Це трапилось задовго до революції і це підтверджує відповідний документ, який було надіслано Київським губернським правлінням до черкаської міської управи 5 серпня 1908 року. В ньому йдеться про те, що приміщення на Суворівській вулиці дозволено пристосувати для демонстрації рухливих картин з використанням сінематографа. На той час цей будинок був власністю торговця Бєлахова і був розташований на тому місці, де пізніше, в 1957 році, було зведено 5-поверхівку, розміщену по той бік вулиці від входу до Черкаської обласної бібліотеки ім. Т.Г.
