.

 239.
Liverpool put their first league match of the season to bed by half-time with four goals in the opening 45 minutes, but a sharper team than Norwich would have made the Reds pay for some early sloppiness. Marco Stiepermann missed two promising chances early on, one of which came about from a careless pass by Alisson.

 240.
Into the second half, the Reds had the points wrapped up by the time Norwich found a route to goal. Gomez and Alexander-Arnold, two very good young defenders, were completely split by Teemu Pukki through the middle, the former allowing the ball to run past him before the Canaries striker dispatched his shot beyond Adrian. It was a goal that the visitors deserved for their endeavour throughout the game.

 241.
The final score was harsh on Norwich, who had 12 shots to Liverpool’s 15. If Stiepermann had been more clinical with his first half chances, this could have been a very uncomfortable night for last season’s Premier League runners-up.

 242.
Liverpool 2-2 Chelsea (5-4 on pens), Super Cup, 14 August

 243.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLLa-Yfo3_8

 244.
During the first half of the clash in Istanbul, Chelsea caught the Liverpool defence napping on more than one occasion with long balls through the centre, only to be thwarted firstly by poor control from Olivier Giroud and then the excellent reading of the play from Andrew Robertson.

 245.
Just after the half-hour, the Reds were indebted to goalkeeper Adrian for throwing himself at the feet of Mateo Kovacic after being played through by Pedro, one simple pass taking out four players in red. When Chelsea broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, they were good value for their lead. Pedro slipped the ball into Giroud, who got away easily from the ball-watching Matip before finishing past Adrian.

 246.
The match eventually went into extra time and, with the score at 2-2, it was the Blues who finished the 30 additional minutes on top and missed a couple of good chances to have won it late on. Even without Eden Hazard, who has terrorised Liverpool so often in the past, Chelsea still managed to score twice past Adrian and registered 20 shots over 120 minutes of football, the equivalent of 15 in a standard 90-minute game.

 247.
Southampton 1-2 Liverpool, Premier League, 17 August

 248.

 249.
Southampton were among the Premier League’s weaker attacks last season, their 45-goal tally superior to only five other teams, but still troubled Liverpool on multiple occasions in the first half. Maya Yoshida and Che Adams let the Reds off the hook by failing to convert free headers before Mane put Liverpool ahead on the stroke of half-time.

 250.
Adrian came in for a lot of stick for passing the ball straight to Danny Ings for the goal Southampton eventually scored to halve Liverpool’s lead late on, but just before that howler, there was a legitimate question to be asked of the usually impeccable Virgil van Dijk. With Stuart Armstrong applying pressure, should the Dutchman have simply knocked the ball out for a throw-in rather than passing it back to his goalkeeper?

 251.
Van Dijk was nearly caught out again a few minutes later as Ings failed to get a proper connection to an inviting low cross that he ought to have stuck away. The Saints striker got in behind Liverpool’s number 4, who only realised that Ings had gotten through by the time the cross was played to him.

 252.
Southampton recorded 14 shots on the day, only one fewer than Liverpool. That the Reds gave up so many opportunities to a team that battled relegation in the last two seasons is a worrying sign ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Arsenal, the only other team in the Premier League with a 100% record going into this weekend. It’s one they could preserve if Liverpool don’t rediscover the defensive steel that characterised their glorious 2018/19 campaign.

 268.

Liverpool midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho will go to Paris for the Champions League final against Real Madrid, the Premier League club said on Friday.

 269.
Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the final at Stade de France on Saturday, with the Merseyside club hoping to capture a third trophy this season after winning the League Cup and FA Cup.

 270.
The midfielders were injury concerns for manager Jurgen Klopp, but the club stated they are poised to return.

 271.
Thiago returned to training after being forced off the field with a muscle problem in the first half of Liverpool’s 3-1 triumph against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the last league game of the season last Sunday. As Liverpool finished second in the table.

 272.
Fabinho has not featured for the team since sustaining a muscle problem in its 2-1 league win away to Aston Villa on May 10.

 273.
Liverpool has won the Champions League six times, while Real have 13 titles.

 274.
The two teams have met eight times in the European Cup, with Real winning four times and Liverpool three!

 275.
And as far as this meeting goes, it comes at the end of an unbelievable season for Liverpool, which has already won the FA Cup and League Cup and has a victory parade planned for Sunday.

 276.
However, the final will almost probably be challenging after Real defeated PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester City in the knockout stages, with players like Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and Rodrygo in good form.

 277.
A total of 26 players took off from John Lennon Airport around midday, with 23 of them certain to make the final matchday roster.

 278.
Apart from Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho, young centre-back Rhys Williams flew with the first squad, with the 21-year-old set to support the core group with the likes of Harvey Elliott, Takumi Minamino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adrian.

 279.
Divock Origi was part of the travelling squad but is not expected to be involved on Saturday, with the Belgian having suffered a muscle injury last weekend.

 280.
So, the entire team is:

 281.
Goalkeepers: Alisson, Kelleher, Adrian

 282.
Defenders: Van Dijk, Matip, Konate, Gomez, R.Williams, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Tsimikas.

 283.
Midfielders: Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson, Keita, Milner, Jones, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Elliott.

 284.
Forwards: Salah, Mane, Diaz, Jota, Firmino, Origi*, Minamino

 285.

