  41. <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sue Perkins, star of The <a href="https://www.mycelebritylife.co.uk/tag/great-british-bake-off" title="Great British Bake Off" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Great British Bake Off</a>, has given a caution following her encounter with a hallucinogenic substance.</p>
  42. <p>The 54-year-old TV broadcaster co-hosted the popular Channel 4 show with comedic sidekick Mel Geidroyc from 2010 to 2016, before moving on to other projects such as travel programmes.</p>
  43. <p>Her most recent work was Sue Perkins: Lost In Alaska, a three-part Channel 5 documentary that caused some confusion during a Behind the Scenes discussion on This Morning.</p>
  44. <p>Sue was appearing on the ITV show to discuss her current game show, Double The Money, when the conversation went to her travel series.</p>
  45. <p>It was discovered that earlier in the morning, she had spoken with This Morning anchor Cat Deeley and writer Tom Swarbrick, during which the term &#8216;Alaska&#8217; was confused with the similar-sounding name of psychoactive Ayahuasca.</p>
  46. <p>The South American drug has hallucinogenic properties, leaving Sue warning: ‘Don’t do it kids.’</p>
  47. <p>Cat had been explaining: ‘We were having a really interesting chat, where Tom was talking and he thought, where was he talking about?’</p>
  48. <p>Sue clarified: ‘He was talking about Ayahuasca, the hallucinogenic drug that is often taken in South America, and you were talking about Alaska, the final frontier.</p>

  54. <p>‘I mean, it was an incredible… a very different concept. I was trying to entertain both of these concepts it was amazing!’</p>
  55. <p>‘Couple of extra consonants and a different continent,’ Ben Shephard chimed in with.</p>
  56. <p>Sue added: ‘I’ve done both! Don’t do it kids!’</p>
  57. <p>Talking about her adventures in Alaska, Sue went on to reveal a moment that turned rather violent.</p>
  58. <p>‘I absolutely loved Alaska, it’s one of the last places on Earth where you can go somewhere and you’re the first boots on the ground, I’ve been to places where no human being has been,’ she said.</p>

  61. <p>‘I feel conflicted because on one hand it’s great and on the other hand they could have had anybody, but most of the places I go are much busier than that.’</p>
  62. <p>Probed on her ‘run-in with the wildlife’ in Alaska, Sue went on: ‘It was quite a full-on experience.’</p>
  63. <p>‘I was going to feed the baby moose, and then baby moose was much bigger than I expected!’ she added.</p>
  64. <p>‘It was quite violent, my shoulder was almost dislocated during that feed!’ she said, recalling how she was ‘blasted against the fence and panicked’.</p>

  102. <p>In the drama, the 52-year-old Fool Me Once actor plays Matthew Nolan, a doctor forced to catch the final aircraft from London to Beijing after being suspected of murdering a lady in the Chinese capital.</p>
  103. <p>DC Hana Li (Jing Lusi) supervises him and is first dissatisfied with the job until she discovers a more sinister motive.</p>
  104. <p>The gripping criminal thriller has captivated fans, who have reported on social media that they binge-watched all six episodes in one evening, risking major sleep deprivation.</p>
  105. <p>They may want to prepare for more sleepless nights, as Richard said during a screening ahead of Red Eye&#8217;s launch that there is a strong desire for a second season.</p>
  106. <p>‘I think there’s a strong desire to come back and do a second season,’ he shared.</p>

  112. <p>‘I’d like to see Nolan more on the front foot. I’d like to see him more activated and dynamic. Because I’m like, who are you really?’</p>
  113. <p>The Stranger actor also shared that more episodes would delve even more tantalisingly into Nolan’s past as they would allow him to ‘fill out a comprehensive backstory and then utilise it.’</p>

  118. <p>This may be important since throughout Red Eye, viewers are attempting to figure out whether Nolan is speaking the truth, and Richard has already said that he struggles to grasp the character.</p>
  119. <p>‘At points, I didn’t really know whether he was telling the truth,’ he shared at a Q&amp;A for Red Eye.</p>
  120. <p>‘He doesn’t really remember what happened that night so he can’t be 100% sure. He’s in a state of flux within himself throughout the story.</p>
  121. <p>‘We ebb and flow between absolutely convinced of his innocence and doubting who he is and whether he’s a spy or some kind of mule.</p>

