20.
Back where this whole thing began

Following a closer than it needed to be 120-118 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, the Dallas Mavericks (38-39, 9th in the Western Conference) head out to Tinseltown to square off with the Los Angeles Clippers (44-32, 7th in the Western Conference). This is the third of four meetings between the two teams. Interestingly enough, the first two meetings also happened as a baseball style series in Dallas, with the teams splitting those meetings in late December.

 21.
If you can believe it, as this feels like it was lifetimes ago, the Mavs faced off against these Clippers in the first game in<s> the Toilet Bowl’s</s> Intuit Dome history during the preseason. Ah, the simpler times. If only we knew back then what we knew now! However, now is not the time to look back, as we’ve got two games to play in 24 hours. Here’s a few things to know.

 22.
Davis’ delicate dispersion

 23.
Fresh off his best game as a Maverick, Anthony Davis arrives into this contest with a bit more momentum at his back. However, given the fact that he is so talented, why does Davis not have more of these explosive games? Better yet, how do we end up with so many clunkers? Well, AD is no longer the spry young center that he once was and he’s lost maybe a half step. However, that half step is a big difference in getting all the way to the rim or settling for 18-footers.

 24.
Per the guru’s at NBA.com, AD in 2019-20 (his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers) took just 48% of his shots on the floor from 10 feet and out. This year? That number is up to over half of his shots at 53%. He’s much more jumper reliant than he used to be, so naturally he’s going to be prone to variance. Davis is shooting just 39.7% from the floor this season on shots outside of 5 feet, compared to 70% inside of 5 feet. In order to be his best self on a consistent basis, Davis is going to have to get inside more often.

 25.
Containing Kawhi and Harden

 26.
The Mavs will have their work cut out for them in containing the Clippers tandem on the outside. Dallas will have PJ Washington back to throw at one of the pair, presumably Kawhi Leonard. However, that leaves Harden with one of Spencer Dinwiddie or Klay Thompson. Neither of them are regarded as great defenders at this point in their careers, so there will be a lot of pressure on the Mavs’ bigs to both contain Ivica Zubac and cut off drives from up top.

 27.
Who plays?

 28.
This is the front end of a back-to-back and with the Mavericks balancing a lot of guys on minutes limits and injuries, it will be interesting to see who plays in which game. So far for Friday night’s tilt, Dereck Lively is out while Anthony Davis is questionable. If both miss, the Mavericks will be forced to go small once again with Daniel Gafford and Dwight Powell as their only available bigs.

 29.
How to watch

 30.
This 9:30p CT tipoff from the Intuit Dome will be available on KFAA Channel 29 or Mavs TV here locally. If you’re in Los Angeles, try to sneak in and join the legion of fans standing at “The Wall”.

 48.

 49.
 50.
Facing perhaps the most extreme culture shift in modern basketball history, the Dallas Mavericks have found ways to make lemonade out of the lemons handed to them — and it’s been inspiring to watch.

With just over seven seconds remaining in a tie game against the Atlanta Hawks, Anthony Davis caught the ball at the top of the key and drove left. As he released his off-hand floater, Davis crashed to the court, sliding out of bounds as his shot hung in the air with 20,000 fans in American Airlines Center frozen in place.

 51.
When the ball fell through the bottom of the net, the crowd exploded. Davis was helped to his feet and, moments later, contested a three-point shot by Atlanta’s Trae Young that would’ve given the Hawks a stunning victory. The shot fell short and Davis was mobbed by his teammates and coaches for his offensive and defensive superhuman efforts to carry Dallas across the finish line.

 52.
His final statline of 34 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks flashed across the bottom of the screen as he fielded questions from TV reporter Jeff Skin Wade. Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford continued the postgame celebration as Davis prepared for the interview, cheering into the camera and hyping up their teammate.

 53.
Dallas has won five of its last seven to give itself some breathing room in the race for play-in seeding. The Mavericks currently sit at 38-39, two and a half games ahead of the 11th-seeded Phoenix Suns and one and a half games clear of the 10th-seeded Sacramento Kings with five games to go.

 54.
As Davis and his teammates exited the court to continue the party in the locker room, I reflected on the last eight weeks for this Mavericks team. For the first time since the Luka Dončić trade, I felt a sense of pride watching this team play basketball.

