I made my decision to get the extensions based on the information I found on their website. The information on their website was WRONG. The website stated that the cost of the extensions was $175.00, and that fills needed to be done every 4 weeks and that the cost of the fills was 40.00. I didn't think 40.00 a month was unreasonable so I made an appointment. It was not until I showed up for my appointment that I was told I would need to have the fills done every 2-2 1/2 weeks for the 40.00 price. Once a month would actually be 125.00. Now, after checking with salons in Indianapolis and not finding anyone who does lashes for less than 300.00, I'm not complaining about the price, I just believe their website is very misleading and I would never have decided to have my lashes done if I knew the upkeep would cost 80.00 per month instead of 40.00. It is just not an amount of money that *I* wanted to pay. Now, that being said, I did go ahead and have my lashes done the one time because of an event I had coming up. Lacey did my lashes and they looked superb!!! Even looking up very close there is no way to distinguish that they are not real. I was VERY happy with them and if anyone is looking to have their lashes done, and know all the costs ahead of time, I highly recommend her. Went there for a haircut. Great service and reasonable price. Haircut comes with complimentary chair massage. Will be going back. I came here to get my makeup done for a wedding. We ran into some scheduling problems because my sister was told that our appointments were one time, and when they called to confirm the day before she was given different times. However, since her wedding was the next day, there were some problems rearranging the appointments so we could be done before the wedding. When I arrived for my appointment, I waited over 25 minutes after my scheduled time. I had to ask the receptionist when I would be seen, and then she informed me that our makeup artists assistant had called off. Oops! I wish I would have been told that when I checked in so I knew to prepare for a delay. However, I understand that sometimes people call off and emergencies come up. They did a good job of having other people help prep me before I got my makeup applied. Natalie was my (and the bride's) makeup artist. The bride looked gorgeous, and Natalie took the time to help her figure out what would help her look her best. They applied false lashes and used airbrush makeup. I loved the false lashes ($20 extra), but thought the airbrush makeup looked too cakey and came actually cracked after a few hours. Just go with regular foundation. All in all, I loved having my makeup done here. Bring a picture of what you want, because I didn't and I ended up looking different than what I had pictured. I'm not very good at explaining what I want so it would have made my life easier! All in all: The service could have been better (tell me if my stylist is running behind), but they did a great job with our wedding makeup. No need to do airbrush makeup as it was cakey, settled in fine lines and cracked off after a few hours. This is my first ever review for anything but I thought I'd give my opinion because I am missing Evan Todd SOOO much since moving. Let me start off by saying how picky I am with my hair. I have tried dozens of salons throughout the years and Evan Todd is my number one choice. I recently just moved to San Diego, CA. I thought I would have NO problem finding a salon here since most things usually are better in California than Indiana lol. Not the case. I have been to 3 high end Aveda salons since I have moved out here and I am DYING to visit back home just so I can go to Evan Todd for my hair and facials. THE SALON: Lily is amazing! Not only does she give the BEST blow outs in the world she is great with cuts, color, consultation and conversation. I don't know how ANYONE could have a negative thing to say about her. I love the ambiance of the salon as well. It looks very chic and up-to-date. Only thing I wish they offered was a glass of wine while you are getting pampered. Sarah for facials is amazing too! She focuses on whatever your problem areas are and will customize facials for each person. Her massages while getting your facials is to die for. I've gotten 4 facials while I've been here and I'm so disappointed. I want Sarah back! She even gave me a sample of the mask she used on my face to take home and months later I could still use it. I love that they aren't product pushers here either. All of the salons I have been to in the past have pretty much begged me to purchase what they used on me during my appointment. I'm all about buying good hair and skin products but after I'm already spending a good amount of money on services, I don't want to feel pressured to buy anything else. Just a nice recommendation would be nice and that's what they do well here. Thanks Evan Todd for making me so disappointed in California salons lol. I will be booking an appointment for Thanksgiving when I return home for the holidays! I have been getting my hair cut here for five years by Cari. My hair is very thick, very curly and difficult to work with. Cari has cut and styled it in so many ways over the last five years: everything including a pixie cut, asymmetrical bob, shoulder length with bangs and more. Now that I've moved out of state, it's hard to find someone that compares! I also