  125. <p>Richard&#8217;s willingness to return for a second season of Red Eye is a tremendous relief, as he has previously stated that he is tired of acting.</p>
  126. <p>‘My desire to be in front of the camera is diminishing,’ Richard said. Instead, he has a strong pull to instead be behind it – writing and producing.</p>
  127. <p>‘That’s the stuff I’m more interested in now. I want to come in at an earlier stage to shape stories. I’ve grown up.’</p>

  154. <p>Charlotte, 42, an IT programmer from London, had to miss a test after slashing her finger with a knife.</p>
  155. <p>She had been cooking spicy vegan dumplings when she disclosed the mishap, and cameras focused on her bloody wound.</p>
  156. <p>As host John Torode stated she had &#8216;taken the top of her finger off&#8217;, producers zoomed in on the blade, which had a sliver of Charlotte&#8217;s flesh sitting on a chopping board.</p>
  157. <p>The 58-year-old then stated, &#8216;Unfortunately, Charlotte has cut herself and has to leave the MasterChef kitchen for medical assistance, so she will not be finishing the rest of her dish.&#8217;</p>
  158. <p>Viewers on X tweeted their best wishes to Charlotte following the devastating cut, but some questioned the programme&#8217;s editing judgement.</p>
  159. <p>Wondering why the programme showed the injury in all its gory detail, @Melwelshbird commented: ‘#MasterChef Just enjoying homemade shortbread, when they showed that woman’s top of her finger still on the knife! My shortbread nearly came back up.’</p>

  167. <p>As she was preparing her dish, Charlotte calmly announced: ‘Oh sorry, I’ve just cut my finger. Can I have a plaster? [I took] quite a lump out.’</p>
  168. <p>John said: ‘I’m sorry to say you’ve taken the top of your finger off and that means you’re probably going to have to get sorted out.’</p>

  276. <p>Unfortunately for Danny Dyer, the show Scared of the Dark, which he presented, has had its lights switched out.</p>
  277. <p>Deadline verified the announcement on Tuesday (April 23), following months of speculation over which major premieres from 2023 would be green-lit for a second season.</p>
  278. <p>Scared of the Dark followed eight celebrities as they were placed in a bunker and forced to eat, sleep, and, well, survive for eight days in complete darkness.</p>

  294. <p>Former Take Me Out presenter Paddy will be overjoyed, too, since Tempting Fortune isn&#8217;t just back; it&#8217;s being enhanced.</p>
  295. <p>The show&#8217;s second season will include eight episodes, with competitors being dumped in a tropical jungle area for many days.</p>
  296. <p>The idea is for them to resist all the outrageous temptations to win a large sum of money.</p>
  297. <p>Series 1, which was recorded in South Africa, ended with ex-professional basketball player James winning the most, roughly £22,000, after the prize pot began at £30,000.</p>

  340. <p>While many people admire Anne&#8217;s keen wit and even sharper intelligence, she has confessed that she battled to obtain approval from her parents.</p>
  341. <p>Despite her memory abilities, The Chase superstar believed she &#8216;couldn&#8217;t achieve anything&#8217; growing up, which was partially due to her undiagnosed autism.</p>
  342. <p>‘I grew up feeling like I couldn’t really do anything,’ she told <a class="" href="https://7news.com.au/spotlight/the-chase-australias-anne-hegerty-opens-up-in-7news-spotlight-the-secrets-of-the-governess-c-14367903" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">7News</a>. ‘My mother never told me I could accomplish anything.   350. <p>Anne received her diagnosis in 2003, at the age of 45, and dramatically changed her life, taking up quizzing as a Chaser in series two.</p>
  351. <p>The I’m A Celeb star continued: ‘I didn’t really have a particularly good childhood. The music was better, but there’s not much else that was better when I was a kid, to be honest.</p>
  352. <p>‘There are so many people my age who sort of look back nostalgically to earlier times. And I look at them and think, “No, you think it was better because your joints didn’t ache.”‘</p>
  353. <p>When Anne was 12, her father left their family soon before Christmas, leaving a letter that said, &#8216;For Christmas 1970, one house free from spouse.&#8217;</p>