 55.
Two weeks ago, all three of these guys were on the bench with injuries. About two weeks before that, Kyrie Irving went down with a torn ACL. Dallas played multiple games with only eight eligible players — the league-required minimum to play a game — and there were a few games where guys that probably should’ve sat suited up to help the Mavericks reach that minimum number. It would’ve been easy to throw in the towel and tank the rest of the season. Full transparency, I’ve been in support of that idea ever since the trade — lose as many games as you can, get a talented young guy and try to run it back next season. But man, if you don’t like watching these Mavericks fight for every loose ball, hustle after every shot, and hype each other up after each big play, you may not like NBA basketball.

 56.
This group of guys had every reason to quit. Fans were angry — not at them, but some players felt slighted by the chants fans would start during games — and the season seemed lost. But they just kept going. They didn’t care about the outside noise. They stuck together and they put together enough wins to stay competitive for a play-in spot, where they’ll likely host a playoff-atmosphere game as the No. 9 seed. And damn it, they’ve suckered me back into loving this team again.

 57.
That never-say-die attitude is what I love most about sports. Screw the oddsmakers, ignore the pundits and block out the outside noise: when you step on that court, it’s your five against their five for 48 minutes. Those are the only numbers that matter. Dallas’ standing has dropped since the trade. After all, I don’t think there’s a team in any sport in any league that could survive trading away a generational talent AND their two all-star players suffering injuries, but they’ve prevented the season from turning into a free fall.

 58.
It’s inspiring to watch them salvage a season few thought they could. Life, a controversial general manager, and enough injuries to last a team a decade, has thrown obstacles at the Mavericks that could’ve gotten them down, but they laced up their shoes and they just kept fighting. It’s the story of Rocky Balboa. There’s a reason America loves that story. People love to root for an underdog, and Dallas’ scrappy form of basketball resembles that of Balboa. You may think he’s overmatched against the bigger fighter, but he’s going to go in that ring and give ‘em hell. The Mavericks have survived the early rounds of the fight. They’ve taken the haymakers from the heavyweight, and now they’re fighting back.

 59.
Unfortunately for Dallas, it appears the season will end much like the first Rocky movie: a heartwarming comeback story that ends in defeat, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the ride while they fight back. We’ve got at least two weeks left, and I’m ready to cheer them on as they take on the world.

 78.

 79.
 80.
After graduating college, his first major purchase was Dallas Mavericks season tickets. He never wavered in his belief in his home-town team and organization. Until now.

Danny M. Goldberg, a life-long, dedicated fan and entrepreneur, has held Dallas Mavericks season tickets for 27 years. He never considered canceling during the bad years in the 1990’s, or due to increased prices recently. Echoing many other fans, he felt that since the Mavs had Luka Dončić, it was all worth it.

 81.
That all changed on February 1st, 2025, when the Dallas Mavericks traded their franchise player and superstar to the Los Angeles Lakers out of the blue for pennies on the dollar.

 82.
“I have watched 10 minutes of basketball since the trade and they were of the Lakers. It makes me sad and sick that our Luka plays for the hated Lakers. I have sold or given away all of my tickets and will not attend another game until these issues are addressed,” Mr. Goldberg said.

 83.
The Dallas Mavericks have been a large part of Mr. Goldberg’s life since childhood, and he and his family have memories dating back to the beginning of franchise, and newer ones with his own children. But with the events on February 1st, the aftermath and the decreased incentive to own season tickets as of late, he felt forced to make some difficult decisions.

 84.
“I just ended my season tickets after 27 years. The Mavericks have gotten away from the benefits of being a season ticket holder. Reduced ticket prices and season ticket holder-only events are non-existent or overcrowded to the point where they are not fun or too full to attend. Additionally, they increased prices a total of 33% over three years when prices did not increase for over 20 years (or did so rarely/marginally) previously. But since we had Luka, it made it all worth it,” he said.

 85.
The story of Mr. Goldberg and his family’s ties to the Dallas Mavericks dates back to the beginning of the franchise.

 86.
“My family and I have been long-time Mavericks fans. I was born here, my dad was almost an original season ticket holder, but we grew up relatively poor so we would pick out a few games to go to every year.”