 300.

Since Jurgen Klopp agreed a three-year deal to become Liverpool manager on October 8th 2015, the Liverpool faithful have enjoyed a resurgence that few could have ever expected. They have reached three Champions league finals, winning one, won both an FA Cup and an EFL Cup, the FIFA World Cup and, of course, won their first ever Premier League title in 2019/20. Now, the word resurgence was used purposefully, Klopp has brought a performance level that better reflects the historical status of the club but one that younger fans may not have been so familiar with actually experiencing. The 2022/23 season has proved to be Klopp’s most difficult spell with the club so far and now that the club has been put up for sale by Fenway Sports Group (FSG) as of November 2022, Liverpool face a modern challenge that could change how their very own fans perceive themselves. Let’s take a look at how.
301.
302. A Match Made in Heaven

 303.
Liverpool as a city is a special place, this magic extends into the stands of Anfield and the spirit of the club. Players from all over Europe sing the praises of the atmosphere within the club whenever they get the opportunity to play against them. Jurgen Klopp was the ideal manager to lead Liverpool back to the top of world football because he understood this. Yes, he is a master tactician, but he is also an individual who truly gets and lives for the emotional benefits of a football club working in unison.

 304.
Over Klopp’s reign in charge, there have been multiple moments when the connection between the club, the players, the fans, and the city has been on full show for all to see. It is a sight to be witnessed and to be treasured, and with so many other clubs falling into the category of companies and businesses instead of communities, it is something that Liverpool fans savour with an ever-increasing appreciation. The fanbase is as committed as any other in world football, keeping up to date on the latest soccer news on Sportsbet, following the team on the road, and creating one of the best atmospheres in any ground on earth.

 305.
Be Careful What You Wish For

 306.
The grass isn’t always greener and Liverpool fans need to be wary of this. The poor start to the 2022/23 Premier League season has seen the club be put up for sale. Perhaps it is because FSG have achieved all they wanted to at the club? More likely is that a poor run in form, and the idea of rebuilding in order to challenge the likes Manchester City and Newcastle United in the transfer market has given them cause for concern.
307.
308. While some fans may now be dreaming for new owners and unlimited spending, the wrong owners can be catastrophic for a football club regardless of if they bring success. For Liverpool Football Club, the fall from grace could be even more detrimental than for others. This is a club that is intertwined with the values of the city and its people. This is reflected in the stands every weekend in a chorus of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.

 309.
While the decision is ultimately down to FSG, the failed European Super League (ESL) did demonstrate that fans do have some sway when it comes to influencing their owners decision-making. For Liverpool fans, for now, it is a case of waiting to see how this new era proceeds. However, if the club does fall into the wrong hands, even if they do offer up success, the club is at risk of losing what is actually special about it. Even if it does mean a drop off in quality and in honours for a period of time, Liverpool is at a turning point when it comes to their identity both on and off the pitch. Fans need to consider what is more important and voice their opinion loud and clear for all to hear.
325.

Just a few months after leaving Liverpool, Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane reportedly “privately admitted to friends” that he is “missing” Liverpool.

 326.
After spending a very successful few seasons at the club, Mane left Liverpool in the summer.

 327.
In 2014, the Reds signed the Southampton forward for about £34 million. When they invested this much to bring him in, a few heads turned.

 328.
However, Mane went on to surpass expectations as he developed into one of the best forwards in the world during his time at the club, much like many of Liverpool’s recent acquisitions.

 329.
Liverpool won the Premier League, Champions League, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup thanks to his 120 goals in 269 games.

 330.
Mane’s Liverpool contract was set to expire in 2023, but before the end of the 2021/22 season, he made the decision that he wanted to leave to join Bayern Munich.

 331.
Due to Liverpool’s lack of opposition, this transaction was concluded amicably. The English club also did well, as they were able to acquire him for about £35 million in the summer, as opposed to 2023, when they might have lost him for nothing.

 332.
The 30-year-old signed a three-year contract with Bayern Munich that runs through 2025, and in his first 22 games for the club, he has registered 11 goals and four assists.

 333.
In contrast to their high expectations, the German team had a slow start to the 2022–23 season, but they are now in first place.

 334.
They have also qualified for the last-16 stage of the Champions League as group winners.

 335.
Back in September, ex-Liverpool player Dietmar Hamann claimed that Mane is “looking isolated” at Bayern.

 336.
“He is not integrated. I saw him at Liverpool FC, where he played through the middle. That is not his position. Now he’s taking that position at FC Bayern as well,” Hamann told GMX.

 337.
“He is at his best when he comes from the outside. He doesn’t look happy to me.

 338.
“Other players like Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala or, in defence, Lucas Hernandez, who is injured at the moment, are putting in outstanding performances.

 339.
“Nobody is talking about Mane at the moment. He seems isolated and hardly takes part in the game. FC Bayern has to get a grip on that.”

 340.
Since Hamann made these remarks, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who is reportedly a target for Manchester United, has been operated down the middle and Mane has switched back to playing on the left flank.

 341.
Mane allegedly privately told his friends that he “misses Liverpool and the Premier League” in a recent report from Football Insider.

 342.
‘Sources with knowledge of his situation’ claim that the Senegal international even ‘pines for his old club’.