  400. <p>Speaking as a guest on Richard’s <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-rest-is-entertainment/id1718287198" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Rest is Entertainment podcast</a> – which he hosts alongside Marina Hyde, Alan was asked by the former Pointless host: ‘What happens if the makeover is awful? Does the production company pay to put it right?’</p>
  401. <p>Alan replied: ‘Yes, sometimes the people who own the shop or hairdressers or the hotel room really hate what they’ve done.</p>
  402. <p>‘What we do is we go back and paint it back to how it originally was so no one is offended.’</p>

  408. <p>‘I have to say, in the old days with things like Changing Rooms, I think they just left you with it,’ she said.</p>
  409. <p>‘I think you had to sign the release form and, no offence to the designers in that because there was always that incredible time pressure element, they had to, like, glue gun and staple gun a lot of stuff… and people were left with these things!’</p>
  410. <p>She recalled: ‘I remember once reading an interview with a woman who was so horrified by what her neighbours had wished upon her in one of those shows that she thought, “Right, I’m gonna have to research how to put this back myself,” and she got so into it that she discovered her passion and ended up becoming an interior designer!’</p>
  411. <p>It is not the first time that the secrets of an interiors exhibition have been revealed.</p>
  412. <p>Previously, people who worked on series like 60 Minute Makeover, in which a property is changed in, you guessed it, 60 minutes, have disclosed that it&#8217;s all a &#8216;lie&#8217;.</p>

  415. <p>Craig Phillip, a professional builder who won the first season of Big Brother and worked on 60 Minute Makeover, stated that everything is staged.</p>
  416. <p>He told the Daily Star: ‘It happens in the time that you see us recording it but it’s the planning and preparation off camera that you don’t always see to make us be able to do it in that time frame.</p>
  417. <p>‘Let’s face it, what you see in the house happens in the 60 minutes because we shoot it in two 30-minute halves.’</p>
  418. <p>The former reality star also told the magazine that work would have already begun before the cameras started rolling.</p>
  419. <p>‘For example, for a kitchen, we are ripping out a kitchen and we’re ripping it out on camera, they only need to use 20 or 30 seconds of that kitchen being dismantled.</p>
  420. <p>‘So off camera, we will go in, we will isolate all the boarded stuff, the electric, the gas, the water underneath disconnect it, put caps on everything, making sure it’s all safe.</p>
  421. <p>‘The kitchen tops, we would have loosened all the plugs and undone all the legs.’</p>
  422. <p>He joked that ‘on camera when they blow the whistle and we start and we go in and look like we’re Superman’.</p>

  456. <p>Richard, 53, confirmed the story on his podcast The Rest is Entertainment, revealing that Amblin Entertainment, Steven Spielberg&#8217;s production business, is producing it.</p>
  457. <p>The narrative revolves around four friends living in a retirement home in Kent who band together to investigate murders for fun before being involved in a real-life case.</p>
  458. <p>Helen, 78, plays ex-spy Elizabeth, Ben, 80, as ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim, and Pierce, 70, as former union activist Ron.</p>
  459. <p>Joyce, the final of the four, is yet to be released, but based on the names revealed thus far, she is expected to be an amazing addition.</p>
  460. <p>Teasing the announcement, Richard wrote on X: ‘Just been on a call with Amblin, and the cast for #TheThursdayMurderClub movie is insanely great, I think people are going to love it.</p>
  461. <p>‘Official announcements very soon, and can’t wait to share it with everyone.’</p>
  462. <p>Richard, whose brother is Suede’s Mat Osman, is best known for his TV stints, including as the host of House of Games.</p>