 87.
It was hard being a Mavs fan at times. There was a year when he didn’t see one win, he recalls.

 88.
“When the Mavericks sunk to the depths of the worst of the NBA in the 1990’s, I went to 26 games and never saw a win. No joke.”

 89.
But there was always hope, he says. So he stuck around.

 90.
“Tim Legler was one of my favorite Mavericks. Same with Mike Iuzzolino. We were bad, but there was hope. Hope through high draft picks annually and potential scrapheap finds.”

 91.
And when he graduated college in 1998, his first major purchase was Mavs season tickets. Only 13 short years later, Mr. Goldberg’s undying hope and belief in the Mavericks paid off.

 92.
“In 2011, I was able to take my 3 year old son to the finals and when we won game 6, I was at a conference in San Diego and I went upstairs and (no exaggeration) cried for 3 hours. It meant that much to me.”

 93.
The Mavericks served a bigger purpose in Danny Goldberg’s life than just entertainment, though. Like so many other fans in Dallas and around the world, the team brought him and his family together, across generations and time zones.

 94.
“As an entrepreneur, I have very few hobbies. Pretty much my focus on life is my religion, my businesses and my kids. The Mavericks combined my business and kids together. My kids grew up going to Mavericks games.”

 95.
Both his kids were pregame ballkids for Dirk Nowitzki’s 30k game against the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017. He brought his son to his first game when he was seven months old. His daughter was less than a year old and she celebrated her birthday at Mavericks games on numerous occasions. “The Mavericks are a piece of me and the Goldberg family,” he says.

 96.
Left are the memories.

 97.
Danny Goldberg wanted me to tell his story, because he is convinced that he is not alone in feeling this way, suddenly completely distant from a franchise that has meant so much for so long. “I’m not the only one who has lost a big part of my life because of their (the organization’s) ineptitude,” he adds.

 118.
Assigning Grades for the Mavericks in their 120–118 win over the Hawks

The Dallas Mavericks welcomed the Atlanta Hawks to Texas on Wednesday night, looking to sweep the season series between the teams while strengthening their Play-In Tournament positioning in the Western Conference. The Hawks didn’t go easily, but the Mavs got the result they needed, winning 120-108. This win combined with the Sacramento Kings dropping one to the Washington Wizards resulted in a full-game bump in the standings for Dallas.

 119.
This was a great win and had a lot of excitement down the stretch, but a fair assessment of the game means we have to recognize the non-existent defense that was played over the first three quarters. Continuing an alarming (and long-standing) trend this season, the Mavs seem almost incapable of guarding the three. Perhaps a better descriptor is unwilling. Whether it is the defensive mandate or simply a shortcoming, the Mavs need to get this fixed. They watched the Hawks attempt 38 threes (connecting at 38.5%) with many being of the completely wide open variety. They are fortunate that didn’t cost them a second straight loss.

 120.
On a positive note, after a season filled with injury after injury after injury, the Mavs have now strung together back-to-back games where players actually returned! After Daniel Gafford came back to the lineup Monday, Dereck Lively II further bolstered the big man rotation tonight following a 36-game absence. Let’s get to the grades!

 121.
Spencer Dinwiddie: B

 122.
14 Points / 4 Rebounds / 10 Assists / 2 Steals / 0 Blocks (33 Minutes)

 123.
Dinwiddie had a really nice game going but overshadowed it with back-to-back poor shots late in the fourth quarter. Both of those misses resulted in scores on the other end which put the Mavs in jeopardy of dropping a second consecutive must-win. He then missed a layup a few moments later, though he received a hot potato pass on a busted play for that one. Despite those blemishes, he did have a double-double, shot well (save for the glaring ones mentioned above) and had a few very heady defensive plays that will not show up on any stat sheet.

 124.
Klay Thompson: A

 125.
17 Points / 4 Rebounds / 2 Assists / 1 Steal / 1 Block (29 Minutes)

 126.
Game-tying three with less than a minute remaining in the game? That’s why he’s here. Awesome defense to cause your matchup to fall out of bounds and commit a turnover to set up a game-winner? Yeah, why not? It wasn’t Thompson’s best game but he played better than the box score shows and did exactly what he is here to do – shoot like a sniper (5-for-9 on threes) – and then some. Interesting observation: in the closing moments AD had his back to the basket with Thompson behind the arc on the same side of the court. The Hawks could do nothing more that feign a double-team, knowing if they closed on Davis in the most logical way possible, it would leave Thompson wide open for a three. This could be a simple, obvious and ruthless combination going forward.