have been there for eyelash extensions and airbrush makeup. I am obsessed with the eyelash extensions since I used to go through falsies and mascara by the case. With extensions you don't ever have to wear mascara again and your lashes look perfect the moment you wake up. I also like the airbrush makeup for special occasions. I have only had my hair blow dried and styled there, which always comes out really great, but I am considering getting my hair colored there as well just because they are so convenient. I'm just so scared of breaking up with my current stylist who is much farther away. As far as reviews with complaints about rude front desk. I have never had a problem and I usually walk in looking like a ragga-muffin. I think maybe because the front desk people sit so low when you walk up to the high partition it just seems awkward to have people staring up at you. If they were seated heads above the partition it might not seem so weird. Had a haircut and blow dry with Meghan. She was great! Loved the end product. Atmosphere was comfortable, staff was friendly. On street parking was a little challenging. Credit Josh Haner/The New York Times Told that the owner, Nuri Yurt, was with clients, both callers said they sought his opinion of Callista Gingrich’s hair — the strikingly perfect platinum bob, with the distinctive over-the-left-eye swoosh, that has increasingly captured the attention of hairdressers, journalists, and women of a similar demographic worldwide. Both times, the callers declined to leave a message, saying they would call back — creating a moment of political frisson at the salon. Mr. Yurt, known for styling Laura Bush when she was first lady, was left to wonder whether the calls were from the campaign itself. Was Mrs. Gingrich interested in switching stylists, and perhaps going for a softer, more touchable, more Laura Bush aesthetic? “If I have an opportunity, sure, of course I would like to change that look, ” Mr. Yurt said of Mrs. Gingrich. “Her friends and people who know her, they say, ‘Nuri, you should put your hands in it.’ But I never had any chance.” Yes, there are pressing issues facing the nation, from unemployment to foreclosures. But there is still room, it seems, to contemplate the fixed pale-blonde halo framing the delicate head of Newt Gingrich’s wife. She has been asked about her hairdo “at every stop, ” said Kellyanne Conway, a pollster and senior strategist for the Gingrich campaign. “Men say, ‘I love your hair, ’ women compliment her and then say, ‘How do you keep it so perfect?’ ” (The secret: hair spray, specifically Kenra Volume Spray 25.) Callista Gingrich’s bob is the latest addition to a distinguished roster of political hair to be parsed for meaning, from Hillary Clinton’s headbands to John Edwards’s $400 trim to the Sarah Palin up-do that even many Democrats grudgingly admired. Mrs. Gingrich’s hair is only the second-most-talked-about of the current campaign season, with her husband’s rival, Mitt Romney, coming in first. Hair is, literally, an extension of politicians’ selves, inviting scrutiny, Facebook posts and hair punditry: What does it say about them? What does it really say? Cindi Leive, the editor in chief of Glamour magazine, said it was unfair to judge campaign hair, which exists “in its own realm, ” by runway and real-world barometers. In Mrs. Gingrich’s case, Ms. Leive said: “I’m just kind of fascinated by the aerodynamic properties involved, and how she gets it to do the exact same thing every time. I couldn’t get my hair to do the exact same thing every day for nine months if you gave me a billion dollars to do it.” Political hair, Mrs. Conway agreed, must be seen in the context of a churning campaign that is “uncertain and dynamic and ever-changing.” “If you can grab onto four or five things that you can control and that don’t change, ” she said, “that might be the proverbial anchor in the storm.” So what does the flaxen bob convey? Mrs. Gingrich is “a very fastidious, meticulous, polished person, and that is reflected in her hair, ” Mrs. Conway said. Others have been less generous. On The Daily Beast, the fashion critic Robin Givhan wrote that Mrs. Gingrich’s “eerily flawless” hairdo, along with other elements of her style, exuded “an excruciating prissiness.” She wrote: “Youthfulness is not her obsession. Control and order are.” Holly Allen, of Slate, spent four hours in a Georgetown salon getting her hair colored and cut in an effort to replicate the Callista. Without the signature hair spray (the stylist refused), the bob was a different, more natural, beast. “Why does she do it?” Ms. Allen wrote. “To conform to some ideal of the ‘Washington wife’? To look older, bridging the age gap between her and Newt?” (The slender, fair-skinned Mrs. Gingrich, 45, is her 68-year-old husband’s third wife, and began dating him when he was married to his second. Concept is that place! They also do mani/pedi's but I've never tried that. My facials with Olga are thorough and they use great products. This place is a clean, hidden gem! Update: Concept has become my favorite salon where I'll go for massages, facials, all hair appointments, manicures and pedicures.I love this place!