  498. <p>‘Now I’ve heard how it all works and the big money involved, I want to put it to the test, it’s time to launch my own showmance,’ she stated on her Channel 4 documentary, UNTOLD: Love in the Limelight.</p>
  499. <p>The <a href="https://www.mycelebritylife.co.uk/tag/love-island" title="love island" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Love Island</a> actor&#8217;s covert mission entailed collaborating with a photographer to set images with Too Hot To Handle star Harry Johnson, who was also involved.</p>
  500. <p>Chloe had never met Harry, but they pushed that aside and went for a romantic dog walk in the park. It wasn&#8217;t simply their previous relationship that was bogus; the dog didn&#8217;t belong to either of them! To make it more convincing, they also snapped photographs together at a restaurant and exiting a hotel.</p>
  501. <p>Their strategy succeeded, and the photographs appeared in periodicals and on social media. It wasn&#8217;t long before apparel firms featured in the photos contacted me, offering me money in exchange for an interview.</p>
  502. <p>‘If I really was going to be serious, that is so easy to make money off,’ Chloe remarked.</p>
  503. <p>‘You can start to see the web of finances that can go behind a reality couple.’</p>
  504. <p>The fictitious pair then met with celebrity agent Dave Read, who handles Joey Essex and Hannah Elizabeth, to explore possible next steps.</p>
  505. <p>Dave informed the couple that social media engagement was high, they&#8217;d both grown their Instagram followers by up to 5%, and he saw a profitable future.</p>
  506. <p>He indicated that some of their revenue may come from pap pictures of them house hunting and shopping for engagement rings, as well as brand collaborations with household firms.</p>
  507. <p>‘There’s no reason that between you in one year you couldn’t bank a quarter of a million pounds,’ he revealed to a shocked Chloe.</p>
  508. <p>However, despite the earning potential, Chloe felt she would mentally struggle with going down that road of having more attention, and presenting something to the public that isn’t real.</p>
  509. <p>Since finding fame, Chloe often checks what people say about her, and if she sees something bad then her ‘whole day is ruined’. ‘It’s like a grey cloud,’ she summarised.</p>

  616. <p>Scientists having to confront their scepticism of the technology they built to rescue the day is not a novel concept in science fiction, but something about JLo&#8217;s film has irritated audiences.</p>

  715. <p>A celebrity from one of the world&#8217;s most popular television series has responded after a troll wrote them a vile racial comment on social media.</p>
  716. <p>Season 2 of House of the Dragon, the critically praised Game of Thrones spinoff series, will air in June of this year.</p>
  717. <p>The prequel will continue to chronicle the conflict between competing sections of the Targaryen dynasty as erstwhile childhood best friends Rhaenyra (Emma D&#8217;Arcy) and Alicent (Olivia Cooke) face off against each other with fire-breathing dragons in an attempt to capture the Iron Throne.</p>
  718. <p>Bethany Antonia stars as Baela Targaryen, the daughter of Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) and Laena Velaryon (Nanna Blondell).</p>
  719. <p>The teaser for the second season of House of the Dragon debuted last month and has already received millions of views on YouTube.</p>
  720. <p>In an Instagram Story post, Bethany said that after the teaser was out, she received a nasty comment in her DMs from a racist troll.</p>

  776. <p>With Ralf Little about to stand down from heading the cast of Death in Paradise, a Gavin and Stacey veteran has emerged as the contender to take his place.</p>
  777. <p>Ralf, 44, who played DI Neville Parker on the detective programme for four years, resigned earlier this year following a poignant last episode that sent viewers to tears.</p>
  778. <p>With the former Royle Family star out, speculation has been wild over who would fill his shoes, and it appears that another British sitcom classic is prepared to do exactly that.</p>
  779. <p>Bookmaker Coral has picked Mathew Horne as their new favourite to succeed Ralf, with his chances of becoming the next detective recently reduced to just 6-4.</p>
  780. <p>John Hill, a Coral spokesperson, said of the recent betting developments: ‘Mathew Horne is the big mover in our betting to be the next lead detective on Death In Paradise. He’s been well-backed over the last 24 hours, which may suggest he now leads the race for the role.’</p>
  781. <p>Fans of Death in Paradise may be surprised to hear this news, since they had expected two other British comic stars to compete to portray the next DI.</p>
  782. <p>Simon Bird of The Inbetweeners is expected to succeed Ralf at 5-2 odds, but Diane Morgan of Philomena Cunk is also in the running to become the show&#8217;s first lead female investigator.</p>
  783. <p>Ben Miller was the series&#8217; first detective, portraying DI Richard Poole in seasons one and two. Kris Marshall took over as DI Humphrey Goodman, and he remained from seasons three to six.</p>