 127.
Naji Marshall: C+

 128.
6 Points / 2 Rebounds / 8 Assists / 0 Steals / 0 Blocks (35 Minutes)

 129.
Naji had a decently well-rounded game but did relatively little despite leading the team in minutes. He missed all three of his three-point attempts and shot only 33.3% on six shots overall. A nice assist total was the highlight, but this was otherwise largely forgettable.

 130.
Anthony Davis: A+

 131.
34 Points / 15 Rebounds / 2 Assists / 1 Steal / 5 Blocks (30 Minutes)

 132.
In a game where defense was apparently the most offensive four-letter word ever uttered for the first three quarters, Davis had an amazing sequence where he basically played one-on-three, blocking consecutive shots before hauling in a rebound and getting fouled. Aside from that, he went beast-mode. He did have a few too many turnovers, but there was nothing else you could be unhappy about here. He was right at his season average in points and rebounds by the time he took a breather in the third quarter with four minutes remaining. He nailed a very difficult shot that proved to be the game-winner and then played solid defense against Trae Young to force an air-ball and seal the deal. All this in a game where he missed nearly the entire second quarter after taking a friendly-fire shot above the right eye from Daniel Gafford.

 133.
Dereck Lively: B

 134.
4 Points / 5 Rebounds / 1 Assist / 0 Steals / 1 Block (16 Minutes)

 135.
Lively, like Gafford Monday night, did not look like he missed extended time. Also like Gafford last game, this was in no small part due to minutes-management, but all in all he made the most of his time and looked good doing it, even delivering a spot-on assist to AD for an alley-oop finish.

 136.
Daniel Gafford: B+

 137.
11 Points / 6 Rebounds / 0 Assists / 0 Steals / 1 Block (20 Minutes)

 138.
Gafford converted on five of his seven shots and jammed up the paint whenever he was on the floor. He committed far too many fouls (5) to muddy things up a bit, but really gave it his all in his second game back from injury. He had a few close-outs in a game where that was a rarity and contributed to more rebounds than he himself collected, simply by bodying out the Hawks underneath.

 139.
Max Christie: C

 140.
11 Points / 3 Rebounds / 0 Assists / 0 Steals / 0 Blocks (25 Minutes)

 141.
Christie is about one half-inch away from being what he was when he first arrived. Shooting only 3-for-10 from the floor, it felt like he easily could have shot 7-for-10 given the number of shots that were halfway down only to rim out. Hopefully he can identify a couple of small tweaks and start seeing his shot fall like it was in February.

 142.
Jaden Hardy: B+

 143.
13 Points / 1 Rebound / 3 Assists / 1 Steal / 0 Blocks (22 Minutes)

 144.
Hardy showed his not-so-pretty point guard form and his much prettier shooting guard form. I’ve commented on this before and here we are again. He either needs to develop into a better point guard soon, or Jason Kidd needs to stop letting him orchestrate as frequently. Drawing an offensive foul in each of the third and fourth quarters directly contributed to the Mavs building a lead after trailing much of the game. He went 5-for-9 overall and 3-for-4 on threes.

 145.
Caleb Martin: B+

 146.
8 Points / 1 Rebound / 1 Assist / 2 Steals / 0 Blocks (28 Minutes)

 147.
Watching Martin tonight gave me vibes of former-Mav Eduardo Najera. They are certainly different players, particularly in that Martin can (and did tonight) effectively run the offense, but tonight Martin seemed to do much more than the box score shows. Like Najera used to play, Martin played good defense, got on the floor and had a few nice athletic drives. His grade may seem disproportionately high to some, but watching him play tonight showed a healthier version than we’ve yet seen and he was a positive influence on the game.

 159.
Mavericks vs. Hawks Recap: 3 things from Dallas’ 120-118 win against Atlanta

 165.

 166.
 167.
Anthony Davis’ game-winner gives Dallas a big win

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 120-118 Wednesday night in Dallas in a thrilling game that came down to the final possession for both teams.