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Came there to cut my hair A LITTLE BIT. Explained the hairdresser that I wanna do kind of the same what I had, but my ends were pretty damaged and I just wanna cut them a lil bit, so I asked for " BOB" - shorter on the back and longer on the front, she said " ok" and started the process. If you don't smoke just don't even try to go there, cuz these guys are smokers and you can smell this " ombré" which s disgusting! So when she finished with blow drying I was shocked how horrible and opposite from what I asked for my new haircut is!!! And when I told her that she messed up my hair, she tried to say that I'm wrong! WHAT?! So no apologies, nothing like " left me fix it". At least I've got the special deal as a new client and paid 25$ + tax and + tips ( of course I tipped her, just because I'm too nice) Will never come back! disgusting pitiful establishment. the receptionist is rude and the owner is horrible. they make appointments and then cancel them and when i complained he cursed at me. do not go there...it is not part of concept elite! Crystal is absolutely amazing!!! Not only did she turn my dark brown hair into blonde but she told me to come a few days later to get more toner. She also did an oplex treatment, and left it on my hair for a few extra minutes. She truly goes above and beyond, she's just a miracle worker. I have been looking for a stylist to tame my curly hair since I moved to this neighborhood and I finally found it at this salon. The girls are friendly and sweet and I felt very comfortable from the time I stepped in. I'm not sure the girls name but she is in the first chair and has threaded my eyebrows before. Awesome threading btw! But she was able to handle my very kinky curly hair without overheating it. I am so glad I found a local spot to do my hair, eyebrows and they even do pedicures. Overall very pleased with this place. This place is a shady business. They can sell you a card today and then change the policy regarding the expiration period of the card and there is nothing you can do. It is your responsibility to check their website and make sure that the policy is still the same as of at the time of the sale. Do not trust them, get a proof in writing and make them sign it. I purchased prepaid card for facials during the spring special sale back in 2013 and had one left at the end of 2014. At the time of the sale their receptionist did not tell me anything about expiration date and I was believed that it was valid for the life time of the business. Also I was given a number instead of the card and was told that the number without the card was enough. I called them in November 2014 to verify that the number was still good and was told nothing about the expiration date, so I decided to give my last facial to someone as a Christmas present. When that person called them in January of 2015 to schedule an appointment, they said that it expired as of 12/31/14. I called and spoke with the owner who promised to call me back and never did. The receptionist kept mumbling about their policies on website and the gift cards that they sell (I have never seen one). They acted like I came to their place and sold that prepaid number (not a card) to myself. They do not keep record of their customers and have no idea who is their regular customer and who is not. It is hard for me to believe that after being their customer for at least three years they could put me through the frustrating experience of arguing with them on the phone for $50 which I have already paid. They blamed everything on their former employee and denied any responsibility. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from their gift cards. I didn't know why people write bad reviews. That's waste so much time. However, today I this salon really make me upset, so I want to share my experience with future visitors and the owners of the salon. This is the third time I'm visiting this salon. The first two time I got a good girl and I like my hair treatment; but today it was just a nightmare. I got hair treatment and facial today. Shampoo girl thought I wanted to wash hair, so they put me on the head washing chair(They have 2 chairs). I seat for 5 minutes in the chair, but the girl was busy, I didn't want to seat in this chair, so I went to seat near entrance. Then she called me, so I come and seat on the chair, but this chair was very uncomfortable(it hurt my neck). I told them and they told me to wait again for another chair. So I waited for second time. When I ask something, she didn't understand what I was saying. But, that is okay. The whole time they were talking something about me on Russian (I understand a little bit of Russian). They can talk Russian later, not when they doing service for customers. Who like it? Next was the Facial. I wanted 20 min massage, but she looks professional that is why i did 30 min mini facial for $45. But she is not professional! When she put the mask on me she went to smoke. When she came back her hands smells so bad. I couldn't relax during facial. How much she didn't respect me that she smokes right before touching my face. Terrible! I didn't want to fight with them, so I didn't tell them nothing. They all Russian and they all will support each other. When I was paying money they were still talking Russian... I pay for all their service, even left more than 20% tips. But, be sure I will never come back to this place! I came here after getting a bad hair cut somewhere else. The hair stylist Anastasia fixed my hair cut right up and made it very nice and even :) great place!