  794. <p>Speaking to <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/bbc-death-paradise-star-reveals-32574116" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Mirror</a>, Peter said: ‘I’ve noticed the parts are smaller now. I still get offered a good deal of work, but I’m not in that bracket where the shows I do say, “…and Peter Davison”.’</p>

The Field of Dreams presently allows travellers to stay in five different adapted vehicles, including a Maltese public transport bus called Patricia after Johnny&#8217;s mother and a helicopter that served in Chile.</p>
  826. <p>The inactive forms of travel are stationed at Melbourne Hall in South Derbyshire after persuading owners Lord and Lady Kerr to give them permission to operate from there.</p>
  827. <p>The intriguing enterprise created ideal fodder for a reality TV series, and Channel 4&#8217;s Carry on Glamping was born, documenting the highs and lows of Johnny&#8217;s tenure at the head of the endeavour.</p>

  833. <p>‘I can not put in words how wonderful The Field Of Dreams is,’ wrote one visitor called Ma.</p>
  834. <p>While Kev G said: ‘From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome.</p>
  835. <p>‘The people are very friendly and the site is beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something a bit different to the normal camping experience.’</p>
  836. <p>However, while the tourists may be happy, <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/motors/27401571/johnny-vegas-town-travellers-camp-vehicle-glamping-site/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Sun</a> claims that some locals aren’t pleased.</p>
  837. <p>A resident told the publication: ‘I think it looks like a Travellers’ camp. It’s horrible for Melbourne. I think it looks hideous and awful.</p>
  838. <p>‘It’s very distracting, particularly at night. From higher up in Melbourne you can see the lights in a landscape that is purely beautiful.’</p>

  842. <p>Architect Amanda who has lived in the area for over a decade praised the business, but declared it isn’t somewhere she’d stay: ‘It does bring business to the area which is good but there are a lot of people about and some of them have dropped litter. On the whole, it’s not a bad thing. It just looks a bit odd.’</p>
  843. <p>Others declared that they love the glamping site, and enjoy speaking to Johnny, 53, about his upcoming plans, which are said to include a submarine.</p>

  848. <p>Guests can book their stay on the <a href="https://www.melbournehall.com/johnny-vegas-glamping/#faqs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Melbourne Hall website</a>, which is open for 2024 bookings – you can book to stay between now and October 3 – and booking is open for 2025 too showing there’s no signs of closing down. It is still proving very popular with most slots already taken.</p>

  853. <p>‘Each special vehicle is spaced out just as before, with a sense of its own individual plot, and we’re nurturing the communal feel too; with the pitstop area, communal fire and bell tent with games to share in, still in the same spot around the centre of the field,’ the website reads. But how much is it going to set you back?</p>
  854. <p>Johnny has two pricing bands: peak and off-peak, which are mostly determined by school holidays. Guests must remain for at least two days on weekdays and three days on weekends.</p>

It is designed for one to two people and contains a bathtub, a fire pit that can be used for barbecues and a converted horse trailer restroom.</p>

  890. <p>The Shōgun finale concludes one of 2024&#8217;s most renowned TV series.</p>
  891. <p>Starring Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, and Cosmo Jarvis, the FX and Disney Plus drama has been nothing short of spectacular, taking audiences to Japan&#8217;s chaotic feudal era in the year 1600.</p>
  892. <p>As fans prepare to say goodbye to this gem of television, co-creators Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks stated that the last episode had an alternate conclusion that was removed due to being &#8216;fake&#8217;.</p>
  893. <p>In the concluding scene of Shōgun, the newest adaptation of James Clavell&#8217;s novel, Lord Yoshii Toranaga (Hiroyuki) shares meaningful glances with John Blackthorne (Cosmo) and looks out into the distance.</p>
  894. <p>Toranaga had just disclosed his future plan to Kashigi Yabushige (Tadanobu Asano), a future that his real-life counterpart Tokugawa Ieyasu had previously attained.</p>