 168.
Anthony Davis hit a floater on the move with 3.4 seconds remaining to give Dallas the final lead, before then defending Trae Young on the ensuing possession to secure the win. It was a big win for Dallas, since the Sacramento Kings lost to the Washington Wizards earlier today. The Mavericks win now gives them a game-and-a-half lead for the ninth seed.

 169.
It wasn’t a pretty game, with the Hawks being on the second night of a back-to-back, and Dallas’ defense looking suspect for most of the game, but a win is a win.

 170.
Here’s what we noticed.

 171.
Anthony Davis balls out

 172.
There hasn’t been a lot of fun moments in Dallas since Anthony Davis arrived after the Luka Doncic trade, but Wednesday night was definitely fun. Davis had by far his best game as a Maverick, with 34 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks.

 173.
Obviously there was no bigger play for Davis then his game-winning floater with 3.4 seconds left. Dallas got the ball to Davis, cleared the floor and let him go to work quickly and Davis delivered.

 174.
Davis was everywhere, scoring buckets down low, in the midrange, and he even made two three pointers. Atlanta guarded him straight up, so Davis used his face-up game from the mid-post to either quickly get into the paint or make comfortable mid-range jumpers. Once Atlanta decided to double, Davis wasn’t as effective, but his teammates consistently made shots for most of the night even if Davis didn’t have a big assist game.

 175.
He was also really fun in transition, punctuated by an awesome lob finish from Davis after a beautiful setup from the freshly returned Dereck Lively. It wasn’t a perfect night (Davis still doesn’t seem completely healthy, and doesn’t want to play much defense outside the paint, which the Hawks took advantage of a few times), but Davis is finally starting to look like himself after the long injury layoff.

 176.
Dereck Lively is back

 177.
After suffering a stress fracture in his ankle in January, Mavericks center Dereck Lively finally made his return against Atlanta on Wednesday. Lively had a pretty strict minutes restriction, only playing 16 minutes, but it was good to see him on the court.

 178.
Lively started next to Davis, and it was a pretty fun pairing, especially when Lively found Davis for a lob in the third quarter. Lively didn’t do too much in his time, with just four points and five rebounds, but he moved well and didn’t get hurt again. Which honestly, that’s all Mavs fans can hope for right now.

 179.
It’s easy to win games when you make all your shots

 180.
The Atlanta Hawks stink, especially their defense. Dallas could not afford a rough offensive game against this team, and thankfully they delivered. Dallas’ offense threw in just about everything they put up tonight, shooting 53.5 percent from the floor and 45.5 from three.

 181.
Atlanta had no answers for Davis, clearly, but they also didn’t really have answers for anyone else. Trae Young’s size causes a lot of cascading issues for Atlanta defensively, and you can see that by scanning the box score and seeing how well Dallas’ perimeter players operated: Dallas starting guards, Spencer Dinwiddie and Klay Thompson, combined for 31 points on 7-of-14 shooting from three. Thompson’s three pointer with under a minute remaining tied the game and kept Dallas connected enough for Davis’ heroics in the final seconds.

 182.
This wasn’t a clean game for the Mavericks, as their defense was Swiss cheese for most of the night, and their fourth quarter offense got goofy and allowed the Hawks back in it. With the Hawks on the second night of a back-to-back and Dallas at home, this really should have been a more comfortable win for the Mavericks. But with how things have been going lately, any win is a good win. Dallas moves on.

 200.

 201.
 202.
Dallas should win this game, but they also should’ve won the last game

The Dallas Mavericks (37-39) host the Atlanta Hawks (36-39) Wedesday night at home in the American Airlines Center. Dallas is coming off a rather inexplicable loss to the Brooklyn Nets where the team collectively lost their minds just long enough to fall to an openly tanking team. The Hawks meanwhile have already punched their ticket to the NBA Play-In tournament and dont’t have much to play for at all. That resulted in the Hawks getting swatted by the Portland Trailblazers at home on Tuesday night. Yes, that means Atlanta is playing on the back end of a back-to-back. Here’s the things you need to know:

 203.

 204.

 205. WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Atlanta Hawks

 206.

 207. WHAT: Another attempt to get closer to .500

 208.

 209. WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas

 210.

 211. WHEN: 7:30 pm CST

 212.

 213. HOW: KFAA, MavsTV, and Playback with Kirk and David
 214.

 215.