  900. <p>Toranaga tells Yabushige: ‘Don’t you see what’s coming next? In just one month, we will meet our enemies at Sekigahara. Five armies squaring off on the field of battle.’</p>
  901. <p>He goes on to say that his &#8216;dream will be achieved&#8217; in the battlefield, with Edo, the previous name for Tokyo, becoming his &#8216;centre of power&#8217; during &#8216;an period of great peace&#8217;.</p>
  902. <p>Justin, the showrunner, revealed that the ending of Shōgun was initially planned to have a Blackthorne sequence, but this was later changed.</p>
  903. <p>Meanwhile, another scene portraying Blachthorne in his old age was removed from the series entirely.</p>
  904. <p>‘We tried a number of things, because the final episode deals with indeterminate futures. The book ends this way very beautifully in this ambiguity and almost like there’s an ambivalence towards the future, in every way,’ Justin said.<br />

  906. ‘Toranaga is certain in his mind of what’s going to happen at Sekigahara, but even the way we chose to shoot that, the way Sam McCurdy lit it, the way Michael Cliett built the field, there’s a sort of hyperreality or unreality to it in a certain way that we were after there, where it feels like it was more like a dream. Whether it occurs that way is anyone’s guess.’</p>
  907. <p>Rachel added: ‘If we have done our job, I think we have presented characters like Toranaga who believe so wholly and passionately and almost obsessively in their vision that you too believe that this will come to pass. How he’s seeing what he’s envisioning is in fact what happens.</p>
  908. <p>‘It’s tough too because we know that his vision did come to pass. So there’s that trickiness of well, we do know that it worked, but I hope that you see just the passion or the conviction. This is why I have lost everybody close to me – because that comes second to what I’m seeing.’</p>
  909. <p>As for Blackthorne, Justin revealed that they ‘shot a number of different ideas’ when it came to the Shōgun finale, as sometimes in TV ‘you’d like to choose, especially when it comes to endings’.</p>
  910. <p>‘One of the scenes is actually in the cut in the show, which was this beautiful moment of Blackthorne striding out into his garden, sitting down and meditating, which we originally intended to be several months after the events of the show,’ he shared.</p>

  913. <p>‘With Cosmo that day, we even played around with a callback to this wonderful line in the book where he looks at the rock and he says, “Alright, you bastard now grow.” It was really sweet and really funny.’</p>
  914. <p>The episode&#8217;s director, Frederick EO Toye, devised a means to move the moment earlier in the tale, with the team subsequently applying visual effects to restore bruises and scars to Cosmo&#8217;s face.</p>
  915. <p>Another possible ending was not utilised in the programme, and it depicted an older version of Blackthorne staring out at the sea in the same location where the narrative began in episode one, with Toranaga&#8217;s spy Muraji (Yasunari Takeshima).</p>
  916. <p>‘We wanted to do old man Blackthorne, to definitively say that he, like William Adams, stayed in Japan,’ Justin said, referencing Blackthorne’s real-life counterpart, who became an advisor to Ieyasu, became a Western samurai and settled in Japan.</p>
  917. <p>The screenwriter added: ‘And I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the determinism of it. It felt ordained in some way and false. Like everything we’re saying, we wanted that the future could exist in the haze and the cloud and that it shouldn’t be something we ever give satisfaction for.</p>
  918. <p>‘So we never ended up using it. I remember the day we shot it and it was a great job and beautifully done, but it just felt dishonest to the characters in the moment.’</p>
  919. <p>Blackthorne&#8217;s journey takes an uncertain turn in the last episode, which opens with him as an elderly man in bed in England, being questioned by his grandkids about his exploits in Japan while clutching the rosary given to him by Mariko (Anna).</p>
  920. <p>This, of course, differs from what occurred to William Adams, as well as the fictionalised version of the character&#8217;s story in the 1975 novel.</p>
  921. <p>In the Shōgun finale, Blackthorne is encouraged by his former consort Fuji (Moeka Hoshi) to drop Mariko&#8217;s rosary into a body of water. As a result, the scene with his elder self could not have taken place exactly as represented.</p>

  924. <p>‘Everything’s open to interpretation. For us, it was pretty clean cut,’ said Justin.</p>
  925. <p>‘We wanted to do something where the story would start with a theoretical, in a very classic structure, where things are just a memory of an old man looking back, and here we are, now we’ve come home to England.</p>
  926. <p>‘But what you realise you’re looking at as the story goes on is kind of the nightmare of a young man looking forward and looking forward to a possible future and a future that he has to sever himself from in the key moment of the show in the finale,</p>
  927. <p>‘So here he is at the end, and he says, I don’t want it. I want to be free of it. Kind of like what Mariko says to him in episode five of being free of yourself. If all you’re ever after is your own free will… We as Westerners see that as a very liberating thing. Free will! The horizon, choose our destiny… but Backthorne is very imprisoned by that horizon until the end.’</p>
  928. <p>However, co-creator Rachel had a different interpretation of the scene.</p>
  929. <p>‘Now that we’re talking about it, I think it is a little bit open to interpretation, because I don’t know if he was consciously choosing to cut off the possibility of that future,’ she remarked.</p>

  932. <p>‘I think more than anything, that’s what happened by releasing the rosary. I don’t think he’s consciously choosing, I think that’s what happened.</p>
  933. <p>‘In the moment I don’t even know if he was intending to release it. It was meant to be for Fuji, the cross.’</p>
  934. <p>Justin chimed in to add: ‘Yeah, the cross was this impulsive… he was so moved by Fuji.’</p>
  935. <p>Producer Eriko Miyagawa agreed that the old man Blackthorne scene – which was shown before viewers witnessed the younger version of the pilot holding Mariko’s dead body after an explosion – was ‘very much hypothetical’.</p>
  936. <p>‘It’s one of those things when you’re sort of in front of the door of death, the door to the other side of life,’ she outlined.</p>
  937. <p>‘I think you tend to have these kinds of flashbacks or what ifs. I think it’s one of those moments when he was hovering, and what it could be.’</p>

  966. <p>Fans of the superheroes have been clamouring for this union since the release of X-Men Origins Wolverine in 2009, when Ryan Reynolds&#8217; Deadpool first appeared on film.</p>
  967. <p>Following the release of Deadpool and Deadpool 2 in 2016 and 2018, respectively, Deadpool and Wolverine began development, with the first trailer released today.</p>
  968. <p>Despite swearing not to reprise his legendary role after Logan, Hugh Jackman returns as Wolverine, with Reynolds playing his foul-mouthed foe.</p>
  969. <p>Among the expletives, explosions, narcotics, and hand claws to the genitals, fans were treated to an X-Men-themed easter egg.</p>
  970. <p>Wolverine appears in a slow-motion montage wearing a recognisable sleeveless yellow suit reminiscent of the Marvel comics and X-Men animated series.</p>

  1056. <p>The 35-year-old is putting his body to the test with 30 marathons in 30 days on challenging terrain &#8211; sand. He will go 1,266 km from July 26 to August 27.</p>
  1057. <p>If Spencer succeeds, he will hold the record for the most consecutive sand marathons.A dedicated adjudicator will be present during each marathon to oversee progress and guarantee that the tight regulations are followed. Spencer&#8217;s marathon will be null and invalid if his feet come into contact with anything other than sand.</p>
  1058. <p>‘It’s the equivalent of running the entire length of the UK, completely on sand, in temperatures well over 40 degrees Celsius,’ Spencer pointed out.</p>
  1059. <p>‘There’s a reason this has never been done before…’ he stated. ‘Let’s make history!!’</p>
  1060. <p>Spencer is taking on the mission for a very special cause – he will be trying to raise money for <a href="https://www.makesomenoise.com/spencer-matthews-challenge/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Global’s Make Some Noise</a>, who support small charities across the UK.</p>