 216.

 217.
The injury report is much the same as against the Brooklyn Nets: Kyrie Irving, Dante Exum, and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are all out. Dereck Lively is listed as questionable! Anthony Davis and Caleb Martin are listed as probable. Daniel Gafford isn’t on the report at all! The Hawks are missing a lot of guys: Kobe Bufkin, Clint Capela, Jalen Johnson, and Larry Nance Jr. all won’t suit up for Atlanta.

 218.
This is another game Dallas should win. Alas, I said that Monday and they lost. Atlanta is struggling because they aren’t good, it’s the second night of a back-to-back, and because they have little to play for other than pride.

 219.
As you can tell below, you can join me and some other Mavs Moneyball guys in a room on Playback (embedded below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also, consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start after the game. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!

 257.
 258.
Dallas needs to right their wrong from Monday

The Mavericks are looking to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to the Nets on Monday. Their opportunity will come against the Hawks on Wednesday night, without starters Jalen Johnson and Clint Capela. Dallas will have a major size advantage, as they did Monday, and could receive even more depth if Dereck Lively makes his return. It should be a Mavericks paint party, but Atlanta has the shooting to take advantage of the Mavericks’ insistence on scoring inside the line.

 259.
Game Details

 260.
Fixture: Dallas Mavericks vs Atlanta Hawks | NBA 2024-2025

 261.
Date and Time: Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025; 7:30 PM CST

 262.
Venue: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX.

 263.
Outcome Odds

 264.

 265.
Spread: Dallas -4 (-110)

 266.
O/U 240.5 (-110/-110)

 267.
Mavs ML: -166

 268.

 269.
Odds up to date as of 1:30 PM CST from DraftKings

 270.
Dallas should win this game. They are historically very good at bouncing back under Jason Kidd and against a smaller and depleted Atlanta team, they have a great opportunity to do just that. Take Dallas to win (-166).

 271.
Player Props

 272.

 273.
Dyson Daniels over 14.5 points (-110)

 274.
Naji Marshall to get 20+ points + rebounds (+125)

 275.

 276.
Daniels had 17 against the Mavericks earlier this year and is the embodiment of the player archetype that kills the Mavericks. Marshall has taken 14+ shots in three of the last four games and will be able to take advantage of a soft Hawks defense, especially in the non-restricted area paint.

 277.
Play of the Day

 278.

Under 240.5 points (-110)

 279.
This line is absurdly high for a team that just has not scored with ease since Anthony Davis came back. They have not gone over this line in any game Davis has played and won’t tonight.

 299.
The Dallas Mavericks are still fighting for a play-in spot, with a collection of Western Conference teams still shuffling in the standings.

The NBA has released the schedule for the league’s play-in games, where final spots in both the Western and Eastern conference playoffs will be determined. At the end of the regular season teams that finish between seventh and tenth in their respective conferences will face-off to secure the seventh and eighth seeds in the NBA Playoffs.

 306.

 307.
The regular season teams in seventh and eighth will play each other (homecourt to seventh), the winner going on to secure the seventh spot. The loser of that game gets one more crack at the playoffs by facing the winner of the game between the ninth and tenth place team. Winner of that game grabs the eighth and final spot, losers are eliminated.

 308.
The structure of these games gives advantage to the teams in seventh and eighth place from the regular season, allowing them two chances at making the playoffs. While the ninth and tenth place teams will need to win two straight to make the postseason.

 309.
This schedule obviously greatly matters to the Dallas Mavericks, who as of this writing find themselves just a half game ahead of the Sacramento Kings for the ninth spot.

 312.

 313.
Should the season end today the Mavericks would host the Kings in their first play-in game, slated for the evening of April 16 on ESPN (time to be determined). If the Mavericks were to win that game, they would go on to face on April 18 the loser of a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers, their game scheduled for April 15 on TNT.

 314.
There is still some shuffling among these teams that is worth monitoring. It is nearly impossible for the Mavericks to move up in these standings, but they are just a half game ahead of the Kings and only two games ahead of the Phoenix Suns. On the other end, the Timberwolves are currently tied in record with the sixth place Memphis Grizzlies, who are currently in a tail spin. Still plenty to be resolved before these games take place in two weeks time.