  1064. <p>‘I’ve taken part in some really tough races, and I wanted to push the boat out this time and try my best to make as much of a difference as possible,’ he told Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on Heart Breakfast.</p>
  1065. <p>Spencer has already run five marathons and finished third in the Jungle Ultra Marathon in June 2023, spanning 230 miles of the Amazon Rainforest.</p>
  1066. <p>Following the announcement, Spencer came on Lorraine to talk about the forthcoming challenge.</p>
  1067. <p>‘I’ve done a few of these ultras before. It’s a love, hate thing but I was looking to do more. I’ve always been really curious about how far the mind and body can go and I really wanted to design and create a challenge that would be a ‘world first’ so this would be a world record if achieved,’ he explained.</p>

  1072. <p>Undertaking such a Spencer says that taking on such a massive endurance challenge helps him discover more about himself: &#8220;I honestly feel like I learn an awful lot about myself when I do these sorts of things.&#8221; endurance test helps Spencer to learn more about who he is: ‘I honestly feel like I learn an awful lot about myself when I do these sorts of things.</p>
  1073. <p>‘I’m interested in understanding how far I can push myself.</p>
  1074. <p>‘It’s not too long ago that doing any running of any kind would have been difficult. I’ve struggled with problems with alcohol in my life and I am keen to push myself and test myself but also draw attention to the fact that anyone can do interesting things if they set their mind to it.’</p>
  1075. <p>His wife, Vogue Williams, 38, was also in the studio and said that, while she will miss him, &#8216;the break will be good&#8217;. Spencer will also be separated from their younger children, Theodore, Gigi, and Otto.</p>

  1197. <p>Anna and her sister Mandi co-host the successful podcast Sisters In The City, but she has decided to return to work part-time as a chemist.</p>
  1198. <p>She did so at the height of the pandemic, saying at the time: ‘It was so weird going back and almost felt like the whole show didn’t happen and that was all a dream.</p>
  1199. <p>‘It was so scary at the time because Covid was at its peak. It was just something I felt I had to do. It was just nice to help out at a time when everyone was in need.’</p>

  1202. <p>‘It played on my mind that I’d studied so hard to be a pharmacist and I wasn’t using it, and forgetting everything I’d learned,’ Anna said.</p>
  1203. <p>After just a couple of months, she already felt brighter.</p>
  1204. <p>‘I feel so much better mentally, I’m enjoying keeping my brain ticking and being back in the job.’</p>
  1205. <p>Anna, who had studied for five years to become a chemist, was overwhelmed when she left the villa and was presented with chance after opportunity.</p>

  1282. <p>Lisa and the previous Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The hosts are preparing for the premiere of the show&#8217;s third season, which will continue to follow the couple as they negotiate operating a farm and the challenges that come with it.</p>
  1283. <p>This includes running Diddly Squat Farm, a ‘Cotswolds-based emporium of edible delights and potatoes.’</p>
  1284. <p>Speaking before the launch of series 3, Lisa was quizzed on the farm’s shop and how it can only sell items produced within 16 miles.</p>
  1285. <p>‘Charlie had to have a serious conversation with me and say that I could end up with a criminal record if I didn’t comply,’ she explained.</p>
  1286. <p>Lisa added: ‘It’s council regulations which I respect, especially after Charlie explained it to me in his clear and concise way.</p>
  1287. <p>As for what fans can expect in the upcoming episodes, she said: ‘When you first catch up with us again, the restaurant has been forced to close down by the local council.</p>
  1288. <p>‘We’re allowed to keep our gourmet food van so that we can cook the meat from our animals, which is great, but it would have been nice to continue the restaurant because it’s a stunning spot.’</p>
  1289. <p>As for the future of the show, when asked how long she’d like to continue making Clarkson’s Farm, Lisa said: ‘As long as it’s educating people, and showing people how difficult farming is, and it’s helping people appreciate food in a way that they may not have before.’<br />

  1294. <p>Jeremy apparently told her he had a &#8216;huge surprise&#8217; for her, and when she enquired if it was a proposal, he feigned not to hear and instead showed her a fallen willow tree blooming back into life.</p>
  1295. <p>After she followed up about the proposal, he said: ‘I’ll think about the proposal, ok? I’m not ready yet.’</p>
